Well above my expectations! The rooms were clean and well furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful but didn’t speak much English. The breakfast buffet was excellent with made to order omelets. There is a big mall with lots of shopping and some excellent restaurants within walking distance. There is a basic gym and a nice pool. The property is beautifully landscaped. Nice annd quiet ant night. Overall a 4 star property!

The shower head must be change. No water at all and the shower in the middle does not help when someone is only wanting to wash their body. No water pressure and the head should he clean too. The shower had a bad smell when the water was opened. Like dirty water.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and the staff was top notch. They were a bit stingy with the coffee though. There was a coffee maker in the room and only gave us 2 complimentary packages of coffee grounds. We were there for 12 nights. I thought that was a bit strange but whatever, we still had a great stay.

The water in the toilets do not work and it was dirty. I was not able to check in because the room was not ready. When I came back that evening it wasn't ready either. The room key was deactivated every night and had to go get it activated.

I really enjoyed my stay at Áurea Hotel in Guadalajara. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and I loved having a kitchenette—it made the stay feel even more convenient and homey. What stood out the most was all the greenery around the property. The landscaping is beautiful and gives the hotel such a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. I’d definitely stay here again!

Horrible experience, the restaurant doesn’t allow you to substitute anything in the menu that is not negotiable. We ask for them to bring water to our room that was impossible I had to go to the restaurant and buy water. The drain in the bathroom didn’t work to the point when we took a shower the water came all the way to the room from the bathroom horrible experience I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The good the bad

The hotel itself was in good shape, and the rooms were clean. It felt safe, and the location was great—literally walking distance from La Perla mall, which is an awesome spot for breakfast or dinner. Definitely a must-visit.

My daughter enjoyed the pool, and there’s a small gym available if you want to get a quick workout in.

As for the staff, they were fine—not rude, but definitely not as friendly as some other reviews made them out to be. A bit on the snooty side at the front desk.

A couple of downsides: the pillows were seriously hard—like sleeping on rocks. Also, if you leave the bathroom door closed, you can sometimes smell sewer odor seeping in, which was pretty unpleasant.

Áurea is a nice hotel and I had a pleasant stay. The hotel grounds are quiet and very well maintained. Service is good and there appears to be constant cleaning. My room was roomy and comfortable. My shower had hot water and good water pressure. My bed was comfortable and clean. The only downside to my stay was that when the lights went out, without fail little cockroaches and other bugs would come out. If I turned on the lights there was usually a few crawling around. Maybe better fumigation is needed.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, las habitaciones están en muy buenas condiciones, desafortunadamente no pudimos disfrutar de la alberca porque había un tipo muy borracho con más personas en las mesas bebiendo y con botanas a lo grande (aún cuando hay letreros que dicen que está prohibido hacerlo) y con un ambiente muy pesado y no había nadie del hotel de seguridad que checar a eso. A las 4 de la mañana había gente haciendo mucho relajo gritando y bebiendo afuera de las habitaciones, tuve que salir a pedirles que guardaran silencio después de un buen rato ya que nadie del hotel estaba al pendiente de ello. El hotel bien pero les falta cuidado de estos detalles de seguridad para que todos los huéspedes puedan descansar y disfrutar

We really do like this hotel and stay here often when in Guadalajara. It's easy to get to, close to shopping and the highways for getting around, etc. However, the last 2 stays, including this one, we found the room without a single towel and had to call reception both times and ask for towels to be brought to the room. I mentioned it to the reception when we checked out. Not sure what's going on and why we would have to call and ask for what should already be in the room. Otherwise, a pleasant stay. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay here. We found the beds a bit uncomfortable and the internet not very reliable inside our room, but loved that it had a kitchen. The kitchen had nothing in it to cook with or eat with, but Walmart was only a 10 min walk and easy to find what we needed.

We've been to this hotel several times and have never had a problem. I will say that I don't think they should call this a Jr Suite w/kitchenette. The \"kitchenette\" didn't have a single pot, pan, spoon or fork in it. When I called to request a few spoons, Reception told me to call the restaurant and ask for one...very poor service. There was also not a single towel in the entire room when we arrived...so had to call Reception and ask for those as well. The staff member who brought them provided the best service as she also offered to go and get a few spoons as well. There's also no coffee maker in the room. Other than that, it was a nice stay. Thanks.
