The staff, Flavia is a sweetheart, very helpful and kind. She even helped carry our luggage, explained in great detail how everything works and even gave us historic background on the building itself as well as great places to eat and offered to get us tickets and a private taxi to show us around. Ana at the complementary breakfast is wonderful, ready to get us whatever we need, made me fresh eggs to order, very pleasant and kind. The room was amazing everything worked perfect, ice cold air and amazing bed, pillows and sheets. The bathroom has great water pressure, hand held shower faucet, and nice towels changed daily as well as our room cleaned without having to ask. The area is super safe, great central location, all in all an awesome place to stay, you won’t be disappointed, we will definitely be back. ❤️

Beware!!... I booked a room at Relais Della Porta and was put in a room at the inferior hotel next door (Relais Ammira) which I believe is the same owner. After 22 hours of travel, I was exhausted and didn't want to deal with it in the moment. The next day I was told that the room they gave me was bigger than the one I booked and had a jacuzzi tub. (I have no interest in a jacuzzi tub.). I booked a hotel with charm, and I got a hotel that felt like a dormitory. Ammira has NO charm. Since I was only staying 2 nights, I was not interested in changing rooms but would have appreciated some form of compensation, which they refused. I overpaid for what I got, I did not get the room I booked, and I definitely feel swindled.

Let's start with the positives:
The location can't be beat if wanting to explore Naple's historic center. Plenty of restaurants and shops were close by. The beds were the softest in all of my two weeks touring of Italy. I prefer my rooms cooler and the a/c unit was excellent. Bell hop and breakfast staff were so nice. Breakfast was good! Receptionist was able to arrange airport transport very easily and quickly.

The so-so(\"negatives\"):
The receptionist was a bit cold and indifferent. My room orientation was odd. I had to go up a narrow set up stairs after the elevator and an immediate step up when opening the room door. The bathroom orientation was also strange as it was long and narrow. There was a persistent musty/mildewy smell that did not get better after keeping the windows open. I saw most of the other rooms were in the regular hallways so perhaps those don't have these issues.

Clean room,but I had to walk up and down stairs to get to it.

Not good for my back and hard to carry luggage.

The hotel still appeared to be in refurbishing stage.
Was told it was a Very old palace.

Location was good. Able to walk to what we wanted to see.

Check other online searches for availability and room rate other than Expedia.
I paid $40. More than my travel companions who booked thru bookings.com
And they both had better accommodations
My room was standard , they had junior suite.

Not worth the price paid

Wanted to love this hotel, but the rooms have stairs which was difficult for my older group. You also have to enter through a small door behind a large door, take a coin-operated elevator to the 3rd floor to locate the hotel lobby which we found cumbersome, especially with luggage. Experience was not worth the price paid.

The property is brand new so the rooms and the breakfast area are good. There is more work to do to make it perfect, but the new bedrooms are very nice. Anna was very helpful, breakfast was great, and the room temps were adequate.

The property may seem dangerous from the outside because of the natural surroundings but behind the gates it's very safe and it is a unique hotel that starts on the third floor with a historic elevator that brings you up... the staff was tremendous ..Mauricio the night manager and everyone else there very accommodating. Historic rooms all unique.

Quick Stop In Napoli

This hotel service was excellent, breakfast was great, and the room was new and refreshing. This place is conveniently located in the middle of “downtown” Napoli. There are some drawbacks, the internet service is spotty and did not work many times… a huge inconvenience when we use our phones for maps, restaurants recommendations, booking taxis, etc. There’s also a $0.10 coin that is needed to go and down the elevator (which they provide for) that seems dated. Finally, our room’s main bed was in a loft. VERY inconvenient when having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night when half asleep and really difficult to do if one is an elderly person.

The staff was not friendly. The Wi-Fi at night was spotty, no WIFi the last night of our stay. One person said wine was included, but then we were charged at the end. I will not stay there again.

