Amazing hotel and location. Great for adults.

Great hotel. Great location for both beach and main town. Recently refurbished bar. Great food. All the staff are welcoming helpful and friendly.
Lovely out door pool.
Comfort rooms are in a separate block to main hotel. Standard rooms are good size. Daily cleaning.

Local train runs along the costa brava with amazing views. Great cheap connection for day trip to barcelona. Can get very busy at peak times.

Amazing roof top infinity pool but comes with additional daily €35pp charge and is not included in the stay unless booking all inclusive.

Another amazing short break at DWO Palmeres. Fantastic hotel offset from the seafront, close to the main stretch of restaurants and bars, with some wonderful facilities to take advantage of. Weather permitting, don’t miss out on the roof top infinity pool. Only a short 15min walk to the train station connecting direct in 1hr 30mins to barcelona. Of course theres the beach. Only 500 yards from the hotel. Oh what a stretch of beach it is ……outstanding.

I enjoyed my stay at DWO Les Palmer's! I live in BCN and just wanted a quick weekend getaway and booked it at the last minute. I particularly enjoyed the infinity pool on the top floor. There is an additional charge but it was well worth it for some peace and solitude. The views were great up there. The staff was very friendly, efficient and accommodating, especially Manel at the front desk. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did!

Another Incredible faultless stay.

Great location minus the views. Offset but only 100 yards from the beach and main stretch of restaurants/bars. Very friendly and welcoming. Outdoor pool by the bar and rooftop infinity pool (seasonal) plus optional exclusive use of outstanding spa pool facility (€5 euro ph) is the cherry on top. Recommend stay with breakfast only and venture out to the many great places to eat in Calella.

Location of the hotel was ideal (everything is walking distance, close to restaurants and a small beach opposite the hotel if you don't care to walk 10mins in either direction for a larger one), staff are very helpful and friendly (plus they have a bit of English which helps!) and the room is clean and well presented. Would definitely come back

Absolutely fab service, they accommodate all my requests. I came here for a sporting event and the hotel arranged for an early breakfast for us. Good food. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Not a place to rest & relax

The hotel room and accommodations were very good but it was noisy. I could hear other guests opening and closing doors quite loudly, some partying all night. The hotel is located in a tourist area filled mostly with younger people that partied until early mornings. On my checking out at 5:00am, I saw groups of young people still walking and talking loudly on the streets. If you're going there to relax, choose another town. Not the hotels fault however.

Problem getting a taxi

Overall, the hotel was OK. We stayed 2 nights. Maybe it was just bad luck, but we were without hot water the first day and without Wi-Fi for half a day the second day. The big trouble was getting a taxi the first night when it was raining hard. The hotel clerk had reserved a taxi for us at 20:40. It never came. The employee called the taxi company back many times, each time getting a promise that a cab would come within minutes. ONE HOUR later, he finally looked for another cab company and got us a taxi. I think the hotel should consider doing business with many cab companies. It was unacceptable that one had to wait for an hour for a cab at a 4-star hotel. One last irritation: the hotel had a room safe, but one had to rent it for 5 euros a day.

Great customer service

Front desk people were the best part of the hotel, they were helpful and friendly. The room was hot and opening the windows was not an option due to the noise level outside. Our room faced another hotel that was loud all night.

Good but could be better

Our stay was very pleasurable however I feel there is definitely room for improvement with the service and quality of food the restaurant has to offer. We stayed on a B&B basis, and like most we all enjoy a good nutritious breakfast to set us up for the day, but it was very disappointing. Fried eggs were offered twice out of seven days, then what appeared to be scrambled eggs, was actually powdered egg, which was unpalatable. Without a doubt Hotel 4* standard, restaurant 2*.

Good price/quality !

Overall rating is good to very good ! Rooms are rather small but very well mended. Staff could be more friendly.
Although not mentioned in the brochure, i had to pay extra for the use of the minibar and too much for the use of the safe (20 euro's per week).
For the rest: good hotel, worth while his four stars !

This was my fifth visit to this hotel & have enjoyed my stay every time, I have been with my family & friends & everyone has had a good time. The staff & management the tops. The hotel is clean, the service is very good & a good selection of food in the restaurant. Keep up the good work & hope to go back to Hotel Les Palmeres soon.

Hotel is smalll and overshadowed by surrounding buildings,very good at the hieght of summer but not in cool weather.
Bar did not open untill 1600hrs , which seemed odd?
Car parking chaotic unless you are happy to pay 10 Euros /day.
Overall a good ,central ,value for money choice.

Les Palmeres 1hr train ride from Barcelona

perfect location to mix a beach holiday with the cultural delights of Barcelona although the travel to the city was more time consuming than anticipated.
Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and understood English if could not speak it!
Food was generous, varied and well presented.
Only criticism, which was beyond the control of the hotel,was that it was abit noisey in the early hours some nights due to youngsters in the street below.
Barcelona was extra special.Calella beach was very near but a bit steep at shoreline for young children.

Reasonably priced - great buffet breakfast!

Would recommend this hotel. We stayed here for Challenge Barcelona and it was perfect. Conveniently located to the main strip, the beach and most of the decent restaurants. Room was a little spartan, but was fine for a few nights. Breakfast buffet was very good and they put on an early breakfast for us on race morning.

For the price it's fine

This hotel was quite alright. The windows needed to be opened as soon as we entered our room, because it was a bit stuffy. The room is not too shabby but not any great shakes either. Didn't enjoy the backed-up water in the tub while showering. The breakfast was fairly good and caters more to folks that like eggs and bacon so to speak. There were parking spot on the local streets for free.

