This was our second time to Le Vimarn – and as first time – a totally UNFORGETTABLE stay!!
Everything we like is there – amazing beach – good food – and the BEST Staff you can imagine!
We did notice 2 improvements from our first stay to this stay:
1.Nice with choice for breakfast (the new card) – and the best fresh juices – so nice
2.Staff at the sunchairs was very active in removing non hotel guests and unused sunchairs still with towels on – so there was always space for us
We felt like coming home – we simply LOVE Le Vimarn – especially because of the crew!

What a wonderful hotel!
We have just returned from a 10 day stay at Le Vimarn and had the most fantastically chilled & relaxed time. The resort is located in a beautiful, quiet bay, and the facilities are excellent. The food at ‘O’, Breeze and Buzz was all of a high standard.

The staff at Le Vimarn are what make the biggest difference, though. They just couldn’t do enough for us, and everybody from the waiters & waitresses, beach, spa, and reception staff were just so helpful and courteous, it made our stay even more memorable.

We hope we are lucky enough to visit Le Vimarn again in the future!

The staff at this property are so lovely! Kind and welcoming. The room we had was dreamy and the beach was gorgeous. We visited in July, unsure what to expect from the weather, and we enjoyed some blue sky! The breakfast was delicious and both the O and Breezes were high quality. Definitely a more up scale experience. Great memories!

Very pleasant long stay - excellent staff

Excellent 8 day stay in a premier hillside room. Staff superb throughout. Breakfast selection was extensive and very tasty as was food in the Italian and Buzz beach bar. Ate at the other resort restaurant and the Thai food was very good. Very high standard of housekeeping and we never had to ask for anything was replaced each day. Great to have the Nespresso machine. Beach loungers and tables could do with a bit of maintenance but were comfortable. The beach guys always ensured non residents were quickly evicted if they attempted to bag a lounger! Very eagle eyed. Plenty of security cameras so beach felt very safe to leave stuff whilst swimming.

Stor och härlig bungalow

Fint hotellområde där vi bodde i en härlig bungalow. Bungalowen var välstädad med uteplats. Hotellområdet är dock ganska litet och det finns få restauranger där detta hotell ligger. Så antingen måste man gilla det lilla och lugnet eller åka iväg till andra delar av ön. Det fanns en brygga som säkert varit väldigt fin en gång i tiden men som nu skulle behöva en uppfräschning vilket är synd att man inte fixat med.

Vi utnyttjade det inte men hotellet kunde också ordna med båttransport direkt från bryggan vid hotellet istället för att man skulle behöva ta sig till den stora piren. Hotellet och restaurangerna i närheten tog kort men det kan vara tänkvärt att det inte finns någon bankomat på ön.

Lovely hotel on secluded beach

The bungalows were big and clean, good bed and bathroom. The surroundings were beautiful The beach were amazing! Best sand ever seen! No stones or garbage. Plants of space, very few people. Turquoise beautiful water. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast. The gym was the least good thing - small, broken equipment, air conditioning sometimes not working.

Only points to optimize: Breakfast - empty dishes and glasses are mostly not removed and when you come later than 10 am, buffet had empty or almost empty bowls. At the pool no service for drinks ? - nobody came by on two days.

I completely enjoyed the living quarters which were quiet and remote. I would have loved a little more service when it comes to getting drinks both around the pool and on the beach. Often I had to walk up to place my order. The massage was wonderful and would benefit from other spa services as well.

I was racially profiled by a staff at Le Vimarn, Ko Samed.
While sitting on the hotels beach, my family and I were approached by the hotel security guard asking for our room number to see if we were guests. The exact question was “What’s your room number!?” in an authoritative tone. No “Hello”, no “Excuse me,…”
So this may be innocent enough. Why I was sure this was racial profile was that we were the only Asian family on the beach that morning. It was early in the day and the beach was empty and there was only 3 or 4 families using the hotel’s beach chairs. All were Caucasians except my family. I could tell the security guard was taking issue with us being there because he was lingering around our area (we were far from others) and eyeing us so much. This is not me being hypersensitive. The situation was obvious and noticeable especially when there’s not a lot of people on the beach. Perhaps he thought that we were non-hotel guests using the hotel’s chairs (this is an issue at the hotel). This would be find if the security guard proceed to check everyone but during the hour that we were there, I did not see him engage anyone else. I guess we don't fit the hotel's client profile.
Finally, after eyeballing my family a time, the security guard approach us and proceed to ask for our room number (again no “hello” no “excuse me”). At this point I knew exactly what was going on and I spoke back to him in THAI indicating that I was guess an asking why he needed to

Just came back from 3 days at Le Vimarn and we just loved it! The speedboat transfer was amazing and the location of the hotel is just unique! We had a nice room and you can choose between 3 restaurants by the sea.
The beach is wonderful but what we really appreciate was the extremely friendly and helpful staff!!!

