The property location was quiet and convenient, check-in was very easy, and the service was wonderful! Unfortunately I do not feel like the photos of the property actually reflected what I experienced. The grout in the shower had black mold, and I saw some pill bugs crawling around the floor near the fridge. The AC was not turned on when I entered so it was very hot and did not cool down for a long time - I'm sure this is for the purpose of being eco-friendly but it was definitely unpleasant for a while. Additionally (and probably for ex-friendliness as well), all of the lighting was very blue/white and made the room feel clinical and uninviting. I spent extra to have a room with a balcony and found that it was impossible to turn off the balcony light which made it hard to fall asleep.

Be warned there is a flight of stairs and a few extra to get to this apartment.
Washer did smell of mildew and no dedicated clothes line to hang dry your clothes. We got creative and the clothes dried quickly outdoors.

Booked the Rock apartment, just so that you’re aware this is a basement in a building covered in graffiti round the corner from the hotel. The windows are covered in metal bars, the beds advertised are incorrect. There are no twin beds. The basement is a corner of the building, alongside a pavement - so can hear pedestrians walking by and the road / cars. Found it overall unsafe. If you look at the photos attached the bottom windows that are part showing is the apartment, and the metal door is the entrance.

This review is for The Rock apartment, not the hotel. The air conditioning did not work in parts of the unit, though an attempt to fix it was made. The sleeper sofa's are NOT comfortable to sit on as a sofa. (I have no idea if they are comfortable as beds.) Otherwise, the location is great for the Acropolis/sites and restaurants, and the unit was spacious, quiet and clean.

It was not a touristy area, but was a close walk (13 min) up the hill to the Acropolis and some nice restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly. A nice breakfast and other food and beverage items were available. The rooms were nicely updated and had everything we needed. The reception and dining area room was a bit tight. Our room was very close to the main area and we had to walk through the tight area to exit. Not a problem except when crowded at breakfast time. Rooms off the main floor might be more private. Very affordable. The roof top was lovely to use. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was superb for a touring holiday - walking distance from everything, in a really nice area with fantastic restaurants. Hotel was good and the room was fine......needed a few repairs, but mostly good. Staff were lovely. Breakfast had a lot of things but would have been better with fresh fruit options. Breakfast seemed overpriced for what it was, but still fine. There is a bakery right across the road where we got a nice breakfast and coffee on a couple of mornings.

We loved our stay at Be My Guest -- it was one of the highlights of our trip. The apartment was very spacious -- two rooms, plus an extra pull-out bed in the common area. My wife and I and our two kids had a wonderful time at Be My Guest and would stay here again should we return to the magnificent city of Athens. From the moment they picked us up at the airport (right on time!), we knew we were in good hands. The staff was extremely helpful, and the Rock apartment was clean, spacious, and in a cozy little part of the city, next to everything (a very short walk to restaurants with an incredible view of the Acropolis!). They even recommended what became our favorite restaurant in Athens, and breakfasts there were simply delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a really nice stay after being able to find the hotel. Although they were kind enough to send us directions and we had googled it, the streets were very confusing. It would be very helpful to have landmarks given for future guests. Also, we were told on our reservation that breakfast was included but there was a sign that indicated that the breakfast was 10Euros, so we were confused on that issue as well. Overall, the staff was wonderful, friendly, and courteous, our room was clean and well apportioned.

We stayed in the 'Rock' apartment which is a short walk from the main hotel. The nearest metro is Thisseio however we found the apartment in easy walking distance (10-15mins max) from Monistiraki Square and the Acropolis so was able to explore all the main sites on foot, although the metro is modern, cheap and easy to navigate.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and informative. The apartment was clean, well equipped and perfect for a family of 4. It was cleaned daily and felt safe and secure. Good wifi.

The only small negatives that could be improved would be a security safe to avoid carrying items unnecessarily and a recycling bin for plastics etc.

I was very fortunate to find this place as a last-minute booking, not realising how amazing of a place it truly is (most of which is mentioned in previous reviews).

We had a great few days in Athens staying at Be My Guest, and the friendly support of the team at BMG was a factor in this. They were happy to help to receive a delivery for us, enable us to leave early for a day trip and to store our bags on our unexpectedly longer final day in Greece (a side benefit of cancelled flight!)
Breakfast was great, with good use of reusable glass etc. for jam, butter, etc. and some delicious yoghurt, fruit and pastries (we've since looked up a recipe for the filo triangles!)
The only real drawback for us was that the pavements in the area were tricky to navigate with a wheelchair - the hills we coped with OK. But appreciate that this is not the hotel's responsibility and once we were 100m east and into the main areas of Athens things improved.
Lots of restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk was a real benefit - most with Acropolis views.

Staff was wonderful and they had a beautiful little rooftop area. The area is close to LGBT venues and also equi-distant to acropolis; there is a bakery across the street that got many visits from me.
I loved that there was a balcony and that the door opened partially for a nice breeze. Only improvement was the shower got water everywhere and only had a small divider to keep water out of the other areas.

This is a surprisingly cozy hotel. Very charming front desk staff, very friendly & helpful.
Rooms are a bit small, but I have no other experience in Greece to compare with. However, the rooms are well laid out and appointed. I had a small balcony overlooking the street, and yet the room was quiet. Highly recommend this to anyone (although families may find the rooms a bit cozy).
