The property is very nice. We had a dread room with a lake view. Staff was always excellent, wine was great and the hotel is conveniently located to walk to all attractions in town. Instructions to park were also great, it was a 5min walk from the recommended street to park to the hotel.

My wife and I were first time visitors to Ohrid and originally had planned a one night stay. We enjoyed our stay so much that we were lucky enough to stay a second night at the B&B. The staff were highly communicative before and during our stay. It is a great location near all the sights of the Old Town. We really can't say enough about how accommodating the staff were and how great the location is. Wonderful breakfast also!

Overall, this hotel is a budget option and it feels like such when you get here. The lobby stuff is very nice however you’re not here 24/7. There is a WhatsApp number in front in order to contact them after hours. As for the room, the bed somewhat uncomfortable and very springy. The wall and windows are paper thin and all the noises from neighboring rooms and the outside are easily heard when you’re trying to sleep at night. I also hear a continuous sound of water that you can hear at night even when your AC is completely off.

Short weekend in Mysterious Ohrid

Great spot, friendly staff, parking is outside of the Old town, so you do have to walk a little from the car. Breakfast was great, with the local food spread. Service was great, not 24/7. Make sure to get two room keys, because if one stops working and you are out at night, it will be an issue getting back to the room. Emilija the manager was wonderful, thanks.

It was a wonderful stay in the historic Old City of Ohrid with beautiful vistas from our balcony of the city and lake. Exactly as expected and sought. Staff was tremendously helpful, outstanding rooms, clean and elegant and and the complimentary breakfast was made to order and very enjoyable. I highly, highly recommend Vila Mal Sveti Kliment

The hotel is literally in the middle of the village and it looks like a middle age era, it's amazing. The receptionist was extremely warm welcome with us, the hotel is well care and the balcony view it's absolutely beautiful. The amenities provided it was okayish we prefer to use our products. The room was clean and well organized, but for couple a warning: the bed it's not unify by the mattress or pillow top, so if you move to much there will be gap in the middle of the bed. Besides that it's extremely comfortable. The coffee break it's a bit \"poor\"but the staff is generous. If you choose to drink hot chocolate it will ne a good option, because it's made with hot water and not milk and they do not have small things as complementary food or drink. Just milk and espresso. I highly recommend this hotel despite the small improvements that can be made.

The B&B was very conveniently located. Few minutes walk to shopping, dinning and all the tourist attraction. One thing though that can use some improvment is the bathroom. Other than that no negatives or complain whatsoever. On the other hand, if you could not do stairs this location is not for you. This has nothing to do with the quality of the service, which was exceptional, this has to do with how the old city is build and the geography of the city.

The location is excellent. Close to everything. The only complain, if you could call that, are the stairs. It is not anybody's fault, that is the way the city is builded. The fact that I have problem with walking is different story all together. Over all no complains at all.

Loved our stay at this hotel. The AC worked, the bathrooms clean, and had breakfast included. Its in the heart of ohrid so you could walk anywhere. Only thing to be aware of is the parking situation. The hotel is in a no drive zone and parking situation is expensive and challenging

Stayed only 2 nights here but I wish we could have stayed longer! Emilija checked us in and she was extremely accommodating and so nice! The hotel is a bed and breakfast and when I say breakfast I mean it! There is a lady there that makes your breakfast however you like and brings it to your table with a smile on her face! I wish I got her name! The coffee machine made all sorts of coffee and was delicious! The room itself was a double and extremely clean! The bathroom modern and so so nice. Our stay was phenomenal and I highly recommend due to it's closeness to the action of Ohrid, but the fact that it's tucked away enough to be peaceful. The view from our top floor room was just amazing. Will go back if given the opportunity!

Absolute must stay at hotel. It’s in an area of town that feels like it popped out of a fairytale. Truly beautiful and spectacular. Our room was very romantic and overlooked a charming ancient church. We overlooked the Lake and the views from our balcony were breathtaking. We highly recommend this hotel!

