Don’t get fooled by outside appearance of the building. Not welcoming. But once you get to the third floor you will be nicely suprised. Rooms are very clean, newly renovated and with taste. Highly recommended

Hotel was great albeit was a little surprised they had no toilets around reception. The location was questionable as the shopping centre is effectively shut and the only operating business is the hotel itself. Entering via a back door also didn’t deliver on that luxury feeling we were expecting. Staff was very friendly and delighted they allowed an early check in

Outside the property is run down with lots of graffiti. The room was large and the bathroom was really nice but bedroom carpet was old shag. The front and lobby was closed and had to use the service elevator through the back grimy part of hotel. For the premium price it was not worth it.

Location of property excellent- restaurants, shops etc walking distance to many things.

Only down side - located in a shopping centre that is closed and deserted. The external ambience is not appealing.

Room average. Old building. Lacking signage. Entrance difficult to navigate. Lift malfunctioning and stairwell inaccessible. Smashed glass front door. Some machinery/aircon or generator made loud continuous noise from 11.00 pm until 5.00 am. outside my room. Windows inaccessible, were high up on wall and partially opened enabling sound unrestricted. Unable to complain until morning when leaving having slept very little. One clerk pleaded ignorance and prevented her colleague from speaking further when she commented \"I know what that is\". Paid by cash on arrival , receipt not forthcoming and had to ask before leaving for a tax invoice receipt. Really does not live up to its image online. Would not recommend to anyone.

The area is prime. But the property was located in an abandoned shopping mall. Felt quite unsafe at night. The hotel also didn't have extra pillows, towels or blanket. Not a pleasant start for a 4 star.

What an experience! Highlighted pros and cons.

The neighbourhood is not like any other - my wife was reluctant to get out of the taxi. Having said, nothing happened to us or any of bringings. This certainly is not a 4-star hotel, may be 2.

On the ground floor there is a Shop. First and second floors have closed down shops. Third floor occupies this hotel and reception shared by another hotel which is on other side of the floor. No uniform for reception staff, just in casual clothes. But they were friendly and helpful and helped when asked.

There was a fire alarm, by mistake. Still I was allowed to go in lift since stairs are blocked off by tape since you can access the shut down shops. I asked what to do in case of real fire and if ok to take stairs. Was told not to worry, there won’t be any fires! Didn’t get the room as in booking. Very small windows bit high up without being able to see outside, like in a prison.

Came in August and the A/C is not enough for room. At 18C displayed but doesn’t work for that temperature. Asked for an extra pillow but didn’t have.

But, Hotel is in a very convenient location. Once out, you are in the centre of Split in a minute. We stayed for 4 nights with 2 children and once get used to it, you are OK. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy. But, won’t be staying again, that’s for sure.

Interesting location in a re-purposed department store. Wish we knew because we walked right by the location when looking for it. Rooms were very nice, beds were comfortable. No \"mini-bar\" as indicated and room fridge was warm upon arrival but did work after a few hours. Seems a bit over-priced for what it is but can appreciate that it's the rate they are able to get these days

Do NOT stay here. Our room smelled like dead bodies and sour yogurt, and there were massive black mold patches in the ceiling corners. Do not let the nice photos and good location fool you. When asked to be moved to another less stinky/moldy room, we were given a can of air freshener :(

Unique hotel (top floor of a disused shopping centre), in a fantastic location just 50m from Split’s Old Town.
Staff were professional and friendly, room was excellent - large with very comfortable bed and big bathroom. A great place to stay for a few days when exploring Split.

Lovely hotel - highly recommend

The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Very fresh and really lovely receptionist. Great location and fantastic price. Highly recommend. The only downside is that the breakfast room is very small (around 6 tables in total) and there is not much selection (mainly cold foods), however as the hotel is so close to restaurants it’s not too much of an issue. If they improved the breakfast this hotel would be perfect.

The Room was clean, in a great location, safe, well equipped and reasonably spacious. However, its not what it seems to be. Its not in a Hotel so there are no hotel related services. The staff are not Hotel trained so dont expect that. The services that we thought were offered, including roof terrace, and food and drink, or actually a Suite as opposed to a Room, are not as offered. Covid seems to have put paid to anything and everything except for the room itself. Which is understandable, but please update your offer to reflect the current truth. Even wifi failed for a day. On arrival, the safe didnt work, the windows were dirty as was some bedlinen. The bedlinen itself is paper thin as are the pillows.
Having said that, the room is very clean, reasonably spacious, is very well soundproofed, and in a great location for e erything Split Centre has to offer. But in no way is any of the experience or facilities, luxurious.

