The property condition is average and the grounds are not kept in good condition. We used the gym and found the machine weights in a dangerous condition. I had to tighten alot of the bolts by hand. The swimming pool area was not clean around the deck chairs. There was nothing near by walking distance. The main area white sand beach has only a few transfers and last pick up was too early (7pm), I would recommend a late pick off around 9pm. Could be a nice hotel if the grounds and facilities and local transport links were improved !

Complex is situated in a nice seaside location but unfortunately in a quite remote area which leaves you with limited options for dining and activities. One should consider shuttle expense to commute between city and or scooter rent (which is available at the hotel).
We were lucky and got loud neighbors twice. First time managed to upgrade to seaside villa with extra payment (staff let us choose between 3 options, what was nice). NB! This stay at huge villa definitely raised the rating at least 2 stars (because first room was not nice at all). Second time luckily someone told the party gang to move further to the beach.

As hotel is in the north the climate is more cooler than in the south. Warmer clothing in the morning and evening time was handy.

Main problem for us was that compared to other hotels and places in Thailand the hotel staff was not very friendly and seemed kind of tense all the time. That left us as clients the feeling of not being very welcome at the place.

Overall, considering the 30-50% higher prices in Aiyapura Resort, compared to the Koh Chang accommodation prices and experience we got - it was not value for the money we paid.

Beautiful property, beautiful Thai style units, nice balcony, great view, we had pool, garden view, was fantastic.
Breakfast included, great variety, fresh, fancy coffee available. Staff very friendly.
The resort is a bit older looking, but kept well and nice.

Very well presented hotel, rooms are good size, the grounds are very well maintained. Good swimming pool...and scenic walks.
The location lets it down, its isolated and a long way from the to white sands beach area. We were here 2 nights, had I booked longer I think in all probability I would have checked out early.

This property has a lot of potential. Unfortunately a lot of the gardens are over grown and the facilities not well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the view of the beach is amazing. Our shower did not work on arrival but was quickly fixed by maintenance.

A little tired hotel.. it is quit and realaxing, but pretty old. Everything is old and looks so... starting from old stile small TV in the room and finishing with the pool, chairs.. everything. Also you have to walk up and down the hill, pretty expensive restaurant on the beach with okey food, not like it’s goid, it’s okey.. and there are nicer beaches and nicer properties on Koh Chang.. also it is more then 2km away from the main road.. pretty far from everything... it is okey.. but can’t give it more then 3 points... there are more convenient located and better options in my opinion.. it’s Ok though.. the views are beautiful.

Very disappointed. Be careful of room allocation

Sold as an upmarket beach hotel the marketing photos look great when I booked however we were given a tired small budget room at the end of the complex that had no bearing on the advertised rooms. Room was dark, bulb missing in ceiling light. Brown painted walls and dark old furniture. TV was old type with a poor quality picture.

Bathroom had shower hose over the bath But bracket to hold the rose was 3ft above an old bath with dirty brown grout. The water was not hot and poor water pressure too Needless to say I gave the shower and bath a miss.

Main reception was nice and staff helpful, pool are and beachfront nice and restaurant was smart with a nice breakfast.

Overall our room was not as advertised so disappointed especially at the cost. It was advertised as 4 star hotel and we had a 2 star room. Maybe the rooms advertised are nice but the budget block is not mentioned.

The place is dog friendly and my dog enjoyed it very much, specially playing with Mr. Alex, the bellman, what a great smile he has. We will be back.

Hotel and reception staff excellent.
Restaurant was a let down as service was slow and the meal I ordered was different on each night . The first nights meal was as expected but though the same meal was ordered there was less vegetables the presentation was not as good as was not as shown in the menu. My girlfriends meal was as shown but was served slowly and not as the same time . The staff made the excuse they were busy but there were only about 5 other people eating in the restaurant at that time.

