Pleasant hotel.
The room advertised as a luxury double room is not the one you would get so upgrade to a suite if you want a balcony.
They also have some strange arrangements for the sauna, which is about 20 euro per visit extra, which is annoying as most reasonable hotels let you use the sauna when you wish at no extra cost.
The restaraunt is okay though. Staff are nice. Good comfortable bed, good shower and above adequate toileting.

Poor effort really.

The line for a drink at the bar was 20 people deep, so no wine for me last night. The bedroom was to hot, turned the A/C on and it was to loud so could not sleep. I could hear people walking around upstairs. Whilst the hotel can not be blamed for the rain hitting the windows, they could have the trees cut back to atop the branches hitting the windows in the wind.

I put my dirty clothes on the carpeted floor of the built-in wardrobe, only to find that they were soaking wet the next morning. Probably to do with the pipes in the wardrobe. The hotel did offer another room, which I declined. One lift was not working. Decor in the lobby on 5th floor was shabby. Service was average. Dinner was average and not cheap. Decor of the bedroom and bathroom was tired 1980's style. Location nice, parking good. 1km walk into town for an excellent choice of restaurants.

Room amenities are NIL ,no service ,bed was not tied up properly,washroom need big attention ,room need big attention .
Restaurant was perfect with lot of option ,they can do better by placing hot food in breakfast .
Reception is good ,no issue at all , but need to be more informative to guest who checkin specially day one when I got ,they did not bother to give me room to rest and was said checkin nothing before 2-3 o’clock because rooms were not ready ,I said I m willing to pay but no attention at all for request after my 15 hours of flight .

We stayed here while on a business trip, having sampled three of the room types over a week the best is the delux room, modern of a good size nice wet room bathroom. The comfort room we stayed in was rather tired but if you were looking for a value room its ok. We also used the restaurant nice quality food small portions for the price. The location is a 10 to 15 min walk to the town where there are lots of eateries. Bonus is free parking at the hotel for which may charge.

We stayed for one night as part of a cycle tour of Holland and Belgium. Plenty of space to park our bikes. The hotel was a short walk to the town centre. A good breakfast with plenty of choice set us up for the next stage of our tour.

The room was OK but with a strange configuration of furniture with 2 armchairs placed behind the bed.
There was a local event with loud music. This should have been notified at the time of booking in order to give guests the chance to stay elsewhere before confirming the reservation. This is incorrect towards guests who are hoping for peace and quiet.

Very well appointed hotel with large rooms

I received a nice surprise on arrival at the hotel when I was told I had a free upgrade to a suite. The room was very large and very clean. The bathroom was lovely with separate shower room and huge bath. The bed was very comfortable too. My only complaint was that I didn’t find the staff all that helpful. There was no tea, coffee, milk or sugar in the room so I called down to reception and was told I could go and get some ‘if I wanted some’ at the time I had only just got up and not dressed so I was disappointed with that. When I went down later I was told to go to the restaurant and get the items for myself! Not all that helpful. It’s a shame that the pool and Spa doesn’t open till 11am either but on the whole it’s a very nice hotel in a nice town.

Avoid 5th floor if you want a quiet room.

Hotel rooms are quite dilapidated, staining on furnture tops, walls in poor condition, TVs relatively dated. Taps not working well, window air vent not functional in my room. But biggest problem is the very noisy ventilation system. On the 5th floor of the old section it is impossible to sleep with the droning. On the rth floor some of the walls are literally shaking. Only place to stay in the old section is the 3rd floor which is relatively quiet. The staff are first class as is the restaurant and the area is very nice. I would recommend this hotel but NEVER stay on the 5th floor!

Was not a good place to be especially with children.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out my window and saw a large amount of nude swimmers down below, i was not told at all that this kind of behaveer was going on at this hotel.

I went to breakfast at 9:20 as it closes at 10am the food or lack of it was all dried out,people was complaining and so was into the waitress only to be told that, it closes at 10 so no more food will be layed out.

So I complained to reception who did nothing at all, they just said we will talk to the chef, but thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I ask for the managers number and called him several times but Mr De John does not answer.

Find another hotel with manners.

The hotel is one of the best I ever stayed in my life. The room is roomy in excellent condition, the personnel is very friendly and helpful. Since we are long sleepers we were showing up for the breakfast just before the service closes, but people were very kind and always asked us if we wanted to have any food before they cleared the food away.

