Si pudiera le pondría 0 estrellas. Para empezar el aire acondicionado no funcionaba en la habitación que nos asignaron, que fue la habitación 1. Habían manchas de sangre como de mosquito por toda la habitación, paredes, techo, cortina, incluso la almohada. También estaba lleno de mosquitos que no dejaron dormir nada en la noche además del calor por la falta de aire acondicionado y no se podía abrir el balcón porque si no entraban los mosquitos, bajamos a pedir ayuda o cambio de habitación y no había nadie en recepción ni ningún trabajador. Al día siguiente no había ningún trabajador en recepción para dar la queja ni devolver la llave, la señora de limpieza fue la que ayudó con eso. Falta añadir que las toallas tenían manchas y se veían viejas. En conclusión es el peor hotel en el que me he hospedado y además súper caro. NO SE HOSPEDEN AHÍ.

Pictures on webpages are waaaaaay nicer than actual rooms. Lots of stains. Stains on walls, bed sheets, bed ect. Ac didnt work. Had to fix the patio door because the track was bent and wouldnt work. Chairs on balcony covered in bird crap. Hot tub in photos looks super nice. Hot tub and patio in real life was diiiiirty. Hair, bugs, garbage in the water. Honestly avaid paracas and this hotel all together. Tried to make a complaint but the front reception couldnt speak english at all.

Pay for a balcony

We paid for a seafront balcony and it was truly worth it. Amazing views over the sea and harbour and a lovely sunset. The room was adequate. The breakfast is freshly made scrambled egg, bread, coffee and juices.

Terrible hotel

On the website they've put nice pictures of the rooms, but when you're finally there it was disappointing. The curtains were dirty, the watertap was broken and the bed was to hard to sleep on. The only positive thing i could think of was that the view outside was nice.

A fairly basic hotel okay for a night or two whilst in Pacaras. Excellent location being right on the sea front and central to all restaurants and bars.

Clean but basic room, worth getting the sea view rooms with balcony. Had an issue getting hot water for the shower but was sorted out by one of the staff.

Allowed baggage storage.

Breakfast fairly basic, scrambled eggs, bread, butter & jam with tea/coffee and juice.

Service was terrible and many maintenance issues. There is a large block out of the shower wall, where you can see pipes and cockroaches enter. The portable air conditioner does not cool the room, mainly because the patio door can’t be shut all the way when it is secured (some genius put the bolt too far over). Asked three different people for coffee which none brought, while other groups around me were embed full breakfast. This property was $70.00. They have a chargeback incoming, as this property should not be allowed on Orbitz.

Support from all staff astounding. Muy amable. Moved me to the penthouse unit, even! I can't wait to go back in Nov/Dec (for kite boarding). Great restaurant. Beautifiul, colorful boats fill your view. You are directly on the malecon and maybe are 50' from the water's edge. Tho everyone was so hospitable, Manuel really had some great advice and took care of any needs.

Our reserved ocean view room had not been cleaned when we checked in so were moved to a different room without a view. There was a large hole (about a foot square) in the shower wall showing the pipes and open to the outside. Mosquitoes in the room. No access to WiFi.

This is a super budget hotel. The second I sat on the bed for the first time it broke and I ended up on the floor. No one came to fix it so we had to hand repair and prop up with bags. TV didn’t work k and the room was filthy. .

Room was very small, toilet stopped working in the middle of the night, hubby had to fix it himself, view was terrible, looking at the roof, curtains falling off the wall. There wasn't even enough room to open my suitcase. I think we paid close to $100 CAD and and was worth $40 most. It's more like a low quality hostel but priced like a hotel? Odd

The only aspect that was ok was the breakfast and the breakfast staff. The room was switched to one on the last floor, smelled like sewage, then chlorine, then sewage again, the room was not made. The excuse was that someone knocked on the door and no one answered. We were out in a tour came back twice. The walls full of mosquitoes’ pieces.
The bed super hard, glad to be going. Paracas itself is wonderful!. Rating is 1/8

Bamboo lodge is a very nice hotel. Nice clean rooms. Good bed.
The only problem for us was : there was a wedding next to the hotel. The music was so loud, till 3 o clock in the night. Also a truck was making a lot of noice at about 4 or 5 o clock. So the night was teririble.