Disappointing start- beautiful location

Excellent location! Wonderful beach, great rooms set back into the hill, surrounded by trees and well kept greenery. Excellent food. Great pool. Staff very attentive, a little too much at times. Barely put the last mouthful of food in and your plate is whipped away as the waiters are hovering like flies.
We had a problem with our check in and speed boat trip over where we were given no information as to the times this was available and ended up being charged 2000baht extra. Management did not seem concerned by the lack of information we had been given and blamed the website we had booked through. Even though I paid through the hotel direct I was still not told about the time of the last speed boat. I spoke to 2 separate managers during my stay, one said they would contact the Bangkok office and get back to me.. they never did. I will be emailing the Bangkok office directly and asking for an explanation. A shame that this is how our trip started out as it is a fantastic place. We live nearby and return to Ko samet often. For the money though, I would say there are better options available on the island.

Luxury hotel in a remote location

Le Vimarn is a small luxurious resort on the island of Koh Samet- a paradise only 3 hours from Bangkok. The hotel is around 3km from the nearest village a sonis perfect for a tranquil relaxing holiday.
The rooms were spacious and clean, and the private beach, just a few steps from the hotel, was amazing.
Staff were always super helpful and friendly, and the food was very good.

If you want to just slow down and wake up in a piece of Paradise this resort is an amazing place to stay. The beach is beautiful, the scenery is untouched and the resort and staff are friendly and caring. We stayed here for 5 days and didn’t want to leave. Sublime sunsets, Turquoise water, a good choice of food in multiple Restraunts and beautifully prepared rooms. It’s also easy to hire a taxi or a motorbike and go to explore the rest of the island if you want some adventures.

We can’t wait to come back.

Quite nice cottage accommodation on lovely beach

Expensive hotel with very expensive food and drink , slightly faded in parts. Not on a resort just a beach so a complimentary shuttle bus into town would help. Staff slightly disorganised but pleasant. Not up to standards set by other hotels in this price bracket in Thsiland. Lovely beach front location and immaculately kept gardens by very hard working gardeners.

Great hidden paradise - if you can get there

The hotel is surrounded by an amazing beach. Staff were very attentive, everything was cleaned daily and the garden was kept in immaculate condition. Breakfast was delicious, although the options were a bit limited. There were 3 restaurants in the resort - 1 Thai, 1 European, 1 mixed. The European was quite expensive, but the Thai and mixed restaurants were very good price and the food was delicious. The hotel even had a small gym if you wanted to put in a little workout.

The hotel has a lot of geckos/crickets that make a lot of sound. It wasn't a bother to us, but at times it was almost hurting your ears. They do stop at night so you'll be able to get a good night sleep.

The only major issue was that we were never contacted about the speedboat to the island, despite getting in touch with the hotel. We had to organise it ourselves.

Weekend getaway while visiting Bangkok

The beach here is great, super nice sand. Love how they provide bottled water and a beach bag to take belongings to the beach or pool. Staff here are very accommodating. For me, I prefer islands outside of Thailand. Not a fan of the shampoo.

beach location is unbeatable

It's really all about that beach. Tropical views, clean beach right on your doorstep can't be beaten. Service is a little lacking - helpful when asked but not very proactive. No towels around the pool, no drink service at pool or beach despite 3 guys looking bored sitting behind the bar etc. Rooms are spotless and comfortable if fairly basic.

