Great find. We booked two rooms for our family of 4 (includes two teenagers) for three nights, as from other reviews thought one room would be too small for our group (which if would have been). Worked really well, able to use the small kitchen for a basic meal, and bikes where a bonus. Lovely breakfast included from the very friendly cafe just opposite the hotel. Would recommend and stay there again.

Very Good Experience

It was a good experience overall. Clean and well managed apartment. They provided a comfortable crib. The Kitchen has 5he needed equipments. The only issue is that the apartment is not aound isolated, you can hear your next neighbors and people Infront of the door. The location is perfect, close to bus station and to groceries.

I like what this Hotel is trying to do by going minimalist and they have functional no frills accommodation.
My room was next to a family of 4. The walls and floors transmitted every cry, toy drop, chair scrape and jump made by the group.
Made for an interrupted sleep.
If you have more than one person in the room and would like to use the hotel bike provided be sure to ask well in advance of your stay or you will have to rent one from the central train station.
The neighbourhood is easy to get around and quite central to many tourist sites.
A great general store across the street or for more grocery options a Coop is a block away
Staff I interacted with were polite and very helpful
Kitchen has most items you will need except and oven or kettle. You can use a pot to boil water for tea or coffee.

Great idea but I will not stay again

The hotel was very clean and in a great location.

Despite having received the code to open the door to my room in advance it didn't work when I arrived. I had been travelling for hours, I was tired and just wanted to put away my luggage and have a shower so it was quite stressful and annoying to have to deal with it. Luckily it was resolved within 15 minutes but only because I managed to get hold of somebody who was still in the office, who could reprogram the door remotely.

I had booked a room facing the courtyard as I am sensitive to noise so I assumed the courtyard would be quieter than facing the street. The courtyard was lovely with lots of green plants but there was no light coming in to the flat. With the cement walls and grey kitchen it made me feel like I was living in a bunker and I had to have the lights on all the time, even during the day.

The flat is very cleverly furnished and it doesn't feel small.

Fun stay for family

Clean, cosy, lovely location, easy to check-in. Small space but had everything we needed. Well.... nearly everything. No mugs for tea, only tiny espresso cups. I do understand that in Sweden coffee is everything, but for tourists - mugs please:)!

The room was clean and comfortable. With access to a bike it was very close to the city centre and other amenities. Having only one bike per room was a bit of an inconvenience but we were able to rent cheaply from a local bike share company.

The concept of the hotel is really nice and the apartments look really nice. They are not really big, so I would recommend this place for either solo travellers or couples, but not families. The bed is really comfy and everything is clean.

However some basic things were missing in the kitchen such as a kettle, some oil or butter to cook with, handsoap in the kitchen and a brush to quickly do the dishes instead of the dish washer.

I had a very unpleasant experience too, as I was locked out of my apartment on the morning I was supposed to leave. I was taking out the trash, but when I returned the door code wasn't working anymore and my stuff was still inside. I tried to call the reception multiple times, but no one was answering. The reception was supposed to be open at 10 am, but the person was 20 minutes late due to a meeting??? So I had to wait outside for an hour and I wasn't able to reach anybody. I think this is unacceptable. What if this would have happened in late at night? There would be nobody who can help you.

A room with the required facilities. It is good if you are traveling with families. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for business travel. There werent enough bikes in the place. Owner said he will have one for each room in the future, and I ought to have selected it when I booked the hotel. Not sure, if I saw an option in Expedia for it.

Real Neighbourhood Stay.

Wonderful to have a little kitchen. Bed comfortable. The stairs are steep, so take care on them. Away from main tourist area which allows for neighbourhood feel. There is a large grocery store close by.

Für meinen Geschmack könnte es insgesamt heller sein. Die Lampen waren teilweise funktionsuntüchtig und die wenigen anderen schenkten uns nur wenig Licht.
Die Mülltrennung im Müllraum war toll! Ich würde mir wünschen, dass dann im Apartment auch die Möglichkeit für Mülltrennung bestünde (es gab nur einen Müllsack, deshalb konnten wir dann nicht trennen).