Awesome hotel for the price paid

First thing to know if you are driving is that the hotel is in the old town and vehicles are generally not allowed. So luckily while figuring out how to get to the hotel someone told us we would have to park and walk. The hotel then told us where we could move our car to park for free. Once we got this straightened out we loved the hotel. Very nice looking in the heart of the old town. We had a nice dinner at the restaurant and breakfast was good as well.

Ideal location in the old town of Ohrid.
Most of the main sights are in a short walking distance.
Rooms are next door to winery - -we had a complimentary glass of wine on the night we arrived. We stayed for a few more local wines which were great.

It had an amazing view and little balcony to enjoy it. The room was well equiped with basic amenities, including a fridge and coffee station, great a/c, small safe. Very clean and modern. Breakfast and a welcome drink were included in the adjoining winery, and they were a great touch. Negatives could be the small size of the room and that it would be hard to access for less-able bodied people; although, this didn't bother us.

This was a fun place to stay in the old city. Luggage needs to be transported personally at the end as there is no parking. Walk is not so far. Area is charming. Staff was most helpful and friendly. The on duty person we dealt was Elena. Her English was amazing and she was full of good ideas and suggestions. Breakfasts were very healthy and tasty. This hotel is in the heart of summer activity and a stone's throw to any exciting or historic place. Rooms are small but comfy, nice bathrooms.

Fantastic location in Old Town with great access to the City Centre. Helpful staff and yummy breakfast. Preferred the first room I was in due to a larger bathroom, plus there was not much water pressure from the cold water bathroom tap in the second room I was in. Lots of door slamming and works on replacing the air conditioning did disturb my sleep. Great views from the rooms!

Fantastic Hotel and Great Wine

I love this hotel!!! The staff are fantastic, extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is great-the lady who makes you an omelette every day was lovely and always greeted you with a smile. The location is perfect, slap bang in the old town and a minute or two to the main Ohrid Square, the cathedral a couple of minutes in the opposite direction and a tad further to the beach and swimming in the lake. The room was clean and air conditioned, the 2 bed double room has a view overlooking the small chapel next door and the lake. Check in was easy as was checkout, and a taxi to the airport is EUR 10. Make sure you give wine tasting a go, wine is made in the hotel winery room and paired with tasty bruschetta a great way to start an evening. Lots to see nearby and loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance, all very reasonably priced (make that dirt cheap!). What can I say but get yourself to Ohrid before the crowds discover it and make sure you stay at this fantastic hotel :)

Excellent position for visiting the old town of Ohrid. Comfortable with winery next door. Enjoyed the free glass of wine offered in the winery. Later tried another glass of wine. They provided a parking voucher as no parking in the old town and we had to walk our bags to the hotel. Ohrid is spectacular. A negative was the lack of view of the lake from the hotel. Room also seemed a bit dark.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff - and a free glass of wine. Handy for pretty much everything in Ohrid. Don't think there is any parking though. The breakfast selection is quite limited but the food is good. room was very nice but bathroom was quite small and cramped. Wifi and showers good, nice and quiet.Hotel is up a hill with steps. I wouldn't recommend it if you have mobility difficulties but otherwise I most definitely would.

Located just above the main square this charming little hotel provided excellent accommodation with a quick breakfast and a welcome drink upn arrival. Great location and service. We stayed in the penthouse, although it took some effort to climb the stairs, the view of the town and bay were worth it. Highly recommended.

Great little hotel! Room was small but very nice! Water pressure was awesome and hot! Hotel staff was very laid back and didn't even require a credit card to check in. We just settled up when we checked out! Breakfast included plus wine tasting. Have to park your car down town about 4 minute easy walk. Wonderful town! Be sure a take a boat ride from the guys on the water front. Only pay about $10 euros per person.

