Hotel Uman is a fantastic hotel. We stayed two separate nights on our way to and from Finland. Nice quiet rooms with all the amenities. Lower level garage is very convenient and safe. Hotel Uman is within walking distance of all Umeå museums, university, river walk, shopping and ferry to Vaasa Finland. The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner) and both are free! The staff is superior---very friendly and accommodating. Hotel Uman is the place to stay in Umeå.

We stayed for two weeks, visiting our daughter, her husband and our new grand baby. The Clarion is near the town square with lots of shops and weekend community activities. The river is just a block away, with nice walking/running paths. The hotel is clean, the staff are wonderfully helpful. The \"gym\" has two treadmills and an elliptical glider, but only 7 dumbbells with a top weight of 9 kilos.
We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel everyday. Breakfast was consistent each morning, lots of variety to chose from. Dinner's main course was different every night, and always good.

Great stay at the Clarion hotel in Umea. A stylish and modern hotel in a historical building. The free, buffet style, breakfast and dinners are exquisite. The coffee is rich and fresh. Their wine and beer selection is excellent. The beds and pillows are supper comfortable. Convenient location.

Not only we’re the staff incredibly friendly (and supportive of me passing my driving test), but the room was lovely, the bed comfortable, and the shower more powerful than any shower Ive ever taken - no kidding. The food as well was simply fantastic and even dinner was free, included with the stay - I will miss this hotel and look forward to being able to go back :)

Good hotel as central as you could get in Umeå, also close to the river. Breakfast over expectations. There is a car park beneath the hotel (not included in the price though). This hotel has modern style like those sterile big hotels but managing to keep it much cozier. One minus was that the steam room in the relax was permanentely broken and this info wasn't updated on Hotels.com so we where dissapointed for this was one of the main reasons why we picked Clarion Hotel.

Excellent location, close walking to all, at 3 in afternoon they serve waffles, with strawberries, chocolate and whipped cream FREE, at 6 in the evening they serve a light dinner for Free. Nice perks. I checked 6 hotels online and they were the only one with self service laundry, so I chose them. I get to hotel and they only have laundry service available. The posting was wrong by the hotel (not Hotels.com) the hotel offered me free laundry for the mistake, which I thought was very nice. The next day i pick up my laundry and they now have to charge me, no big deal, but I was disappointed that the afternoon desk did not communicate with morning, so I paid. I would stay here again if I was in the area, room was nice and clean, an quiet hotel.

I arrived very early in the morning and the staff were very friendly and helpful - they made sure I could get into my room as soon as possible. The room itself was large, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was well worth the price as it was fresh and tasty, and there were a wide range of options available.

Mysigt hotell som ligger centralt men ändå är tyst och lugnt. Våfflorna man får göra till em-fikat smakade surt. Detta förklarades med att smeten gjordes på filmjölk. Smeten var oxå klumpig/grynig vilket förklarades med att det var havregryn i den. Kvällsmiddagen var däremot jättegod! Trevlig personal i repan!

Lugnt och fint, rymligt rum. Rent och fräscht; enda nackdelen var att matos - särskilt från eftermiddagsvåfflorna - spred sig en bra bit utanför restaurangen. Maten: frukostbuffén riklig och god, ett plus för grönsaker o frukt och smoothieshots samt gott rågbröd. Mycket vällagad, god, persiljedekorerad middag; kändes hemtrevligt. Och all personal var väldigt hjälpsamma, trevliga och vi fick bra tips om parkering i stan. Kommer gärna tillbaka!

Mysigt nästan familjärt hotel mitt i stan. Trevligt och hjälpsam personal i receptionen. Viss personal i restaurangen känns oengagerad, någon förstod knappt svenska. En gick runt med airpods och pratade i mobil samtidigt som hen arbetade bland gästerna. Den gratis kvällsbuffen som ingår i rumspriset var vid mitt besök en ren katastrof. Det serverades kall seg pommes frites med panerad fisk. Paneringen var blöt och seg, inuti en kall svampig grå/brun fiskfile. Efterföljande kväll serverades trist nog gratinerade makaroner med köttbullar och ketchup! Känns som all mat tillagas lång tid innan. Det bästa är frukost samt eftermiddagsfikat där kaffe och våfflor som man får grädda själv. Skohorn saknas på rummen.

Det var helt ok. Vi spenderade bara en natt på detta hotell. Hittade en insekt i sängen så blev lite avskräckt först. Maten var ok, det enda som var synd var att man fick torka av sitt eget bord efter middag/frukost för att nästa sällskap skulle få trevligt för personalen såg man inte. Det var buffé. Vissa gör ju inte det utan lämnar bara och om det inte kommer någon och plockar undan så...

Super trevlig personal, lugn och harmonisk miljö förutom att dörrarna in till rummen smäller igen högt. Bodde i ett djur vänligt rum där rummet var slitet på golv och lister. Sov kuddarna var extremt små, som kuddar man har i soffan. Önskar att det hade varit åtminstone normal stora kuddar, sängen var också väldigt mjuk.
Men ett stort och rymligt rum.
Minus att man blev väckt på morgonen av trafiken utanför.
Middagen var inte den bästa, pommes var degiga och kalla. God frukost dock.
