Hotel really well located. Close to station for taking Dart into Dublin. Music in the bar on Saturday night was very enjoyable. We had a lovely large room with large comfortable bed and had everything we needed in the room including good quality toiletries.

Nice stay at this hotel - overall the decor is a tad dated and could do with an uplift but hit said not take from the overall comfy and cosy stay and experience. Quality of bedding was excellent and I have to commend all and every staff I dealt with from check in through to breakfast staff and evening ba staff ( Harrys Bar) - everyone was super helpful, professional and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. Truly!

Front staff tall dark hair gentlemen very courteous. Manager at the restaurant (Hardy’s) Blonde hair she was very accommodating. Room was chilly especially the bathroom radiator did not work. Issue with water temp one day for shower. Over all lovely stay second time and will be back again.

Room was very comfortable. Probably a bit dated at this stage. TV etc, disappointed with the old fashioned type hairdryer in bathroom but overall a very comfortable sleep. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially a young man Paul who was at reception today and went out of his way to help an elderly relative. Breakfast was standard buffet. Expensive i felt but probably standard rate for hotels these days.

It's a great location if you are visiting Dun Laoghaire and there are stunning views. However, some of the balconies in one of the newer builds are concrete, meaning you can't see the view when sitting down, and there is no outdoor furniture. The rooms are pretty tired and in desperate need of a refurb. Beds are very comfortable and the room we had (Executive Sea View) was a great size. Service in the lounge is very slow but the staff are pleasant and helpful.

We spent three pleasant days at this hotel. Rooms are updated and well-laid out. Bed is super comfortable for those who just arrived on a flight from the US! Staff was competent and friendly enough. We tried to check in about 1-2 pm, originally they said could check in at 4 and store our bags, but a room immediately came free, which was very appreciated. Buffet breakfast and food in the cafe outside the bar were pretty good. All in all a good stay. Thank you!

As per the title. Needed TP. etc. Not clear on how to get it. So I went to receptionist to source. Should be a better system in place. The beds were fabulous. Slept like a log. No noise at all. Beautiful property.
Convenient to transport, ocean & walks. Would stay again.

The hotel was nice, but there was a serious lack of experienced staff in the evenings and night times. Bar staff were mainly 'being trained', and so it was very difficult to get a drink or any other order.
The service was slow and poor. I got a glass of water in a glass which was cracked and chipped.
The senior/managerial staff were good, but they were few and far between.

Pretty view from the main room, but very dated rooms.
Our mini fridge was broken but the light was on. Some things we put in there were spoiled.
We told front desk. They said sorry. But a few bucks off for the rotten food in the fridge would’ve been the fair thing.

Very bad I was locked in the bathroom because of a fault with the handles for about 30-40 minutes with the other guest who is prone to panick attacks stuck in a small room sweating trying to get out the handle ever th ally came off and I was able to get out went down to complain and they blamed me tried to say I didn’t have to break the handle but it was the only way to get out I asked for a refund they said no they then moved us into a SMALLER room and I said no I want the same room not a smaller one as it was not what I booked they then lied and told me there was no other rooms available that they were fully booked but I went online and there was availability they eventually gave me another room I was happy with but I wasn’t happy with all the inconvenience of moving around so late at night and the man who was directed to show me the rooms appeared aggressive when I did not like the rooms starting punching his hands while walking down the hallways and sighing very loudly I was very unsatisfied.

Our experience was pretty okay, I would have liked to see staff members that were serving drink and food to tables to be wearing masks or shields. I felt very uncomfortable under these circumstances in the times we are living in right now. Other than that everything else was fine. There was two members of staff wearing masks but of course they never served our table.

This was the final leg of a round Ireland trip. This hotel was the most relaxing. No queues for breakfast or dinner. No problem booking dinner and the staff and chefs were most accommodating.
Present covid free atmosphere.

A great old hotel in a really good location with lovely sea views and good service. Nice café nice bar serving meals and even a little bit of live music. We were a little surprised that we had to pay additional fees to use the swimming pool due to swim hat and flip-flop rules and felt this should’ve been made more clear.

We did not like the abrasive ,arrogant waiter who took our dinner order at the bar restaurant , got the order wrong but apologised. Queuing up in a line for breakfast was unusual even though when we were shown our table there were vacant tables which had not been cleared. We we aware of disgruntled people about us who were unhappy with their food.

Had a lovely stay with a friend at the Royal Marine Hotel recently. The hotel is very impressive from the outside, lovely building. The reception areas are all spotlessly clean and great facilities. Lovely breakfast the following morning. My only small negative was the bedroom. It was dark as were facing directly at another old wall and for some reason the bedsheet was not long enough for the bed about 6 inches short so the sheet kept rolling up on me at the bottom! Might have been ok if you are a short person but i am tall so am the full length of the bed.

Staff very friendly and helpful, both at reception and in the bar. However, our room was on the fifth floor quite far away and the whole area was cold. Our room was cold as well which is the opposite of most hotels as the rooms are usually too hot. Also, the plug was missing in the sink.

I checked in late and very tired. The check in lady was efficient, brisk and polite but a little sharp in rattling of the check in blurb. My room had a window that did not close properly which was noisy and draughty in the stormy weather. The view from the window was grim buildings. There was someone's long black hair on the desk notepad and there was a pair of false eyelashes behind the sink. Eww! I was, in fairness, given another room immediately by a very polite helpful member of staff, but it was only when I had settled that I realised that the air con was noisy and there was a slightly 'off' smell from the bathroom. Otherwise it was clean and comfortable. I couldn't be bothered asking to change room again as the restaurant would close at 9 and I wanted to get changed and showered and not eat in a rush. The food and service in the restaurant was very good. I went to bed early and it was very comfortable.

A fascinating hotel, I got lost trying to get back to my room from Reception without using the lift, ie via the stairs. Took ages, but the exercise did me good.

Went for a night away from everything. On arrival, had difficulty understanding either of the reception staff whos first language was not English. The room was a good size with all the usual facilities available. However there were some cleaning issues with the bathroom and the desk had been water damaged. We had planned a few drknks in the bar with dinner and headed down to the Hardy bar. Again all the staff struggled with simple queries in English and the service was far from what I expected from a 4 star hotel. Not once were we asked if we needed another drink, despite empty glasses on the table and staff milling about looking bored. Love my city breaks, have travelled the world but will not be recommending this hotel...

Really lovely break away for my little super psyched five year old and my partner our first trip away at Christmas time!there was a Christmas choccie selection box left in our room wishing us a Happy Christmas...beautiful big room lovely atmosphere in the Hotel!The staff in the Hardys Bar were really helpful... made sure my picky eater got fed even though what she was looking for wasn’t technically on the menu that night!👍👍👍

Really enjoyed this hotel, fantastic location & great experience at check-in.

I mentioned to the girl at reception at check-out the next morning that we had discovered a foreign object when we rolled back the sheets to get into bed (too tired to inform reception) and she said she would inform housekeeping...that was a bit late for us. Perhaps a reduction on future stay or complimentary breakfast next time or some such gesture would be nice.

It is in a central location, has good facilities, and the breakfast was very good. I also liked the fact that we were able to check in earlier. What wasn’t so good was the fact that our original room was close to the function room and at 1030 at night we felt like wedding guests due to the noise of the band. After drawing this to receptions attention we were moved to a room at the rear of the hotel. The inconvenience of having to repack and move could have been avoided had a bit of thought been given to the guests who were allocated rooms close to the function room. As many of the wedding guests were staying the night at the hotel perhaps common sense could have been deployed to put these guests in rooms which they were unlikely to occupy until in the night!!