Just an amazing experience. I've spent 100's of nights in hotels throughout the world, and this experience was one of the best. I spent 2 nights, 1 in economy double and 1 in penthouse suite.
I'll start with the positives:
Staff were friendly.
Room was clean.
The penthouse suite is amazing! The views, the condition, everything was great. Do note that the penthouse suite is on the third or fourth floor and there is no elevator, so if you are handicapped or have very heavy baggage this may be a small difficulty for you.
The winery next door is amazing, as are the staff. They are very knowledgeable about their home made products and will tell you the history of the grapes and the wine. They offer wine bottles for sale, so leave some room in your luggage. You will want to take some home. Helena (I believe she said her name was), was so helpful, cheerful, and knowledgeable. The winery offers some small snacks like cheese trays and bruschettas,
The owner was in the winery at night and we had a long discussion. He is an incredibly friendly and genuine man and even offered to take me on the lake on his boat the following morning. I took him up on the offer and we had a great time. This was all free of charge, just out of kindness. You can tell he really loves his city and his business.

The only negative I can think of is that the penthouse bathtub leaked quite a bit.

Other than this, the entire property is perfect.

Everyone really friendly and helpful, speaking perfect English as well as other European languages. If you're lucky enough you may have a pleasure to meet the owner and be tested to a wonderful homemade rakija.

We are so happy we found this hotel! Thanks hotels.com for having such a place in your catalogue. We had a magical time in Ohrid this weekend. We loved this Vila. The staff were friendly. The room was beautifully furnished - and - the view from the balcony was spectacular! We had a coffeemaker in the room - and it was wonderful to enjoy my morning coffee out there. The breakfast was delicious. But the most wonderful thing was that they recently opened a wine bar next to the hotel (same place where breakfast is served) and we were offered complimentary glasses of their wine. Later, we had a private wine tasting with the owner/wine enthusiast. The whole experience was fantastic. (the only thing to note is that the hotel is on a hill, and not accessible by car directly. so you will need to be able to walk up and down the hill. but i should also note that if you are going on a walking tour of Ohrid - you will be going up and down hills to see the churches, the fortress, etc, so there will be walking up and down hills regardless of where you stay and what you do. i very much appreciated the hotel's situation on the hill - as if gave us great views of the lake, mountains, tile roofs) I give the Vila my highest recommendation. And I hope we can return to Ohrid again some day

The hotel is centrally located really but in the quiet pedestrian street so you can relax but be in the center. One some inconvenience- the street is pedestrian only with cobblestone and the street goes high up so it could be a problem if you have heart or back problems plus add to it your luggage you need to drug- take it seriously into account. The price for the room was a little higher for Macedonia but it worth. One another good thing- the hotel have its own small vinery with a big room for the breakfast, it open till 20:00 and equipped with coffee maschine and juice so you can use it all time. The personal speak good English.

nice hotel; parking nightmare

We arrived in Ohrid and attempted to drive to the hotel as free parking was advertised. It is impossible to drive to the hotel and we became completely lost. I parked the car and after asking 5 people finally located the hotel. Yes they provide parking but no it is not at the hotel but is instead 5-10 minutes away. A staff member came with me, found a parking spot and guided us back to the hotel. Note-roller luggage and cobblestone streets do not do well together. But to be fair most hotels in the old section suffer from the same parking problem. Otherwise it was a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Great place with exceptional view

Villa is perfectly positioned right in the old center of Ohrid, a bit up the hill just enough to have perfect view but still easy even for elderly people to get to it. Staff was extremely welcoming, they even paid for a cab to get us to the villa from where we parked the car. We had room# 6 with little balcony with breath taking view. Room was clean, equipped with all we needed including slippers :-)
This place is very affordable and even though you can find much cheaper options, I would still recommend Mal Sveti Kliment!

