Very beautiful house and they made us feel like we are at home :)
Breakfast was fantastic.
Room was nice with very comfy bed & pillows.
Easy walk into Weymouth town and fantastic place as a base for exploring the rest of the Dorset.
I would recommend this place to my family and friends and would definitely visit again!

The hosts were kindest couple we never met before. The breakfast was nicely prepared and served to your requirement. Their service is second to none. This is not a modern guest house. Our room is small, but it is clean and tidy. As we spent most time away, small room is not a problem. The location was convenient to the beach, bus stops, and some very good restaurants.

We had a lovely stay at at johns guest house, location was perfect, there was parking on the property which i imagine is quiet rare in the area, our room was lovely (room 3) bed was so comfortable and we slept like babies the room is also very clean and smelt lovely, there is a fridge in the room and we were given fresh milk for our tea which was great. Breakfast was absolutely lovely all cooked fresh and piping hot. St John’s guesthouse will definitely be our first choice when we return to Weymouth

Outstanding guest house

Had a very warm welcome. Room was decorated nicely and very clean was compact but met all our needs. We really liked having our own mini fridge and fresh milk on hand. Breakfast was very very nice. Good quality and plenty of it. The hosts were very friendly and genuine and had plenty of time to have a chat as we were checking out they even recommended an excellent fish and chip shop which we visited twice. Would highly recommend this guest house.

First Class Guest House

Fabulous 3 night stay, lovely top floor room with a view of St John's church with a fabulous breakfast greeting us in the morning. Very clean throughout. Lynne and Andy were such welcoming hosts. Will definitely stay again and without a doubt, would recommend to everyone. We were very lucky with our parking and found a space right outside the guest house.

A lovely place to stay. Andy and Lynne are brilliant hosts. Guest house is lovely and clean. Breakfast is ordered through an online system the days before which is a great idea.
Andy was really helpful with any advice or guidance needed.
Parking is either in the car park at the rear or free on street parking. Guest house is ideally located within Weymouth and is only a 8-10 min walk from the town centre.
Would highly recommend this place to anybody. You won’t be disappointed.

Warm and Welcoming Guest House Owners

Andy gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel like we were more like friends not just paying guests. Breakfast was very good and lots of choices to be had. It was my husbands birthday and Andy and Lynne made him feel very special. Parking was easy, and hotel was very close to the beach and all amenities. Would definite stay with them again!

Fantastic B&B with a great location

Overall everthing you would want or need, close enough to the town centre to walk in, the beach is just over the road. Far enough out to not get worken by the noise.

The owners were fantastic and very attentive making sure that all needs were met - going above and beyond with cleaning and sterilising when it came to covid measures.

All in all a great stay, a touch more expensive than others, but this is more than covered by the service and cleanliness - we will definitely be back.

10 STARS out of 5! - Absolutely amazing!

Firstly want to say a massive thanks to Andy and Beyoncé 😉. We arrived down from Sandbach in Cheshire, a good 4/5 hours away and we were running late due to the traffic, really helpful and were brilliant about it! The B&B is in a brilliant location, situated perfectly, 5 minute walk to the seafront (and that was perfect for us). The room was great, all the amenities including a Fridge which is always appreciated when the weathers warm to keep the drinks cool! Large king size bed, presented beautifully, wonderfully clean and tidy. En-suite facilities with shower. Ideal! Water always ran warm (always a bug bear for me but was perfect ever time!). The breakfast is award winning! Presented beautifully, and tastes amazing! Nice selection of yoghurts, fruit, hot and cold beverages, croissants etc. But we elected for the full English and this was sensational! Highly recommended! 😊👍. Smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs was a special and the good lady absolutely loved this! Hopefully will be a choice when you stay. Andy and Lynn were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough, we really didn't want to check out this morning and we will certainly be back! We are already looking at coming back again in August 🏅.

This couple are just wonderful... they welcome you with a lovely cup of tea, ( especially after 16 miles on the SWCP) they recommend restaurants and take a real interest in you. Breakfast is superb especially the sausages. They have every type of jam, marmalade and lemon curd going. You can tell they enjoy providing a great service ( so many don’t!) and everything is spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again!

Lynne and Andy were wonderful hosts, they really make an effort to ensure you have a great stay. Good variety of breakfast options available, and very close to walk into the centre of weymouth for eating out. The only con was the space available in the room, while they had plenty of draws and cupboard to store things there wasn't much room for bags. Otherwise a lovely short break.

If you like guest houses, this is a nice one

This guest house deserves high ratings for its wonderful breakfasts and accommodating hosts, who promptly took care of a problem we had at check-in. The rooms are generally clean and in good condition. Remember, however, that this is a guest house and not a hotel. For Americans, that means a B&B with very small rooms. Our room had only a single straight uncomfortable room for sitting--so for comfort the only alternative was the bed. There was plenty of cupboard and closet space, but no desk or table.

Overall our stay was good. Lynne and Andy were friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was excellent and the guest house comfortable. However, arrival and check-in is fraught with danger with no parking out front, other than double parking, or unauthorized parking in the church opposite. Once checked in, parking at the rear of the guest house is a challenge due to it's tightness, and no cover when walking around the street to the front door if it's raining.

Great hotel on the Jurassic Coast!

We had a wonderful stay at St John's Guest House during a walking trip on the Jurassic Coast. The hotel is well located close to the promenade and has free parking. The rooms are well appointed and en-suite and the breakfast room is lovely. We even had freshly baked cookies in the afternoon! The owners are very friendly and available to answer questions.

A Gem of a B&B!

We had a brilliant weekend at the St John’s! It’s well located by the seaside and our room was lovely. Our hosts Lynn and Andy were very welcoming, going out of their way to make us feel at home. Our gluten free needs were well met (we even had gluten free pancakes!) and the full English was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.

Telling like it is !

St Johns has just been taken over and the new owners arrived a week ago. The property is well rated and there is no reason why these rating will go any where apart from up. The owners and their daughter could not do enough to make our say enjoyable and comfortable.
Breakfast has a great selection and fantastic and the poached eggs delivered to perfection.
The hotel has parking at the rear although there is no direct access to the hotel. The hotel is just 1 minute from the old pier and the beach and over looks St Johns Church. Its a short walk long the promenade to the town centre
