The room was very clean, good breakfast, great location. I was sick at the end of my trip and reception called the doctor and provided a room for them to examine me (I had to check out before the doctor arrived). Overall a lovely stay - I was there for a work meeting over 3 days.

Very pleased with our stay. Greek hospitality is always something special. The front desk ladies, Vangelia, Christina & Natalie are a delight. Dimitris in the bar and the Breakfast room Captain and his staff were all diligent, friendly and professional. The location of the hotel is perfect those that love being on the seafront yet close to the new and old town.

Hotel in a perfect location! Right on Elli Beach and only a short 25 minute walk into the Old Town and harbour. Hotel was so lovely and offered a great choice of food in the buffet. Staff were attentive and helpful with a late check out. The room was lovely too with a good view of the swimming pool.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ibiscus. The front desk staff were pleasant and very helpful in finding things to do around the area, as well as calling us a taxi in the morning. The beach is right across the street and you can rent an umbrella and 2 sun beds for 20 euros for the day. It was a great view from the balcony of our room. The included breakfast was out of this world. They had any and everything you can think of to eat including made to order omelets and fresh bread that you cut yourself! It was a wonderful place to spend a few nights in Rhodes.

L’hôtel est très bien situé, pur une vue magnifique sur la mer. L’hôtel est très propre et le personnel se force à offrir un service personnalisé. J’y ai passé 6 jours et nous avons choisi l’option du buffet. Les menus son varié 3y excellent. C’est vraiment abordable, cela en vaut la peine. Je compte y retourner.

Good hotel with good facilities good buffet breakfast with very good selection.
We had one problem that was another guest in adjoining room who had the television very loud and ongoing to 2am or later disturbing our sleep when complaint to reception they told guest to reduce sound which she did for a while.

Overall, this hotel was great. The check-in experience was frustrating because there were several people waiting ahead of us who wanted to change rooms or had complicated check in requests and there was only one person on reception to deal with everything but once we’d checked in, everything was absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great - so much selection - and the rooms are light, clean, and airy.

Nice Hotel ,Good Value for money

Breakfast was excelent while dinner was not superb
The pool is small but they have a private beach nearby where you can bath and swim in the sea.
Service of the hotel is helpful and we made the pcr test for 35 euro as the dr came to our lobby and made the test for us.
They upgraded us for a room with a sea view for free

2 night stay in Rhodes Town

Hotel is in a great location at Elli Beach in Rhodes new town and a short walk from the Harbour and beautiful Old Town. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated with a comfy bed and a Balcony overlooking the Sea. Good service and selection of food at Breakfast. Reception area and communal areas looked a bit tired.

Staff very helpful and pleasant .
Hotel really could be doing with being modernised , pool very small . Room could have been cleaner . Shower was terrible.
Food was great and dinning room staff pleasant and efficient.
This is NOT a 4 star hotel.

The hotel rooms are old although the rest was ok, the wifi wasn't very good and it was difficult to get a connection (which you could only do in the lounge and on the terrace but the staff were marvellous and the location is ideal, across the road from the beach and a 5-8 minute walk into town where the shops, restaurants and bars were.

Comfortable clean hotel in excellent beach locatio

Basic and more than comfortable and very clean. Large room with balcony overlooking the sea. Excellent location.

Just an okey hotel

The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast and the staff at the breakfast, and ofcourse the location.
The rooms are ok, the bathroom are very old, the aircondition is not good and the television is tiny. If you pay extra for sea view you may end up with a 60% sea view. The staff in the bar/snack bar has bad service and the staff in the reception looks like they are mad all the time.
It is a big hotel with no soul.

Two weeks vacation in Rhodes

This hotel is not a four star hotel,maybe it was a four star hotel when it was built in 1960s.the condition of beds are very poor,the carpeting in the hallways and common areas needs replacement the refregirator in the room was so noisy that I had to unplug it before I go to bed every night .the best part of this hotel is the dining area staff they are very friendly and professional.Nick the manager of the food services at this hotel is a real asset to this hotel.he is the reason many guests feel good about this place.

Great view and service, average hotel

The best part of this hotel is the location. Beautiful views. Hotel bar area in front of the hotel is newly finished and looks great. As you go into the hotel and into the rooms, things start to to dated and obsolete. Front desk very helpful and kind. THe hotel room had two twin beds pushed together with two sets of twin sheets...not really king bed as promised. Mattress was hard as a rock. Bathroom was dated but clean and good water pressure. TV was barely operational but who needs a TV with the view out the window. The pool is so small it should be a kids only pool. If you go to Rhodos, go for the beach and other amenities, not for a 4 Star hotel.

Ensure if you are staying at this hotel to ask for a room with a view to the sea (esp if you are in a single room go for 121-521). The rooms with view to the pool are not worth the money.

