As a B&B, it is near perfect. Lovely house, beautiful big room with sizeable bathroom too. Very warm. Everything needed was there or on a table or in the fridge downstairs for us to access. Such a treat to have fresh milk always available; why don't more places do that? The host, David, is a definite plus, very warm and friendly, and he cooks delicious breakfasts. The man can even do scrambled eggs! We loved it and, although Bere Regis does not have a lot to recommend it, apart from the church, it is a great location for touring southeast Dorset.

The Old Mill is a lovely old building that has been well converted to a b&b. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean and importantly for us, the windows are easily openable.

Bere Regis is a small but well connected village, there are many places of interest within easy reach.

Great place with lots to offer around. Amazing breakfast and great service, we will definitely return in the future. Easy to find and very safe surroundings.
I recommend the restaurant The Royal Oak at Milborne St Andrew for delicious food nearby.

Perfect BnB in the Countryside

A delightful slice of the English country side. The food was Amazing and the Hosts are wonderful. The village were it located is also breathtaking with plenty of nice walking routes. Quiet, cozy and reasonably priced!

Bere Regis stay

Cosy room, comfortable bed. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Good choice of breakfasts especially plentiful full English. Alpacas and chickens on site was nice. A well situated place from which to explore Purbeck area and coastline. Would visit again without question.

Lovely place to stay!

What a lovely spot to stay! Very clean and comfortable rooms in a quiet location. Just a few minutes walk from the local pubs and a 30 minute drive to some excellent walking routes on the coast.
Fresh eggs for breakfast from the hens in the field next door was a bonus!

Beautifully appointed room, the best breakfast I’ve had and the warmest most welcoming hosts. David was very helpful answering all our queries and Lorna equally so on what we must see. I was able to do a small load of laundry which was very much needed. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to family and friends who might visit the area. Thank you David and Lorna for the most two days we had in Dorset.

It was our first time staying here but we enjoyed it so much we have booked for this August.First meeting with David the owner everything was sorted including where to have an evening meal this we used the two nights we stayed .
You always new that if you needed help from from David he was there but you were left alone. Breakfast was some of the best we have ever had in all of the time we have been doing B and B. Normally I do not give a maximum to anybody as there is always room for improvement , not here hence the rating I have given the Old Mill, Bere Regis.

5 stars Delightful, friendly and accommodating

Working locally, at short notice came across the Old Mill whilst searching for somewhere with a twin room. David the host was amazing, friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was delicious, and the shower was great, I will happily return in the future. 5 stars all round.

We went back here as we were heading to Monkey World and some other places in Dorset and this was fairly central. The hosts were lovely and friendly and the breakfast options were great for both myself and my mum who is a vegetarian.

Lovely B&B, perfectly placed for exploring Dorset

What a lovely place - both the accommodation and location!
Nice, big, dual aspect bedroom with comfortable twin beds, coffee/tea making facilities, big en-suite with large, deep bath and shower over. Great little extras such as towels, hairdryer, heater, tower fan, iron, ironing board, extra bedding. The bedroom & en-suite were lovely and warm and we were able to adjust temperature on the radiators.
Breakfast was fantastic and Ian was a great host & cook!! Cereal, granola, yoghurt, milk aplenty plus bread & toaster and fruit juice, and a cooked breakfast and/or porridge and/or fruit salad were also available. We were able to specify exactly what we wanted and it was cooked to perfection, fresh.
Can't fault this place at all!!

Lovely Place to stay if your visiting

Warm Welcome on arrival. Room was clean and Tidy. Bed was comfortable. A short walk to some local pubs. Breakfast was lovely. Porridge was outstanding. And hhe cooked breakfast was fresh and from local produce.

Well sited attractive property. Lovely welcoming hosts. Our room was to a high spec and we have stayed in many a hotel room which did not match up to this. The bathroom was superior to most with nice touches throughout. A lot of thought has gone into the comfort of the guests. A small thing I know but it was also great to find hooks at the back of doors! Good choice at breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again.

The excellent old mill

The old mill was an excellent choice. Lorna was on her own as hubby was off round France but nothing was to much trouble for her. Breakfast was very good, plenty of it and tasted great. Room was big and everything we needed was there and top up every day. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Great B&B in Bere Regis

A lovely B&B that is a short drive from Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was great.
The owners were very nice and even introduced us to the resident alpacas!

We booked about an hour before we arrived and we received a call from the owner David who was in France. He wanted to ensure that we could find the place as it was already night time and he informed us that his parents were already on the way to the Old Mill to settle us in. It was a wonderfiul start to our short but thoroughly memorable one night stay at a very unique building.

When we met David's parents at the Old Mill, they welcomed us as if we were old friends, even though my wife and i were from Singapore and have never being to Dorset.

Very quickly we discovered that the room was equipped with what we normally get in internationally hotels.

Beyond the very comfortable beds, with bedside lights and drawers, there were bathrobes, thick bath and face towels, additional pillows and duvets, sofa chairs, designer bath tub in a huge bathroom, branded toiletries, LED TV, coffee/tea with electric kettle and Scottish biscuits which we fell in love with.

There were ample extension cords to charge our phones and computers and which hotels normally do not provide. Wifi was strong. They even provided a folder with helpful info on where to go for good dinner and what to do in the area.

Breakfast selection was just unexpected. We selected what we wanted the night before and David's parents freshly cooked for us the following morning. They also provided a selection of juices, cereal, bread and spread.

We must thank Ian (David's father) for hosting us like we were old friends.

Lovely old mill building.

This old mill has been refurbished to a very high standard. It is very welcoming and comfortable, and David and Lorna provide excellent accommodation and value for money. The breakfasts are superb and certainly prepare you for the day ahead. My wife and I would definitely recommended this excellent bed and breakfast establishment to everyone, and would definitely return here when next in the area.

Lovely visit.

We stayed for 2 nights as we came to visit monkey World.
Very warm welcome from the owners and their lovely dog. Very nice rooms and a fantastic breakfast, I'm vegetarian and was presently surprised by the breakfast options.
The only downside was the road noise but it we would definitely stay again.
