From the moment we checked in Rosie the concierge was very welcoming. She assigned Elise to give us a tour of the hotel and the spectacular upgrade to an oceanfront suite.
The hotel was built near the foundations of an 11th century Palazzo. My suite was a partial archaeological monument the master suite encompassed some of the original walls and the brick dome.
Everything you want is at hand with leather covered Espresso machines and hot water kettle!
Piero the porter was careful in bringing up the suitcases, up the stairs to the separate master’s suite.
The hotel was also exceptionally meticulous in receiving.my clothing purchases in Italy which were waiting at the Hotel for me.
Every morning the included buffet breakfast was spectacular. Starting with fresh seasonal berries and eggs of your choice. The Caruso version of an eggs Benedict was delicious. Prawn omelette with caviar was also excellent. Fresh squeezed juices were abundant. The view from the breakfast area of the Amalfi coast and the waterfront villages are unforgettable.
I followed breakast at 9 am with a 20 minute swim in the infinity pool. Swimming with view of parallel mountain tops or looking over the edge at the villages and the coast is unique. Marco the pool attendant was alway ready with a towel and a bottle of sparkling water (my preference) the pool water was 28 degrees Centigrade to 24 degrees when it was very windy. Very comfortable for lap swimming.

This hotel is literally and figuratively in a world of its own. It is truly amazing and absolutely breathtaking. Nothing compares.

It is a slice of heaven on earth.

We got married here in 2023 and experienced the best service in the business. Our wedding was a day to never forget thanks to the wonderful staff and venue.

We came back for our 1sr anniversary in 2024 and the hotel and staff did not disappoint. The service is very personal where the staff go above and beyond to ensure that guests wants and needs are not only met but are exceeded.

It is a unique hotel with exceptional views, the property and rooms are immaculate and extremely well kept. No detail is forgotten. The staff are the best in the business. A truly memorable experience every time.

We love the Caruso and look forward to returning in the future.

A Dream Vacation!

This is an outstanding hotel with fabulous customer service. The view is amazing. The food is delicious. It is everything you want in a hotel on the Amalfi Coast. We got a room upgrade, and that was more than we could have ever imagined or dreamed of. Highly recommend the lemon tour that the hotel arranges.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Caruso, A Belmond Hotel in Ravello. We were greeted by friendly and warmhearted staffs. We got free upgrade to a suite with balcony viewing of the sea and surrounded with purple wisterias. The suite was spacious and prepared the welcoming champagne and fresh fruits. The hotel had stunning views every corner and the service was impeccable. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the complementary sunset boating tour due to the weather.

A wonderful hotel

Our experience at Caruso was truly magical from the moment we set foot outside its doors. The porter was quick to greet us and all the staff were friendly, warm and welcoming. The check in process was smooth and easy with an orientation tour of the hotel provided which was incredibly helpful.

The views from across the hotel of the coast were breath-taking; something we enjoyed at breakfast, by the pool and most importantly from the comfort of our room.

The rooms were spotless and incredibly spacious - even its double rooms which is what we stayed in. The bed was comfortable and pillows perfect - they even had a pillow menu that allowed you to choose one of your liking to ensure a good nights sleep. Everything you could possibly need was provided in the room including a bag which you could use to put your things in to take to the pool.

The gardens were beautiful and tranquil space; pruned to perfection. The pool simply serene. The staff at the pool were friendly and attentive getting your towels and preparing the sun loungers promptly.

Breakfast was a smoothly run service with a range of options available from the buffet and the menu. The food was so good, I wish we had stayed long enough to be able to try them all. The staff were attentive and extremely helpful.

The staff were truly an asset to the hotel! A standard of service in hospitality that was truly exceptional and unrivalled. An experience we shall never forget. Looking forward to our next stay.

