I recently had the pleasure of staying here for two separate reservations, and my experience, particularly during the second stay, was absolutely outstanding. The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the area without any hassle.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. They are super nice and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable—not just like a guest, but like good friends. It is clear that they genuinely care about your well-being and are consistently polite.
A special mention must go to Katerina. Her problem-solving skills and people skills are excellent, and she handled every detail with grace and efficiency. She is clearly a great leader and role model for the rest of the team, setting a high standard for hospitality.
To top it all off, the food is great. Every meal was delicious and well-prepared. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and high-quality stay!

Great Place, Amazing Breakfasts

What a wonderful experience at this hotel. Staff were polite, courteous, helpful and so obliging, nothing was any trouble. The room was so quiet and peaceful and the little things that added to our stay were so nice (wine, jams, cakes, fresh fruit). I can not fault this hotel at all and pleased to say that of all the places I have visited Mitsis was spot on from the minute of arrival to the minute we sadly had to leave, especially as you don't know what to expect, when check in late at night. The breakfasts were amazing and catered for every culinary taste in the book, including ice cream if you wanted. Thank you for making my holiday vacation a truly relaxing, no stress experience.

This was our first stay in Rhodes and thoroughly enjoyed at the Mitsis Petit Palais. The staff were all very welcoming, the room was clean and roomy. We were booked in for half board. The meals were of a good standard and variety. Would certainly consider staying here again. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for making it a great holiday.

There must be better hotels in Rhodes Town

We were shocked upon arrival at a Mitsis hotel - previously they have been excellent, but this is a hotel that time forget, very old style, the oil area was like a concrete jungle. We booked a room with a garden view- but there are no gardens!! Staff and food was good, also opposite was a massive Mitsis building site!!! Not happy never going back

Have stayed at Mitsis petite palace before and had a lovely time. Unfortunately on this occassion I did not realise there was extensive building work opposite, therefore felt quite dusty in the air. Despite this, I still enjoyed my stay. Food, rooms and location excellent.
The cocktails did not seem as strong as before but I enjoyed trying them.
It was lovely to see the same staff again, and they are a credit to the hotel.

Hotel is ideally situated for the beach and backs onto new town and is a short walking distance to old town. Food/restaurant did not cater well for gluten free with limited hot food options available and ‘dish’ labels/signs did not include info to let guests know what the GF options were; which meant the Chef had to come out of the kitchen and go through what the options were which seemed very inefficient. Majority of staff were friendly and hospitable however Andromachi on reception could do with some additional customer service training as she was not only rude to us, we witnessed her poor attitude to other guests as well during our stay. There is significant construction works going on opposite the hotel until end of summer 2026 which we were not advised about upon booking and the noise was disruptive during the day particularly if you like to go to the beach.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, they’re having to ask the staff to get a glass of orange juice seemed ridiculous. Why not just put it out with the rest of the buffet? Our rooms were on the sixth floor, one of us had a great room and the other had a much smaller room with significantly less storage. This was not fair given that we both paid the same. We both had a bad smell in the room (drainage) and although we raised the complaint we are not sure if anything effective was done because the smell persisted and we had to keep the patio doors open when we were in to make it bearable. We both experienced no hot water around 50% of the time. This could be because our rooms were up on the sixth floor We enjoyed the pool, but you had to be there within five minutes of opening because all the sunbeds would be gone. The gym was basic, a little tired and in a windowless room downstairs – not ideal with limited ventilation so did not use it as we had hoped to. The hotel lists Pilates and yoga as being offered when we enquired about this we were told that that was not the case. There is a massive building site opposite hotel with work going on seven days a week from early till late. This should definitely have been made clear to us when booking because it meant that sitting out on the balcony was not always a pleasant experience. Overall, we did enjoy our stay at this hotel but unfortunately the facilities and some of the maintenance did not

Small pool area will get very crowded in high season although there is access to private beach, 5 minute walk.

The property is a little tired e.g. cracked glass in the balcony door but it is clean.
The photos of the pool are a little deceptive, it is a pool but hardly a swimming pool. The hotel ad on Expedia says ‘Sun & fun on the beach’ & has photos of sunbeds on the beach. Whilst the hotel is only 3 minutes walk to the beach the Petit Palais does not offer sunbeds on the beach. The ad also states that ‘active travellers can enjoy amenities, such as fitness classes’ but there were no fitness classes .. until we pushed & we’re told we could join yoga at the Grand.
Anyway, enough of the negativity. The Petit Palais has a really lovely feel about it, it’s not so big that it’s impersonal. The dining was really good, with plenty of choice, & it’s great that you can pay small additional amounts to enjoy nice wines.
Most of the staff were great but we want to say a very special thank you to Nikos who went out of his way to ensure we had a great holiday. And also a mention to Dimitris at the Grand who was just altogether lovely.
Would we return? Most certainly yes if the package included access to sun beds on the beach.