The Best Western calella

Never reviewed an hotel before but must compliment the hotel especially the front desk staff on their helpfulness.e.g. I left my phone charger behind me and they posted it to my house. They also opened the breakfast early to cater for us on the morning of our half ironman. They also helped out when my hire car was nearly clamped outside the hotel. Great stuff

Certainly not a 4 star hotel

Hotel was certainly not a 4 star hotel. It looks very old, not renovated. Rooms are ok, quite big. Breakfast was ok. Another problem is that you have to give a caution on everything !! That's scandalous. Pay and give a caution for the fridge (!), give a caution to park your car in the parking (!)... Nothing to see in this hotel, walk away ! Not so well located near the beach but old neighborhood.

A fuir, d’urgence, piscine sale et non aménagé pour enfants piscine au rooftop au prix de 28 euros par personnes.
Chambre mal isolé, buffet très mauvaise qualité.

Lo mejor:
- Personal muy agradable. Desde la recepción a los de limpieza y comedor. Todos muy amables.
-Habitación muy grande. Balcón grande.
-Desayuno maravilloso.

Lo que no me pareció de 4 estrellas - detalles muy poco cuidados:
- spa
- acondicionamiento de la habitación. Toallas muy viejas.
- desorganización en el servicio de cena

Mala suerte: un gran balcón pero en mi caso daba a la salida de aire del edificio de enfrente, con lo que era ruidoso.

No puedo evaluar zona piscina dado que está cerrada por temporada baja. Tampoco usé la conexión wifi

We were only the night to sleep in this hotel. I really appreciated that the room was quiet and big. And I was so happy that I could separate the beds. Because my mom's sleep is not calm. The receptionicts were very friendly and their English was very good. Hard to find in Spain! :) The only thing was that the room had a certain strong smell. I don't know if it's because of cleaning liquids or because it's very old.

When we arrived we saw police cars driving around. I don't know the reason but somehow you feel safe when you know the place is monitored. You can reach by walking very fast the sea and coffee shops, restaurants.

And the price for two person was very good & fair. I can recommend it.

Für Sauna muss jedes mal 5 Euro Zahlen und also wenn Handtuch für Strand brauchst muss 10 Euro Ausleihgeld zahlen.

Buena ubicación cerca del mar. Buen desayuno. Había en la habitación sólo una silla vieja y en mal estado.
Desaconsejable para viajes de negocio: no dejan incluir en la factura lo que vayas pidiendo (ej. cafés, bebidas), y cada vez tienes que estar pagando (no lo ponen en la habitación)

L' única cosa que em va semblar poc oportuna va ser la puntualitat de tancar el menjador després d'esmorzar. A les 10.00 en punt.
Entenc que no deixin entrar a partir de les 10.00, però els que estem a dins hem de poder esmorzar amb tranquil. litat i que no ens tanquin els llums.

Hôtel où il ne faut surtout pas aller

A l arrivée coffre fort inutilisable
Après une nuit sans pouvoir dormir vu le bruit et la musique j ai appelé à 4 -15 h l accueil qui n a pas bougé .
Mon mari est sorti à 4 h pour faire arrêter la musique
Pas moyen d appeler avec téléphone de la chambre qui n avait pas de fil de liaison et donc caduque j ai donc tel avec mon téléphone
Le matin pas de savon à la douche
Le soir pris un thé froid par 2 fois j ai demandé chaud et pendant ce temps une perceuse durant 1/2heure fonctionne dans le bar !!!
Je me demande comment cet hôtel a encore 4 étoiles car je n en donnerai même pas une pas 1
Et je n étais pas la seule à être mécontente le matin !!!!

Mon séjour très agréable beaucoup de monde en été, par contre l'hôtel dans lui même ça va le buffet très léger surtout le soir même trop léger, le personnel rien a dire tous très sympathique et à l'écoute
Par contre hôtel piscine petite, pas d'animation surtout en saison et malheureusement certaines prestations comme la piscine a débordement on devait payé ainsi que le jacuzzi et le hammam 😥😥 donc je pense pas revenir car parfois les petits détails peuvent faire beaucoup de tort
La chambre correcte juste les serviettes trouées donc pas agréable pour se séché
Donc séjour triste à l'hôtel 😥😥

L’hôtel ne vaut pas un 4* mais la situation géographique (plein centre ville et à deux pas de la mer) et l’extrême gentillesse du personnel relève le niveau!
Je recommande cet hôtel.

Fantástico servicio y atención

No soy muy dado a dejar opiniones aquí, pero el servicio de recepción del hotel por la mañana (no se el nombre de él, pero espero se de por aludido 😊 gracias!!) ha sido tan excelente que la dejo sólo por eso.
La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, a escasas dos calles de la playa. Por tanto no daba pereza a volver aunque fuera sólo a descansar y darse una ducha cuando el sol aprieta.
Las habitaciones cómodas, equipadas con casi todo (la nevera se ha de pedir en recepción, va con llave), aunque un pelín antiguas.
El desayuno fantástico, también servicio en mesa con platos calientes. Variedad de fruta, cereales, bollería, embutidos.... y además muy rico. Muy bien atendido pues había un camarero/cocinero (de 10) y ayudaba la persona de recepción (repito, fantástica)
De agradecer también las facilidades para poder ducharnos luego sin tener habitación y poder dejar equipaje el tiempo necesario.
Hay parking, no en el hotel, en la misma calle a 5min caminando, y son 12€ por día, no excesivamente caro pues te olvidas del coche.
En resumen, una estancia fantástica.
Gracias, y si regreso a Calella creo que repetiría sin duda.
