Such a charming place to stay! The rooms were clean, self check in was so easy..easy to walk to the center, many cafes around and historical places nearby! Also walking distance to the lake. Everything was great. My husband and i enjoyed our stay. Would love to come back. Love! Love! Love!

A perfect experience deserves a perfect score, this place is a gem. Perfect location in the old town, the instructions from the hotel and communication ahead of our visit were excellent. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and shown to our lovely room, everything you could need was there and in good condition, it was clean, spacious and had a private outdoor terrace width seating. The hotel had a cosy communal seating area with complimentary tea coffee and biscuits, a thoughtful touch that typifies the attention to detail shown everywhere. As you can guess, we loved our stay!

Clean and comfortable room, very nicely set up (plenty of storage, safe, iron + board, coffee/tea facilities, fridge, and so on). It was great having the coffee/snacks room on the ground floor. The Villa is really close to great restaurants, the lakeshore, and the Saint Sophia church. We truly enjoyed our stay, and we look forward to our next visit.

Great location, clean, balcony was lovely looking over the lake and self check in was easy and instructions clear. Nice to have coffee making facilities, biscuits and fruits available for guests at all times.
Bed a bit soft for my liking and unfortunately walls between rooms a bit paper thin - could hear the adjoining room’s shower and conversations which disrupted sleep.

Relaxing stay

Villa Varosh is in an ideal location. Situated in the heart of the old town and close to lots of restaurants and sightseeing. It’s a no frills hotel but perfect for a casual stay with thoughtful touches like the communal kitchen downstairs with coffee making facilities. Our balcony even had a partial view of the lake which was nice.

The villa is in a perfect location, with beautiful views over lake Ohrid, we stayed in room 202 with a balcony over looking the lake. The villa is modern, with a communal area downstairs, with free tea/coffee, fruit and biscuits. The owners are very friendly and helpful, all the sites are within easy walking distance, restaurants a few minutes walk away, we would highly recommend staying at villa Varosh.

First, I would like to start with the people who run this beautiful villa. They are incredibly sweet and hospitable, and blazing fast with their responses whenever I messaged an inquiry. Second of all, location, location, location! It’s just a steps away from the significant UNESCO World Heritage sites. I came here as a single mom traveling with my 6 year old son and felt incredibly safe and lucky I picked this place. I didn’t see a nicer accommodation in this part of old town than Villa Varosh! You won’t regret choosing this place.

Our stay was absolutely flawless from start to finish, and I can't recommend this place highly enough! The service was exceptional, and we particularly appreciated the thoughtful house rules enforcing quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. This made for a truly peaceful and restful experience. Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking tranquility, with the sole exception of groups looking to party late or families whose children might struggle to maintain quiet during these hours.

The hosts were incredibly attentive, regularly checking in to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. We enjoyed the well-appointed common room, especially the delicious cookies that were a delightful touch. The location is perfectly situated, offering easy access to historical sites and main streets, yet nestled on a quiet side street that ensures a serene environment.

The property boasts a beautiful garden, excellent security measures, and our room and beds were incredibly comfortable, complemented by spotless, fresh bathrooms. We also valued the eco-friendly press-button system that allowed us to conveniently choose when our room needed cleaning.

This establishment truly offers a fantastic experience, blending comfort, convenience, and a commitment to a peaceful atmosphere.

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel. The room was clean, spacious and elegantly decorated. I had a lovely view of lake Ohrid. The location is unbeatable, minutes away from the lake itself in old town Ohrid, although this makes it a bit hard to get to via car; recommend taking taxi instead of trying to drive yourself.
The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating.
My only complaint is the walls are a bit thin and I could hear almost everything in my neighbors room.

Most probably the best hotel we stayed in our whole trip through Serbia, Macedonia and Albania, a traditional Ohrid home restored and adapted as hotel bed & breakfast, the house and room are super clean and comfortable, small breakfast room for coffee and quick meals, the room is very comfortable, with all the amenities you need for a short break, the check-in and check-out experience was smooth and quick as the property liaises with you providing you instructions beforehand. The property is located right in the historic area of Ohrid, all the area around is beautiful, totally recommend and I praise the team managing this property, truly a 5* service and accommodation.

