Nice, clean, studio apt in great location. Was nice to have microwave, needs a small dining set. More like a vacation rental with daily room services than a hotel - very limited staff hours at stairwell landing /lobby. No elevator, hard low beds and furniture, very small but manageable bathroom. Blaring rock music track from outside repeating for hours very disturbing on first night. Owners attentive and accommodating however, small pad lock on stored luggage was missing at pickup. Nothing else noticeable missing.

Stayed for a week at The Athens Version Luxury Suites in a Superior room with a view of the Temple of Hephaestus and very happy that we chose this hotel. The hotel is perfectly located near Monastiraki Square and is a short 5 minute walk to the Monastiraki Metro station. There is a rooftop patio with an excellent view of the Acropolis and we enjoyed having drinks in the evening relaxing and looking out over the city.

The location was perfect. Within a 3-minute walk there are probably 20 restaurants, and dozens more within a 15 minute walk. We were also able to walk to the Parthenon, the Ancient Agora, Syntagma Square, and Plaka.

The room was clean and had a nice selection of coffees and teas. It included a kitchen sink, refrigerator, and microwave. The air conditioner kept us cool in the 90F degree heat.

Olga, who greeted us upon arrival and showed us around, is a true angel. She arranged transportation for us to and from the airport. On the day we were supposed to check out my wife got sick and Olga arranged for a doctor to come to our room.

If you are looking for a place that is centrally located, clean, with great views, and excellent service, I highly recommend Athens Version Luxury Suites!

A great place to stay close to the city centre without being in it.
Good for the metro.
Great views from the roof top terrace.
On the edge of the flea market so ideal if you like browsing and antiques.
The small kitchen area allows you to have your own breakfast goods. A kettle and coffee pod machine were great.
We stayed 1 night before boarding a cruise and the owners let us leave cases while we explored Athens.

Small narrow hotel with mini 2 person or person/luggage elevator. Rooms are large with 2 or 3 per floor. Had help with luggage taken up to room upon arrival (several trips) but had to haul our own down at checkout. Very convienient location. Walking to shopping and restaurants. Needed to flip breaker every time for hot water and wait or take a cold shower. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Maid serviced every day.

First and foremost, Julius (the owner) was so incredibly helpful and friendly!!! Our bags were delayed 24hrs and helped guide us to pharmacies/etc, AND waited for our bags our first full day in Athens, so we could sightsee. He was also incredible at setting up car service from the airport.

His property is a 5 floor boutique hotel IN EUROPE. Pls do not judge the property based on US standards (and sound like a typical American). Again, this is Europe, where elevators can be much smaller, rooms and bathrooms much smaller, and things are just different. We have been around thw world and LOVED 95% about this place!

Owner, cleanliness, LOCATION WAS SPECTACLE (food, sights, shopping & strolling), etc... All A++.
Plaka is the old town where almost everyone should stay!

We stayed on the 4th floor in 402, which had 3 beds for the 4 of us. 2 were pullouts, but once again, don't judge! --- it was perfedt for what we needed! There was a terrific shower + refrigerator and microwave.

I STRONGLY suggest Juilus' hotel over a typical airbnb, where u have no interface with anyone (in case there are problems OR you just need good advice). The big hotels are not in Plaka so u will spend time and money getting there. Plus they are more expensive in most cases.

BTW- The 5% is just because nothing is 100% perfect (when on a family budget), but this place is ad close as one could hope for when traveling oversees!

All is great and impressive they replace every day the towel and clean up kitchen. Towel normally in regular hotel is not replaced everyday. On the 3rd day they replace also the blanket of bed that is impressive. The dress cabinet needs to be replaced as it is already with tear and wear condition.

I had two rooms booked both were supposed to have a view of the Acropolis. The only way to see it is if you leaned out the windowfar enough. The mattress was so hard, felt like we were sleeping on a pull out couch. The wardrobe in our room301, was literally falling apart. The towels were thin and old. The best part were the restaurant across the street and the little breakfast place next door.

If you want to stay in Athens definitely this place we rented Suite very spacious with sofa. I also happen to see other rooms and also spacious. The lobby is small but I don't mind at all. I rather get the space in the rooms. I stay at several hotel in athens all rooms were bery small.Location amazing for walking to shopping and walking to restaurants and night life.

A Must-go with a Gorgeous Acropolis View

We absolutely loved our stay at the Athens version. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and if they weren't available there was a phone number that we could text at all times. Housekeeping left the room in wonderful condition every single day, there was a nice climate unit in our apartment which adapted really well. Next to the hotel on the ground floor is a wonderful food establishment that had beautiful music every night that we opened our window to listen to. And if music's not your thing closing the window keeps it more than quiet enough! We will be recommending this hotel to all of our friends and family as they come to Athens. Last but not least, is the breathtaking view of the Acropolis on the roof of the hotel. And if the Acropolis is not your cup of tea, you can see various different churches and other ruins. While on top of the roof! We got a room where we could see the temple of Hephaestus through our window! 10 out of 10 would recommend! The location is super near Monastiraki and Thissio Metro stations, and a lot of shopping and flea markets! Also, the food scene near the hotel is some of the best food we've had in Athens!

This hotel is located a short walk from Monastiraki square. Olga was there when we arrived but staff is not there 24 hours a day instead there is a code to enter the building. The room was lovely. We had a large corner room with a king-size bed and a couch. It was so sunny that we had to keep the curtains drawn to reduce the heat but it was great in the morning. The location was super convenient. Just downstairs is a restaurant and there is a lovely gelateria just a block away on Ermou. You are only minutes from the famous Monastiraki market surrounded by streets for shopping and full of outdoor seating restaurants. It seemed that every other restaurant had a duo on bouzouki and guitar or keys which was great. Although it was not a problem for us, Monastiraki is a busy place and there is music going on until late in the evening. We used earplugs and slept fine.