Acceptable Place to Crash but not Elegant

Overall a fine stay though we had some issues throughout. The photos really give a boutique and elegant vibe when in reality the building the hotel is in and the paint schemes, entrance, etc... All leave a lot to be desired.

The hotel is located inside of a half-empty mall and the main access is through the back service door and elevator. It feels a bit sad and the rooftop cafe is closed as well making the place really just a room.

Our room was fine but the mattress and bedding was really not good or comfortable though everything was very clean!

The last weird thing was that three times in two days we had people enter our room without even knocking first! We were told that the first two times was the cleaner but she never stated housekeeping or tried knocking. The third was one of the employees we'd talked to before and he didn't knock either. We never felt unsafe but never in any hotel stay have I experienced something like this which was very odd and felt extremely off and weird. Why wouldn't anyone even knock first?? All three times they just said \"oh, and closed the door\" not even needing anything from us..

Anyways, for the price, I suppose the hotel is fine if you need a clean place to stay in a good area but that being said, for not much more money you can have a very nice luxury hotel in Split with included breakfast, a much nicer atmosphere, and better security.

The stay was very bad, no one at reception for over an hour on arrival. Note on desk said back in 5 minutes with a number to call if assistance needed. I called it rang to the empty reception desk. No towels in the room and the reception argued with me before looking. The safe in the room was unusable. Worst part, I went for breakfast on last day. I had a late checkout as a gold member reward. I verified that before going. Parking was a 15 minute walk, I took my suitcase to the car and planned on getting the rest at check out. When I returned only 15 minutes past normal check out they had already come into my room. It was not cleaned but my belongings were gone. I dug through the trash and found my cosmetics and electric tooth brush as well as the opened food in the fridge. However the bag of souvenirs, my battery charger, tour books and all unopened food were gone. The receptionist who that morning I had a long conversation in english with, suddenly spoke no english, the cleaners were no where around.

But, the room was very pretty...

We booked this place because it stated that they'd provide a parking space, which was a false statement. They do tell you where you could park, but it is a public parking space somewhere in town and you need to be lucky to find one which wouldn't charge for the entire day AND night (6 Kunas per hour). The room was clean, but you need to close the curtains so the sun won't shine into your room, otherwise it is way too hot inside, even with the A/C on. And don't get me started on the bathroom temperature, it feels like you walk into an oven since the air of the A/C doesn't reach the room and you can't open any windows. I can't tell if we were just unlucky with the room, but from our experience, I wouldn't recommend this accommodation. The only positive things about this place are the location (walking distance to the town's center) and the friendly staff.

Exceptional rooms. Luxury with carpet flooring, I love it. Amazing view of city and mountains. Perfect location, heart of the old town city, everything at your door steps. Taxis and public transportation downstairs. Service excellent and reception staff beyond great. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Split.

Quirky hotel, makes good use of what would otherwise be empty shopping centre space, right beside the old town. Nice rooms, good location.
Out of hours access when the shops are closed is via a service yard to the rear of the building, bit strange but not unsafe.
Our room faced the sun so it was like a sauna, small AC unit couldn't cope, and this was in October!

Room good as expected but it was above a dept store so access was through goods yard on Sundays and between 9pm and 9am. Also the adjacent cinema had become a nightclub which went on until 6am on 2 of the nights we were there. They could not change our rooms or give any refund but we did reach a compromise giving us breakfast for the rest of our stay at a hotel 10 minute walk away. On the final night the electricity circuits kept blowing making it sound as if we were under seige. It was the result of a thinderstorm but was very unnerving. Advice anyone booking this property to check Central Nightclub gigs if the bass reverberations would disturb them.

We arrived and I couldn’t wait to take a shower after our long flight. I got in the shower and noticed a lot of hair all over the shower wall. It was gross. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Location was great and the rooftop was a nice benefit with views of the city and water (I wish the front desk would have mentioned it to us because we didn’t find out about it until the last night) The room was a nice size. The beds were hard and they only gave us one pillow each (2 total). They didn’t provide washcloths which would have been nice. Overall I would rate this hotel 3/5 stars.