The hotel furniture is old and not for a 4 star hotel, but the staff is friendly and makes up for the services.

The staff at this hotel were excellent. I developed a kidney infection whilst staying there. The staff were extremely kind and very supportive in directing us to pharmacy etc Their kindness and concern extended down to the head waiter in the main resturant who not only sent food requested to our room for me not provided on their room service menu but went to the trouble at breakfast the following morning of enquiring from me personally if I was feeling better. The food was excellent and the convenience to the beach was marvelous. Would definetly stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Hotel Ibiscus a good choice

I chose the Hotel Ibiscus because I wanted a well-located hotel in Rhodes Town. Ibiscus worked out great. It is located at the northern part of the city, about 10 minutes walk to most places in the New City and about 15 minutes walk to the Old (walled) City. There is a city bus that runs close to the hotel if you don't want to walk.
I opted for the half-board option because it was only a few euros more than the breakfast-only option. This also worked out well; the restaurant (buffet) was not bad and beer and wine was very reasonably priced.
The hotel is showing its age a bit but it's very clean and the service was very good.
Overall a good choice if you want a nice hotel in Rhodes Town rather than being located in a more remote location in Rhodes.

Recent stay in Rhodes

I'm just back from 12 days in sunny Rhodes. I sayed in 2 hotels - BlueSky for 8 days and Ibiscus (I changed from one to the other as daily room rates changed)
Both are fine for holiday purposes. Both are very convenient for the beach and night time entertainment. Both hotes were clean, well maintained and courteous staff.
Ibiscus is marginally closer to the beach (iterally across the road) and a better beach that that at BlueSky (pebbles rather than sand)
I would recommend both

Frommer was right as usual.!!

In 40 years of traveling, we have never been disappointed with a hotel that is recommended by Arthur Frommer. The Ibiscus was no exception. We paid a very reasonable rate for a sea view room. The price included a wonder buffet breakfast with a chef cooking eggs and crepes to order. Dinner was included and had cruise ship type cuisine (buffet dinner, that is.) Once again a chef was there cooking fresh paella one night and pork chops on the second night.
Staff were wonderful. The public areas of the hotel were very nice. Pool was small and in an interior courtyard. Most of the people at the hotel were German. The location is prime with water on two sides, the best beach and a short walk to the medieval walled city and port. Internet is not free, but the hotel sold reasonably priced access cards.

Hotel was expensive with hard twin size beds. Refrigerators in room but not powered. You must request that someone come turn your refrigerator on. Our request went answered. The lobby is nice, food was included which helped offset the cost of the hotel. Great location across from the beach and a short walk to Old Towne.

A Wonderful Surprise

Well, this was one of the nicest hotel stays we have ever had in the Greek Isles, and we have been to many hotels there as this is an annual outing for us. The big surprise is the excellent value that the hotel represented for the price charged. All the facilities were excellent, the food was excellent (Bkfst and dinner), and a live chef was present at all meals to make special preparations. All around excellence at a woderful location, right outside the old city walls on the beach, at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go back. Highly recommended.

Excellent, classy Hotel

The Hotel Ibiscus is hands down the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in in Europe. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as were the wait staff, who were always polite and eager to serve. Dinner was a little on the tame side, with more common types of food (still delicious, but the local cuisine is much more interesting). The room was spacious, in fact, let me explain that there was room enough for a breakfast table, 2 chairs, a double bed, a wardrobe and you still had room to do push-ups or, hell, even jumping jacks, spin around three times with your arms outstretched, get dizzy and be able to easily manage not to bump in to anything! The location also cannot be beat, as it is under a 10 minute walk to the harbor and old town. The only real drawback was the in-room shower, which was one of those corner jobs, perhaps 24\"x24\", with a shower curtain that didn't quite keep the water off the floor. In any case, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes.

Rodos’un merkezine çok yakındı. Sahil karşısındaydı. Şezlonlar günlük 20 Euro ydu çift kişilik. Otelin bağlantısı yoktu beachle. Denizi çok güzeldi. Temiz ve yosunsuz taşsız. Yüzmesi çok zevkliydi. Rodos’un diğer sahilleri çok dalgalıydı ama burası değildi. Otel temizliği gayet iyiydi. Her gün havlular ve çarşaf değiştirildi ve oda temizlendi. Kahvaltı yeterince çeşitliydi. Çalışanlar soğuktu ama.

Fint hotell. Veldig små rom, men rent. God aircondition. Svært lytt, så noe forstyrrende i søvn. Veldig bra beliggenhet til strand. Lite basseng, og blir fort skygge. Vennlig personale, men litt for vennlig av og til da de kan finne på å be deg på date.
