Not a good experience

Old tired Hotel which is in need of an overhaul. Rooms smell and are very damp. Had the poo tank outside our room so moved as the room smelt like a toilet. Had to run around the shower to get wet as the water presser is nothing, toilet didn’t like flushing so needed to press 3/4 times good for water saving. Second time at the hotel and it hasn’t improved so won’t be back. 6 years between stays.

Anniversary upgrade

We were upgraded to a ocean front villa for our anniversary which was greatly appreciated. The spa bathroom was awesome especially the tub area. We did have some issues with the shower faucet not getting hot water as well as the bathroom sink didn't have hot water. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Too bad that there was no beach as showed on there hotel photos.

We had to ask to move rooms as the first one felt like it was falling apart, broken furniture, towel rail falling off the wall, shelf fell off (riddled with whiteant). Rooms were old and dated, in desperate need of repair. The restaurant was shut undergoing renovations, which we were not made aware of when booking

The stay at Kacha Resort was great. Staff are very professional and focused on their customers. With the use of two pools with swim up bars, ocean front lounge chairs and umbrellas, and buffet breakfast it was perfect. Mini marts, shopping, and restaurants all in walking distance. Don't forget the restaurants at the hotel, food and service was great. The family enjoyed the Seaview all three nights!

Great!

I’ve stayed there two different times now and would definItaly stay again. The resort is divided into two sections; the seaside and the hillside. We stayed on the hillside section where our room overlooked one of two pools. The local area is touristy yet quiet. There are bars nearby but they’re far enough away that they’re no disturbance. Such a great vibe on the street once all the food vendors come out in the early evening. Love the included breakfast too.

Overall nice resort.

Some of the staff was very friendly, but overall not as nice as most resorts I have stayed in Thailand. Rooms were cleaned well--would be better if they didn't leave the doors open while cleaning because did allow some mosquitoes entry. Towels need to be replaced, a little worn. Need to improve amenities, no soap provided and refillable pump bottles in my shower did not work.
Nice pool area and great location to most of the white sand beach area. Certainly served it's purpose but seemed a little expensive compared to other similar/even nicer looking resorts. Great sunsets here.

The resort is in good location and presentable. Needs pest control. Has huge variety of breakfast... But as we are vegetarian did not enjoy much.... Though had selected the hotel seeing that it does cater to vegetarian. Coffee was awesome. As I was not well asked for banana for my breakfast.... They could not arrange as it was not in their menu. So my point is staff is not helpful.I also find them rude.... Because the first evening when we were trying to get familiar to the place..... We tried to ask in reception the way to a restaurant and the staff very rudely answered us to wait. You might be having lot of check in but you cannot be rude as you are in service sector.

Good breakfast selection of food catering for all tastes. Lovely pool by beach - not too crowded (July is off season though). Good Aromatherapy message at Majesty Spa. Staff very friendly and work hard to be so helpful. Great location near shops, bank, great eating places. Will stay again.

The bed smelled like vomit. I never want to have to sleep on the smell of someone else’s vomit again. Yuk! We arrived when it was raining and the walkways were incorrectly marked so ran through twice as much rain as we needed to back and forth trying to figure out where to go. When tile is wet any hair shows up. Hair everywhere! Sweep the halls and walkways guys. We booked an ocean view room and got a back of a building room. Reception tried to argue that with me for a while before going to check and came back and admitted their mistake. Next day we ended up SOOOO sick. About an hour or two after breakfast it just suddenly came on and we could barely get back to the resort on our scooters. One of us ended up having to go to the clinic to get an IV because he threw up so much and so fast. Mentioned it to reception but they suddenly could not understand any English. But offered a free ride to clinic. Too late we had already spent hours there. Groundsmen did a great job. Pool was nice. Resort is divided by the main road so if you want to be on the beach side specifically then make sure you book the right room.

All 4 of us got food poisoning the day we left.