The place is very beautiful and clean and even the beach is very well looked after and tidy from rubbish. However we find the all beach - Ao Prao - rather soul less. The area dont allow any street vendor or any other interesting cultural activity - some shops, some local restaurants...Everything is only available from the 3 resorts there making the all area rather boring and not \"very Thai\". Even the menu at the resort restaurant was westerner food, we had to insist asking for the Thai menu - which they had one at the end. On our last day some friends came to visit us for few hours with their two kids. At the pool the management came to ask us to leave because guests were not allowed - now, I would have understand if the pool was busy at any point or if we had friends coming every day but it is rude to not allow two small kids jumping in an almost empty pool for 20 minutes.....If you look to stay in a place just to relax and which could be in Thailand or Gran Canarie, that is the place.

Beautiful setting with fantastic beach. Nice choice of food and a range of bars and restaurants a short taxi ride away. Speedboat transfers were great fun too. Stayed for two nights but could have stayed forever. The hotel even fumigate the area in the evenings to keep the Mosquitos in check.

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

A good hotel in a nice location with very nice staff. The F&B manager was actually exceptional, the 'everywhere man'. I would hire him!

The Bad plumbing in the rooms means shower and sink do not drain properly, the former flooding the bathroom. This wasn't unique to our room, also read it in other reviews. Also no hot water tap on the sink.

The Ugly plastic waste that continually washes up on the beach is an environmental disgrace. The hotel staff do their very best To clean it off the beaches, as did I, very time I went for a swim, but the sheer volume of rubbish in the water is a tragedy especially given the lovely location.

We were still charged for an additional night when we checked out a day early, but to be fair we knew their policy was completely inflexible but travelers itineraries do change and the hotel needs to address this. We stayed in the early monsoon season and left on a Sunday, so the place was almost empty.

Our checkout took forever with a young woman who spoke very little English and stuffed up the credit card charge split we asked for. What was really Ugly though is, after charging us for the night we didn't stay, taking forever to check us out and failing to split the charges over our two ccards; she then produced another bill for just 60bht for one bottle of water from lunch the day before that they failed to include in the master bill, so we paid that in cash and left feeling less than happy with the experience.

Overall though, A good stay.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the hotel/property. This is not a 5 star hotel but you are not paying 5 star hotel prices to stay here so keep this in mind. For the price we paid we were very happy with everything. We had a standard room, which was huge by big city standards. Lots of storage space, large bathroom, nice balcony with table and 2 chairs,, view of the water. Would not bother to pay for a more deluxe room, standard is perfect. Has a mini fridge with was nice and cold.

Beach was clean, private and quiet. There are other resorts down the beach which seemed a bit more crowded and had more kids (great it you want playmates for your children, if not keep to the hotel beach). Water was calm, clear, warm, not large waves due to being on an inlet. Pool area was nice,, a good option for full shade in the afternoon if beach gets too hot. Pool was clean, temp perfect.

Food was ok, not amazing, but we came for the water/ R&R,,, not a food trip. We had Pad Thai which was just average, a club sandwich split between us for lunch was more than enough and was good. Dinner one night at the Italian, chicken was a bit dry, but duck was very good. Thai food other night at Buzz, was good. Wine choices limited but we did manage to find some we liked. Beer prices not outrageous and happy hour 5 to 7 on beach drinks half price, they were ok, not great.

Staff very nice and friendly. Fun to watch the guys in the morning 'rolling' the dock back into the water.

Stunning beach

Charming resort albeit showing a few signs of wear and tear. The attentiveness of the staff varies greatly from one person to the next so management should really look into their training programs. The best feature is by far it's location - stunning beachfront that is very well tended by the ground staff. Ideal place for those looking to sit by the beach and enjoy the crystal clear waters.

A dream to become true

The hotel has its own beach with crystal-clear water. The rooms (little bungalows) are facing directly the sea and give the stay a very private feel (perfect for couples). The hotel's Italian restaurant prepares excellent pizza in an authentic wood-fired stone oven. This is paradise for sure!

Amazing natural beauty and staff; however, breakfast was very sub-average and getting to the island from Ban Phe was a hassle. Getting off the island was a very different story. The speed boat back was very comfortable and the staff went above and beyond to find us a taxi to take us to the Bus Station for a ride back to Bangkok at no additional cost.

First of all..I made a misstake, I booked the day after..not the same day. Big misstake, but as a entrepreneur and businessman I knew that the hotel would fix this to please their customer. Just let me change the date in this not even half full hotel. No being deal...but it was, nothing could be done, I just had to pay full price for the day. Real bummer. Beside from that the place was stunning!

