Bra läge, fina lokaler med god frukost. Rent och snyggt men tyvärr var tvättstället placerat i rummet utanför badrummet. Ingen garderob eller annan möjlighet att packa upp och hänga kläder på. Saknade info om bagagerum och fann ingen att fråga. Överlag var vi nöjda.

Not Worth the Price – Style Over Comfort at U&Me

We stayed 18 nights in a “Superior” room for $2200. The view was great, but nearly everything else disappointed.

The first room was tiny with a dangerous bathtub. We were luckily moved to a corner room that had just enough space for standing suitcases—no dressers, no closets, no surfaces. The shower flooded the floor daily. Lighting was dim and confusing. Windows didn't open, and with no air conditioning, the room got hot unless we kept curtains completely closed all day.

The room was dusty throughout our stay—my nightstand was never wiped, and the floor under furniture was filthy. Sheets were hard to get changed (even completely ignored when we actually removed them ourselves), and we found stains on both the pillows and the comforters. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the bed topper was thin and cheap. The mattress itself had visible liquid stains. Details like plastic toilet flushers and flimsy lamps felt more hostel than hotel.

Garage access was confusing, elevator logistics frustrating, and we weren’t informed when the parking code changed. Loud music from nearby events until 3am cost us sleep—yet the hotel had the audacity to raise the nightly price exactly during that time.

Bottom line: this is a wanna-be flashy hotel likely designed for short-term visitors who care more about Instagram aesthetics than livability. If you’re staying longer than a weekend, think twice.

One night stay.

We were on a road trip around Sweden. Check in was quick and easy with parking within the building which was very handy. Our room was very nice with a city and river view. The decor of the room was quite modern with a few different features to lots of hotels. The bed was very comfortable with a nice bathroom.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choice so no complaints.

Möjligt väldigt modernt men fullständigt opraktiskt o svårhanterligt när det gäller belysning, värmereglering (dålig funktion o svår att förstå),
mörkläggningsgardiner (som inte gick o reglera). Inga sängbord o dåligt med avlastningsytor. Men det kanske mest korkade, handfatet placerat i rummet och ej i badrummet... efter att ha bajsat o torkat sig, ta i handtag för att kunna Tvätta händerna (under all kritik). Tunt toapapper med allt vad det innebär...

Fint rum med utsikt över älven. Utmärkt frukost med mycket närproducerat. Trots många gäster var det inte någon väntetid vid hissarna. Nackdel med rummet är att det inte finns några förvaringsutrymmen som garderober, inte heller några krokar för att gänga upp jackor, det som finns på rummet var 3-4 galgar upphängda på en vägg precis vid sängen, p.g.a detta passar rummen för en natt eller två, inte för någon längre vistelse.

Placerat vid älvens strand med en underbar utsikt visade Umeå från sin bästa sida. Vi passade även på att äta på restaurangen i den angränsande byggnaden. God mat och excellent service med prislapp därefter. Att hotellet är beläget i samma byggnad som biblioteket var en klar fördel för oss. Bra ställe att hänga när vädret inte var så kul en förmiddag

Smidig incheckning, fräscha rum som alltid och nära till allt! Min vistelse var för både jobb och privat vistelse. Parkerade bilen i ett parkeringshus bredvid för ca 120kr/dygn. Värt! Ootroooolig frukost nere på entréplan. Om det inte va för att jag jobbade på kvällen hade jag lätt tagit restaurangens erbjudandet på pizza och rödpang.

Jobbigt att det inte finns reception o personal förutom städpersonal . Städpersonalen var dock mkt hjälpsamma o trevliga.
Sängen var skön men rummet trångt o lamporna är svåra att komma underfund med. Inget tvättfat i badrummet. Golven med klinkers jättekalla .. man drog sig för att duscha pga kylan.

Det var sminkfläckar på örngotten på kuddarna samt handdukar i rummet. Det var hår i sängen. Badrummet var bara ytligt städat, var klistermärken på golvet och fläckar. Samt var den påbörjade toalett rullen inte så fräsch, men det fanns nya i hotellrummet som man kunde använda istället.

Krokarna i rummet var också trasiga. Dusch huvudet sprutade också väldigt ojämnt och hade behövts bytas ut. Rummet var kallt, tog ett bra tag innan värmen steg efter korrigering. Rummet var också extremt lyhört. Hade svårt att somna då jag hörde de andra gästerna gå runt i deras rum, duscha, stänga och öppna dörrar. Kunde även höra när de pratade. Hissen stank cigarette rök på morgonen.

Frukosten däremot var väldigt stor och varierad. Fräsch mat och rent. Dock, har du allergier hade jag ringt och checkat dina val med hotellet innan. Då nötterna och liknande stod bredvid resten av frukosten och vissa gäster använde då samma bestick till allt.

Personalen var väldigt trevliga, speciellt Jörgen som jobbade på frukost buffén och hjälpte mig checka ut. In och ut checkning var smidigt och enkelt.

En fantastisk vistelse i Umeå på U&Me Hotel! Rummet var både rent och ombonat, och utsikten över den frusna älven genom det stora panoramafönstret i morgonljuset var helt magisk. Frukosten var utsökt och jag som kock blev mycket imponerande högklassiga lokala råvaror. En eloge till Petra som gav ett ett varmt välkomnande och fick oss att känna oss som hemma direkt!

Rummet var enligt våra önskemål och otroligt skön säng! Hade önskat minikyl om något. Samt att saknade ändå att kunna prata med en anställd på plats hellre än att ringa ett nummer. Till exempel ville vi veta hur det fungerade med parkering då vi såg att det fanns i hissen, men hittade infen information om hur det fungerade praktiskt.

Umea has a long history as a seafaring town. During the 1800s ship building and sea travel were big business and the seaman's mission constructed an impressive building down by the river, a combination of mission house and hotel.