One of the best

To be honest other Thai island looks more suitable for me. Koh Lanta is more quiet, Koh Samui is more chic, north Koh Phangan is more serenity. I'm not a big fan of Koh Chang but this hotel is one of the best: private harbour with private beach (good for swimming morning and day time), big, very well designed and maintained hotel area. Nice restaurants, helpful staff, free shuttles two time per day to White Sand Beach and small village nearby with nice Orthodox chirch. Rooms (villas) looks pretty old designed but nice too. Overall - good for relax.

Overall, a good place to stay, especially for kids

We enjoyed the quiet, away from the excitement of White Sand beach. The view is magnificent, but the bay itself is not great for swimming. The water tends to be brackish, so we recommend Lonely Beach. It can be reached by taxi for 100 B per person, in about 20 minutes. However, the Aiyapura pool is marvellously well maintained and great to swim in. They have a gym and a few beach side play sites for younger children.
The Aiyapura is very clean and in fairly good condition (some rotten wood on the steps, some outdoor lights that need new bulbs). The food is overpriced, and not fantastic. For example, why are they charging 150 B for a fruit shake? Even an upscale restaurant charges only 60 B, and a roadside shake is 30 B. Their free breakfast provides lovely local food, and poor western food. And their coffee is dreadful! They also miss a lot of opportunities to provide activities for guests, although they do have kayaks and mountain bikes for free borrowing. They could do a better job of guiding guests to outside activities (where they could probably benefit themselves as well). Actually, they appear to be fairly clueless about what is available on the greater island.
All in all, we would return: the lovely room, great pool and peaceful atmosphere were very much appreciated. We would know in advance to eat and seek beaches elsewhere. I didn't see another place along the beach as nice to stay at as this, even it were closer to the beach.

We wanted a quiet getaway in a nice setting and Aiyapura was perfect. From the restful front porch of the beachfront bungalow the viwe was spectacular. The resort is in a somewhat isolated location, so if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of tourists and souvenire then this is not the spot. The resort has a free shuttle service to White Sands if guests want to shop or dine out. The chef was amazing. Thai food was great as was European. The tuna steak was out of this world. It is a large resort so you can do plenty of walking,jogging,etc. There are also golf carts at your service if you don't wish to walk. Will definitely return to Aiyapura.

Quiet and comfortable, with private beach

The resort has different levels of accommodation, ranging from two-star to probably five-star (though I didn't see other rooms). I was in the cheapest room and it was still quite nice. The bathtub needed a bit of refinishing (loose fixtures), but the room was otherwise clean and had balcony overlooking the bay. The shared resort facilities and private beach are what make this resort. The beach is hand-cleaned regularly (daily?).

great hotel on a remote part of the island quiet and peaceful amenities were great spa fantastic staff great manager nice guy would go back and kick back relaxeing the only draw back was the consistancy of the coctails a bit pricy and i would recomment them to get in touch with kool mix a thailand based company and order the pre made concentrated fresh fruit assormtments of coctails for there bar and complimentry drink when the guest arrives the brekfest was a bit slim could have been more plush the overall value was good highly recommened to stay the singer in the restaruant at night was a plus as well bring you r own dvds

Overall was a good stay. In between the pier and white sand so location is good. However not on the main beach so about 15 mins drive to White sands through some steep roads. Booked a garden villa which was spacious and had a tub (however the tub's stopper wasn't working). Room service was a little slow but you would expect that in big resorts (+ whats the real hurry if you are on vacation). Enjoyed my break except for the super long wait to get on the pier (Both times).

Great location, just 10 mins away from town so very quiet and peaceful. However, the free shuttle finishes at 7 pm which was very disappointing and earlier than I've ever come across.

The food in the restaurant is good and reasonably priced, although obviously more expensive than town.

The spa is worth a visit.

The towels are not ready in the morning until about 11 am which was rather frustrating - they obviously need to buy more!

Beautiful Quiet Resort

My husband and I booked the room at FuramaXclusive Resort Aiyapura on Koh Chang for 1 night because we were not sure how much we would enjoy the island and the resort. The resort and island turned out to be really nice and impressive. There were peacocks walking around. The place is quite well maintained and quiet. We got to see the fire show at the resort while we were swimming in the pool next to the ocean! Even though the room was quite nice, we thought it could be a bit more clean for being a 5-star hotel. We would go back!