Trip to Bergen op Zoom

Having just travelled for the best part of four weeks in Europe so far, i have stayed in hotels with friendlier staff and nicer rooms. Although the beds were very comfy. We weren't told that you get to use the spa facilities on Tuesdays for free. Yes we could've asked, but they were happily telling other guests that they could use it. So why not us?

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gestaltet. Der Wellnessbereich ist nur FKK... blöd wenn man sowas nicht mag. Man muss auch extra zahlen, wenn man rein möchte. Hatten leider kein Personal da was deutsch sprechen konnte. Beim Abendessen wurde mir von jungen Mitarbeiter gesagt das nichts frei wäre ..... als ich dann 10 min. Später nochmal nachfragte, hat uns eine nette Dame ein Tisch gegeben. An diesem Abend waren auch einige Tische frei die nicht einmal besetzt wurden, als wir da waren. Beim Check in wurde uns auch nicht erklärt wo und wann frühstück ist. Kenn ich so nicht von anderen Hotels.
Das Zimmer war sehr ordentliche und gemütlich gestaltet. Man hat auch nichts von anderen gehört.... Parkplatz ist kostenlos und direkt vor der Tür.

Er wordt geen rekening gehouden met opgegeven wensen, integendeel, men geeft je exact wat je niet vraagt.
Onvriendelijke receptionistes, veel geluidsoverlast van nabijgelegen weg, ramen isoleren niet. Kleine kamers, deed me eigenlijk wat denken aan een gevangeniscel. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar, enkel de gratis parking en McDonalds vlakbij was een meerwaarde.

Toen we aan kwamen was het erg druk en moesten we lang wachten. Na eindelijk onze kamers sleutels ontvangen te hebben zijn we onze kamers gaan bekijken. Hier bleek een van onze kamers totaal niet schoon gemaakt te zijn.
Vervolgens was er geen andere kamer beschikbaar als de invalide kamer. Geen probleem alleen was deze extreem stoffig, slecht verlicht en de badkamers was gewoon oud en slecht onderhouden. Toen we savonds gingen slapen was een van de bedden doorgezakt hier hier nogal rugpijn van gekregen. Al met al geen prettige ervaring en zou het hotel niet aanraden.

I stayed for my work in BOZ. Hotel has been renovated recently and thats a big plus. I stayed in room 308 and 502, both on the west side of the hotel. Overlooking the beach area and the nearby road. The beach is available by walking, just 5 minutes away. In the middle of the summer, so my window open. This gives a lot of noise from the nearby road 24 hours. On return from daywork I noticed that the bedroom was not always cleaned. Always something was forgotten by the cleaner.

Schoonmaak is teleurstellend. Ik had een vlekje in de dekens. Heb hier niets van gezegd in de veronderstelling dat ik de volgende dag wel schone lakens zou krijgen, maar dit was niet zo. Ook schoonmaak van andere plekken is niet voldoende te noemen. Ontbijt is wel goed. Elke dag hetzelfde, maar uitgebreid. Op loopafstand is het strand of het centrum. Gratis parkeren is ook erg fijn.

De aankomst was teleurstellend, de receptie is toch de plek waar de gast als eerste contact heeft met het hotel!
Al de keren dat we ze spraken waren ze afstandelijk en kil.
Zo anders was het personeel in het restaurant en de house cleaning, zo aardig.
Al met al het kan bij de receptie echt beter, vreemd dat alle medewerkers dat zo waren, vaak ligt dat niet aan de medewerkers, maar aan de leiding van de groep!
Nogmaals groot compliment voor de andere medewerkers, ze waren er echt voor de gasten.

niet voor herhaling eigenlijk

vindt de service minder dan vorige keren, ga naar dit hotel omdat ik daar iemand bezoek, die wonen practisch om de hoek, maar moest elke dag om meer handdoeken vragen, ook al lagen die op de grond. bij in en uit checken erg aardig. mis toch in de zomer wel een koelkastje. en de bar vond ik niet een goede services bieden.

Het uitzicht was mooi, we keken op het water, ver weg.Mensen waren erg behulpzaam, extra handdoeken om vaker te kunnen douchen of in bad. Vonden het niet erg schoon. Wat in deze hitte erg tegenvalt is dat er geen koelkastje in de kamer aanwezig was. De prijs vindt ik erg duur, als je geen welness gebruikt, want daar moet je zonder zwemkleding. Het ontbijt is een tegenvaller niet aan te raden

Het diner en ontbijt was heel goed.
Jammer dat de bediening was vergeten dat we twee dinervouchers hadden ingeleverd. We kregen eerst de rekening voor het totale diner.
Het is een Wellnesshotel, maar het voetenbad en twee whirlpools waren buiten gebruik.
Dat kan toch niet de bedoeling zijn.

