What a great Guest House!
Everything was superb.
The property is immaculate in all areas.
The room was modern, well equipped, had everything you could need.
The breakfast was excellent- all quality ingredients. With a good choice.

A clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and well maintained place. It was very quiet even though in a very central part of town. In fact ideal location.i didn't drive there but parking is Easy too. Easy walking distance to bus terminal, shore front walk and all the shops you could need. Very nice couple who run it and brilliant breakfast with lots of tea or coffee.

The owner was very professional, welcoming and organised. The room was cute, with homely touches. The breakfast was prepared with care and alternative milk was provided on request.
However, I had to google how to get the shower working and it oscillated between scalding hot and freezing cold.
A nice place to stop over but not suitable for tall or mobility impaired travellers.

Lovely stay. Elaine greeted me and made me feel at home showing me around. Had a walk around the waterside. Good night sleep, especially for catching the ferry (15 min drive) to Belfast. Breakfast was either cereals and yogurt or a cooked one to order. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Lovely Friendly Place...great value!

Stopped off here, as we had a ferry to catch rhe morning after The owner Elaine was there to greet us, and show us our room. Everywhere was clean and tidy, room had everything we needed. Breakfast was provided, plenty of choice, and was very tasty. Would definitely stay here again...

We are a family of 4 traveling through 4 countries for 2 weeks. This was our favorite! Upon checkin, Alan met us and showed us to our room. He was so friendly and welcoming. We had the family suite. It was so beautiful and comfortable! Each kid had their own twin bed, and they loved it! Windows opened to hear the seagulls and cars below, and let in the cool sea breeze. There was plenty of space to move around. The bathroom was very clean and perfect for us. We ordered the full breakfast the next morning - what a delight! Elaina was very nice and made sure we pronounced “Edinburgh” correctly before leaving, haha! This place is walkable to everything in town you’d want to see. We hope to visit again one day.

The host were absolutely amazing people! Properties were clean and beautiful! Has a beautiful view and not to far from the banks of Loch Lomond(5min) and not to far from the highlands! Also very close to Glasgow! 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Next trip to Scotland will be staying again!

This is a fantastic place. The owners are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The space is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. It's a great spot to explore the area from or to stay before heading off on the ferry nearby. Definitely a great stay!

Lake view is gorgeous, when we arrived we were greatly by Elaine and shown to our room which was decorated to a very high standard and a fantastic en suite.. the property is decorated well throughout and the dining room is well equipped for all you need for breakfast including little extra touches that the owners included.. we have had the best stay and would highly recommend the property to anyone

Easy parking and Elaine was such a kind and gracious host. The property was snug and very charming. Everything was impeccably clean and nice. We were leaving too early for the standard breakfast time so she went out of her way to put things out for us. It was just like home!

Rodney’s garden was also beautiful outside the window!

A hidden gem, well worth a stay

Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated and had decent views. Parking outside was not a problem, and the overall atmosphere of Lakeview Guest house as well as the attention detail ( and the breakfast) made our stay perfect.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, which was conveniently located and easy to find. The staff were exceptionally courteous, even going so far as to call ahead and confirm the check-in time, as well as suggest dining options. Property was easy to find in Stranraer. We arrived very late due to traffic and the staff were very accommodating of this and left us the key and instructions to sort ourselves out on arrival. Also next morning we had to leave before breakfast to get a ferry and again we were able to sort ourselves out with cereals for breakfast before departure. Would highly recommend if visiting Stranraer.

We booked this spot last minute and the host was very accommodating. It is owner run, owner operated and they are high five-able people. The room was on the small side but had exactly what we needed. The location was perfectly situated in town and across the street from the ocean.
