Had a wonderful time here. Really helpful friendly host. Nice electric shower with plenty of warm water each day. TV and tea/coffee making facilities together. Had the first floor which gave a nice outlook over the street. I walked into Weymouth centre each day. Just a street away is a beach. There is a handy corner shop further up on the street. Was quiet the majority of the time so I thankfully got some sleep. Would definitely stay again!

This is my second visit to gleneagles and another great experience.Neil was a great host. My room was clean and had everything I needed. The accommodation offered everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Situated very close to the beach front and town centre. I will be returning for a third time next year.

I really enjoyed my stay! The property was great, although with the beach right around the corner I did not spend much time in the room. I would definitely stay again, it was very safe and quiet (which is an absolute must for a solo traveller).

As a Solo traveller, this was spot on! Only needed a single bed, somewhere to crash for a couple of nights! Was spot on! Neil was welcoming and friendly, took care of my parking, helped me to his room and showed me all the facilities. TV, Wifi, shaving mirror, shower, comfy bed and duvet, tea/coffee, hairdryer, kettle... the lot! Access was easy with keys and codes, and 30metres walk to the beach and the main strip! Hope to stay again, next time when there's some sun! Thank you Neil!

Fine for a short budget stay. Never been somewhere before where they move your bags/clothes off the floor into the wardrobe. Felt a little weird about people moving my clothes. Since this my husband's watch has gone missing, hoping he's just mislaid it somewhere else.

Narrow stairs, Some fittings rather flimsy but these are not 5* prices and the whole experince was good. On street parking is a challenge in a very crowded residential area but Neal was very helpful in trying to save a space nearby. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Excellent location. Friendly host. We were given a parking pass for the surrounding streets and we didn't have a problem. But I can imagine it can be pretty packed in the school holidays when everywhere is fully booked. The breakfast was hot and well presented, but it was spoilt by the very bad quality sausage and not enough toast to eat with marmalade, if used with main breakfast. But maybe we should have asked for more. The rooms are dated, but clean. Although we did find small things that could be improved on. Eg the kettle in the room still had water in it and needed descaling. The wardrobe wasn't high enough to hang clothes, but I was able to hang items on the door.The plughole and fitments were a bit rusty. There was dust behind the TV However, this would not put me off returning if in the area, as the price was good and the good points outweighed the bad. Weymouth is a beautiful place.

I found that the gentleman that works there has really good people skills and that I would go back there again. The room is average, bathroom sink was a bit dirty when we arrived but other than that it's all good. Very close to the beach aswel.

Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Limited hanging space for clothes, wasn't an issue for us on this visit however if we were attending a wedding for example could be a problem.

Really warm and friendly greeting on arrival, extremely helpful on any queries we had, lovely clean room with all necessary facilities, beautiful breakfast, and only a 5 minute walk from the beach.

Cosy B&B near the beach
We were greeted by the friendly owner, Neil when we arrived and given a licence to park. The B&B is just 2 streets from the beach, about a 10 minutes walk away. That’s are where the restaurants are located. Breakfast is providided everyday between 8 and 9am. A classic British fry up was served every morning during our stay. A point to note. Do try to minimise the number of cars that are you taking for a party as in street parking is very limited with the number of visitors in the area.

What you might expect from a seaside B&B. Fairly basic room, but everything worked and it was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast cooked and served by the charismatic owner, Neil. Parking is limited in the vicinity, but Neil lent a resident's permit, so no problems on that score. You could do a lot worse.

The hotel issued parking permits which were a godsend- without them it would have been impossible to park, Neil was very pleasant & helpful. Breakfast was very well presented & delicious. I would prefer a room on the first floor ( I was on the second) but I am sure that this can be arranged if I state my preference in the future. ( I am approaching 70 so climbing the extra stairs was quite tiring). Overall a very good stay.

Close to everything, comfortable long weekend base
On arrival the owner, Neil, had saved us a parking space (this B&B is in a permit zone) The car didn't move until we left as everything was in walking distance. Our room was clean, airy and just right for us, (myself, hubby and 9 year old) Bathroom compact, with lovely power shower. Breakfast was swiftly served every morning and had enough choice to cater our needs. Would recommend to anyone wanting a simple, yet homely place to stay.

Neil couldn't have been better. I was taking part in a local walking challenge and he was up at the crack of dawn to make sure I left with a bacon and sausage sandwich both mornings, it wasn't expected but such a thoughtful touch.

Warm welcome from owners Neil & Jaqueline, & able tp park immediately outside. Basic room/ensuite which was fine.Sleep interrupted by noisy people in the road on several occasions between 12 - 4am, plus gulls & some cars after that.Great location near to beach for early morning swim, and only 12min walk to town centre down the esplanade.Very good breakfast & overall very much enjoyed our stay.

Firstly the landlord waited up so he could introduce himself and carry my heavy bag up two flights of stairs. On the third day, he was able to offer me a larger room for the duration of my stay. The guest house is in an excellent location for Weymouth sea front and just a short walk into two town.

Having stayed in various resorts, villas, apartments etc all over Europe I find that the cost of bed and breakfast in this country is extremely expensive.
I think Weymouth as a whole has big problems, these range from offering a holiday experience that only really suits a very small % of the population to drug and alcohol abuse.
Everything is done on the cheap with the obvious effect on quality of experience.
The hotel was ok, just, but everything from the carpets to the fried egg in your breakfast is tired. It needs a boost.

Pleasant guest house close to the beach
Neil was very welcoming and carried our cases up to the top floor for us. When our car failed to start, Neil lent us his battery booster. There was a good selection for breakfast. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. We would certainly stay again.

The guest house is only about w00 metres away from the beach. The location is quiet apart from early morning seagulls!
