We loved our stay here! First, the location was excellent and easy walking distance to many sights and places to see. Second, the staff was wonderful and helpful. Third, the breakfast was very tasty! I also have to say that everything was clean and ready for our visit. We were able to keep our luggage before check in on our arrival day and were able to store for the day before departure as well. I would highly recommend staying here and will stay next time I return to Napoli!

Francesca and the Melrose staff were hands on “All the time” Great location, only a few feet away from Spacca Napoli. Great Bars next to the location, great drinks. amazing vibe.
Family room was perfect for the 4 of us .

The private lobby on the 2nd floor converts this property into a luxurious experience adjacent to the Spaccanapoli. Below you’ll find open air bars with people meeting up with friends. It’s a very charming location. The breakfast in the morning can be delivered to your room or you will book an appointment with the staff for the breakfast room. The portions and options were very generous. Finally, we used this location as a base to walk down to the ferry and train stations. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk, but we were able to see Pompeii, Capri, and Positano all on separate days from this home base.

The receptionist Francesca is really friendly. We appreciate her service. The room is good , clean and comfortable. Only one down point is safe door is broken, so it kept opening.

The buffet breakfast is average, but Francesca made orange juice for us. We really appreciate it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Melrose. The hostess was absolutely wonderful. She checked us in smoothly when we got there and our room was totally ready for us. Then the next day she made a beautiful breakfast for us. There were groups before us and after us and boy was she hustling! She also ordered us a cab and was never too busy to help, even though she had so much to do. The location was excellent… Right in The heart of historic Naples. We walked to dinner and to our activities easily. I would highly recommend.

Location is very central, room was clean, the host was good but room we stayed in only had window to hotel hallway that had a loud elevator. We could hear the elevator and noise from main door opening all night. Hotel has bar right outside and we could hear a lot of noise on the weekend when the bar was very busy even though our room was on the inside of the hotel. I would not stay here again.

Hot, hot, hot!

This hotel is not one I'd return to. We stayed at their featured room, so we have 2 floors (2 small beds up some dangerous steps). Its down an alley that you can not get to via car and its in a business building. You need to whatsapp them with your arrival time so there is someone there, otherwise no one is on site or reachable. We got buzzed in and there is this small oldschool chained elevator. While I was going up with 2 luggages and my daughter, my husband was in the \"lobby\" stepping on cockroaches. Yes, you read that right. Cockroaches everything in the lobby of this building. We check in and walk into the room. Pretty room on first site but as youre in there it get hotter and hotter. The ac is no where near accurate to cool the room. We left for the remainder of the day and returned to a room that cool but not cold. During the night something happened and we all woke up in a sweat. The ac was not working. After calls to the employee who checked us in (who told us not to message him when he is not working), attempts to call the hotel via their phone number ( I called and hotels.com called all to unanswered phonecalls), the employee gave me the number to the owner. She sent over her elderly father to take a look. What was his response? to clean the filters. No actual handyman who know ACs came to check it out. The end result? A hot room.

The B&B. Was really nice. But unfortunately I slept on the top bunk. And woke up approximately 20 bites. I’m pretty sure it might be bed bugs.. I hate writing this review because the staff was nice. And every looked nice but itch that I feel it’s terrible. The other two people that I travel with slept on the main floor and they were fine.

Property and location were great. Stefano was over the top in making sure we were taken care of. The AC was not cooling and even after service, the room never really got cooler but we had the two story room with loft so we were made aware that it might not cool as well as regular rooms. Overall, great stay, highly recommend and would stay again.

It was a great location and cute room. However, the air conditioner did not work and it was 94 degrees in the room. They waited until 7:30pm to tell us they couldn't find someone to fix it and said they would refund money. (Still awaiting refund). We couldn't find close accomodations for 4 during busy season except one a ways out. However, we were only in Naples 2 days and lost a whole day on this situation. Can't refund my time or misery. Very sad. Missed seeing a lot of stuff and was miserable in the heat. Tried a cold shower, but water pressure was low. They did not assist with finding other rooms open or locations.

Naples is a busy place. The area around the hotel was no exception. Sound proofing was good, but needed to open the window to cool off and then it was loud until late.

Close to subway and lots of shopping and restaurants.

Hotel is nice but entrance to the building was in need of update and felt sketchy. Was not sure I was in the right place.

Breakfast was good but had to be scheduled. Only one table.

No place to pull up and drop off luggage as it is on a pedestrian only street.

Also staff is only on sight part of the day, mostly morning. If you need anything later in the day/ evening you are on your own.

Great location, friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast. It was also very quiet. The only down side was the bathroom door. The door is a frosted glass with a large gap at the bottom and top.

This is a great place for those who want to be close to good shopping, dining, and tourist attractions. It is only a 5-minute walk to the Dante metro station which can take you to other areas of the city and to the central train station. Stefano was very helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

This place gets top marks for a comfortable bed with a clean washroom and a fabulous host in Stefano. The location is ideal; close to the old part of the city and a short walk to the port. This is not a traditional full service hotel I. That the front desk is open on a daily schedule, however Stefano explained well how to access the hotel after hours and gave us a map of the area when we checked in. We had a lovely breakfast and espresso in the morning and Stefano arranged transport for us to Herculaneum and our next stop. We would recommend MelRose Napoli to anyone. Grazie Stefano!