Starting to look tired

Although the location is beautiful, with a lovely beach and clear warm water, the spa room in which we stayed was starting to get quite tired. The spa itself was really past its best. Also the mosquito net around the bad was to small so effectively it was a waste of time and we were both bitten pretty badly.. The communal areas were very pleasant and breakfast was good with a great view overlooking the beach, with excellent staff. Although very pleasant,i It didn't help however, that the reception staff did not understand much English (maybe we should speak Thai) so obtaining information was very difficult. The price of the rooms is extremely high and really a reflection upon the superb location and regrettably not the quality of the hotel - although it is very good. I did feel that the overriding factor was to charge clients as much as they could realistically get away with.

Starting to look tired

A beautiful location, beach and sea - ideal for what i was looking for. Generally the hotel, except for the bedroom, was absolutely fine with an excellent breakfast and good friendly staff. We were staying in a spa villa, which frankly had seen its best days. The mosquito curtain around the bed was too small and we were bitten very badly, the spa pool was very run down and we needed assistance to have it empties. Generally for the price we were paying it was extremely disappointing and as I say, whilst the location is lovely, it is doubtful whether it worth it.

Stunning surroundings, beautiful beach, gardens and swimming pool. Hotel very calm and not much to do apart \"Farniente\". Difficult to get in touch with reception (beforehand impossible to contact the hotel to organize shuttle transfer and during stay, desk very often left empty!! Impossible to book for cooking class...). Very good spa but very expensive (20% off was proposed when we arrived, but still...) Choice of 4 restaurants, 3 of them being from the hotel chain.

Great spot

Recently visited Le Vimarns for a quick getaway with friends. We wanted something driving distance from Bangkok and ended up in the perfect spot. Santh is amazing and did a great job of helping us plan our stay. Highly recommend scuba diving with Mong and the \"water taxis\" especially for beginners. Nice beach, nice rooms, quiet setting, lots of activities, and nightlife in the neighboring town if you want. Would definitely return.

it is only a 3 star hotel

We were very exited about the hotel, the speed boat was very good. But when we arrived the room was not so good as we paid. The hot tub did not had enough hot water therefore was useless. Food was ok and staff friendly but only few people could speak English.
Many things were in bad condition and for example the tablecloth were with holes. For this kind of resort is not acceptable.
If I could decided again I will choose an other island of thailand and certainly an other resort.

Great quality hotel, easy transport via the speedboat right to the hotel's beach. Not much to do at the hotel or on Koh Samed but a great location to relax for a few nights. The beach was quiet and extremely clean and is great for watching sunsets. The staff were very helpful and friendly. You pay a lot more being in Koh Samed - I have stayed at similar quality hotels for 1/3 of the price elsewhere in Thailand but it was worth it for a short getaway.

We had a one night stay at LeVimarn during a weekday in April. Usually Paradee is our choice when it comes to Samed, but this time we decided to try this \"sister\" hotel as it is owned by the same group. Everything was in line with our expectation, i.e. the beach is nice but not the best of Samed (Paradee remains untouched). As for accomodation and service, no complaints there. Overall, you get what you pay for here, we did not feel we over, nor underpaid during our stay there.

Away from it all- but not too far

Le Vimarn is an excellent quality beach resort. It is well organized from when you arrive to catch the boat to the resort to when you leave. The breakfast, pool and beach are all faultless and the staff very friendly . If I looked very hard to find fault , the only comment is there is little to entertain you nearby other than the hotel facilities and those of the hotel next door. Not a problem for a weeks stay , but for a longer stay you might need to take a taxi to eat somewhere different. After a week in Bangkok this is a great way to relax and unwind. Le Vimarn is 3 hours by car from Bangkok and IMO a much better location than going down to the south. Although it is a bit pricey, you save a day on your holiday and save additional airfares and hassle. I thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Great value for small taste of paradise

Beautiful cottage which was well designed with fabulous ocean view. Cottages clean and well appointed. Beach was near perfect but three days felt like enough as limited choice of food etc in the bay, although there was access to the main island town. Hotel staff had poor English which could be difficult, for example with simple questions like whether restaurant was open or not. Very lovely spot for the price. Real bonus was arriving on a speedboat from Ban Phe ferry where really good service with waiting room.