The hotel is well located close to the beach and within easy walking distance of the beautiful old town and historical museums etc. Be aware that the advertised yoga and Pilates takes place at the nearby Mitsis Grand, next to their outdoor pool. It is very close by, but it was enough to put me off going. Plus, I didn’t fancy doing a downward dog out in the open, in front of sunbathers. I was glad we chose half board, rather than all-inclusive. The pool area is lovely (although sunworshippers note that it doesn’t get the sun all day) but quite small and I wouldn’t have wanted to feel I had to hang about there all day to make use of the inclusive drinks and snacks. The staff were lovely and let us stay in the room until evening on our final day, because my daughter had been sick most of the week with some kind of tummy bug/food poisoning, and she still needed to be in bed most of the time. Food at breakfast and dinner was fresh and reasonably varied. Good quality for buffet style, with plenty of salads and fresh fruit.

We liked the hotel very much but was disappointed in the 'garden'. We had requested a garden room thinking it would be on the edge of a garden. We did indeed have a small patio but beyond that was just a small gravelled area and some bushes. I had hoped to be able to sit in the garden as it is my preference to a pool. There was an additional very small area of grass attached to the covered sitting area of the hotel but this had no shade. But that was my only disappointment.

Lovely hotel in central position in Rhodes Town, enabling easy walking and shopping options. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the manager was very hands on, keeping an eye on everything.
The food on all inclusive was very good and varied and the pizzas were excellent. Drinks were great and never too much of a queue at the bars.
The pool was smallish and cool and there’s limited sunbathing area, but we managed despite the usual reserving of sun beds and then people only turned up in the afternoon to use them.
Really enjoyed our holiday here.

The Mitsis Petit Palais Hotel is a truly lovely hotel to stay at whilst in Rhodes. It is a very clean & welcoming hotel & the front desk staff are amazing. They will help with absolutely everything, from taking bags to & from the rooms, to organising sightseeing tours, to checking guests in with their airlines & transfer services for their return trip. The buffet restaurant is fabulous. The selection of food at every mealtime is extensive & very tasty. The hotel is located only a short walk away from the Old Town & there is so much to see & do in the immediate vicinity. The local beaches are also fabulous. All in all, we had a brilliant stay at the Mitsis Petit Palais.

Friendly, helpful staff, in particular the ladies in reception, the porters and restaurant staff, Manwell and Clara were especially attentive and welcoming at breakfast times. There was a problem with the booking, I had booked the garden room at an increased cost, we arrived Monday evening and was allocated a room on the 6th floor and told there were no garden rooms available, after speaking to the reservation manager the next day we were offered to move to a sea view room on Wednesday, we were shown the room but it was a smaller room on the 7th floor with no lift access to that floor so I decided to stay on the 6th floor. At the pool bar Alex was nice enough but felt he had his favourite customers. The main barman inside was rude on my first day, I was explaining I wanted a small amount of alcohol, at this point I wasn’t sure if alcohol was measured or not in this region, I explained the measures in England and was told ‘you’re not in England now, I felt that was a rude and unnecessary response. Other than that our stay was good.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic! Honestly they are the nicest most down to earth team at a hotel k have come across in Greece. The hotel itself is a bit old and run down but if you’re into retro vibes then this is it; but it is fine to sleep in. The food and location in the area is great and everything is super walkable. So if you’re okay with an average place to sleep in the heart of Rhodes then this is a good pick. If you’re more of a 5-star kind of person then look elsewhere.

Great stay, fab service. We were only there a few days before flying home. One observation...we appeciated the eco friendly linen changing signs in the rooms and bathrooms. We thought we followed those instructions but towels seemed to be changed anyway. It didn’t spoil our stay at all but perhaps a reminder to housekeeping might help. Thank you to all the staff.

Great hotel right in the middle of everything. Staff were excellent. Does not have the facilities of the larger hotels but the customer service makes up for what they do not have on offer. The location is great if you want to be in amongst everything. This is different to our experience at other Mitsis hotels which are more on the outside of the resorts. Depends what holiday you want. Pool is small but lively. Food also good. Drinks as you would expect for all inclusive.

The Mitsis Petit Palais Beach Hotel is a great hotel to stay in with nice friendly staff, and is in a good location close to the beach and peripheral to the more expensive old town area of Rhodes.

The food we had form breakfast, and different themed dinners every evening was excellent, served with a good service, and certainly had a great choice to choose from.

Only minor criticism would be that the outside pool area was a little bit small, and can easily get busy and filled up fast.

Very much a 3 * hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room is basic but very clean.
The real disappointment was the food. Did all inclusive but only had breakfast due to trying dinner and it being mediocre.
Pizza and salad was ok. Eating out is much better. The quality was much higher.
Never managed to get a bed by the pool. Always busy.

