I arrived at the hotel to be told by the receptionist that I wasn’t booked in for a stay on the 15th October, offered to rebook it for me, I produced a card that I had written out for myself showing telephone number booking reference etc.She still wouldn’t accept that it was already booked and paid for. After getting myself worked up I had to plug my iPad in and show her the original booking I had made.eventually she found the booking, NO APOLOGY, I then asked her if she could print off a document that I had to produce to allow me to enter England, every excuse in the book as why she couldn’t do it.try in the morning, the fella was very helpful and Printed it off, no questions asked. This is the second time I have had this experience from the receptionist. Unless her attitude changes I wouldn’t think of staying there again. I am 83yrs old and do not need the attitude from her. Apart from her the hotel was very acceptable.

Good enough hotel for passing by. Clean, very comfortable bed and just off the motorway. The area, although quiet, is complete isolated and there is nowhere to buy food or water nearby; and the hotel has two poor vending machines that only take coins. Parking is ok but limited, definitely not enough for all guests.

Ok stop off place. What’s annoying with these motel’s, is that they generally have an illuminated price sign outside and then you go in and that isn’t available for that evening. Therefore I went back into the car park and booked online, saved £13.

The rooms are what would you would expect, however it was disappointing that in the bathroom that wash basin hand gel and shower gel were empty. Big issue, in the time of coronavirus. Otherwise the room & staff are fine. One big benefit of this location is that there is a decent restaurant at the bottom of the hill as you drive in. Seems popular with locals too.

Comfortable, we’ll run and friendly.

We stayed as an overnight stop on our way south. What a pleasant surprise the Kyriad was. The staff were great and the breakfast, included in the very good price, had an extensive selection of hot and cold food. The room was small, but well designed with a very comfortable bed. As an “en route” stay the room was perfectly adequate. The buffet restaurant next door was closed the evening we stayed, but the reception directed us to what turned out to be an excellent choice option where the food was excellent and the price reasonable. Free, locked parking and free internet completed the package. The location is out of town, but just off the motorway, which we wanted. So, a really pleasant experience all round. There is a Kyriad in the centre of Brive as well but I have no idea what it or the town is like.

A Fight To Get What We Paid For

Finding the hotel was a challenge.
The receptionist (owner??) did not speak any English, gave us the wrong (smaller) room and insisted that we pay more to get what we already paid in advance for and then insisted we were not entitled to breakfast which we also paid in advance for.
On the whole the hotel is OLD. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are smaller. You may as well be in a travel trailer. Everything is dated. The towels are old and thin. Breakfast is basic and food is not properly stored (meat on unchilled plate on the counter)
Couldn’t wait to leave.

Hotel was close enough to centre of Brive to drive to. It was also close to main roads to continue journey North. The town/city of Brive was superb and I would recommend it for anyone to explore.

Basic and out of the way but clean and comfortable

The hotel placement is not ideal for a family unless you have a car and are willing to drive. The room was comfortable and clean. The beds were very comfortable and they have a super pillow that I would definitely like to try and buy myself. The food facilities were poor. We paid €10 each for a breakfast that was basically a choice between pain au chocolat, a bit of toast, cereals with warm milk and some chopped frankfurters that were so hard I couldn’t bite into them! We ended up driving to the local Carrefour and getting our own bowls. Cereals and milk (although there is no fridge to store anything cold.)

We decided to try the dinner one night but it turned out to be microwave meals for €9 and they forgot my son’s food.

There is a great restaurant next door, where we ate most nights; Beouf et Marré, which I would recommend. For anyone who wants to have a beer this is the only option otherwise you would need to walk miles to the nearest restaurants (which all seemed to be closed when we needed them!)

I am guessing this is a bit like a chain of Travelodge or similar.

Very clean and comfortable and would suit single travellers or people on a business trip etc.

Good location,

Very good location and easy to access direct from motorway. Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was very good and staff were efficient and helpful, but the member of staff on duty during the evening when we booked in was clearly frustrated and overworked as she found it too difficult to arrange an evening mean for my wife, stating she was alone and had people coming in she had to deal with.

A good stopover place en-route

We spent 2 nights here while sightseeing in the area. It was the best priced hotel among the 2-3 stars and we got our money's worth. The rooms were reasonably sized and clean; mattresses and linens for standard for a 2 star. However, we were generally ignored by the front-desk staff (not that we needed them but we had gotten used to being greeted by a friendly bonjour in other motels); towels that we requested took several hours and several reminders. The location is excellant for getting back on the highway but a bit difficult to find when leaving the highway - make sure you use one of the mapping sites. Overall, if you're looking for a overnight stop, this place is fine.