Driving home I was hit with chills, vomiting and diahreah. Had to stop in Klaeng for the night. 2am my 6 year old son came down with the same symptoms. By 8am we were all sick. Must have been the food or a food preparers dirty hands we did not eat anywhere else.

Go for the beachside rooms...Amazing Breakfast

Stayed here twice now, once in one of the hillside rooms, and once in one the beachside rooms. Very glad I stayed in the beachside rooms this time, as the hillside swimming pool decking is very dangerous, rusty nails sticking out and broken bits of wood, some parts are cordoned off, some parts the wooden planks have snapped in half. The beachside is newly built, wifi is patchy, reception said not guaranteed in the rooms. Breakfast is wonderful, must of gained a few pounds, asian style choice rice soup, curries,etc, western style, fried eggs,omelettes,pancakes, no real decent sausages in Thailand they make do with hotdog style ones. Overall I will stay again, lovely location, food stalls just outside the hotel after 5pm, but they really need to replace all the sunbeds and wooden decking asap, preferably using something other than wood.

Great Beachfront Location

I have stayed at the Kacha Resort many times over the past 15 years. This is the first visit since they completed their expansion and remodeling project. The hotel is divided into two sections on either side of the main road in White Sands beach (beachfront and mountainside). There are 2 very large swimming pools. The beach side has a beachfront infinity pool over looking the ocean. Both are great for relaxing, lots of lounge chairs, umbrellas, swim-up bar and comprehensive food service. Nice tropical gardens. We stayed in a deluxe ocean view room. The room was a little dated, but the bathroom has been updated with separate walk-in shower and bath-tub. The room, bathroom and balcony are all large. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and quiet. There were a few minor maintenance issues which should have been identified by their housekeeping staff prior to our arrival, but upon notice they were promptly fixed. The buffet breakfast was just fair, sufficient to start the day, but not worth it if it is not included in your room price. WiFi only works around the pool, lobby and restaurants. Good resort location for families - lots of kids running around. In the past it has been mostly visited by individuals, but this last trip since their expansion, there were a few large Chinese tour groups which notably changed the tranquil atmosphere. We usually visit during low season, so we find it a good value.

Reserved 2 rooms for 6 months and try to give us rooms not next to each other. I have to complain in order to get the rooms next to each other. The housekeepers also don't refill stuff once used. The breakfast is ok but utensils and cloth mats are dirty. They flip the cloth mats to the back side once used, not clean and very disappointing!

Hotel property is split into 3 sections: Hillside, New beachside, old beachside. Renovated rooms seem nice enough. We were placed into a non-renovated room. Since this was our first trip to the island we were not aware of the separation of rooms. We were not informed via website or front desk. We were placed in an older beachside room (on the beach side of the street not on the sand) with no view and by the main street. We had booked a room with a hillside view. The older room goes without saying, it needs to be renovated which they are doing.

Check-in was a bit painful since they required a physical print out of the Expedia booking (I have been using Expedia for years and this was the first time ever asked for this). I had to email a copy via phone to check in. I was also asked to sign a construction noise advisory letter that waived my right to a refund due to any construction noise. This was required to be signed at check-in.

Check out was better.

Being Christmas time, details on the rooms and the property were important and needed to be given so we could make the best decisions for our vacation.

The price quality is superb. Perfect Location at the beach with a nice pool located right next to the beach. The beach is a bit small and is not as clean as i would like but overall acceptable. The room was getting a bit outdated but was very good maintained and cleam and the bathroom was updated and modern and with Bath. I would certainly book it again in the future if the occasion is there. Despite what the website says there is no WIFI in the room but only in the Reception area.

In the middle of the village, close to beach (just one step away from pool :)), close to restaurants and shops.
Although hotel staff knew little English. For example in a poolbar it was quite hard to explain what I want coz lady over there just did'nt understand. Started to call somewhere and then some other worker came who knew a bit more English.