This resort is perfect if you just want to relax and get away from it all. Compared to a lot of the other \"resorts\" we passed by there's no comparison. It's not far from White Sand Beach but you still need to take the shuttle. I can't speak for the smaller rooms but the villas are perfect if you don't want too many other people around. The villas also have a very nice jacuzzi tub but I will warn that there wasn't much in the way of hot water. I would definitely recommend taking half of a day for a spa treatment.

This hotel is gorgeous, however, there's a lot of things that need improvement; their jacuzzi was not working, their website says that they offer yoga however, when I asked about it they said that it was only available one day that week, and it was at 8:30 in the morning. So, I told the hotel staff that I would think about it. Later on that evening, I actually ran into the yoga instructor, and after talking for 2 minutes she said that I probably knew more than her about yoga( mind you I have only been practicing for 2 yrs.) That said, I chose not to do it. The next morning, we decided to book an elephant trek with the hotel, and was told to meet at 11:00 am in front of the hotel. We got ready, and showed up at 11:00 all for them to tell us that they weren't doing the trek today. Ugh. Enough said, we left and stayed at a much cheaper hotel on white sand beach and had a blast!

STAY AWAY FROM AIYAPURA!

After reviewing a number of options on Koh Chang for our honeymoon we opted for the Aiyapura. The first thing you should know about this hotel is that it is rather isolated. We found some taxis that hardly want to take you there. On the night we arrived the \"ocean view\" room we had reserved was not what we were offered. Yes, it was during the Thai New Year, but they offered no solutions other than to say they were \"very busy.\" The rooms were not all that clean and the towels and other amenities were not even close to the standard of a four-star hotel and the walls seemed stained/dirty and the bathroom was not clean (especially under the sink). The next day the hotel pool appeared a sickening color of green. Oh joy! A sign stated they were cleaning the pool for the entire day. What? Why would they choose to do this during such a busy time? And why did they let the pool get so dirty that it was green before posting a note that they intended to clean it (they never did by the way)? The buffet breakfast was horrible, drinks ordered at the bar took an inordinate amount of time. When we talked to the hotel staff and managment about a refund they gave us the runaround and the General Manager was uncooperative and dishonest in dealing with us and Expedia representatives regarding a refund. We ended up leaving after 2 nights and stayed at another resort (a fastastic experience in contrast to Aiyapura).

This is the place you go for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Do not expect any partying, but excellent food, your own beach, nice walking areas and a great spa. There are no shopping areas around. I will come back when opportunities arise!

Un hôtel qui ne mérite sûrement pas ses 4 étoiles !
Manque total d’entretien des équipements et espaces communs : gravats, ancien matériel cassé et abandonné, carrelage cassé (lobby, restaurant), sièges rafistolés et sales au restaurant …
L’état général de l’hôtel est épouvantable.
Tout cela est bien dommage car l’endroit est calme et les bungalows sont plutôt agréables

Beliggenheden var god,et stille område,flot natur.. Men langt fra shoppe muligheder,så man er afhængig af bil eller scooter/motorcykel.
Stranden så pæn ud,men meget lav vandet,og en ubehagelig svampetbund.
Det værelse vi fik,var i dårlig stand,trængte virkelig til renovering. Håndtaget til toilet virkede ikke ordenligt, så vandet løb tit når man havde trukket,proppen til håndvasken,var der hul i,så man ikke kunne fylde håndvasken. Adgangsvej til barakken, var dårlig,decideret farlig når det havde regnet..
Rengøringen var dårlig, en dag hvor der ikke var lagt betræk på hovedpude,lå bare på stolen,ikke vasket service af bare ladet det stå,ikke rengjort badekar eller håndvask,eller fejet ordentligt.
Men en god morgenmad buffet.
Tag det for det flotte beliggenhed, og roen. Og hvis du kan nøjes med poolen.
Og hbis du lejer bil eller scooter, ligger det godt i forhold til at kørerundt på øen. Da det ligger midt på den vej der kører på hver side af øen.

