Nice location, no phone signal. Unfortunately our room had a leak in the bathroom, so it has a very wet floor most of the stay. The bed was comfortable and the host was friendly & helpful, but the room was not very clean, with dust & cobwebs all over. The shower hose was encrusted which wasn’t very appealing.

We did not eat there, so cannot comment on the food, but the room TV was not working either, as the box was not tuned in, as per the photograph. An interesting note was that there was no way to lock our room door, which is different!

Overall it was ok, but probably wouldn’t stay again.

Says bed and breakfast but breakfast very limited £10 each per day for fried breakfast a bit on the expensive side, No WiFi and no phone signal.and not worth the £130 a day

Tankfest stay

It’s out in the country, so stop for snacks first. Some nice walking paths and beautiful surroundings. Rod is a good host. 20+/- minutes to tank museum and south coast.

We had the family suite . The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent and Rod was a lovely bloke, very friendly and welcoming. His cooked breakfast was outstanding and set us up for the day at Tankfest. Would recommend this place.

Highly recommend

Place was lovely, comfortable and clean. Host was very lovely, unfortunately we didn't get to try out any of the breakfast that was available as we don't really do breakfast.

Area was so quiet, hardly any network coverage which was lovely as didn't have to worry about phones keep going off. Was the perfect way to switch off to the outside world. Would highly recommend

Overall it was a great experience for us and the kids, they loved the bunk bed and the whole experience seeing the horses around, the sheeps. The house was nice and spacious, the garden is very big also, the only negative thing for us that we were not allowed in the kitchen, i wanted to make for kids breakfast as we don t usually eat so early, but we ve been told at the arrival that we re not allowed to use the kitchen). The rest was just what we wanted and we enjoyed.
Lulworth cove and durdle door were so close, 10 mins drive which is perfect. Thanks again

Traditional farmhouse B and B

Belhuish Farm is a proper \"farmhouse\" B and B. The building is very old - The history is provided, and the location is perfect for those who want to escape the rat race and commercialism.
Breakfast was yummy and there is a wide choice.
Rod Miller is an excellent host - well travelled, a very interesting person to speak to and showed exemplary kindness.
You are made to feel welcome, not just by Rod but other family members and cat.
The location is gorgeous and very peaceful.

Lovely old farmhouse

We had a wonderful stay in this old farm house. Down in a valley between 4 hills it gave us time out from the rush of daily life. Ron was welcoming and happy to accommodate us.

Absolutely amazing stay in a gorgeous setting. I can't recommend the Belhuish Farmhouse enough! The location is perfect for many attractions and helps add a relaxing setting to any trip. 100% will be recommending to any friends and family that we have coming out this way.

A two night relaxing stay in a beautiful location. The cottage had a wonderful feel and had everything we needed.
Lots to see locally, the cottage was a great base.
We are already planning our next visit.
Rod, you were a wonderful host!
We highly recommend the walk to Lulworth from the cottage, it’s worth it!

The perfect base for exploring the Jurassic Coast

We had a great stay at Belhuish Farmhouse. The location was perfect for exploring the Jurassic Coast. The historic farmhouse was in a beautiful setting and we really enjoyed chatting with the owner and learning about the local area over our (delicious) breakfasts! One extra perk was the great water pressure in the shower after a big hike :-)

Family Dorset Break

A beautiful, rural B&B with plenty of countryside charm. Rod is an excellent host who makes a great English breakfast (& coffee) & made our family feel very welcome. The location is great for local walks & wildlife, & only a short drive to local amenities in Wool. Perfect for visits to Lulworth Cove & the rest of the Jurassic Coast. Our room was spacious enough for 4 (2x adults, & 2 young children) and well cleaned inc. very fresh smelling sheets/cosy bed. Great value. Pleasure meeting you, Rod!

Rod is a very kind host. We arrived late (aprox. midnight), but he had prepared our room.
The farmhouse and its garden were breathtaking. The room was comfortable and clean. The shared bathroom is well equipped, in which modern and old styles are mixed. We loved being here.
We recommend this accommodation for everyone, who likes to rest peacefully.

the location is brilliant lots of walks around and 6-7 mins drive to lurworth cove and 10 mins to nearest town for shops. Rod the host is a retired thatcher and full of interesting stories to tell at breakfast time. you have to pay for cooked breakfast but the included cereals and bread from local bakery were just nice enough.

Excellent host-Rod entertained us with anecdotes and lots of local knowledge on places to visit. He has top sense of humour and definitely very welcoming. The surroundings are serene and beautiful.
Regarding cleanliness...there were lots of visible cobwebs around the corners of the rooms and walls..it is a pity as it is the only thing that needs attention however I canwsit to go again !

We stayed to visit Bovington Tank museum, though traffic caused us to arrive very late, Rod (the host) we on hand, happy and helpful when we finally arrived.

It feels more like visiting an old family member than staying in a B&B.

Very personal experience and a pleasure to stay, especially over breakfast.

This accommodation is a wonderful alternative to characterless hotels. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast came with the lovely surprise of having it in a traditional farmhouse kitchen. The delicious food was complemented by the warm, homely ambience as well as the interesting chats with Rod about history, local places and also his adventures abroad.

Well Belhuish Farmhouse was very pleasant relaxing and enjoyable on the whole, a bit rustic so might not be to everyones taste, as slightly out the way but thats part of the charm and the farm house has that in spades, If you drive its no issue. The Farmhouse still looks and feels like you could be anywhere in time, from today or back 20-30 years. Rod the host is a very nice straight up fella and does a smashing poached egg on toast. My partner and I had a great time visiting various places that are within a short drive away, which for us meant cabs as we don't drive (Dorset bus services being a bit variable and not cheap) Still all attractions can be reached and cab drivers are friendly lot and not too costly and the Jurassic coast the scenery is beautiful (Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove especially) definitely worth it, do the coastal path walk.
Lots of rural pubs that serve nice food and drink fairly local in Wool and Lulworth providing a friendly atmosphere in fact everywhere we visited; Lulworth castle, Monkey World Tank Museum all had the nicest most helpful people and the farmhouse is great place to go back to after the days visits to relax in a quiet tranquil country setting, sitting in the garden (with a beer) with just the noise of nearby sheep, cows, songbirds and a few chickens Rod has about the farmhouse, in a few words, the Farmhouse is friendly, pleasant, quiet, relaxing and enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a break from city life.