Not as good as expected

The photos of the place are so cute, so we thought we were going to have a really nice time at this place. First of all, there is no wifi in the rooms and the beds are not comfy. There is also a hot tub on the top level, which sounded nice! That is until we went up there and saw that there were flies in the hot tub. It also says on Google that there are loaner kayaks. The front desk told us the only kayaks were the ones to rent on the beach. The place has a great location right off the beach, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Small but Usable

Lodging at Bamboo Lodge is experience you have to plan for. What I mean by "Plan For" is:
1. You have to inspect the room to make sure it was cleaned. Upon entering the room my wife inspected the bed only to find the sheets had not been changed. Some one who had brown hair sleep in the bed and left their hair.
2. The room is small. Look at the stock photo of the bed. There is only 14 inches between the foot of the bed and the wall. This is OK for a short stay.
3. $60 is a little high for this 2-Star hotel in a low cost part of Peru. If you are seen as a tourist you will be charged a higher price. Or should I should they attempted to charge you more. Having lived in Peru for years I know their ways.
4. Although it is advertise free WIFI, the WIFI is un-usable most of the time. It only worked between 4:30am and 6am.

Pros:
1. The bathroom was in good order and clean. As with most Peruvian bathrooms there is only a shower (no tub) and the hot water was plenty hot.
2. The view from the balcony of the beach is good.

Otherwise Bamboo Lodge is suitable for overnight stays.

We arrived at 6:00 in the afternoon to a room with no towels, no soap, and no toilet paper. After bringing these shortcomings to the front desk’s attention, they grabbed materials from another room and blamed the cleaning staff.

Great for the price we payed. The guy on reception organised our trips within about 10 minutes - marvellous. Near to all the little bars and restaurants. Lovely little breakfast - helps if you can speak Spanish. Near to bus terminal - 5 minute walk. Near to boat trip terminal - 2 minute walk . Read previous reviews and was a little dubious- but all was fine

A few small changes would make this hotel perfect!

This hotel is in a great spot, right on the boardwalk and there are 6 rooms that overlook the sea/harbour.

Staff: could be more friendly. They hardly said 2 words to us when we checked in.

Facilities: room was comfortable and clean. Very basic and no frills. WiFi does not work anywhere (there was actually no WiFi option to choose). There is air conditioning in the rooms but you have to pay $10 to use it. This charge should be noted in their hotel advertisement or included in the room rate. Breakfast is good and made to order in the attached restaurant.

If this hotel spent a little extra time on the smaller details (staff friendliness, water in room, soft towels, air conditioning included) it could be rated more like a 4-5 star hotel. The location and bones are there, just needs a bit of TLC.

Perfectly adequate, but need some attention.

Your have to start by realizing there are limited options in the area, and the really nice places are very pricey. So this hotel is overpriced in relation to what you normally see in the places we went in Peru. The staff were very nice and are trying very hard. But they are working in a small space and have some built-in limitations. I would make a couple of practical suggestions. Either install wall a/c or put screen on the doors. Leaving the door open at night to get cool air is an invitation to the insects. And these days you really have to have internet that is available from the rooms.

Only plus is the bay view

The hotel has a nice location with a bay view and staff is friendly but it's one of the filthiest hotels we have ever stayed in. When we got in, there were dozens of mosquitos in the shower area that we had to kill and hair around the toilet. Then, the biggest shock happened in the morning. The floor and bathroom sink (including our toiletries) were covered with thousand of insect wings. We have no idea where they came from, they were not there when we went to sleep. I'd not only avoid this hotel in the future but Paracas in general because of the putrid odor and uncleanliness.

Okay Hotel.

There is NO WIFI IN THE ROOMS (only in the lobby and downstairs restaurant).
Our room sliding window latch didn't work and could be opened easily. The sliding window isn't sealed so you can clearly hear the dogs barking and noises outside the window.
Our shower and sink drains were clogged and didn't drain out properly.

It was just a place to sleep so it did the job. The only good things were that the restaurant had decent food, the bed was comfortable enough and it is located right on the boardwalk (a good area).