Fantastisk sted på kho chang. Men det nangler litt på maten og på renholdet det er veldig mye påfuler der og de legger jo litt igjen etter seg. Ikke noe gøy å måtte passe på hele tiden hvor man setter føttene. Og det ligger litt øde i forhold til service tilbudene rundt. Men husk å lei en scooter så kommer man seg litt rundt å få sett litt. Det er billig å leie på hotelet

Was soll ich sagen? Fangen wir beim Frühstück an, da war Personal und es hab 4 verschiedene Kleidungen und die meisten waren bekleckert, durchgeschwitzt, nicht schön. So wurde natürlich auch darauf geachtet, ob es sauber ist , egal wo, natürlich nicht! Die Tische draußen wurden nicht eingedeckt, warum auch immer, obwohl fast alle draußen essen wollten. Es gab 2 kaffeevollautomaten, wie ich sie zu Hause habe für 2 Personen, d.h., es musste ständig Wasser aufgekippt werden, Bohnen nachgelegt werden oder der Behälter geleert werden. Bei einer Anlage dieser Größe kann man sich ja in etwa vorstellen was da los ist...
Den halben Bungalow den wir bekamen mit Aufpreis ( nachdem ich in dem 1. Zimmer es keine 2 min ausgehalten habe ), war alt, wie alles in der Anlage. Alt ist ja nicht schlimm, aber pflegen und putzen und renovieren kann man aber und das wird dort nirgendwo gemacht. Ich hatte dem Zimmermädchen jeden Tag einen Zettel hingelegt ( 1 Woche lang), sie möge den Badewannen Stöpsel reparieren lassen, damit ich ihn auf bekomme : keine Chance ! Eine Woche lang lag vor der Toilette ein Riesenfussel, naja, wir können uns wohl vorstellen das der nächstes Jahr da noch liegt und ich mich frage ob die Toilette überhaupt jemals geputzt wird. Die Aussendusche hab ich nicht genutzt , sowas ekliges hab ich lange in einem

Hotell som ligger långt från allt. Finns dock shuttle 3 ggr om dagen till White Sand Beach.
Upplevde rummet och restaurangen och hela området som smutsigt. Påtalade att balkongen inte städats, men inget hände på 2 dygn.
Frukost som var ”sådär” , fanns ingen ost, tomaterna var jättesmutsiga.
Området skulle behöva en rejäl uppfräschning och storstädning.
Utsikten var mycket fin och restaurangen vid vattnet hade ett kanonläge. Priserna för höga där om man vet vad som betalas på andra restauranger.

Wir bekamen direkt ein Upgrade mit einen Pool für 3 Bungalows. Leider hatte ich am 1.Tag mein Fuss verletzt. Der Sehr nette Juniorchef brachte mich sofort zum Doc. Essen war grandios und die Angestellten waren so nett. Werde sicher da zurückkehren.

Kan tycka att bilderna av detta hotell är ganska missvisande.
Detta hotell har haft sina glansdagar.
Även dess placeringen, solen går upp väldigt sent och ner väldigt tidigt för att detta ligger bakom ett berg.
Sen finns det i princip ingen strand att tala om och vattnet är mycket mycket grumligt. Detta ställe gör inte koh Chang rättvisa.
Visst, vill man bada på och sitta på sitt rum och dricka öl så är det väl en sak.
Frukosten och personalen var mycket bra däremot.