15 mins to old town
Staff: exceptionally warm, friendly and efficient

Value: I stayed AI and as food was very good this means excellent value for money including drinks

Mitsis Petit Palais is an exceptional hotel in a very good location.The staff was amazing,very friendly and helpful and always with a smile.The room and all the areas of the hotel were very clean.With the ''all inclusive'' vacation we had the opportunity to enjoy every day the rich breakfast and two excellent meals with a big variety of foods and beverages.The internet connection needs improvement. Many thanks to the hotel administration for the upgrade of our room to an excellent sea view room.

Great hotel.

Stayed here several times before, because we really like it. The service is on the whole great, just the waiters are a little too enthusiastic in taking empty plates away before your dining partner has finished eating. Bath towels are small, I think most people have bath sheets these days. Now... the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and have everything you need. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade. The bathroom was also spacious, clean and had enough space to put your stuff. Good size balcony. Lots of extra touches. Tastefull town centre hotel with lovely pool area. Great food, Will certainly be using this hotel again.

I had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent. I was able to walk to the beach and dined in the most beautiful restaurants near the hotel. I was also very delighted when I walked into my room and found a tray of sweets and a bottle of wine. That made me feel so special. The manager was so sweet and when I told her how happy I was with the hotel she sent over two beautiful mugs and coasters with the hotel logo. I drink my coffee in that mug everyday and think about my vacation in Rhodes!!! Absolutely wonderful!!!!

Disappointed with room…balcony rail loose, table damaged, wardrobe door faulty. Room doors definitely need to be fitted with soft close as had 90 minutes of banging doors late at night/early hours of morning

Every member of the team were superb, helpful and friendly from the reception, restaurant, pool bar team and even the lifeguard! All members of the team are a credit to the hotel and nothing was too much trouble.

The communal facilities are fine… just a little dated throughout. The rooms unfortunately weren’t up to scratch with a balcony light hanging dangerous from its wires. Such a shame as the hotel is perfectly located moments from the beach. Would visit again and recommend as it’s hard to find such excellent service from start to finish.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the fact that it was all inclusive. It was close to the sea, harbour and old town so there was plenty to do and see.

Clean, pleaseant, friendly. Staff couldnt be more helpful and were extremely patient in restaurant when dealing with very awkward guests!Great position, food excellent.room lovely.
On the downside the pool is very small for a hotel of this size and the usual problem of towels being left on sun beds from before breakfast until late afternoon with no one being there! Should be some monitoring system.
Not enough information for English visitors -all tour booklets were in German. Very much a German orientated hotel.
Could be windy in both foyer and in conservatory. Bit like a wind tunnel.

Close to old town,shops,short transfer,could be quite crowded I imagine during busier periods around the pool and food,food was ok but slightly limited I imagine because of the space available,staff were friendly,hotel spotless

First visit by myself and good friend. Ideal location as a few minutes walk from both coast, town centre etc. Compact town with something to suit all. Staff in all areas of the hotel were extremely pleasant and diligent, speedily resolving a minor issue we had. Hoping to return before long.

Great rooms, and some of the staff are nice enough. But the food was very unappetising, the same stuff seemed to be churned out again and again getting ever more disgusting looking.

They've made the best of the very small pool area but it has the most ridiculous fixed up umbrellas that shade 80% of the area, so a hotel in the sun with no sun! Also the bar area is very small and some of the entertainment is pretty appaling, particular the Friday night local screech, had to go out to escape it.

Also lots of door banging and shouting down the echoey corridors at 7am. Hotel seemed to be full of coach parties that weren't all inclusive.

Won't be stopping there again.

Great location and wonderful staff but food was very repetitive and limited. Absolutely no loungers free by the pool from first thing- everyone had reserved these with towels very early on and the pool area is very small with limited sun so this was a real drawback.

Great hotel close to old town and beach

The customer service at this hotel is exceptional from the staff on reception to the waiting staff they couldn't do enough to help us. The facilities are good and the food excellent - the pizza's in particular deserve a mention. My room was spacious and well laid out with a balcony. The hotel itself is in a quiet area 2 minutes from the beach and about 15 minutes easy walking to the Grand Masters Palace and old town. Excursions to Lindos and other sites can also be arranged from the hotel so there is lots to see and do. Overall Mitsis Petit Palais was excellent value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Don’t do it

The hotel good points were the staff on reception, the pizza oven and the bread. Also, it’s close to a good beach and the town.
Bad points, Our room wasnt cleaned properly in the 2 weeks we stayed.
The kitchen staff had no hygiene training, awful to see, cooking uncooked and cooked food on same grill, not washing hands after picking up food, the list goes on.
I had food poisoning in first 2 days, stopped using the restaurant for everything except breakfast after this.