Unfriendly staff and the worst beds

When we arrived, our room hadn’t been cleaned. There were hairs in the shower, sticky mess on the floor and no towels. The bed was as hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable. The only good thing about the hotel was breakfast and the cook was the friendliest staff member we encountered.

Hotel close to everything

The hotel is in the malecón walking distance to the pier and shops. Great location, small rooms, no AC and breakfast was good. At time of check in, it seems that staff was not ready with our servation. After a few minutes of going back and forth we managed get in our room. Then no towels, few minutes later we got damp ones. We made a mistake since we been traveling for a couple of weeks and runout of clean clothes. I ask if they could do our laundry, finally we got our laundry worst than the towels. By the time I got to Lima the following day I check and found out that I was missing two pair of jeans. Call the hotel and talk to the manager. I'm still waiting for his call back

Pretty good for the time and area

This is a good place right on the waterfront. Maybe a bit overpriced for low season, though. Internet sucks and almost no signal away from lobby area so they need to install boosters/relays. Staff is super helpful to every need. They can book your excursions for you and let you know what's going on. English is poor, but you can make do and enjoy the setting.

When we arrived the sheets on the bed were dirty and didn't look very well made. We told the guy on reception and he said it sometimes happens when people have had sun creams on. We asked for new sheets and he gave us a fresh set, which were better but still not totally clean. We slept in our sleeping bag liners.
He was good with organising trips to the Ballestas Islands.
Breakfast was good.

Rooms extremely hot if you leave door open lots of mosquitoes. Was not a pleasure able stay at all. We ended up leaving a day early even though they made us pay it was worth it to find another hotel to stay at. No sheets on of the beds as well.

This hotel was extremely noisy from the echoing hallways and stairs and the building works nearby. Did not get much sleep. The bathroom seemed to not be quite finished from renovation and on entry there was still old plastic bottles rubbish from previous guests.Bed linen also extremely worn and thin. Overall disappointing stay and not good value for the price.

This was an OK hotel. It's probably the best in Paracas; however I don't think it was good enough for the money they charge. Mainly this is due to the fact that there are no hotel services to speak of - no room service, no common area to relax etc. The wifi was dire and you could only access it by going into their on-site cafe. The breakfast was very good though. If you stay in Paracas then I guess I would reccomend it; however I think it does rest of its laurels thinking that because it has a good location over-looking the bay, then that's enough. For the price, I don't think it is and I think they need to up their game.

Central location in Paracas

My boyfriend and I stayed one night at the Bamboo Lodge in Paracas. The room we were given looked out onto the water which was lovely. It was also over the bar/restaurants on the street which were quite loud well into the evening. The balcony off our room attached to the balconies of the adjacent rooms with only a low wall separating them so we felt that we had to keep our sliding glass door closed and locked for privacy and security when we were not sitting on the balcony. The room was reasonably comfortable, with good lighting. It was clean. The bathroom was fine. Wifi was free and worked in the room as well as at the bar. The receptionist helped us book a boat ride to Isla Ballestas, though I gather just about anyone in Paracas will be happy to help with that service. We were also welcome to leave some luggage in storage for a couple days when we traveled farther afield. It was not in a locked space but it was undisturbed and safe. The hotel is a short walk to the Isla Ballestas boat terminal.

The hotel is in a great location on the water. We were a 5 minute walk to the main beach and restaurants and shops were right next door. The area in front of the hotel was perfect to sit and relax morning and evening. The couches were comfy and lots of tables to relax at too. The staff was very laid back. We were 3-5 minutes walk for tours and a 10 minute walk to the bus station. We ended up extending our stay by 2 days since we enjoyed it so much.

Unbeatable Location on the Malecon

Mildly chaotic slightly cramped but brilliantly situated small (12 rooms) hotel.
The breakfast has no flexibility. Fried eggs ? No sir its scrambled! Wifi is patchy and weak. Music from the surrounding bars floats up all day but goes silent about 10.30

You definitely only want a sea view room the ones at the back are airless and hot

The hotel has great potential. Good place to stay in paracas as its on the Main Street area. We wish we had had a room with a balcony though. There is a hot tub and roof top area which they do not really talk about. The wifi in not great but the hotel told us it was a problem across paracas. Nice little restaurant attached to the hotel. Overall good stay staff were really helpful!

