Met the owners upon arrival. Lovely couple that were very informative, reviewed the property, how the main gathering room is handled and how breakfast runs. He showed us to our room and went over everything. We stayed 2 nights. He recommended several qrea restaurants. The breakfast was great. Very efficiently handled. Room dies have air conditioning. Beds were very comfortable. The only two negatives are 1. No elevator and lots of steps. 2. Parking and unloading not the easiest. An unsecured lot is behind hotel that offers free over night parking but space is limited. They let you know this in the instructions when you book so they give you heads up and options. Otherwise and great B&B!

Accurately listed on expedia. Thoughtfully decorated - loved the elclectic book selection in the room . Breakfast just fabulous. Jonathan was a great host - very helpful with restaurant recommendations and things to do. Made for a great anniversary weekend.

Gloucester House is based in a fantastic location within easy reach of everything you could possibly need. The owners and staff are all incredibly welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient. The place was immaculate and the quality of the breakfast and options was fantastic. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Gloucester House. We were warmly greeted by the owners Jonathan and Karen and our luggage was carried to our room. The hotel room was exactly like the photo! Extremely well presented and comfortable room. We stayed in room 4 and the sea view is lovely. You can even sit on the balcony and watch the world go by and watch the sunrise over the sea. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated. The lounge with sea view and breakfast room are lovely. The breakfast was delicious, cooked to order and the service was great. Polite and friendly staff. The buffet breakfast (fresh juices selection, croissants, fruit, yogurt and cereals selection among other things) was delicious and beautifully presented and after that we ordered a hot breakfast. The quality of the food was excellent, fresh and very tasty. I visited on my 40th birthday and Jonathan and Karen kindly surprised me with a card and chocolates at breakfast. It was so thoughtful and a lovely way to begin my birthday celebrations. I hope to return again in the future.

When we arrived Jonathan and his wife greeted us at the front door and welcomed us in. The location is perfect and right across from the beach front which my boys loved! The hotel was exceptionally clean and well presented and you could tell that this isn’t just a business but a real passion!
The breakfast was excellent with all the food being hot and consistent, which you don’t normally see or receive elsewhere.
The room for the 3 of us was perfect and the boys loved the hot chocolates!! All the soaps and shampoos were also of a high quality (I know it’s a small thing but makes difference).

My (single) room was compact but nicely furnished with a small balcony overlooking the esplanade & beach. I really did enjoy just sitting out there (with a cuppa) & taking in that stunning view & watching the world go by. The hotel is in a great location, really modern and clean, staff go above and beyond to help you. We had a Double room with balcony, which was lovely to sit out on, we was provided with binoculars to see the cruise ships and surrounding areas. Breakfast was amazing and staff was always checking 8f you needed anything else. I would rate 10/10, we have also rebooked to come back later in the year.
