Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet présente l’essentiel, on aurait souhaité une note plus locale en proposition…

The entrance to the car park was not well illuminated or sign posted, both the bar and restaurants were closed (main reason we booked) having driven for 12 hours we expected room and board under 1 roof!!! Room was fine air con not working!!

All in all....great.

Overall this was very good. Friendly staff. Nice big bedroom. All very clean and tidy...although it could do with updating, especially the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean but tired...although well scrubbed. The breakfast was plentiful with fruit, cereals, pastries, meats, cheese etc
We didn't eat evening meal but it looked OK, but we went to old town Brive for a look around.
Overall excellent stay and especially considering the low cost.

The member of staff was nice enough but the hotel is very old and dated an old bath and no tea making facilities.
Luckily it was just a quick over night stop but i will not ever be returning.

Surpringly worth revisiting.

From the outside it seems disappointing, but we had a comfortable 6' bed, just like home and the dining room and menu made for a lovely evening. Very attentive restaurant staff.

Nice hotel in the middle of France

We are a French-Haitian family, with two kids, living abroad (Congo) and travelling a lot. In comparison to all the hotels we know, this one is just fantastic for a family. We were crossing France and stopped by to enjoy the music Festival of Brive la Gaillarde. The \"family rooms\" of the Teinchurier are actually a real two bedroom, with a king size bed in a room, and 3 single beds in the other. Nice towels, biscuits, mineral water for everyone. And nice and wonderful couple in charge of the hotel, with a nice buffet for breakfast.

Plain hotel updated some time ago

Plain, adequate accommodation.
French speaking reception staff who were slightly reticent but helpfully and speedily fulfilled the request I made for extra towels.
The hotel used to be sited amongst greenery (another review suggests it was built in the 1960s) but now stands to the side of a small industrial estate
We were allocated a spacious room for our bargain price which was quietly situated at the side of the hotel.
The room had been updated at some point and was clean but was old fashioned.
However the room did have good lighting, a desk area, spaces to sit and two stools which could accommodate a small open suitcase.
The bed was large (two zip together singles) and comfortable with crisp clean linen.
The bathroom was perfectly adequate though the entrance to the shower area was restricted.
Reasonably strength shower via tap system above small bath,
Bathroom plus points included the hairdryer and the little tubes of toothpaste (perfect for an overnight)
Two small bottles of water were supplied in the room.
We stayed in early January and the restaurant was disappointingly shut. This had been a deciding factor in our choice as we would be arriving late, tired and hungry and had not been noted on the hotel website.
Only other option for a meal was the café at the nearby Carrefour (needed us to cross traffic complex) or an easily accessible MacDonalds. So a Big Mac it was :-(
We left early the next morning to travel onward so didn't sample the breakfast.

Un séjour hors du temps dans un hôtel figé depuis les années 70. Je me suis laissé tenter par les bonnes notes des voyageurs mais j'ai eu l'impression d'être dans un musée plutôt que dans un hôtel. Allez-y si vous aimeriez voir comment nos parents voyageaient.

Llegando nos encontramos con el ascensor fuera de servicio y la recepcionista ni lo sabía, al darse cuenta viendo además de que estaba embarazada se marchó a su sitio y ni siquiera una disculpa, nos dieron una habitación en la segunda planta y claramente tuvimos que subir las maletas y todo andando.
Llegamos a la habitación y olía a viejo todo,el baño peor, la limpieza regular, la estructura decadente, las camas duras. No entiendo las 3 estrellas y la buena puntuación en este sitio.
