Our outside server was tremendous. I wish I had taken her name. As soon as we arrived she brought water to our dog. We paid cash, however it was fathers day on Sunday and we were about 12-12:30- if you could locate her we would love for you to recognize her for fabulous service and a wonderful smile. Our dog was Sophie in a pink carriage and she is blind. She brought a kids meal for her. Really best service ever!

We ended up getting an upgrade into one of the two bedroom two bathroom pillows due to the renovation on the main hotel. We were pleasantly surprised we felt like we were home. It was so nice so relaxing. Everything was amazing and we could literally walk right across the street to get something to eat at fresh salt or at the choo-choo lounge views of the water at home field by having a full kitchen and laundry felt like a great little mini vacation we’ve been there before and we will be back again. Bravo.

The hotel is beautiful. Staff are great. Everyone we met was super friendly from front desk to waitresses in the restaurant, to the very friendly cleaning staff and those working in the spa. Spa was very relaxing, clean and inviting. I would not hesitate to return.

Our group of 6 girlfriends had an amazing stay at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina. From the moment we arrived, we knew the weekend was going to be very special. The staff was always warm & welcoming. Shoutout to Scott
at reception for ensuring a perfect stay!

Dinner at Fresh Salt was delicious & the atmosphere was lively. Shuttle into town was a great option. Can’t wait to book another visit!

Room was gorgeous with a perfect view of the marina and the light house; the fireplace and cozy chairs with blankets were great - best to enjoy with a cup of delicious coffee and cake - which we did! We had the best salmon and pork chop of our lives!!! king size bed was comfortable and the bathroom was bright, well-appointed and spacious! Definitely order the breakfast in your room - you will NOT be disappointed! the Saybrook location is central - and allowed us to go thrifting, antiquing and catch the great Jimmy Greene at the Side Door - just 3 miles away from the resort! We are coming back soon!

Every time we go here it’s fantastic. The hotel is undergoing a renovation that will be completed the summer of 27. The rooms will have updated Wi-Fi and several other upgrades. This is still a fantastic destination. especially in the summer when you can sit outside and look at all the boats and enjoy a nice cold cocktail.

Spacious, clean room with water view! Anthony, the bellboy was awesome. He lifted our bags and shuttled us to and fro to The Kate in good time for our concert eve! The spa treatment was perfect. We loved taking a dip in the heated outdoor pool the next day!

We arrived around 5PM Friday night for an annual trip my best friend and I take every fall. This year I handled the planning and picked this hotel specifically for the historical charm, lovely hotel rooms, and serene views. I did quite a bit of research to select the perfect room. We like to feel like we are having a grown up sleepover in a sense (like the old days!) when we arrived we quickly found out we were upgraded from the requested double queen suite to a villa. Most people would probably be ecstatic to receive such an upgrade but we were not. The villa was very modern, very spacious, had separate bedrooms, kitchen, etc., and just wasn't the vibe we wanted. We asked for the manager, Peyton, who quickly helped. We were informed it's apparently very common and typical in all hotels that if events (such as a wedding) require blocks of hotel rooms, you will get bumped for them and as long as you are upgraded, this is acceptable. I have probably stayed in 100+ hotels in my life and did not know this was a thing. Luckily, she discovered a cancellation and was able to make it work for us and really save the trip. We couldn't praise Peyton and her efforts more. I hope she doesn't think too poorly of us (specifically me) for being less than sweet in that moment. Regardless, she came through for us and our stay was marvelous. She even called to check in later on, so kind. Saybrook Point Resort is special, we will definitely be back.

This hotel has everything!!! We went for a girls’ night away, and we never had to leave. The heated pools and steam/sauna rooms were wonderful. The on-site restaurants and room service options were delicious. Our room was very clean and cozy, especially with the service of a staff member starting a fire for us in the fireplace. Every single staff member was incredibly helpful, friendly and hospitable, making the entire stay 5 stars!

The location was great. So beautiful and the restaurant was great. Every meal we had and all the adult bevs were amazing.

The mattress , however, was terrible! My husband and I were without children on a fun trip, and we were super disappointed at how uncomfortable the bed was. It wasn’t just uncomfortable…both of us had tightness and pain in our backs. We did not sleep well at all which was the thing I was most looking forward to doing. Before leaving we checked the mattress and it was a 2007! Super disappointing.

It’s so much overpriced, the place is below average in many ways, building is so old and furniture is old too.
One elevator in each side which takes for ever to come.
You don’t get a single free meal with your stay.
Staff are respectful and nice but non helpful.
They don’t tell you anything about the property or what you can do.
It’s really not worth paying close to 600 a night and mind you we picked the luxury room.
I don’t recommend it, with half of the price you will find much better choices.

My husband used the spa and said it was excellent. The housekeeping staff was generally good - -forgot some tasks a couple of times. Front of the house staff excellent. Special shoutout to Jack!!

Very surprised that there was no inroom safe. Bathroom needs a remodel -needs taller counters…as well as a walk-in shower.

Parking can be challenging at times but manageable.

My fiancé and I recently spent a few nights at this beautiful hotel by the water in Old Saybrook, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. From start to finish, everything was exceptional.

The cleanliness throughout the property was flawless — every space felt fresh, spotless, and well cared for. It set the tone for a relaxing and worry-free stay.

The amenities were fantastic. We especially enjoyed the spa and the cozy common areas where we could unwind together. Everything was thoughtfully designed to create a luxurious and peaceful atmosphere.

The dining experience was another highlight. Every meal we had was delicious, with fresh ingredients, creative menus, and warm, attentive service. Whether it was breakfast with a view or a romantic dinner by candlelight, the setting made it all feel extra special.

What truly made the experience unforgettable was the view. Being right on the water, we were treated to stunning sunrises and serene evenings. Sitting together on the balcony, watching the sunset over the water, was one of the most peaceful and memorable parts of our trip.

We had an issue at check in. We booked the delux room and the hotel said they were sold out of those rooms and that they have issues with Expedia bookings frequently. We were given a room across from housekeeping that was noisy and extremely small with only a skylight window. The overall resort is beautiful and they invited us back for 1 night in the delux room which helped the experience.

It has been some time since we stayed at Old Saybrook Inn. This was not a pleasant stay. Our room was right by the lobby. And therefore we heard noise all the time the bathroom sink was plugged up. The chairs were stained. Our breakfast meal at Fresh Start was as poor. It has been 10 years since our last day. Unfortunately, this will be our last

Beautiful hotel but filled with non hotel guests.

The hotel was beautiful, on the marina. Our room was nicely decorated and everything was clean - view was amazing. The pool, sauna, etc. was overflowing with people who had \"memberships\" and not guests of the hotel. I would have appreciated more space for paying guests. Upon checking out, the front desk staff did not even ask if our stay was pleasant. Some warmth and pleasantness would have been nice.