Purtroppo è stata un'esperienza molto negativa. Gli appartamenti, in particolare il nostro sul restro, sono dei loculi bui e claustrofobici. Mancano di luce naturale perché le finestre sono troppo piccole, le piante fuori troppo rigogliose e la luce artificiale bassissima. Inoltre anche la pulizia lascia a desiderare, le ragnatele non erano state tolte, la lavastoviglie conteva piatti non lavati. Il phon dei capelli non è in dotazione ma va richiesto, per cui se ti accorgi di sera devi aspettare il giorno dopo per lavarti i capelli. Inoltre tanti altri particolari potrebbero essere più curati, i piatti sono tutti spaiati, non c'è shampoo, il terzo letto non era pronto e abbiamo dovuto farlo noi... a quel prezzo mi aspettavo molto di più. Abbiamo dormito in ostelli più economici decisamente più belli e confortevoli. Peccato perché fuori è molto accattivante e il quartiere decisamente bello.

For this price in my opinion the flat was not worth it. It was quite dirty on the ground floor and the beds where squeaking and cracking.
The breakfast is solid but nothing special since it is prepared by a very small restaurant.

Nevertheless it is very central and easy to reach with public transportation. Area is also very new and nice with a supermarket close the hotel and a big playground area for kids. Also a small kiosk is very close which is quite convenient.

Without those benefits this would have been to pricey.

Bra boende med cykel och god frukost!

Vore bra med lite städgrejer typ en sopborste om man skulle behöva.

En hel del damm och gammalt skräp på olika ställen i lägenheten.

Jag bokade för 3 men det va bara iordninggjort för 2. Skulle gärna ha velat haft 3 sängar bäddade exempelvis.

Inga jätte grejer, men det hade höjt helhetsintrycket.

Annars gillade vi boendet! Läget är fantastiskt bra! Cykeln va pricken över i:et, den använde vi mycket. Hade gärna hyrt någon till, så lite mer info kring hur man gör det hade också uppskattats.

Vi kommet säkert tebax!

Fint til en kort ferie. Der var en lånecykel tilknyttet hver lejlighed. Der var ikke meget plads, hvis man skal sove under trappen - min søn på 15 kunne knapt være der.
Der er skatepark lige overfor lejligheden med rigtig god stemning, men ingen larm derfra.
Morgenmaden indtog man på en café ved siden af skateparken. Det virkede tilfældigt opstillet på nogle reoler - og masser af bier, der sad i maden. Det var nemt, men ikke specielt godt.

Mkt bra boende

Fint boende med sköna sängar. Stort minus att en person får blåsa upp och sova på en luftmadrass om man är fyra stycken. Detta bör stå innan man bokat och betalat. Förutom det ligger boendet i ett fantastiskt lugnt och fint område med närhet till allt. Frukosten är den bästa vi ätit på hotell, minimalistisk med perfekt utvalda produkter även alternativ vid glutenallergi.

Jag hade förväntat mig annat när jag bokade denna hotel! Jag tänkte att det skulle vara kompakt och litet men bekvämt och rent! Jag tänker att det är inte så lite man betalar!
Ganska dålig skick på väggarna som hade hål samt golvet! Städningen var inte i den standard som man förväntar sig. Barnen var besvikna när vi kom fram eftersom hängmattan som fanns på bilderna vid bokningen fanns inte! Fanns inte heller cykelhjälmar som också var på bilder och vi hade bara en cykel. Man behöver båda själv enkelsängen
Det fanns inte möjlighet för late check out , vilket vi förstår men inte heller någon möjlighet att lämna bagage ett par timmar efter!
Läget var jättebra och supermysig området, nära vattnet! Det var mysigt att bo kompakt, tycker vi
Tänker att det finns mycket potential att göra hotellet suveränt

Bra läge när eget kök behövs.

Inte ljudisolerat som påstås. En vägg är innervägg (andra betong) och det övre trägolvet och skrapande stolar gör att du mycket väl hör allt stök från grannar. Golvet lite grusigt, men ok. Gratis presskaffe ett plus! Dålig effekt i spisplattor undermåligt. Läget är svårslaget och tuff planlösning på få kvadrat :) enklaste in/utcheckningen! trevlig enkel frukost tvärs över gatan. Skulle bo igen.