Very nice hotel.. and nice beach. Really nice with private tub... in general the bathroom is excellent :) Bed was very noisy and it felt like it was almost falling apart just when turning from one side to another. Breakfast ok, but nothing special... like at Paradee...!

Top. Staff is fantastic, rooms the same. Great breakfast and other food options close by. Really quiet and secluded private beach that is really relaxing for mind and body. The beach it self is probably the best on the island, placed in an area with very little wind and waves.

The hotel it self was so nice. Built into the forest in a smart and ecofriendly way, allowing wild animals to move freely in the hotels area. Snakes, frogs, geckos and other animals are often seen. Even if you are afraid, like me, it only adds to the experience in my opinion. The staff are really helpful if you need any help with said animals.

Just top. Would really strongly recommend going here!

Varit i Thailand väldigt många gånger men detta var den bästa hotellet jag varit på. Fantastiskt strand, bra boende bodde i 505 inga grannar fanatiskt utsikt, frukost riktigt bra maten på den italienska restaurangen på kväll mycket god. Privat strand med många solstolar. Transfer från fastlandet ingår. tips till ledningen ha nr på borden vid frukost så personalen hittar vart de ska gå med tex omeletten plus de borde underhålla hotellet mera regelbundet tex måla mm. borde kräva att folk som använder puffar vid strand baren ska använda handdukar. nackdel med stranden ao prao finns ingen butik att handla godis öl mm.

Prachtig uitzicht, prima kamers met goede airco en ieder cottage lijkt wel uitzicht zee te hebben. Het zewmbad is goed en er zijn voldoende ligbedjes. Het ontbijt viel tegen, maar de koffie is heerlijk. Het personeel is overal even aardig en doet er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. De priveboot van het resort vanaf Rayong naar het resort is absoluut een luxe ervaring. Huur gerust een scoooter op het eiland. Dit kan op veel plekken en is veilig, goedkoop en goede kwaliteit. De zusterresorts zijn allemaal de moeite waard. Ko Samet is wel een heel stil eiland.

Il resort è molto bello posto su un tratto di spiaggia tra i più bell dell'isola. Le camere sono spaziose e pulite, c'è molto rumore di natura alla sera perché è immerso nel verde e la giungla è subito di dietro! Ci sono due ristoranti abbastanza costosi per gli standard thai! Si mangia bene in entrambi. Una pecca secondo me migliorabile sono i servizi che l'hotel potrebbe offrire snorkeling gratis con accompagnatore una volta al giorno, kayak ecc.

Veldig fin resort på tilnærmet privat strand på Koh Samet. God mat, hyggelig personale og fine fasciliteter. Stille og rolig, men taxi kommer etter 2min og kjører til byen på 5 min for 200baht om man vil oppleve litt mer Thailand. Kommer nok tilbake hit!

휴가지로 베스트인 숙소!

최고의 숙소!
코사멧 여행을 계획하고 찾아본 숙소 중 제일 마음에 들어서 얼른 예약했어요. 코사멧 시내 쪽이랑은 거리가 꽤 있어서 언제든 외출할 생각도 있었는데 아니 숙소가 너무 좋아서 아예 안나가고 여기서만 머물렀어요. 프라이빗 비치같은 바다도 너무 좋고, 인피니티 풀같은 바다가 보이는 수영장도 너무 좋았어요. 무엇보다 사람이 적어서 제일 좋았어요. 그리고 저녁에 라이브 공연 보면서 불쇼도 보고 음식도 다 맛있고 좋았습니다. 다만 레스토랑 직원들 중 trainee 몇 분은 조금 어리숙해보이고 주문도 잘 못받고 사과도 안하는 등... 불편함은 있었어요.

アオプラオリゾートが好きで何度か利用しています。
築年数と立地を考えると致し方ないですが、シャワーの水量・温度が安定しません。
不満はそれ位です。
レストランのシーフードを使ったお料理はとても美味しい。
タイ料理は見た目も綺麗で、どれも美味しいです。
スパもおすすめです！

Smukt sted, dog var det gamle maskiner i Fitness og ingen aircon de første 3 dage. Den manglede vand de sidste 3 dage i fitness. Scooter er et must da det ligger 3 km fra byen.