Good hotel by Paracas waterfront

We stayed at the Bamboo Hotel for a night prior to taking the tours of Paracas' Ballestas Islands and the Reserve. The hotel is well located, close to the Cruz del Sur bus station (4 to 5 blocks). The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is pretty standard for Peru, with some scrambled eggs and bread. The WiFi was bad on our room, with limited connection and slow speed.

The hotel is located right on the main walkway that runs up and down the shore. Close to everything. Room was very nice for the price. Everything was clean and secure. Definitely get the ocean view room. I would imagine this place is not as enjoyable if you are looking back toward the street. Waking up in the morning and sitting on the balcony drinking coffee while watching the fishing boats go out was one of my favorite parts of our trip. Sunsets are gorgeous from your room.

staff is friendly, wifi is not working all the time , the breakfast is very little (2 dry bread buns, jam and one cup of coffee - no eggs & unfriendly service), quite loud from bar next door, we stayed for two nights & noone made our beds

Bad, really bad

Worst experience ever, as I arrived from far away at 8pm, and it turned out they had no room for me, they had not kept the booking. However, somehow, I was even glad, because the place doesn`t look at all as in the pictures, I even dare to say that those pictures have not been taken there at all.

Really nice staff who try to help you any time they can. A really good value for a wonderful location right on the malecon. Food at the restaurant was wonderful - try the scallops a la Parmesan

One of the best option in Paracas

One of the best price-comfort relationship, It's a new hotel with a beautiful view to sea and little ships.
Mattress is comfortable and bathroom clean and nice.
The rooms are a quite small. Balcony the best.

Problème de réservation l hotel me previens la veille pour le lendemain qu il ne peux pas me recevoir pour raison de problème de salle de bains
Ok je réserve un autre hébergement en urgence. Pas de nouvelle de remboursement de l hotel ni de hotel.com qui ne fait pas son boulot.

ótima localização e preço.

Estadia de apenas um dia. Atendimento prestativo e quarto grande e inclusive fomos acomodados numa unidade frente ao mar com belíssima vista.
Cama confortável com banheiro grande, entretanto o chuveiro variava a temperatura, isso por sinal, um problema em vários hotéis no Peru. Café da manha simples, podia melhorar um pouco.
Avalio como uma ótima relação custo beneficio e voltaria.

Propreté laissant considérablement à désirer notamment dans la salle de bains.
Un filet d’eau dans la douche et une durée moyenne de 5mn avant d’avoir le filet d’eau chaude.

No es lo que pinta en las fotos

Lamentablemente la estadia fue muy mala. Llegamos a las 10:30pm super cansados despues de un viaje de 3 horas y las personas de la habitacion del costado estuvieron en su balcon tomando y con musica super fuerte hasta las 4:30am. La recepcion del hotel no hizo nada al respecto. No pudimos dormir toda la noche, tanto yo, mi esposa y mi hijo de 6 años. Por otro lado, las fotos realmente no muestran el estado real del hotel. Las sabanas tenian manchas y el estado de la habitacion y baño no eran buenas. Al dia siguiente el administrador nos hizo un descuento en la tarifa por las molestias pero lamentablemente no pensamos volver. Por el lado positivo, la señorita que nos preparo el desayuno a la mañana siguiente fue muy amable con nosotros.

No merece la pena

En general, no me agradó. El baño tenía telarañas, una de las camas no tenía las patas bien aseguradas y se abrían, de haber dormido allí, hubiese acabado en el suelo, el lintel de la ventana estaba con polvo y la cortina parecía un pedazo de tela. Al llegar, no podía verse ningún canal en la televisión, pero luego lo arreglaron. La comida del restaurante estaba insípida, los gatos y las moscas paseaban como si estuviesen en su casa, incluso los gatos se subían a los asientos y hasta querían subirse a la mesa. Pará el precio pagado, casi 500 soles por 2 noches, mejor hubiese buscado un hostal.