Da vi tjekkede ind på dette “resort” var det som at rejse tilbage til 1980. Alt er gammelt og slidt. Vi havde booket én villa med 2 soveværelser. Vi fik 2 seperate værelser med en have imellem. Gik ned i receptionen og klagede. Vi fik en anden villa med 2 soveværelser i samme bygning. Alt er slidt og er ikke blevet renoveret eller vedligeholdt. Vi havde problemer med myrer på værelset. Receptionen og personalet kunne ikke gøre noget ved det efter gentagne gange at have klaget over det. Kan ikke anbefale ophold på dette “resort”

Gutes Hotel in Ruhiger Umgebung

Ruhig und abgelegen, allerdings keine weiteren Ausflug Möglichkeiten in der direkten Umgebung. Das Hotel hat einen shuttle nach white sand beach, Rückfahrt nach abendessen nicht mehr mit shuttle möglich bzw mit Taxi. Im Gegensatz zur Erwartung wimmelte es dort nicht von Tierbesitzern (Hunde, Katzen o.ä.). Super FamilyHotel. Die Drinks werden nicht mit „zu viel Alkohol“ gemacht (z.B. ich hatte nach 3 long islands noch nicht viel gespürt, an anderen Orten wäre schon 1 Long Island zu viel für mich). Das Hotel hat für alle etwas: von der sehr einfachen, aber sauberen Unterkunft (mein Fall) Die sehr günstig war, bis zur Luxusunterkunft mit Privatpool. Ich kann es sehr empfehlen!

Fint hotell, lite sämre läge

Fint hotell precis vid havet. Ingen ”fantastisk” strand men en liten sandplätt som det går att bada ifrån vid poolområdet. Stort hotellområde med ett hyfsat bra gym med ac! Gratis kajak och cykel erbjuds vid valfritt tillfälle. Fantastisk frukostbuffé! Minus var att hotellet ligger en bit från resturanger och från white sand beach, så taxi är ett måste. Det går att gå, men dåligt upplysta gator gjorde det lite mindre trevligt.

Hôtel un peu vieillissant mais très bien situé car permettant de faire les 2 côtés de l’île sans allers-retours perte de temps. Accueil chaleureux. Nous sommes restés 2 nuits avec changement de chambre car la première avait une clim faisant un bruit infernal la nuit. Petit déjeuner correct.

Fint og flott resort som absolutt anbefales! Litt avsides fra \"sentrum\" og ligger ca 1 km fra hovedveien. Så vis man vil til andre streder og strender som f eks lonely beach bør en leie moped. Shuttelbus går til White beach gratis. Veldig hyggelig og behjelpelig betjening som snakker greit engelsk. Perfekt plass å være vis man er på utkikk etter et behagelig og rolig sted.

Die Zimmer waren ein Traum, in den Betten schlief man hervorragend. Auch das Bad mit der begehbaren Außendusche war wunderschön.
Die Anlage war gepflegt und sehr schön. Auch das Frühstück war klasse, wer hier nichts findet dem kann man nicht helfen 🙂

Hôtel avec un personnel exceptionnel

Service génial de l’hôtel. Toujours à l’ecoute et sympathique.
Peut mieux faire en terme d’aménagement et d’entretien des chambres. Location isolée mais idéale pour un moment de calme et repos.
Petit déjeuner varié et délicieux.
Des bus pour aller régulièrement dans les endroits les plus animés de l’ile

HONEYMOON. We loved this place. Staff and management was excellent. Service was great. Location is perfect with no traffic or cars. The hotel have own minivans free of charge to and from White Sand Beach. Breakfast was very good. The resort have our best recommendations. We will visit again. Best regards Mr and Mrs Fure.

조용히 휴가를 즐기기엔 위치적인 면에서는 완벽함. 타 리조트 사람없는 완벽한 프라이빗해변에 숙소도 뚝뚝 떨어져있고 방도 넓음. 하지만 아무리 비수기라해도 수영장 관리 아예 안되고. 물 너무 더러움. 룸에서 나오는 수돗물이 얼마나 녹슬었는지 필터 하루에 한번 갈아야 함.... 욕조에 물받으면 색이 아예 녹물임... 샤워도 생수로 하고싶은 마음이었음... 하지만 직원들은 엄청 친절. 화이트비치 가는 셔틀이 하루 3번 있지만,우리빼곤 사용하지않음ㅋ 썽태우가 아닌 벤으로 셔틀이용 가능해서 매연을 먹지않아 그건 너무 좋았음.
무엇때문인지는 모르겠으나 여기서 자면서 허리를 삐끗해서 일주일동안 개고생... ㅜㅠ
어디선가 보았던 엄청 넓은 점프마니아를 보고 이곳을 선택했으니 실상은 바다옆에 있는 지름3미터정도의 원형 트램폴린이 전부임.
체크인시 카약이나 산악자전거 중 하나를 무료로 체험 할 수 있는 티켓을 줌.
레스토랑에 한국말 엄청 자롸시는 직원분 계심. 정말 친절함