The hotel is beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was nice, but the unfriendly staff kind of ruins the experience. Also, our mini fridge was not working throughout our stay, and we really needed it for some small food items. We let them know, but they did not attempt to fix it or replace it.

The welcome at the property when we first arrived was excellent. We were welcomed by a lady called Estelle who explained the facilities and the interesting history of the hotel. She was always available for any questions we had and even recommended local places to eat and visit. We had a WhatsApp group to ask any questions or raise any issues which was a great idea. The facilities helped us to relax given how busy Naples is. The room was big and spacious and clean and it had a new smart TV. The use of plants in and around the hotel was an excellent idea. The breakfast area was recently renovated and it looks amazing with the high ceilings and original artwork. The breakfast host was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed when we had breakfast at the hotel. The hotel helped organise our transfer back to the airport which made life so much easier for us. In all, nothing was a problem for the team at this property. We would of course hope to visit in future if ever in Naples. Grazie.

Great stay!

What a place! I was a bit hesitant due to the recent reviews but my husband and I booked it anyway as it looked like a very central location and we do not regret it at all! The building looks normal on the outside and you walk in and the interior is worn down like every building in Naples. Once we get to the floor where the hotel is located and I was in Awe! Beautiful dining area, clean rooms and friendly staff! I would definitely stay here again. A lot of the major sites are walking distance and theres a delicious gelateria downstairs too!

confusing to get to the room. Reception was shut. When I got to speak to a person they made me feel like booking me a taxi would be a hassle for them. Couldn't even FIND breakfast. The room was far, far too big - it was like sleeping in an abandoned warehouse. Also needed repair on the walls, and was generally just really ugly.

Memorable Stay in Central Naples Location

Great location, surprisingly modern amenities behind the big old door of this former mansion, and plenty of outlets. Will never forget our first impressions: an 18-inch thick, 5-foot high access door cut into the imposing front door and the need to deposit 10 cents to get the elevator to 3rd floor reception desk. (We were there on holiday, so the need for 10 cents was waived.)

Relais Della Porta is a historical building (home of a 16th century scientist and philosopher) converted into a beautiful B&B apartments. The location is great, with many eateries and transport options nearby. Breakfast each day is substantial (full Italian breakfast with cooked American options). Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay in Naples

This is a lovely place to stay in central Naples. Our room was HUGE, with a giant bathroom. The breakfast was excellent. The metro is very close, and you are walking distance to the Archaeological Museum and the good pizza places on Via dei Tribunali. Just note that, because the inn is in an old building, there is a very \"quaint\" elevator, which costs 10 cents to ride! (The inn will gladly give you coins). And, after business hours, the street door of the palazzo is locked, and you will have to enter with a code through a tiny opening.

This hotel is in an old building in the center of town. The room was clean, service hospitable and the breakfast very nice. However, If u get in by car, there is nowhere to park or even wait. They need to come downstairs and help you with luggage while you go to park... their \"affiliated\" lot didn't honor the quoted price and was a walk away...

it is a very good hotel. The staff is excellent and always available to help. The breakfast is excellent, with a nice choice. The location is perfect since is in the city center in the middle of via Toledo.
The only disadvantage, it maybe the car parking space (sometime difficult to find on the street or to book in advance with a local garage)

The hotel was centrally located and was in immaculate condition. The rooms are large with all the modern comforts you would expect. What we didn't expect was rudeness from the staff, who asked us not to eat in our rooms and not to turn on the lights in the dining in order to have dinner.

Whilst I understand that we had a very large group with us (20 people), we were only staying for one night and had the staff been a bit more accommodating, we may have considered staying longer. Go for the location and stunning rooms, but be wary of the poor staff attitude.

A wonderful small hotel to stay at- in central Naples- I will be back!
The hotel is new- but has been thoughtfully renovated into a cool hotel- we loved staying here.
It is on Via Toledo- but the wonderful doors for the windows were effective. The staff were very warm, helpful and engaged.
The breakfast was beautiful with excellent coffee and a very good selection.