Good, simple \"stop-over\" hotel

This is a good place for an overnight stop over if you are traveling by car. It was very simple and had smaller sized rooms, but was clean, safe, quiet and comfortable. Although they did not speak English, the staff was friendly, helpful and willing to do some creative communication with someone who spoke very little French. The parking was free, secure and on the premises (unlike plenty of other French hotels). There was not much in the way of shops or businesses immediately (within quick walking distance) nearby other than a restaurant (average), but there was very easy on/off access to a nearby motorway. The hotel is on the outskirts of Brive-la-Gaillarde, not actually in the town. I used this as a stopover on my way to the nearby Dordogne River Valley and would do so again. The only drawback was the the reception desk doesn’t open until 7 am or so (on Sunday) - be sure you pay the night before and get your receipt if you plan to leave early.

Checkin tardif sur automate sans soucis. Personnel accueillant. Chambre double assez minimale, avec salle de bain dans la chambre sans porte (les wc sont à part heureusement). Pas de bouteille d’eau ou de mini bar dans la chambre mais présence d’un distributeur automatique dans le hall. Literie très confortable. Petit déjeuner varié mais les produits ne sont pas de grande qualité (fromage type gouda, saucisses peu goûteuses etc).

Wir kamen am Samstagabend um 21:10 Uhr vor einem verschlossenen Hotel an. Die einzige Möglichkeit zum Einchecken war ein Automat. Dort musste ich verschiedene Optionen auswählen und habe versehentlich die Option “Kindermenü” angeklickt, die sich nicht mehr löschen ließ. Dadurch musste ich ein Kindermenü bezahlen – ohne es zu benötigen.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein und dunkel. Die Dusche befand sich direkt im Raum, ohne jegliche Privatsphäre – besonders problematisch, wenn man mit anderen reist. Für einen Preis von über 90 Euro ist das Hotel deutlich überteuert. Ein angemessener Preis wäre höchstens 40 Euro pro Nacht

Cet hôtel mérite 5 étoiles. Très proche de la sortie d'autoroute, mais très calme, propreté impeccable accueil chaleureux décoration au Top, confort excellent, Juste, le décorateur des chambres n'a pas prévu un petit miroir pour le maquillage des dames. La glace teintée au dessus du lavabo ne permet pas de se voir assez pour le maquillage et la seule glace claire de la chambre se trouve au dessus du lit. Pas d'autre solution que de se maquiller à genou au milieu du lit. C'est dommage, et ce magnifique hôtel bien pensé mérite qu'on lui signale cet oubli tellement facile à rectifier.

Il manquait les serviettes de mains, habituelles ailleurs. Quand réclamées à l accueil, réponse \" ah si vous voulez nous pouvons vous les fournir mais ce n est plus systématique \".
Je trouve qu un drap de bain par personne un peu juste dans ce type d hôtel.
De même, pas de bouteille d eau ...

Chambre très petite, peinture écaillée sur les carreaux de la douche (déjà repeindre des carreaux dans une douche fallait oser...), Impossible de travailler sur le coin bureau car l'espace entre la table et le lit est minuscule on se sent mal une fois la chaise mise, chaleur insupportable dans la salle de bain du coup obligé de laisse tourner la clim toute la nuit (bonjour le ronron).
Étant commercial je n'ai pas pour habitude de partir extrêmement tard des hôtels où je loge et là surprise à mon arrivée on m'annonce que le petit déjeuner n'est servi qu'à partir de 7h30 ! Ça fait quand même tard quand les concurrents le font minimum une heure plus tôt !
Personnel très bien
Petite remarque spéciale période covid : malgré des affiches expliquant les mesures de précaution, j'ai été étonné que le petit déjeuner soit servi en buffet sans aucune surveillance du personnel (la personne étant seule ne peux pas tout gérer je sais), donc on compte sur le civisme de chacun, ce qui n'est pas forcément gagné ! Du coup je n'ai pas compris tout le questionnaire fait la veille a l'arrivée de savoir ce que je voulais pour le petit déjeuner qui laissait sous entendre qu'un plateau serait tout prêt a l'arrivée du client...
Personnellement je ne retournerai pas dans cet hôtel, j'ai largement préféré l'hôtel de la chaîne Brit hôtel dans la même ville (chambre limite deux fois plus grande)

1-La réservation Hotels.Com n'était pas enregistrée par l'hôtel, heureusement il restait des chambres.
2- Le prix facturé a été supérieur au prix confirmé par Hotels.Com

nous avons bien était accueilli, chambre correcte, mais petit déjeuner cher pour ce qu'il y avait, pas de jus d'orange, pas de charcuterie, d'oeuf et des croissant qui ne venaient pas de la boulangerie! de plus il y avait des asticots sur les pruneaux!!