ห้องน้ำตอนเช็คอินห้องมาไม่สะอาดเท่าไหรี ผ้าเช็ดตัวมีคราบสกปรกหลงเหลืออยู่ แต่ประทับใจกับพนักงานผู้ให้บริการทุกคนจนไปถึงยามเลยค่ะ ที่พักสงบมีบรรยากาศที่ส่วนตัวมากกกก ถ้ามีโอกาสคิดว่าจะกลับมาอีกค่ะ^^ สระว่ายน้ำและเรือคายักสนุกมากค่ะ อาหารเช้ารสชาติดีมากๆ

Ein genialer Aufenthalt mit tollen Erlebnissen!

Wenn man die Abgeschiedenheit liebt, ist man hier absolut richtig. Wunderschönes, riesiges Resort direkt am Meer gelegen. Alles, was man benötigt, ist vorhanden. Schöne Bungalows (Premium) mit
grosser Terrasse und Top-Aussicht. Restaurant direkt am Meer mit leckeren Gerichten, ob Thai oder
International. Da bei unserem Besuch \"off-season\" ist, nur wenige Zimmer belegt und man hat das ganze Resort für sich alleine. Renovationen werden vorgenommen, Bungalows neu angemalt. Tolle Jogging-Strecke rund um das Resort; wir haben dort jeden Morgen die Strecke mit unseren Hunden zurückgelegt. Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Zum Geburtstag meines Mannes haben wir einen Geburtstags-Kuchen mit dem \"Happy Birthday\" Ständchen bekommen. Super!!

Schönes Hotel.

Wir hatten das große Glück, daß wir fast ganz alleine in der tollen Hotel Anlage waren.
Alles war in Besten Zustand.
Das Haus war sehr schön aufgeteilt.
Die Badezimmer war riesig und mit tollem Naturstein.
Das Hotel ist aus meiner Sicht sehr zu empfehlen.

God beliggenhed

Hotellet er et udemærket ikke-ryger hotel som har en god beliggenhed hvis man vil rundt i Bangkok og som ligger tæt på tre gode store indkøbscentre.
Rengøringsniveau af værelserne er dog kritisabel der bliver skiftet sengelinned og vasket gulv og det er så det. Vi overtog et værelse med en del støv på møblerne og her efter 4 dage er støvet der stadig til trods for daglig \"rengøring\"
Men der til skal siges at hotellets personale er søde og hjælpsomme og at selve hotellet er godt

Mycket bra men lite avsides, bra bad samt fin pool, bra gym trevlig och tillmötesgående personal, bra mat i restaurangen men en aning dyrt! Frukosten var utmärkt, mycket att välja på! Med hyrd scooter underlättar vistelsen, personalen kan hjälpa till med hyra!

Chambre mal entretenue !! Insonorisation lamentable !! Les chambres ont des portes communicantes !! On a l impression de dormir avec le voisin !!! Dommage car l endroit bien qu isolé et proche de tout en scooter !! L endroit est beau mais si l hôtel n est pas entretenue je crains le pire pour les années qui arrivent !! L hôtel à tout pour être bien et pourtant c est une déception !!

Renovierungsbedürftige Anlage in Traumlage

Wir haben ein Upgrade auf die Beachvilla bekommen...super Lage jedoch würde während unseres Aufenthalts gerade an der neuen indoor Trampoline Anlage gebaut und der Lärm störte extrem...insgesamt ist die ganze Anlage renovierungsbedürftig...die Lage in der Bucht ist absolut traumhaft...das check Inn Personal ist sehr träge
