This Hotel was absolutely misrepresented on the hotels.com website. It was listed as having a restaurant and rooftop bar and had neither of those. Also it was supposed to have airport transportation services and after booking, i messaged the property and they said they hadnt provided those since covid since it was cheaper to just get a taxi from the airport. The hotel is off the main street so you have to walk to the main street to be picked up for any tours/grabs, but also the side street is still incredibly busy so it was loud all night/morning. Also we were 3 floors up and there was no elevator so we had to lug heavy suitcases up and down. Beds were okay, and they dis provide water and free wifi.

Few Japanese resto just 3 blocks away and to get to the Bui Vien area just 15 minutes walk or taxi for 3 dollars

On arrival informed the desk that I am vegetarian & every day I was able to sample Vietnamese cuisine without the meat. The chef replaced the meat with tofu and soya.

I was pleasantly surprised and congratulated the chef on her food at every opportunity.

Real Vietnam in District 3. Helpful staff. Secure spot. Clean relative to other 1/2/3 star hotels.

Bustling foodie neighborhood - street foods and beverages as well as small cafe's.

Breakfast served at LeBlanc is good, should you choose that option. They will provide vegetarian if you request it.

Plenty of honest pharmacies, local hair and nail services and spas on the surrounding streets and inside the market.

Excellent room value for the price.

Recommend using Grab Taxi or motorbike until you learn the neighborhood. Walkable to all tourist spots if you can handle the art of crossing busy Vietnam streets which can be chaotic during rush hours.

The hotel is down a small alley behind Family Mart.

No elevator - Be aware there are stairs if you have disabilities.

Great value family run hotel

A great value family run hotel, in a part of Ho Chi Minh City that has all hustle and bustle of old Saigon. Our room was comfortable, with A/C, great bed, the en-suite bathroom was great, with complementary soaps and gels etc
We had breakfast included in our price, with a choice of Fried eggs, toast and coffee or a local breakfast, noodles with meat and fresh veg in a soup, this was amazing!
There is no lift in this place, so beware if you’ve over packed. We used the laundry service which was returned on the day it was put in. At 50k dong or £1.25 per kilo, there’s no need to pack washing!
The location is not on the main road, it’s down a quiet alley, which does cut down the constant city noise, but it’s around the corner from a convenience store.
We used grab taxis to get about, it worked out at £1.00 for a ride into the center of town.
I will use this hotel again for a short stay, for longer stays you may want a place with a pool, but at 4 time the price!

The hotel is tucked away on a side street. Very nice owners and accommodation. The older auntie checked is in after midnight was kind and used Google translate to check us in. The rooms were nice and we check the middle door unlocked. There is laundry (washer only) on the top floor but you can hang your clothes out to dry. It can get a little noisy in the morning with the locals opening up their stalls but not an issue unless you are very light sleeper. Easy to get around town with Grab. Would recommend.

Great relative value in its price range. Clean rooms, great helpful hosts. Be mindful there is no elevator when you book. The neighborhood is local with a vast traditional market across the street. Kinetic streets, lots of energy. Not designer stores here though you can find fairly upscale shopping within walking distance. Literally hundreds of food choices within 300 meters. Not a tourist neighborhood, you will see how the Vietnamese people work hard and live in this amazing city. Close enough by walking, bus or taxi to District 1 tourist attractions. You appreciate LeBlanc magnitudes more after staying in other comparably priced lodging in VN / SE Asia. One of the best.

Our stay was amazing. The staff made us feel welcome, there were no communication issues (we used Google Translate) and the traditional Vietnamese breakfasts were delicious. I knew about the alley before we arrived, it didn't bother me, the stairs at the hotel were horrible. We did notice when we arrived home that we lost some weight so I guess the stairs were a blessing.

A little off the beaten track, but close enough for us to walk to District 1 attractions, which suited us fine. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable and worked well. There is a mini market just steps away and many street vendors close by. Wifi could have been more consistent, but otherwise happy with our choice and can recommend for those who are OK being a couple of kms from the main attractions.

Grab from airport is about 162k including fees. Hotel a few steps down an alley which cars cannot enter. You will be dropped off on Nguyễn Đình Chiểu street just after Pharmacity (pharmacy).
Clean rooms. No hand towels.
The room we were in had Kettle, coffee/tea, fridge, TV, hairdryer, iron and board, safe. No blockout curtains in our room.
The hotel is across two buildings.
Daily housekeeping, however our friends room was cleaned but not ours. Housekeeper said she opened our room but it didn’t require cleaning. Nothing was replenished.
Friendly reception. They will set up a passcode for the door so you can enter the building if it’s locked. East to follow.
Housekeeper not so friendly.
Location is excellent in district 3.
Across the street is local Vuon Chuoi Market. Prices were not inflated. We purchased food, durian 65k per kg. Adidas Yeezy slides 140k, mens sports shorts 100k.

Nguyễn Thượng Hiền street has lots of restaurants and stalls.