Heaven on earth

This hotel is so good that I didn’t want to leave a review because I want to keep it secret but honestly the staff and service were so kind and helpful and I have never been to a better pool. We had to leave early because my girl wasn’t feeling well and the staff was so helpful they even called us the next day to see how she was feeling. You can’t find this type of service in Europe it’s the best. Can’t wait to go back

The driver arranged by the hotel from airport was extremely courteous and well spoken. Our room was upgraded from a junior suite to suite (or something like that) but it smelled rather dank maybe because it was raining. The walls had cracks and brown marks which stood out because they were white. We purchased a room spray from the gift shop which helped but odor was throughout hotel. The worst part was the breakfast which was a buffet, but the attendant insisted on serving fruit, etc. and did not speak English. She gave me one piece of each of the four fruits after I asked for more than one piece because I don’t eat eggs, etc. I typically just want fruit. The pieces were 1-2 inches long. What a joke.

Absolutely loved my stay at Caruso Belmond! Staff were amazing throughout the visit and were extremely attentive, friendly and happy to help. The landscape at the hotel are gorgeous. Location is perfect in Amalfi if you’re looking for a quieter vibe (compared to Positano for example). I got a free room upgrade upon check in, which was very appreciated. The room itself was great, bedding was very comfortable! Their drink, wine and food menus were all really good too. I honestly cannot think of any flaws with this property. They’ve exceeded all of my expectations and definitely worth the premium pricing!

Amazing hotel property and service!

The hotel service and accommodations was amazing. They had a piano playing through dinner at night that made the experience even more wonderful. Belmond was also more convenient than other hotels bc the car service dropped us right at the front door vs other hotels having to walk up hill for 15 min (like Villa Cimbrone but also another beautiful property). Also easy to get to the town square for dining and shopping.

Amazing hotel and grounds-

The property is gorgeous and the grounds are exquisite. The staff were phenomenal. The town is so charming and nice. We got an ok room- it was the only room on top floor and said they gave us a “free upgrade” but it was a tiny room, it smelled like cedar, the bathroom was so tiny and dark.. when I put my hair in a ponytail and my hands would hit the ceiling. We had a great view being on the top of the hotel but had a roof point in the center of our balcony. If you get put in 401- demand to be changed!

Honeymoon at Belmond Carusi

We chose Belmond Caruso after a very long and detailed analysis of the hotels in the area. The other hotels we were comparing it with are Palazzo Avino, Monastero Santa Rosa and Villa Cimbrone.
Belmond was consistently rated above Monastero Santa Rosa and indeed we found has a much more practical location: It is in the middle of Ravello so you can literally step outside and be in shops or restaurants within minutes.
The second key factor is that this hotel has the most beautiful pool and pool view in the area. Palazzo Avino which is next door as a very poor pool situation in comparison.
The hotel offers a free shuttle to Amalfi which is very practical as Amalfi is the closest ferry station so is how one would go to Capri or Positano before or after this stay. Amalfi also has two michelin starred restaurants.
The hotel also offers a daily boat trip on the coast which lasts 2h: we enjoyed this and were able to go swimming. The captain showed us all the key highlights of the coast so this was a great tour.
The breakfast is served in the restaurants or room without additional charge which is not common. This is the best breakfast we have had in our lives, and you can order basically anything.
The restaurant of the hotel is a fine dining option for dinner, and definitely delicious.
The lunch option by the pool has organic healthy salads and incredible pizzas.
The Cocktail list is to die for.
But the big differentiator is the service which is absolutely incredible.

Perfection

As a seasoned traveller you rarely come across perfection but this is the standard I will hold all other hotel experiences up to.

My partner is an ex luxury hotel professional and she says the same. The polpette at dinner might have had a touch of too much tomato taste, but that’s the pettiness you need to have to find anything negative to say.

The service was excellent at every encounter with the staff, going above and beyond. Lunch by the infinity pool was the highlight among many many highlights.

Perfection in Ravello!

It's a hotel that you only ever dream of staying at !! The service is impeccable, the rooms unique and well appointed and the food in restaurant is delicious! Take advantage of the breakfast served in room... you will not be disappointed !! Ravello is a wonderful town to walk around in The pictures on the website are accurate...yes it's that beautiful!!
