Everything would be great if they had more towels, I checked in with 3 guest and I only had two towel in the room and asked for more towels and the lady asked me when I was I checking out, what do you mean I need a towel per person then we had to wait because they were washing them, the pool towel same thing they did not have any available we also had to wait so I had to walk in dripping wet to get towels when they were done washing them and the one was ripped along the side other then that hotel was clean and easy to get in and out of but a let down will not be back

Location is perfect but needs more seating with umbrellas at pool area. Bar is very good. Need to update room decor and rugs in hallway to brighten up the place. Fix utility doors and where is the ice machine where it says ice machine? Stingy with the coffee and really petty that one has to call for towels for the room. They are just plain towels. Don't they trust their staff or visitors ? Fumigate regularly please.

The pool chair were either broken or unavailable. Reception staff including one in specific that was very rude, unprofessional and unhelpful upon our first arrival. 1st room given in the 8th floor the A/C was not working, my reservation was for 4 people and they had no sofa bed sheets, blankets or pillows, reception never answered my calls, I had to fiscally go downstairs to speak with someone, to get only 1 pillow as they had no other. Hot water was NOT WORKING, finally we were 2 hours later able to change room to the 3rd floor where curtains were all broken, laundry closet had no door. However the A/C was working. Overall we received poor customer service and the experience was unpleasant during our Mother’s Say weekend, time that I was hoping to be special for my Mom and not a nightmare.

Aquarius Vacation Club in Dorado was so nice! Located about 15 miles from the airport in San Juan, expect an Uber to cost between $30 and $90 dollars (US) depending on the time of day you arrive for transport, something the hotel does not offer. The amenities are good; poolside bar and grille, beach access, restaurants, casino and small gift shop on premises. My only issue was that housekeeping didn’t come to my room once during my six day stay. And the bathroom had zero counter space for toiletries, and there was no soap dish inside the shower. No shampoo or conditioner was furnished by the hotel. The room had a full size fridge, pots and pans, dinnerware for four, stove top, oven, microwave and coffee pot. Plenty of options nearby for ordering food/groceries delivered to the lobby. Being partially disabled, I was able to make my way around the resort with no issues and only having to navigate a few stairs. Planning on returning with my siblings next year.

The property has a nice gym and pool and is right on the ocean. However, it needs major work. The rooms are old and dated. Black mold covered the baseboard under the bathroom vanity. We were given no blankets. There was no fitted sheet on the bed. They used a normal sheet for a fitted sheet. They gave us two bath towels. No bath mat or hand towels. I would not stay there again.

I’ve been to many places and many countries, seeing the previous reviews on this property made me definitely lower expectations. The property itself is well taken care of, the rooms are dated, but clean. To be honest, I saved a lot of money booking with Aquarius Resort rather than the Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar. They share the same resort, beach access, some amenities etc and there’s casino w/ table games. I paid the breakfast buffet for 4 for 3 days at the Embassy, it’s the same offerings everyday, for the amount of money they charge which is $21.99 usd (plus tax) I think it’s not worth it. The last day, we went to Tea time Cafe which is below the New York lounge. Their subs and paninis are great and prices are reasonable. I also rented a car, so we were able to go out for dinner and able to see Cueva del Indio and Vega Baja (I think it’s called Playa de Puerta Nueva beach) which is a gem. Overall still a good week, will I return to the resort (or Puerto Rico in general)? Maybe not, but definitely a good experience, and is a proof that you don’t need to overspend on good vacation

The front desk personal need more training before being left alone. They kept giving me mis-information, the parking needs to have an attendant at all times due to the fact that you couldn't get in/out in a timely manner. We had 4 people in our suite, but couldn't get enough towels for all of us due to the fact the front desk said we were only allowed 2. I was excited to go to the caasino but when I did go it seemed I could only play the machines. Bingo was an option but you could only play on certain days and if you were a member. When asked how do you become a member, I was told you had to live on the property and have so many points to play. I was on a 6 day vacation, so no Bingo for me:( My room did have some view of the ocean, the air condition didn't work very well. The fire alarm kept going off all hours of the day and night.

The place is ok. My daughter found rat feces under her pillow after the 2nd night. Loved the balcony and the beach view. I did step on a sea urchin at their beach and injured my foot. They weren't too helpful with that just offered a band aid. It was extremely painful. The pool was amazing. The bar was closed every time I wanted to go. Great location and view but probably wouldn't stay again.

I reserved this hotel trusting the reviews on Expedia and when I arrived to the hotel and go into the room the carpet smells humid and old and it’s extremely dirty so were the bed sheets and the bathroom was full of hair and the towels had hair on them from previous people ! Thankfully I had brought my own towel and I tried to see what bed sheet was the cleanest to be able to sleep it was horrible the next day I asked the front desk for clean towels and clean bed sheets and I explained what happened and the guy didn’t even apologize! I also let him know that the shower was getting wet every where and he said it was normal for water to get out of the shower. He was not polite at all ! I asked to switch rooms and he said there were none available ! I called Expedia and they thought that by giving me $75 dollars was going to fix the horrible experience I had at that hotel ! I would never recommend it to anyone ! The second night we couldn’t find parking because it seemed like the hotel was completely booked and people couldn’t find parking anywhere. We got called like at 7am that were we had parked the car wasnt acceptable and that we had to move the car but no instructions were given to were we had to park.