Ihan OK hotelli n. 1,5 km päässä keskustata. sissänpääsy koodilla, ei respaa tai muita palveluita. Sympaattinen kämppä jossa vuoteet kolmelle, kylpyhuone ja keittiö. Vuoteet jättivät toivomisen varaa. Muuten ihan OK.

Maybe bring blinds and earplugs

The curtains were broken and with lamps just outside, the room was lit up all night.
Theres a continous sounds of water running in pipes all night long. So we’ve been awake a lot.
The beds are fine. We didn’t use the small kitchen.

Vi kom sent och lämnade tidigt men det var idel positiva överraskningar!
Enkel incheckning med kod och hängmattan i köket (!) blev snabbt barnens favorit.
Superfin service hos frukostpartnern Le Boxx över gatan, trots att vi var där en god stund innan frukosten egentligen öppnade.

Upplevde att städningen inte var helt ok. Det var hår på badrumsgolvet. Dubbelsängen vickade om man satt på kanten. Det bör åtgärdas.
Badrumsdörren var trög och svåröppnad. Bör bytas ut.

Had some issues with the door code when checking in but we were helped within 10min. The bed was comfortable, but no tv or radio in the space.
Not very sound proof from outside but it’s a calm area so not too noisy. The bathroom is next to the bed and not soundproof at all…

Väldigt mysigt och bra optimerad planlösning. Smidig incheckning och smart koncept med cykelhotell! Den enda kritik jag kan ge är att toaletten inte hade lås och skulle varit en fin bonus med TV i rummet. Annars helt fantastiskt!

Bra beliggenhet og standard

Veldig sentralt på vestre havnen, bra med parkering rett i nærheten. Vi parkerte i p-huset Fullriggaren. God kommunikasjon med hotellet, enkel innsjekking via Mail.
Fint å kunne lage frokost selv. Veldig god seng. Vet at ett vennepar måtte ha en luftmadrass til et av barna da det kun er 3 senger, det var visst ikke like ok. Kanskje bedre å velge noe annet hvis man er flere enn 3 personer.

Prisvärt super läge

Jättebra läge. Nära till restauranger, fik, matvarubutiker och centrum. Bra pris. Compact living. Enda vi saknade var två cyklar/lägenheten. Fanns bara en, men de var snälla och fixade en extra sista dagen. Malmö är perfekt att cykla i!

Vi var 4 stycken och bokat till 4 men det som fördärva hela vår vistelse var fanns bara 3 sängar , och vi hade liksom ingen vi kunde sova över hos detta var inte alls roligt . Jag tycker vi ska ha kompensation för detta det är viktigt och veta när man bokat att man har någonstans att ligga över .fanns en häng natta men var ingen av oss som kunde ligga en hel natt väldigt tråkigt

Ok, med lidt mangler...

Egentlig et ok lejlighedshotel, dog med et par minusser: Interiøret er fint og ok moderne, sengen er udemærket og ligger centralt i Västra Hamnen (Byens vestlige havneområde) med en del restauranter og take-aways samt gode indkøbsmulighedder lige om hjørnet. Fint med en cykel pr. værelse/lejlighed, og dørkoden fungerer super godt.

På minussiden: Der er ingen reception, værelserne har direkte indgang fra gadeplan, soveområdet ligger i kælderplan, de ellers fine mørklægningsgardiner er for korte i den ene side, så lys + meget nysgerrige blikke kan i princippet kigge ind til soveområdet (Jeg placerede en pose for at dække for nederste del af vinduet, virkede fint). Hovedlampen mellem etagerne virkede ikke.

OBS: Der er på mystisk vis ingen elkedel!!! Jeg skrev til receptionen, via den email de sender ud med dørkoden, og de svarede at man bare skal koge vand til kaffen i en gryde!!!

Microovnen virkede ikke, men det var ifølge receptionen mig den var gal med, da der angiveligt dkulle være en knap der skulle trykkes på et sted som jeg dog ikke kan finde!
Køkkengulvet var beskidt og super klistret omkring bordet, spisebordet var heller ikke rengjort, så jeg måtte selv i gang med rengøringen....

De beklagede, men intet andet end det...

Hvis de får styr på ovennævnte, så tænker jeg det er et perfekt sted om sommeren. Jeg tager dog et hotel næste gang.