Our room was simple but clean and nice in a very good location for walking to many things of interest. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning did not really work in our room, and even after running the A/C for several hours the room didn’t really cool down that much.

The hotel was very nice. The room is updated and modern. Limited hooks for towels and clothes. We stayed for three nights as part of a two week Italy vacation. The service was excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was limited. Our only issue was that our room had a loft with a twin bed where our son slept. The loft was hot (it was the middle of July and very hot). We were able to tolerate it by buying a fan and running the AC very low. So our son was okay and we were very cold. The hotel offered to change the room, but I think they’re all loft style. Just FYI if you plan to stay in the loft in summer. Otherwise, nice room.

This darling boutique hotel is perfect! The location makes everything walkable as many shops, restaurants, churches and key sights are right around you. The room (a quadruple, for our two adults/two teens) was stunning. Comfortable beds. Immaculate cleanliness. Most of all though, Stefano, the General Manager was most helpful. Life can throw curve balls and we had an issue with our AC. He quickly stepped in to help to make it better and make sure we were all comfortable. It was the very best in customer service. He also helped to arrange transportation for an early morning pickup to the airport. This place is a must stay that will complete your time in Napoli.

This was the worse experience we had in any stay in Italy during a 3 week trip. Stephan who worked reception was extremely rude & difficult to communicate with. The room was very small. It was difficult to walk in front of the bed. The twin bed at the top of the stairs was an uncomfortable. Breakfast was only served at specific time slots for 1/2 hr. You need to sign up early or you won’t be able to eat breakfast when you might want to. We didn’t find this to be very convenient.

We were greeted warmly at reception; everything was clearly explained. Especially nice was the wonderful explanation of the things to visit in the area.
At our request, they ordered a taxi for our 4 AM departure to the airport the next day, even requesting a taxi that would accept credit card (100% successful).
Great location.
The room was very nice and very comfortable. Hotel and room very clean.
Would definitely stay at Melrose Napoli again.

I was there at the end of September 2022 during a rainy season. I was in suite #2 and it smelled of sewer the entire visit and the noxious smell did waken me overnight. The staff poured bleach down the shower but I was sometimes dismissed when I was told I just needed to open the windows. When we switched to a bigger room to accommodate more persons room #5 was excellent.

This was a great guesthouse that is easily missed as it is in an alley and if you fly in during the evening, there are bars and action and not well identified. The communication was excellent in how to access the guest house after hours. The breakfast is continental [tea/coffee/juice with sweets and yoghurt, unlike the photos where meats and cheeses and fruits are displayed. We definitely felt we made an excellent decision to stay there and highly recommend.

Very cute property but our room was right in front of the check out desk (like 1 meter away) and there was zero sound proofing so we heard the receptionists talk all the time. Same for the windows to the outside, zero sound proofing and we were in an area that had bars & restaurants … so we heard the music and the conversations all night. Not much resting happened during our stay at this location.

This property looks like just like the pictures. Very clean and modern. Staff (Caterina and Martina) was very accommodating and friendly. From check in to check out there was constant communication which was very much appreciated. We ordered our breakfast the evening before and had it delivered to our room (our preference) or you could eat in the dining area which we never utilized. The air b n b is located in a building on the second floor. There are other tenants in the building, but they provide you with an electronic key to enter the building as well as to enter the floor where the suites are located and then you use the same electronic key to enter your room. Lots to see and do around the area. If you like to walk it’s about 20 minutes to the port Beverello if you are catching a ferry to Capri or one of the other islands. It was about a 6 min walk to the Santa Chiara which has beautiful majolica tiles in a lovely garden. The Via Toledo is right around the corner. Lots of shopping on that street and at one point it becomes a pedestrian thoroughfare and takes you to the sea. It’s about a 25 minute walk to Castel Sant Elmo (taking the funicular) which has the most amazing views of Naples, Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples from the top. We would stay here again!!

Employees are wonderful! And place is very clean.
They need to inform other residents to NOT talk on the corredor after 10 PM and to teach people on how to close the lift’s door as people kept slamming it all night long. I had to tell other residents to be more quiet as they were chatting and drinking in front of my bedroom. Also, they need to inform residents that the key card needs to be returned at the end of the stay as I was not told to do so. In the U.S, we don’t have to return the key card.
Everything else was wonderful and I recommend this hotel.

This little hidden gem of hotel is in the midst of city center and close to all main attractions but yet located on a quiet resident street. The hotel is on the second floor of an apartment building with security entry. The rooms were recently renovated and have nice modern sleek design features. Both Angela and Martina, the front desk staffs are excellent in providing directions and recommendation to the beautiful chaotic city of Naples. They delivered breakfast to your bedroom if you wanted instead of eating in the breakfast room. We throughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel and will book it again if we come back to Naples. Highly recommend you come to Naples.

Excellent staff. I thought Rita's pre arrival communication was excellent, her colleague Ornella's welcome reception was also first class. Room is newly renovated, though triple occupancy room a tad small for 3 adults. Location is perfect! But you will need to carry your luggage a short distance from the main road to the entrance of the apartment. Hard to wheel as the walkway is clobbered stones. Does not help if your driver do not carry luggage. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of an apartment, lifts available. Plus points are the staff service and location.