This property is in a GREAT location! Right at the fit of what i should call \"old town\". Walk to all the places to see in athens. But the start of the show is the staff. Attentive and very helpful. Problems or dinner/activity suggestions, they're spot on. I have to day at first glance mayby not what you'd expect. But an easy 5 stars.

We stayed at the place for only one night between an island ferry and a flight out of Greece.

The place was easy to find and everything worked smoothly. It has a great location that is walkable to all of the old town. There is also paid parking in 3 walking minutes distance. There is also a roof terrace from which you can see the Akropolis.

We can highly recommend staying there!

Don’t let the name fool you, there’s nothing luxury about this place and they’re definitely not suites. The rooms are very small very basic but clean. The hotel is hard to find, behind a restaurant and under a canopy. It is very small, the stairs are very narrow, thank goodness they have a teeny tiny elevator that fits your suitcases only, too small for you to be in it with your suitcase. The office is a small cubby hole underneath the stairs with just a chair and small table, there was no-one there most of the time.
The teeny tiny room was clean, in front of the bed is a desk with a toy teeny tiny refrigerator which is a joke because even if it did work every time you leave the room all the power goes out including the toy joke of a refrigerator so anything in there does not stay cold!!! The staff was pleasant when we did see them and the restaurant in front of the hotel is amazing! We ate there a lot.

The room was great! There was a kitchenette with sink and a full size mirror outside the bathroom, which made getting ready in the mornings easier for us three girls :) The location was wonderful with easy walking access to all the major sights. The restaurant downstairs was wonderful, with friendly staff, and our favorite meal in Athens.

I had the most enjoyable stay. Very much enjoyed meeting, eating and having a few beverages with the owner and his friends. The view from the rooftop is amazing and the area is close enough to the central area (10-minute walk) to distance from the bulk of the tourists. It was a super easy walk to the flea market (3 minutes) and to Ancient Agora of Athens (4 minutes) The room was clean, quiet and convenient. Will stay again.

The hotel is within walking distance from local flea markets, dinning and archeological sites which was convenient for us. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. It’s a small hotel approx 12-14 rooms. We only saw the the guest service personnel twice. Just fyi, to conserve energy, the lights and AC only work when someone is in the room. You’ll need to place the key fob in a slot to activate the electricity. So it took the room a bit longer to cool off which was a little inconvenient after walking all day in the heat.

Wish it was better!

Disappointed with this stay! Hotel room flooring was in a bad shape, with flooring boards moving, leaving lots of gaps. I even scratched myself in one of the gaps. The rooftop was nice but very tiny and not much usable since there is an exterior wall painting going on at the evening and night times. Windows of the room was so bad that you can hear someone coughing on the street, even our room was on 3rd floor. Crazy part - when i informed these issues to the property manager, he brushed it off, saying that they are aware of the issue but will not take care of it until off season. Location was nice, but certainly not worth the money with all the issues! I wish they specifically mention these issues to the future guests, so others can make an informed decision.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is prime for shopping, access to archaeological sites, and wonderful restaurants. There was an election going on, so noise on the street was the only downside, the host Joocn (Joanna) was absolutely delightful and super helpful. The building has tons of character and a fabulous roof top patio with a view of the city.

loud music played until 2am in the morning, can't sleep. Claimed to be temple view. However, you can not see the temple unless you open the window, stick your head outside, and turn 90 degree. No onsite manager most of the time. Also she is making things overly complicated. All the password can be printed on one page of paper, and handed out to guest in 1 minutes instead of spending 30 minutes trying to explain.

Primary reason we booked because per description on Expedia, all rooms have a kitchenette including a kettle. What we got was a very small room with no kitchenette and no kettle (kettle provided later that evening). Hotel acknowledged that description for a standard room is incorrect and offered to refund us for one night. Despite repeated assurances, a month later we have yet to see any refund. Note that the standard room is very small and comes with essentially a bed and a small table. Julius at front desk is very friendly and tried to make things right but we would not stay here again.

I loved the location. Convenient to the major attractions including the Acropolis and Museum, The Agora, the Plaka, and Archaeological Museum. Views from the rooftop was the perfect way to end your day. I loved the staff and their warm hospitality. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Athens.

Great Location, walking on Ermou Street for shopping and sightseeing. At night found a cool area with tons of restaurants and bars and it was totally happening on a Saturday night. noise was not an issue at all. They arranged for taxi to pick us up and take us to the airport early morning when going home which was very handy as you don't want to be trying to get one yourself. From the airport you can just take a taxi or Uber or they can arrange it for you as well.
One note in regards to someone who put on his review about not having hot water, there is hot water and actually extremely hot water, you just have to push a red button.

This was the perfect location for our brief stay.
We walked and walked and really got a sense of both the ancient and the modern city of Athens.
The owner of the hotel met us outside of the hotel when we arrived as he sat at the charming resturaunt downstairs and was always helpful and interested each time we entered or left to explore.

Best place to be!

It's our first time in Athens and we never expected the suite to be the best place to be. It is in perfect location where everything is in a walking distance. You also have the roof top views of Parthenon, Agorra, and the whole city and the mountain from the suite's shared terrace! You will also have access to their family owned restaurant which they have live bands on weekends and breakfast that is discounted! Would love to stay at the same place again if we would go back to Athens!

Excellent and unique hotel in the heart of Athens

Super clean and modern room in a quaint hotel located in Monastiraki area of Athens. We enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to the sights, museums, cafes, shops and the famous Flea Market just steps away! We arrived after dark on our first night and were awestruck at the incredible view from the hotel terrace of the Acropolis under a full moon! The room has a very nice bathroom and everything we needed to make our stay there relaxing and pleasant. Would highly recommend.