First of all the entrance on sundays to this property down an alley into a loading bay door also midweek before 9.00am and after 9.00pm the same never have we come accross a supposidly 4 star property with this , and thats not advertised on your webbsite only a picture of the stores opening hours that does not explain this entry an absolute disgrace ; our room as i told the staff was a like a prison cell no fresh air , no window opened for the week the bit of natural light from the small pains of glass up just below the ceilng was not enough to give enough daylight and when we looked out of the window all we could see was the roof slates and a bit of a sky line , i wonder do expedia actually inspect the properties before you sell them to unsuspecting guests for holidays also we had to have airconditioning on 24 hours a day to keep our room cool which meant the constant noise at night because of the lack of fresh air was nightmare to sleep in so for unsuspecting people booking this property for which should be an enjoyable experience stay away from room 308 and make sure you check what room you are getting on booking or your holiday will be destroyed .

Top spot in the hearth of the old town!

Although we haven't spend much time in Split and in the rooms, our experience was definitely positive! Rooms - although weirdly located on top of a sopping centre, is a top spot for sightseeing city, being located 5 minutes waking from the promenade and in the hearth of the old city. Recommended!

The opposite of Luxury!!

Elevator out of order, had to lug bags up 5 floors. No bell boys upon arrival or departure. Had to be left off a block and a half from the hotel entrance and drag our bags over the streets to its mall entrance. How can they stay in business??

Once you get used to its quirky location

The unique arrangement of the hotel ( on the 5th floor of a department store)meant we missed it and went next door to its sister establishment (stupid G##**e Map!). The rooms are spacious and well furnished even if too modern for my old taste. The hotel is well located, only minutes walk to the old town. No complaints.

Excellent location close to Diocletian Palace, restaurants and ferries. The Prima Luce have excellent staff who are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are big and very clean with unusual decor.It's above shops in a rather unattractive building which is locked after 9pm afterwhich you use the back entrance. Unusually for European hotels, it supplies a kettle with tea and coffee.

My friend and I only had one night at this amazing hotel. We had an airport transfer organised which was excellent seeing we arrived late at night. Our room was modern,spacious and luxurious. They gave us directions how to get to where we had to meet our tour the next morning. Very friendly, professional and helpful. Could not fault this place. Would definitely stay here again.

First class hotel on top floor of Hotel !

This was an unexpected JEWEL! This is a newly renovated top floor of a mall. Yes- you get to take either the escalator or mall through the small mall to get to your room! The rooms were crazy modern- and so fun! The rooms had everything we needed and more. Plenty of room- a refrigerator- robes - slippers- safe- bathroom- walk in shower - sitting chair - desk / tables. The staff were BEYOND helpful to us. They really cared whether we were having a good time in their city. The location was within 5 minute walk of everything we wanted to see in beautiful Split. Grocery store within 5 min walk - and tons and tons of great restaurant choices. After hours entrance in the back of parking garage when mall was closed. Once we were shown / told - it was not a problem. I know they want to make this entrance a bit “nicer”- but it was fine ! Would highly recommmend!

Great location. Only a 5 minute walk to the Diocletian Palace. Room is new and modern. It is located on the 3rd floor of a department store so was confused at first when trying to find it. Reception area is simple but you’re not spending time there. Wifi works great. Parking is close, about a 5-7 minute walk. Note that the parking area we parked in is not the same as the hotel’s recommendation. The hotel offered a slightly cheaper spot but much further and we decided to pay a little bit more based on proximity.

Clean modern spacious room with great staff

This is a small hotel on the 5th floor of a commercial building in the heart of old town. Location is excellent. The entrance is not too fancy and if you arrive at night it may be hard to locate as you have to find a side entrance. But the rooms are very modern and everything works well. The AC is cold and on even when one takes the key card out of the slot. The showers have great pressure. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The waterfront is 5 min walk and all the great shops and restarants are right outside. Room is spacious and has closet, fridge, bathrobes, towels, dryer, free water and free wifi.

This is a bare bones hotel with minimum facilities. Beds are hard, blanket is thin, not much storage place for clothes and the toiletries are minimal to none; no soaps. Shower water is deliberately set to luke-warm as the tap water is fine. Parking is non-existent and have to use external garage and pay. Little more effort in above can help make experience better - no idea why they are so stingy with products and hot water. Gal in front desk was very helpful in giving perfect advice for Plitvice - so thanks to that

Clean room, friendly staff, but lacking in simple things: only two, smallish pillows provided per room. We asked for extra pillows and were told they were not available. Bed was not firm and lacked proper support. Bathroom only had shampoo dispenser. No conditioner or body lotion. Some rooms do not have black out curtains - which is problematic when the room faces east and you're looking to sleep in.

