Hotel was okay but pretty old. Musty, heavy perfume smell, enough to have to change rooms.
Rooms were okay, check in staff was great. Didn't use any amenities, so can't speak to those.
Biggest problem was the lighting. It was so poor over the mirror, putting on makeup or anything else needing a reflection was poor. Couldn't see anything. Pretty major for a woman getting ready for an event.

Nice hotel staff

My 2 adult children and I drove to the Shelby area for a funeral. It was an 8 hour drive. The hotel staff was amazing and let us check into our room early. We arrived on Friday and left Sunday. The only issues we had were due to no fault of the hotel or staff. A guest apparently booked several rooms and had a child's birthday party in the indoor pool area. Due to the volume of parents and children, we were unable to enjoy the pool area which was disappointing. Friday was not the issue but the pool was completely full all day and into the night on Saturday. Also due to having a full hotel over the weekend, no breakfast was available.

Only reason to stay here is if visiting GWU. They take your CC for incidentals and there is no services offered at hotel. Hairdryer caught fire and they offered no apology when the manager came in. Night team did show some compassion. I took the hairdryer down stairs. I think it was already faulty because it was un plugged. Needed to sleep with windows open because of the fumes. No screens in windows so glad nothing flew in.

Someone needs to check the coffee, waffle mix, coffee additives regular. and other foods and drinks in the breakfast area. Like ever ten to fifthteen minutes.

I asked for a room on the second floor when I reserved my room and ended up with a room on the first floor, next to the vending machines, Why?

Could not find a newspaper as advertized in the hotel describe on any of the three day I stayed. A sunday newspaper would be nice in the lobby

3 nights at the AmericInn

2nd time I've stayed at this hotel now while visiting my daughter at GWU. Only a few minutes drive to the university and the centre of boiling springs. Easy check-in and the staff and super helpful and will assist you with any questions.

Rooms are large and well equipped with microwave and fridge as well as iron and ironning board. The house keeping staff also do a great job of cleaning the rooms each day.

The hotel is silent at night and the included breakfast i also found to be perfectly fine. There is also fresh coffee available 24hrs.

This was close to Gardner Webb in the country. Was hard to find. The place I planned to stay was close to Gardner Web in south Charlotte on Arrowhead Ave. Hardship for me to drive over hour to attend training. I dont know how room was switched. Front desk staff great cleanliness not so much

Ive stayed here 4 times in the last year as this is the closest hotel to my parents home. This place has the potential to be great but at this point I've had a few bad experiences cleanliness and upkeep wise so I'm thinking about staying somewhere farther away. Pros: good friendly service, good breakfast, indoor pool, good water pressure, quiet/ safe location. Cons: rooms arent always cleaned properly, bugs in our room, pool deck/changing room often dirty, pool shut down on 3 separate days we were here ( needed parts or needed chemicals). Things that dont necessarily matter to me but could make a difference.... all the windows / doors had finger prints or streaks, trash cans often overflowing (although i saw them emptied several times) parking lot always had a lot of litter, vaccuming could be done more often in rooms/ halls and staircases.

Two good things was that the towels were clean and white though small and thin. The other good thing was the weekend night shift desk clerk was very nice and helpful. Our room had no bath towels but she brought them to us and she offered to help carry our luggage upstairs. There is no elevator and it’s a 2 story hotel.
The hotel is old and tired. It needs to be renovated desperately. The hallway upstairs had a bad odor the whole time we were there. It didn’t appear that the carpet in the hallway was ever vacuumed. The bed was hard. The wing chair in the room was stained and gross. We went to breakfast one day out of 3. It wasn’t appealing at all. I needed hot water for my tea. Airpots don’t keep water hot enough for tea to properly steep. I asked the attendant if I could have hot water directly from the coffee machine. She said no then told the manager who had come in what I asked for. The manager says we don’t have that. I saw it in the kitchen area. They did have the red hot water tap on the coffee machine but she apparently didn’t understand or didn’t want to accommodate me. We won’t stay here again.

Older property in dire need of a complete refit. The beds were comfy and the sheets were clean. Plumbing in the showers was sloooow. The staff was very friendly. I would stay again for a quick overnight but not for more than that. Hopefully a refit is coming soon. The town of Boiling Springs is quaint and this motel is much needed.