We were staying on hillside.
The room was good. Cleanliness in hotel overall was good. Swimming pools were kept tidy.
Internet in hotel was very poor and most of the times did not work at all.
Hillside reception staff was extremely unprofessional. When we arrived, tap in the bathroom was leaking on the floor, it was very dangerous as it made tiles very slippy. Reported this to reception every day, eventually after 4 days they sent real plumber and the problem was solved.
At the end of our holiday, we wanted to book a transfer from hotel to Trat airport, the manageress at reception requested to provide her our previous flight's boarding passes (obviously, we threw them out as they were no longer needed). When she found out that we do not have them, she refused to help us out and told us to go somewhere else, despite that we provided her flight tickets. So after this we went to Bangkok Airways office and transfer was arranged in 3 minutes.
The day before our check out we went to reception to find out how much will it cost us to stay extra 3 hours in the room. Staff member said it will cost us 200 BHT an hour. When we came next day to pay that money, we found out that price jumped up to 300 BHT an hour. So instead of 3 hours, we took only 2.
Phone did not work in our room. Reported to reception, they said that they are aware of it and that's it- nothing will be changed.

The resort had everything you

The resort had everything you needed and was close to all the shops and features of Koh Chang. All the staff spoke English, and the service was fabulous. We received two free bottles of water each day and the buffet breakfast was ample and fabulous. Our room was on the hillside. To be honest, you probably want to stay on the beach side, but it was just a walk across the road to the beach so it didn't set us back too much. The rooms were clean (though not serviced until late afternoon).
The hotel is situated in the middle of a busy strip. This did not mean we incurred any noise whatsoever (and we were on the ground floor), but it did mean that we had shops and massages on our doorstep, which made things even better! All in all, a decent hotel.

Ligger i slutet av stranden, och stranden utanför hotellet är stenig så man får gå förbi/via hotellet och in på stranden. Finns flera restauranger precis bredvid hotellet på stranden och ännu fler högre upp. Precis utanför hotellet finns en matmarknad öppen fr 17.00 som är jättebra. Assistans/vakt vid övergångsstället 24/7 vilket verkligen uppskattades då vi reser med barn. Läget på hotellet är kanon, finns även massa restauranger och butiker på huvudgatan som är nära. Hotellet är uppdelat i två delar; hill och sea. Båda trevliga och har pooler för både vuxna och barn. Kids club och gym ligger vid hill och restaurangen vid sea. Trevlig personal och bra mat. Enda nackdelen var att enda pålägget på frukosten var marmelad samt att utemöblerna på balkongen saknade dynor och var superhårda att sitta på.

Stayed here for one night and chose the Deluxe Villa Sea View. Beautiful room and great view. The staff were kind and welcoming. Great breakfast and great restaurant overall. The pool area was very nice as well. The pool was not heated and that was great since the air temperature was hot! Lovely hotel, great location at White Sand Beach. We would love to come back!

rigtigt dejligt hotel og fine værelser. det mærkes dog at de stadig er ramt af manglende turister i byen hvor mange butikker stadig er lukket ned. Stranden var ikke til at bruge ( nok pga årstiden ) vandet var som vesterhavet og der var rødt flag. vi måtte tage derfra allerede efter 5 nætter pga vejret - ikke godt i regntiden - men Koh Chang virker som en skøn ø der må udforskes på et andet tidspunkt

Perfect place to stay in White Sand Beach.
Close to night food marked, bars, restaurants, massage, shops, etc.
Nice room, nice pools and spa.
Beach is pretty good.
Restaurant is nice with good food.
Breakfast is almost top ten, if they could add cheese and bacon, it would be perfect.
Fitness room is average. Tread mills screams after mantainance. So do the rest of the equipment.
All in all a very nice place to stay.

Dejligt ophold på godt hotel. Fin morgenmadsbuffet, mangler dog ost, som altid i Thailand.
Venligt personale. Og rigtige hjælpsomme ved poolen på bjergsiden. Har ikke erfaringer fra den andrn side.
Havde bedt om sammenhængende værelser, men fik det ikke, trods hotellet ikke var fuldt belagt.