Otherwise, this is a good location and close to everything.

Great service, awesome room, nice pool area and so close to the beach clubs and public beaches. Perfect location from the pier and all the night life. Loved it!

Only issue was that our room was just above “ground level” - so not much natural light. We had assumed that our deluxe balcony room would be higher up since it had a balcony, but this wasn’t the case.

Very modern! Right in the middle of the City Centre and you can walk anywhere. Clean room, huge bathroom and room, comfortable bed and great customer service from staff. The location is on top of a department store but you would never guess. Recommended stay as you’ll never use a taxi or Uber. Many restaurants just a few seconds walk away and the night light on the strip is amazing! Walk through hidden, narrow streets and you’ll be surprised with what you find and where it leads you. 30minutes walk uphill from the hotel if you like a good hike and you’ll be at the view point to see the whole of Split. Really worth it! We did an excursion everyday so we were only at the hotel to sleep and get clean after excursions. You should definitely do the zip line as this was the highlight of our trip. You’ll never see such beautiful scenery and the adrenaline rush. Krka waterfalls was a beauty! Make sure you take a dip. Couldn’t rate this hotel enough. Will definitely be staying here again when we do come back. It’s safe no matter what time of day.

A Really Wonderful, Luxury and Boutique Stay

The moment we checked in, we know this boutique accommodation has exceeded our high expectations. I have stayed in many international 5-star hotel and this is just that.

It is unlike any ordinary hotel you would expect as it is actually located within a departmental store. So, when the stores are open, you can use the store elevator to access your room but after hours, you go by the side door and use another elevator. Location is central to the old city charm, the sea promenade and the transportation hub. Super clean, super convenient and all high praises for the owners and receptionists for managing the rooms. Thank you for a memorable stay and vacation.

The staff was excellent going out of their way to accommodate us even to the point of walking us to a restaurant when we told them we couldn't find it on the map. Who does that? Well they did. The room was very clean and they were so helpful. The only thing they could improve on is to have more shelves in the bathroom, although large enough they need some hooks to hang your robes on that they are kind enough to provide.

First visit to Split and it was perfect

Picked the Prima Luce for a last minute short break away and was not disappointed. It was easy to find, the reception staff were very helpful and the room was exactly as shown on the site. It was a great location, two minute walk to bars, restaurants and shops. Was perfect for us as we like to just wander around then pop back to the room then pop out again. Split was a very interesting and pretty city. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Spacious rooms in a great location.

The location is perfect. Just steps outside the Diocletian's Palace. The rooms are very spacious with a great large bathroom which is a luxury in Croatia and surrounding countries. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the mattresses were extremely firm and I myself usually prefer a firm mattress. These were hard. Also the windows on the floor we were on are small but the spacious room made up for that.

We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. The room was spacious and decorated in a modern, elegant way. We loved the central location, easy to walk to everything within the palace walls. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the view from our room. We would definitely stay again.

A modern hotel.

Bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a big chair in the room which supported your back. However, there was no dressing table for ladies. The trash can in the bathroom was so small. They should have 1 more waste basket in the room. Free water for drinking was a plus (we did not have to go out to buy drinking water! Good location, near old town & Dioletian palace & the Riva & of course many good restaurants. They need to improve the lighting in the hall way before we reach our door though. I tripped & fell because the light did not turn on fast enough ( the hallway was not even), so watch your steps. Receptionists all were very nice and helpful. My room had a good view from the window.

Fantastic hotel and staff!

This new hotel is located just outside of the old city walls, and is walkable from the ferry/bus terminal. Great location, very large, clean and comfortable room and most notable was the hotel staff. They are all to be commended for their hospitality, knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was great. Highly recommended!

Fantastic hotel at a great location!

A really nicely finished hotel that is beautiful. The location is great and the staff were really friendly and acommodating with very good English. Tomaslav/Tom was really knowledgeable and helped plan out trips so we could do some of the more local activities too and get a real feel for the true Croatia. Highly recommend and would go back.