Another small wet market off Nguyễn Đình Chiểu street.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and would stay again. It was very clean and we really liked their food for breakfast (their Vietnamese Pho is great). It is located in D3, but close to D1. So, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see (markets, walking streets, and war museum). There were many cheap tasty places to eat near by. The staff helped us setup a tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which we enjoyed. They also helped us by explaining where to go to take a bus to our next stop. Another guest told me that he had stayed in several hotels in this area and he stated that this was the best one. NOTE: The hotel does not have an elevator, so you may have to talk up 3 or 4 floors. We didn't mind it. ALSO NOTE: The hotel is located in an alley way too small for cars, so you will need to be dropped off at the front of the alley way (#418 - this number is displayed at the front of the allay way). It is only about a 60 meter walk down the alley to the hotel.

I have only great things to say about LeBlanc Saigon. I always felt welcome there, the staff treated me like family. The rooms are always upkept and the hotel is thoroughly clean. Don't be offput by the location, it is still close to the action of district one without being noisy!! I would always come back to this hotel when visiting HCMC and recommend it to any westerner nervous about particular areas. Phuc made us feel welcome and has outstanding knowledge of the city. He is always there to assist you with any questions. Check this place out forsure!!

Wonderful people, intriguing location

We really enjoyed the quirky location, up an alley, well away from the tourist areas. Hotel is surrounded by interesting markets, food stalls and restaurants to suit any level of food adventure. It's only a fun walk from the tourist areas - we walked to and fro, and enjoyed all we experienced on the way. Rooms were very clean, functional and comfortable, and the family who run it were absolutely delightful. Loved the Vietnamese breakfasts, but apparently there are western options too. It's a great place for the traveller who wants to see the real Saigon rather than live in a tourist bubble.

Wonderfull stay at the Scandinavian part of LeBlanc, everything modern and beautiful design, enough storage place. Bathroom is quite small but still comfortable. Cleanliness is very good. Breakfast well done and you can choose between vietnamese or continental option. Staff members were really nice and welcoming people. Away from the crowds but even walkable distance. Convenience stores and street food around hotel. I could use their washing machine for free. I would choose this hotel on my next visit to HCMC.

when checking in I was disappointed to see that the motel has no elevator and no male employee on site to assist with luggage so I had to carry up to the room on my own. The maid does clean the room well but the sink she never touched em for the 5 days that I was there. The foods was either too salty or no quality, early morning noise from bike vendor, motor bike. I would not return there ever again.

Nice hotel slightly outside the main tourist area

The hotel was perfectly fine and a good value. The room was comfortable. The people running the hotel were very nice and helpful. The Vietnamese breakfasts were good (need to order them the day before). The location was pretty central and it was very easy to get a cab to whereever we wanted to go. The surrounding streets are pretty crazy with respect to the motorbike traffic, but the hotel itself is up a small alley and was quiet at night. We liked that the hotel was out of the main tourist area, meaning that the street food and local eating places were authentic and inexpensive.

As a solo, female traveler, I quite enjoyed this hotel. The room is simple, clean, the showers are hot and it is exceptionally quiet at night. The hotel is down a small alley in district 3 which is walking distance to the war remnants museum, a movie theater, the market, and other places you would want to visit. As a 45-year-old female, I am definitely pass the party scene so, I liked the fact that I could walk to District one and once I was finished with it, I could leave! The staff are all very friendly at the hotel and are enjoying interacting and speaking English with the guests. If there were any negatives, it would be lack of small tables to either side of the bed. I had to put my glasses, book, water bottle on the floor and use my flashlight to navigate the room once the lights were out, as there are no bedside lights. Also, I was given a three in one coffee on the first day which was not replaced for the rest of my stay, nor was the coffee cup washed or replaced. However, my free bottle of water was replaced daily and the bed was always made. Not deal breakers but just little things that could be improved. I would say here again and recommend it as a great place to stay.

The 5/5 rating for staff goes to the friendly ones at the reception, especially to Alex and the young Thai man. They make you feel like you are among friends. Whoever weighs the laundry deserves a 0/5 rating though; you only get cheated for $1 or $2, but it still doesn't feel good. (Or do they also weigh the basket they provide you?) All the rest was great. Breakfast is tasty and filling.

For people who enjoy walking, the sights can be reached on foot. And there are plenty of places to eat.

The hotel is great for the price range - super new, clean, modern, comfortable. Good bedding. Good attentive service. Nice breakfast - I liked the Vietnamese options best. If you ask, the hotel provides good info on getting around etc. the area is less touristy than district 1 or backpacker zone. There's a street with good local dining options like noodles nearby, and a main road nearby with various international dining. You can walk to zone 1 pretty easily (10 - 15 mins to centre) or you can get there by moto (5 mins) or take a taxi cab. The hotel is still quite close to a lot of the tourist attractions. I liked staying in this area actually, as there was no tourist hustle and it seemed safer.