First week ever in Greece

This is a decent hotel in a favourable location. Near the beaches (though don’t expect sand - it’s shingle) and plenty of nice bars and restaurants. The hotel seemed mostly all-inclusive, but we saw non of the mad, yobbish, stag-and-hen-party culture. Mind you, that might be because apart from the beer, the local spirits are ‘industrial’ to say the least. Most niggles are very minor - The pool area is just OK and can get busy, as it’s not really big enough for the size of hotel, but this seemed to sort itself out as so many go off somewhere on day trips. The food is good and the hotel made an effort by varying the country theme each day, but the meal area always got packed with people because - a bit like the pool area - it wasn’t big enough in serving areas and queues were a regular feature. All that said, the staff are amazing. So friendly and helpful and not just one of them-from the front desk to the pool bar, everyone was so nice. To be fair, we encountered this right across Rhodes and wondered if this had always been their culture, or whether it was due to recent economic crashes and the need for the tourist Euro, but whatever the reason it was a pleasant change from the more surly attitude towards tourists you find in some other European countries. The management were always visible, directing staff and helping with guest queries. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to the old town and main shops. All in all, a lovely break and we would return to Rhodes and this hotel!

In a good area

Been to the Petit Palais before, some things have improved but overall standards are well below par. The food at breakfast is just about okay, lunchtime food is the best, praise goes to the Pizza’s they where outstanding. Now the evening meals where very repetitive and the quality was below par for a well established 4 star hotel. Now for the staff who run the restaurant, arrogant, not helpful at all. I don’t know how many times we where asked for our room number by the same person (or was it because I was British, and didn’t fit in with the crowd). The improvement I saw the pool bar and the food around the pool.

My hotel in Rhodes

Good location for a city stay in Rhodes, staff were very good in all departments,they worked hard to please the customer. Room very good quality with just a few minor niggles. Food variety met all nationalities 6/10. Bad points, no gym, small pool, not enough room for more sunbeds (30 for 240 rooms) . Room doors need replacing the closing mechanisms to s card entry system. I would go BB 1st week then find good hotel away from city for second week.AI.

We booked a seaview junior suite. The seaview turned out to be a glimpse of the sea over the back of other hotels between two buildings. Not a good start. The receptionist said that I should have checked the hotel photos out. The room was just about OK but I would not have described it as a junior suite. The bar area was far too small as was the pool area. Breakfast was good Lunch and dinner only reasonable at best The staff were so busy they didn’t have r time to be sociable. Hotel was very clean and not for from the Old Town. We spent 3 nights at the Mistis before travelling to Symi. We had thought we would treat ourselves to a nice room with seaview and all inclusive. Most disappointed

Good location

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a solo traveller. It was in a good location but I found it very unfriendly. The staff were not very welcoming & I struggled to get served drinks, something which wasn’t a problem for the families & couples.

I had a balcony with a sea view which I thought would be lovely, but it was very very windy & the air con outlet was on the balcony so blew hot air onto you when you sat at the table. I believe the pool side is less windy.

The hotel was not particularly quiet, there were lots of people shouting in the corridor late at night and the sound of people dragging furniture in the room above you. Then in the morning there was the sound of the early risers talking loudly.

The shower over the bath was a terrible design & sprayed water all over the toilet & floor despite every attempt to avoid this. There were very strange noise coming from the bathroom ceiling every time I took a shower. Only shampoo & shower gel is provided, for 4 stars you think you would get conditioner or body lotion. The ‘hairdryer’ is utterly useless, take your own or utilise the windy balcony (it worked!).

The room was never particularly clean, there were two pairs of shoes under the bed & other dirt from a previous occupant & the bed sheets were stained.

The pool area was really small & full of people who had bagged all the loungers & again felt really unwelcoming for the single traveller.

The hotel is an easy walk to the Old Town and the beach.

My stay at Mitsis Petit hotel was pleasant. Wonderful and pleasant staffs always ready to help.
This hotel has a good location- all walking distance to sea, Old Town village ( a must to visit ), harbour ( Lots of excursions available). Across the hotel there are souvenirs shops and supermarkets ....
Room was clean, very comfortable bed.
Overall Food was good. Tasty oven pizza.
Daily at the pool, staffs come round with random watermelon, ice cream, fruits, cakes, sandwiches...
Would I stay again? Yes

Didn’t arrive till 3.30 am but received warm welcome. Helpful early morning call on time. Excellent breakfast with generous variety of options and v. Good quality food. Excellent value for money. Looking forward to less rushed overnight stay on our way home next week.

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay if you are in Rhodes town. All main town destinations are near. Rooms are cleaned on daily basis. Peasant&helpful staff. All smiles. Especially Emili at reception and Dimitry in the restaurant. The hotel has onsite pool and a pool bar where you can have a snack or a refreshing drink. At the main bar Voula treat you with a drink you like. Def I'll be back in the future.