Douche gel leeg aan het bad, Dit gemeld doch de dag erna nog steeds niet opgevuld. ‘S avonds in het hotel een slaatje besteld in het restaurant, opmerking gekregen van de kelner dat dit enkel bij de lunch kon besteld worden, als ik hem erop attent maakte dat dit wel degelijk op de avond menu stond, was de kelner ge-eriteerd. Wel leuke kamers doch een sigaretten geur waar te nemen.

Vatbaar voor herhaling onder \"normale\" condities.

Het was weliswaar een bijzonder weekend (herdenking Slag om de Schelde 75 jaar geleden) maar de prijs was Euro 194 p.p.p.n.ofwel bijna 2x de gebruikelijke. Ik heb geen probleem als daarmee het verblijf van de buitenlandse (Canadese) militaire gasten mede zou zijn bekostigd maar had dat dan graag als uitleg gehoord. De kamer was comfortabel maar kwam op een aantal details tekort terwijl voor die prijs toch e.e.a. aan extra's mag worden verwacht. De gebreken waren een weigerend kluisje, een bijna verstopte wastafel en een onvoldoende gereinigde fauteuil. De tekortkomingen waren een beperkt aantal tv zenders voor een hotel dat een internationale status pretendeert en verkeerd geplaatste lichtpunten waardoor lezen op de te verwachten plaatsen (fauteuils en bed) praktisch onmogelijk was. Tot slot mag op een als luxueus aangeprezen kamer bijzondere service worden verwacht zoals bv. schoenpoets materiaal. Overigens alle lof voor het restaurantpersoneel dat ondanks de drukte kundig en vriendelijk was.

Frühstück ist ok.
Die Lage auch.
definitiv nichts für Familien.

geen idee

de upgrade naar een mooie kamer, was een suite, want bij de boeking was door expedia een tweepersoonsbed gevaagd, maar had bijn jullie twee een persoonsbedden gevraagd, daar ik met mijn zoon van 24 jaar niet graag hetzelfde bed deel, kwam goed uit konden ze op de bank een bed opmaken, dit sliep natuurlijk wat minder, maar wel weer fijn dat we een deur dicht konden doen, wat voor mijn zoon rustiger was, maar heb beestjes dood moeten maken die op de grond liepen, dat was minder, maar kon niet meer naar een andere kamer, want die was er niet

Prijs kwaliteit not ok.

Kamer super basic, badkamer verouderd. Na een half uur wachten in restaurant nog geen kaart gekregen om diner te bestellen. Dan maar besteld wat van voor aangekondigd was. Basic wijn superduur.

Schönes Hotel. Der Service war teilweise extrem unfreundlich und Wartezeiten enorm lange. Das Frühstück ist ok aber für solch ein Hotel eher mau.

Poor and bad service

The hotel and the location is ok, but the service at this hotel is really bad. In the information folder in the room it says that the restaurant is open until 21.30 in the evening. I went down to the reception area at 21.10 in the evening, and asked for the restaurant, but was told that it closed at 21.00. I told them about the folder in the room saying that the restaurant should be open until 21.30, but I was clearly told that the kitchen closed at 21.00. I was told to go to the bar and ask them if they were stil serving any food. I got the same answer from the guy in the bar, not very helpful. I then went back again to the reception and told them that when it says 21.30 in the information folder, I expect it to be right. They told me that the informaiton folder was wrong (maybe time to update the information in all the 100 rooms..) Since the hotel is approximately 1km from the city centre it is a while finding other place to eat. I insisted them to check the kitchen and what they could make. After a while they came back with a burger. It should not be necessary to have discussions like this for a basic meal in the evening, when you trust the information they give in the folder in each room is correct.
An experience like this makes me choose another hotel the next time that I am in the area. Sorry!

Ranzig gammlig verwohnt von Dübellöchern bis kaputten Bodenfliesen bei dreckigem Duschkopf und tropfenden Wasserhahn - bei dem opulenten Preis als wellnesshotel extra für das Betreten des Wellnassbereiches zu kassieren ist schon frech

het ontbijt was goed .Maar het avond eten niet dat was minder goed
en jammer dat je niet de hele dag kon zwemmen . alleen tussen 9/00 uur en 11.00 uur met badpak