Property appeared to be newly renovated. Lovely apartment within easy walking distance to main square and many restaurants. Kitchen facilities in apartment were minimal, but we did not prepare any of our meals, so that was not an issue for us. Free public parking was very close by, but it was limited so no guarantee that a space would be available. Common area with a nice coffee machine serving all types of complimentary coffee drinks. Host was very friendly and very helpful. Great place to stay in Ohrid.

We saw the owner everyday. She was always very pleasant and also very helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect. Spotless and clean. Loved the common room where you could have a coffee and a cookie. We used that room every morning as well as our mid day coffee. Loved the fresh apples in the bowl. Great touch! She ordered us our cab when we were leaving. Loved this hotel and highly recommend it!

A Great Location In Ohrid

The hotel is located in the Old Town about 2/3 down the hill. We chose to take advantage of their free parking just outside the city walls and walk down but it is a bit of a trek. We were greeted by friendly staff and then taken to our room, which was very comfortable, clean and well-appointed. It had a lovely balcony and a view of the hill with the fortress. There was also a common room with some amenities and a common patio. Overall the location was great, near sights and restaurants. It was a great place to stay.

Villa Varosh is a beautiful well kept hotel. The room was well equipped with facilities to cook and extra bedding and towels in the cupboard. The owner was very friendly and helped us with our luggage as there is no lift. It is quiet but in the middle of the Old City with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Less than 5 minutes to the lake for a relaxing stroll. Highly recommend.

I booked this property for my parents and they were extremely satisfied with their stay. The property owner was very helpful and polite, she gave them her parking spot when they arrived. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, they had a great night sleep. The view was amazing! There were fresh fruits, coffee, tea, water and instant soups in the common area kitchen. My parents felt like home and they could't stop talking about how happy they felt during their 2 days stay at this property.

The staff at Villa Varosh, especially the owner, Branislav , was outstanding. We had a number of questions both before and during our stay and he always responded quickly and helped us with everything. For example, he found a guide to take us on a hike in the National Park. But everything else he did was great too. The Villa itself was very nice with good rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and everything was immaculate. There was a nice area to get coffee, tea, or soup and sit and relax. The view of the lake was gorgeous. I would highly recommend Villa Varosh for your stay in charming Ohrid.

I stayed at the penthouse for 2 nights, I would have loved to stay longer. The apartment was clean, there was a fully outfitted kitchen and the views of the lake and city were wonderful. The kitchen/reception area on the main floor offered drinks, biscuits and a few other items. Just a few steps from the premises are dining options, museums, the fortress and, of course, further down the street is Lake Ohrid and the lakeside boardwalk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Ohrid and that was in huge part because of our experience at Villa Varosh. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the view from our balcony was unmatched. The staff were kind and accommodating and allowed us to store our luggage after check-out while we explored the town before our bus ride. We were also very impressed with the amenities - large fridge in room, free coffee, tea, soups, etc. I highly recommend Villa Varosh - it is such a great value for the price.

The room was very clean and well decorated! It had a nice shower and the heating worked perfectly. The balcony also had a great view. While the parking is free, it is located off the property due to narrow streets. The distance isn’t far, but you do have to walk up a decent incline to get back to your car. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stay!

We were able to get laundry done on site for a very reasonable price. Overall great stay in a very quaint city.

If you prefer to stay in old town, Villa Varosh is the place to stay! Very very clean, cozy and sweet place with very friendly staff. Totally recommend it!

Honestly this was the most unique, nicest hotel I have ever been to! It was so clean and the rooms and property were beautiful! I literally felt like I was living in a dream! It could not have been a better location also! I already want to go back! Most hotels I book online usually don’t look very similar to the pictures posted and sometimes are a bit disappointing in real life, but vila varosh was better than I could have imagined !