We booked a room for four nights out of season. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon. It's a long way from the designated parking area. The room was fine (room 4) with a balcony, clean and furnished with old wooden furniture and a nice view. The bathroom was fine with a shower although it had a bit of mildew around the edges. There is no breakfast room, instead you place an order with the lady at reception who brings it to your room. This is fine if the weather is good because you can eat it on the balcony. Obviously not as good if you are in one of the rooms without a balcony or the weather is bad. We tried to order one of the special breakfasts off the menu the evening before but only one of the four choices was available. We were awoken early the next morning by workmen hammering down into the mountain beneath us. The noise was unbearable. They are building an extension or something. It was remarkably foolish to accept bookings while such extensive building work is going on. We ate breakfast in the room marveling at the row while miming at each other and occasionally shouting above the noise. We decided to leave immediately and went to a newer hotel directly on the lakeside. They offered us a small discount and a bottle of wine to put up with it but it was awful so we left. This guesthouse is expensive for Macedonia. We booked into a luxury lakeside hotel instead for the same cost.

A little tough to find parking since we arrived at night and the city was crowded. Other than that, loved the huge rooms, fantastic view, quiet area but super close to the action. Would stay there again if we ever return to Ohrid.

Great hotel close to all attractions (walkable)

Beautiful hotel, walking distance to all major attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was really good and prepared within minutes of ordering. The staff spoke English very well and went out of their way to help us. They have a parking permit for you to park on the street. we checked in very late and they were very accommodating, we highly recommend this hotel

You'll want to return

Perfectful delightful would describe this B & B. The cobblestone walk going up allowed for a view of tile roofs and quaint homes and then the lovely balconies of the B & B. Rooms were immaculate, beds very comfortable, great amenities, a complimentary glass of their homemade wine and a delicious breakfast. The view from the balcony while having breakfast made us want to definitely return. The house is very centrally located from the port and the pedestrian area. Walking uphill the same cobblestone street takes one to the fortress. By contacting the host before arriving one learns that you can receive a complimentary parking ticket for a location in the central area. Ohrid is a must place to visit.

Wonderful hotel in the historic city center

This was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever seen! You know it is a family owned hotel because everything was done with great care. The complementary wine and breakfast in bed would have been highlights if not for the balcony and spectacular view.

I thoroughly enjoyed both Ohrid and the stay at the Villa mal Sveti Kliment in the Old Town. Very charming. Eating breakfast on the balcony with a view of the other rooftops and the beauty of Lake Ohrid was something I will long remember. The staff is very accommodating. When I was late checking out (not recommended) they were very gracious and let me stay a little longer than even i had hoped. The room was clean, quaint but with modern facilities.

Great place in the heart of Ohrid

This is the perfect base for a stay in Ohrid, located just off one of the main streets in the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable with plenty of character. The welcome jug of wine and the in-room breakfast were very nice touches, and made our stay that little bit more special. If I returned to Ohrid I would definitely stay here again, the only thing I would change is I would probably pay the extra for a room with a balcony.

Can't praise enough!!

This hotel is amazing. The staff are lovely and warm people who make you feel at home from the onset. The rooms are very clean and best of all, you get breakfast in your room every day. They have a breakfast menu for you to choose what you want and it's included in the price of the hotel. Love this place so much and can't wait to come back again next year!

Nice, quiet place with very friendly service!

Place was very centrally located to everything you might need! Staff was incredibly friendly and greeted us with some locally made wine on our night of arrival! Showers could have stayed hot a bit longer, and ours may have been missing a piece.. but everything else was very clean and orderly!

great location in a quiet side lane

The apartment was a little tricky to find (no taxis are allowed through the narrow lane ways) and you will have to manoeuvre your luggage through the cobble stone streets and up a small hill to get to the apartment. So make sure you get directions/take a map with you. But once you are there, the staff is so lovely & friendly. The room was very clean and we had free wifi. It is in a very central location - only a 2 minute walk and you are at the start of the main Corso. A (less than) 5 minute walk down to the lake waterfront, with lots of cafes and restaurants. Our room was on the bottom floor, but the room above us would have had a spectacular view of the lake. It is in a quiet (and high) location, so you dont get any of the music/noise from the streets lower down to the water. It was a great stay.