It took them a day to get us these items. I enjoyed the outside and the breakfast at the Embassy Suites next door, but it was too expensive. The private beach was the gem of the entire stay

The rooms are horrible all of the carpets needs to be removed it is too much moisture the halls and the rooms reek of mold! I do believe the hotel is well aware of it that’s why they have those drying machines in every corner. There was never no washcloths and towels available. The ticket machine to go in and out of the property by car didn’t work all the time it was a hit or miss.. it was annoying to stop at the front desk each time leaving the property. Staff did the best they can, couldn’t blame them for the property upkeep. The amenities such as the casino restaurants bar and pool hall 10/10!

Hi!!! I would return!!! However it would not take much to improve this hotel to feel more luxurious. Key points….please supply better quality products. Such as conditioner and larger soap. Please consider a blanket. Room did not have a blanket that was comfy. Makes a huge difference. Carpets could be steam cleaned in the rooms. A throw carpet for the bathroom OR skid matt. Floors become wet. Please ensure blowdryers are operable. Us ladies like to look nice and sometimes it requires a handy blowdyer. Mine did not work. Room service! Even if its light snacks! Small appetizers. It would be such a nice touch. Mini charcutierie or fruit platter. Yogurt with granola or salads. These investments would greatly increase hotel popularity and revenue! Thank you for your hospitality and warm staff.

Staff for the most part was very helpful.

The room did have a few things broken. The drain in the shower had a dent and was poking up about a 3/4 inch making it very sharp and was a hazard if you hit it.

The room also smelled like pot for about 2 hours and the hotel was quick to resolve the issue but no accommodations were taken place.

They also charge $25 if you loose they’re cheap beach towel. Which is fine, but $25 seems very steep.

The room overall was very clean as well as the property. The elevators did have a lot of trash and grime that could easily be cleaned up.

Overall was a great stay and would like to stay again, but was a few things that could be resolved. Thanks!

We had to check out early after spending one night of our scheduled 5 day trip. The lobby was nice. No place to buy snacks or souvenirs. The elevator should have been a red flag. It was SO dirty and unkempt. When we got to the room it was decent. In need of upgrades but ok. The bathroom was gross. Everything was rusted and the shower knob was falling off. And there was hair everywhere so obviously not thoroughly cleaned. The view from the balcony was beautiful. And having a balcony was a nice feature. The WiFi would not work. The power kept flashing on and off. The fire alarm was going off. And that was all day 1. The pool was ok. The hot tub was filthy. Day 2 we sucked it up and went out. When we got back my husband turned on the sink to wash a cup and 3 roaches poured out from under the lip of the sink. That was it for us. We went to complain. Tried to switch us to a new room that was just as repulsive. We opted to just leave. Mind you it was 11:30pm at this point. The staff could not have cared less. They weren’t even shocked which shows this is a know issue. Then we had to fight to get a refund because they have a “no refund” policy. It’s not like we just chose to leave. It was infested with insects that we didn’t want to bring home. We were finally able to recoup 2 days of our money thanks to Expedia helping. 10/10 DO NOT RECCOMEND.

It’s more like a motel than a hotel, I asked for a different room due to smoke smell and the fact that it was old and run down. They changed it to the exact same look and smell but worse. The mirror had black stains all on it. The shower was scary. No washcloths in either rooms never brought extra towels. The wifi didn’t work. No coffee or anything just a fridge with frozen ice cream for sale

The only thing that we liked in this hotel was the outdoor pool and the main attraction was a ton of iguanas that were crawling all around the pool.
The property seemed quite outdated and there was no warm blankets but just very thin throw blankets.
This hotel did not have any onsite restaurants or breakfast so we had to go to a nearby Hilton hotel for food.
The beach was nice just to sit next to but it’s not really for swimming.

This hotel is 1star dressed up as 4. The hotel needs a major make over. The rooms had a very strong mildewy smell. Everything in the room was dated and very uncomfortable. The windows were filthy. Cleaning staff was a joke. We had to ask for towels and toilet paper almost daily at the front desk. Staff at the front desk were ok. They cleaned the room one day in a seven day stay. Elevator had issues, there were power issues, TV remotes were horrible and I can just go on and on. The pool area and the surrounding resort however was nice.The restaurant’s by the Golf course and casino were also very good.

During my stay, I encountered an issue that was not disclosed at the time of booking. Upon arrival, I was informed that I could not use the hotel facilities before check-in, which I understood. However, after check-out, I was told that I would need to pay an additional fee to continue using the facilities.
This policy was not mentioned anywhere on Expedia at the time of booking, nor was it stated on the hotel’s official website. I spoke directly with hotel staff, and they confirmed that this is a “new policy,” yet it has not been properly disclosed to guests.
I believe this lack of transparency is misleading and unacceptable, as it directly impacted my experience and resulted in unexpected charges, if I knew this I wouldn't made the reservation.
I kindly request that this matter be investigated and that appropriate action be taken. We left the hotel before the check out time. (When I made the reservation they were putting a nice stay package, and when I added up the extra fees they were charging, there was the difference) It ruined our weekend.

Outdoor pool is amazing with the beach right next to it. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again in the near future only because of the scenery and the amazing balcony view of the ocean. The only hiccup is the rooms do not appear modern nor as clean especially when you first arrive there. I did see a rip in the curtains, and the smell of mold. House cleaning wasn’t up to part as well and there was no plates, cups, or spoons for us to eat or use the microwave . The staff is friendly though.

It’s an amazing hotel, clean, very pretty, connected next to Embassy suite. The pool area is shared with them so it’s great! You can pay to use the embassy breakfast that’s $22 plus tax per person but it’s has a good variety of food option. I am originally from PR and this is a great hotel to stay at.