Det var kun sengen som lige havde en lille fejl, det ene ben var defekt og gjorde at man skulle være obs på hvor man satte sig.

Familjetrip till Malmö!

Coolt boende i en intressant stadsdel (dock utanför citykärnan). Nice med hängmatta i köket. Bra med pentry.
Enda minut var att ena sängen inte var bäddad när vi kom. Sängkläder låg dock ovanpå så vi kunde bädda själva.

Coolt boende

Väldigt coolt boende som helhet. Var lite udda porslin och saknades framförallt bra glas för öl och vin, men fungerade för oss som bara stannade en natt. Hade tänkt nyttja cykeln för att parkera utanför stan till ett lägre pris. Cykeln var dock låst med lås utanför Hotellets egna. Hade en bra diskussion med Hotetellet som hjälpte mig lösa situationen.

Väldigt bra boende

Trevlig lägenhet med enkel tillgång direkt från gatan. Snabbt och smidigt att komma åt genom kodlås som i förväg skickats ut.

Trevligt område med matbutiker i närheten och kort gångavstånd till centrum eller nedåt Ribersborgsstranden.

Saknade viss utrustning i köket så som kaffebryggare.

Älskar Ohboy!

Vi hade det fantastisk! (Även om vi välkomnades silverfisk på golvet i köket när vi tände lampan).
Lite tandkrämsspår och ett hårstrå i handfatet i badrummet, annars var allt superb. Vi kommer tillbaka för vi älskar ohboy. Vi hade önskat rum mot gatan och det fick vi.
Man får mycket för pengarna eftersom rymden på rummet är dynamiskt, läget fantastiskt och Wi-Fi ingår. Kan inte bli bättre.
Funderade på vattenkokare men usch nej bättre att det inte finns. För man vet aldrig vad folk kokar i dem och det går inte att göra rent som en kastrull. Så tipset är att Ohboy inte ska köpa in vattenkokare nånsin. Men en stekspade vore käckt.

Das Appartment liegt in einem neuen tollen Quartier. Nur ist die Einrichtung der Küche sehr rarr. Mussten zu IKEA und Geschirr und anders kaufen, damit wir kochen konnten. Ansonsten trendig aber na ja.

Bra hotell, lite litet men smart planlösning. Var där med mina tonåringar på minisemester juli 2020.
Jag saknade helkroppsspegel, hårtork och endast en cykel. Hade gått att fråga efter fler cyklar, men orkade inte ringa och greja. Hårtork fanns också om en frågade efter det.
Obs att det inte finns tv eller så - tips är att ta med egen högtalare så en får lite underhållning.
Inga toalettartiklar, så ta med egna. Terassen är uteplatsen framför ditt rum.
Riktigt bra kök - Micro, frysfack, liten kyl, kokplattor och diskmaskin. Går att laga mat till några personer.
Nära och bra till skateparken, västra hamnen, lekplats och Ica maxi. Gångavstånd till stan.
Nytt och fräscht. Rekommenderas.
Bra ljudisolerat.

I could not have had a greater time in Malmö/Copenhagen, and Ohboy Hotell has its share. A tiny but modern loft which provided a well equipped kitchen (upstairs) and a very comfortable bed and a spacy bathroom (downstairs). In fact, I felt as having my own castle. Most remarkable is that a bike was included in the prince which allowed me to go quickly to each corner of Malmö. Even greater, as the bike is foldable, it can be taken on the train to Copenhagen for free. All in all, I am happy to have chosen Malmö as place to stay (instead of Copenhagen), as Malmö (especially the area of Västra Hamnen where the hotel is located) appeared to me way more relaxed and chilled and I loved to be so close to the sea and the promenades.
Last but not least I want to highlight the exceptional friendliness of the reception personnel, they always did their best to support me and gave great advices. So, thanks a lot to the Ohboy team - I will chose this hotel again if I will visit Malmö once more.

Malmö when it's best

The room was perfect for our needs (2 adults and a 10yo)! The hotel is located in what seems to me like one of Malmö's best areas, if you're into architecture, skateboarding and different sea side activities like wake boarding etc. The skate park just opposite the hotel is impressively big and great for skaters of any age.