The staff at the hotel are very nice and very helpful. I was always welcomed with a smile and a very polite query about my day. The room is fine. The room is not fancy, cluttered or uncomfortable. The bed was hard but comfortable. There's a small desk, fridge, TV, and wardrobe to help fill the space. The bathroom is typical Asian, with the shower, stool and sink all in one small space. My only complaint is the air conditioning for the room. The air conditioning unit is typical for Asia but it's location made it very inadequate for the space. The unit was located in the corner and blew toward the opposite wall. The direction did not span the room but only covered one end, along the wall with the windows. There was no ceiling fan or any other type of fan to help distribute the air throughout the room. Consequently, the room could get quite uncomfortable. The hotel is located off the street down, by Western standards, an alley. Going down the alley to the hotel is not shady or the least bit uncomfortable. There are several street vendors selling fresh produce and street street food in the immediate area. A short walk around the corner from the hotel is a Family Mart convenience store and a Dunkin Donuts. In almost any direction from the hotel you can find food and a variety of local shops.

Busy streets and marketplace alleys nearby, Saigon street culture at its best. Plus bike jams and dirty air, some stores not so far. Hotel staff was kind but not much English is spoken. On asking them (in English AND Vietnamese) to clean a clogged bathroom drain they failed to do that in the next 2 days, which is a shame. Breakfast was good, can opt for local or western food.

Simple hotel in the city

This hotel appeared to be run by a family and they were friendly and courteous, helpful. While in a busy area the hotel is behind in an alley so is quiet. The aircon ran well and so did the wifi. The bathroom is somewhat frustrating in that the shower is simply a shower faucet attached to the wall, so everything in the bathroom becomes wet when used. In my 5 day stay my room was only cleaned on the second day (with the exception of fresh towels & water) and so this would be the main let down as by the end it was filthy. Security is good as there is always a staff (family?) member in reception. Also, laundry facilities are provided free including washing powder which is handy. Breakfast consists of exactly the same thing each day; 1 egg (cooked how you request), slices of white toast, butter and jam/peanut butter, a sausage of unknown composition and a glass of juice. There are many options for a quick bite nearby, including a Dunkin Doughnuts literally next door. The staff will go out of their way to help you with typical traveler requests e.g. acquiring a SIM card etc.

great staff!

We really enjoyed our stay at LeBlanc. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If I had to complain, I'd say the fan was loud but necessary, and one of the locks on the door didn't work (the other did, so it wasn't an issue). But we loved the people and it was a decent location to get cheap cabs anywhere, and walking distance to some shopping and restaurants.

Nice & Clean budget hotel in city center

This was my second stay and I stayed for a week in the hotel and it was great experience again, the hotel is located in an alley on main road. Don't worry though, this is not too deep in the alley, the alley have other shops also and is well lit and secure and it is easy to get to the hotel, hotel is very clean and nice. Staff is very helpful and go out of their way to help you with everything. They can help you find almost everything you want to see or buy at right price.

Rooms are very clean and have a mini refrigerator and clothes closet with a mini safe and a reading table and chair.
Bathroom was clean and had hot water and they provide two towels and two bottles of mineral water plus coffee everyday. Bed was large enough for two persons and bed-sheets and blankets were clean, rooms are comfy and not very small compared to other budget hotels. They have a universal electric adapter in all rooms so you don't have to worry about different plugs to charge your laptop or phone.
Oh and I forgot, they also provide coffee maker in all rooms.
I would strongly recommend this hotel to any traveler who wants a nice stay on right price. Cramped stairs are the only negative thing that I can think about LeBlanc.

great little guest house

Great small hotel, super friendly staff, close to little shops and food vendors. good breakfast made to order, nice laundry facility, good free internet. The owner himself provided the transport to the airport for a small fee. Entrance is a little hard to find, down an alley, but pretty normal for the area. As a mature female solo traveler, I felt quite at ease in this location. No elevator but the nice staff carried my heavy bags up for me. Will stay here again next time I visit Vietnam.

Friendly, comfortable, clean hotel

My partner and I spent three nights here earlier this week. The hotel was a 10 minute taxi drive from the airport, located in district 3. The service was excellent: the owner welcomed us when we arrived, the breakfasts were lovely and the man who lived in was extremely helpful, booking taxis and excursions for us. The room and en-suite were clean and well-presented. The motorbikes and passing sellers were quite loud but this is Ho Chi Minh City! I would definitely recommend this hotel - great value for money.

Brilliant Rooms and Staff

Perfect location for exploring Saigon. The staff are brilliant and helped us no end with organising the rental of a bike and getting around. Rooms are clean and comfy. Excellent considering the price.

Convenient location to explore hcmc. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. The only negative was that our room had a connecting door to another room, which let in noise and light from the other room.

Good value for the money

The satff is realy friendly, but they don't speak neither english or french unfortunatly, so the communication is a bit difficult. The hotel is not in the tourist area. You can find a lot of steet food and shop nearby but no tourist, and no one can speak other language than vietnamese... So if it's your first trip to vietnam may be it will be better for you to stay in district 1. If it's not your first time, this hotel can be very good. We take a city tour with the hotel, it's too expensive for what they offer, go by yourself, you will enjoy more.

the hotel is located behind the gas station and needed to go through the narrow streets to find.
accommodation is clean and comfortable.
the building doesn’t have an elevator. young male staff is fluent english speaker and kind.
the lady receptionist during night is not able to speak english but possible to communicate by using apps.
around the hotel, there are many restaurants and food shops for local people and they’re soooo affordable. better to try sandwiches