Brædderne omkring poolen trænger til renovering.

Kärleksresa på Koh Chang

Kanonfrukost på hotellet. Hotellet hade 2st pooler. 1 vid havet där var det oftast fullt med folk redan vid frukost. Sen hade dom 1 till vid hillside och där var det bara en handfull personer som nyttjade poolen. Stor rymligt rum med balkong som hade utsikt ut mot poolen. När vi var där var det ingen strand framme under dagarna utan man fick gå ca 25 meter till höger för att få sandstrand.

Nous sommes arrivee a 8h00 et surprise notre chambres etait deja prete! Due a une erreur de reservation la chambres etait avec 2 lits pas terrible pour un couple... A la reception il nous a ete de Suite propose une autre chambres avec un lit double. Suite a une nuit un peu gache par des voisin un peu trop fetard il nous a ete de suite propose une chambre plus grande et magnifique.
Le service est exeptionel l emplacement est parfait le petit dejeuner tres varier la piscine superbe
Je recomande fortement cet hotel

Det findes hyggeligere og bedre hoteller på øen.

Det var et ganske fint hotel - dog dyrt i forhold til hvad man fik for pengene.

Der var ikke den store velkomst da vi ankom som vi ellers var blevet vant til i Thailand. Serviceniveauet under hele opholdet var ok - ikke særlig dårligt, men heller ikke særlig godt.

Dog kom de med frugt ned på værelserne hver dag ved 15-16-tiden - det er guld værd når man har en lille pige på 2,5 år med.

Hotellets egen restaurant var relativ dyr, men det var rigtig god mad, så vi spiste der to gange.

Hotellets fitness center var småt og gammelt, men det var fint til en times ferietræning to gange.

Værelset vi fik anvist lå rigtig nok med havudsigt og let adgang til poolen som vi havde ønsket - dog lå det lige lovligt tæt på. Vi var bogstaveligt talt en meter fra poolen også havde absolut intet privatliv og der var meget larm. Selve værelset var ret lille, men pænt og rent og så var badeværelset var enormt stort.

Gæstsammensætningen på hotellet bestod primært af store selskaber af kinesere og så en del vestlige par, og så en en del ældre vestlige mænd med “dates”. Vi havde tidligere boet på et hotel længere syd på ø, hvor det ikke var tilfældet og det var et rarere sted at være.

Alt i alt var det et fint ophold, men vi ville ikke vælge dette hotel igen.

Jättefint, passar bra med barn.

Jättefint hotellkomplex med pool både på övre och nedre sidan av vägen.
Bra läge.
Stenig botten rakt framför poolen, men jättefin botten framför restaurangen.
Ganska dyrt i restaurangerna och poolbarerna.

Första rummet vi fick luktade starkt mögel, efter 3e dagen med svårt att andas och hosta bad vi att få byta rum. Nya rummet luktade bättre men på kvällen ser vi att det är invaderat av små myror, och nu pratar vi inte tiotal utan hundratals, i väskan på golvet sängen borden överallt. Fick byta rum ännu en gång. Här började magsjukan, först sambon och sedan jag. Kollat med andra gäster som även de fått magsjuka och verkar vara ett stort problem för detta hotell. Flera dagar har gått och min magsjuka håller i sig, rekommenderar inte detta hotell.

수영장이 깨끗해서 좋아요

룸은 오래된 느낌이 조금 나긴하는데 그냥저냥 좋았어요. 처음에 배정받은 방에 메인 도어가 심하게 떠있어서 벌레 다들어 올것 같아서 방을 바꿨어요 조금 오래되긴 한것 같아서 수리가 필요할 것 같아요.
수영장 물이 너무 차갑긴 하지만 물관리를 잘하고 있어서 깨끗해서 좋았어요. 조식은 맛있었고 호텔 레스토랑은 가격이 좀 사악하네요