This isn't the posh bit of Naples, so the hotel is behind a strange door and pay 10c every time lift. But you can walk or Metro to anywhere in Naples in minutes. The reception on the 3rd floor is a little odd, but the staff are really good and the rooms immaculate and airy. Unless you can't do stairs, this place is highly recommended. The inclusive breakfast (7:30am to 10:30am) is generous.

Nice small friendly hotel in excellent location, well designed to fit modern rooms into historic fabric helpful and intelligent staff, decent breakfasts. My only reservation (about family room ) was lacj of prior warning about bedroom being on another level reached by metal stairway. OK for me but some might find impossible or worrying. Very good experience in great city.

Great Location and Beautiful Old Charm!

This B & B is in a great location, right by Piazza Carita on Via Toledo. Breakfast was nice (good coffee) in a beautiful room. Our room was very large, with the bed in a loft upstairs (that is the only downside, difficult to go up and down the stairs; would suggest they advise of that because older people could not stay here). Overall a very pleasant stay.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff who were always smiling and wanting to help. The location is excellent to walk to all the main sights and is 5 mins from metro station. The hotel is essentially a floor of a building with the building stairs and lift running through the two sides of the floor. Because of the layout and position of our room, it Felt like there weren’t many rooms around us and hence was very quiet but at the same time was only a few steps from reception. The room we had was very large, very clean and well designed and had lots of space for the 4 of us. The dining room was very grand and make sure you look up! All together a great choice, great location and a well run hotel.

Quirky Hotel in Bustling Area of Naples

This hotel was very interesting! Our room was nice and large, but quite basic compared to what a lot of the other rooms looked like online. The beds were very comfortable and the room had all of the essential amenities. The mini fridge is very small and already stocked (with an extra fee to consume any of it), so we had a difficult time storing our own water and drinks.

We got a bit lost trying to find it as we didn’t realize that you have to climb to the 3rd floor of the building to reach the reception. The doors to the building close in the evening and you have to use a code to get in. Same goes for the doors leading to the rooms after reception closes. The hotel is in a relatively convenient (though a bit busy) part of Naples.

All in all we had a pleasant stay.

La llegada fue inesperada, no había nadie del hotel en la puerta, tuvimos que conseguir una moneda de 10 Cts para poder subir el elevador que está en un edificio viejo y sin mantenimiento. El hotel por dentro es nuevo y está en muy buenas condiciones pero el edificio es viejo y mal mantenido… tendrían que tener a una persona en la puerta para recibirte. Nadie ayuda a cargar maletas en las escaleras. Una vez que te atienden son amables

This apartment service with breakfast is listed at hotels.cim as a hotel with bar and restaurant - it has neither. Not even a reception or place to relax outside your room. The rooms are nice and fresh - and the location is prime. Breakfast was nice but very very crowded if more than two rooms should decide to eat at a time. We had chosen differently if we knew - but had a great stay.

A entrada para o hotel merece mais informações, pois a placa de informação do hotel é minuscula. É assustador a chegada ao hotel, mas este surpreende ao adentrar ao mesmo. Antigo , mas bem conservado. O atendimento é muito bom, atenciosos. O café da manhã tambem surpreende pela qualidade dos produtos apresentados. Recomendo o hotel

Das Hotel liegt in einem Haus direkt an der belebten Einkaufstraße Via Toledo in der 3. Etage.
Wir wurden nett von den Eigentümern begrüßt und es wurde uns das Hotel gezeigt.
Wir durften ein Glück vor der eigentlichen Check in Zeit einchecken und bekamen ein wunderschönes Zimmer !
Das Zimmer was sehr modern und sauber !
Wir brauchten glutenfreies Frühstück, selbst darum wurde sich gekümmert !
Wir würden dieses Hotel immer wieder nehmen !
