What a wonderful stay! The only down side was not staying longer. We have a family of 5, three children under 13. You and The Sea has amenities for everyone - pools, playground, skate park, direct access to beach across the street, hen house and beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Spacious suite for our family and absolutely delicious fresh breakfast. Definitely recommend and stay again, washer was a plus but bring your own detergent pods. Communication with reception was 24 h and they were so helpful and responsive.

I was not given any VIP amenities or treatment. I earned it but it was overlooked. The property, since I was last there when it opened, has deteriorated and it’s not as I remembered it. The front desk service team lack excitement and enthusiasm and that creates an energy that’s anti-vacation. The experience could be better because we’re in Portugal, for goodness sake. The spirit is mediocre at best. The housekeeping team seemed annoyed to clean our room. The front desk team seems uninterested in ensuring our stay was unforgettable. The trash outside was riddled with birds pecking off it bc the trash was strewn around it. Food spillage around the can—hose it down. I was sad to return almost seven years later and find it sub-par. The dining room staff—the young lady with the pony tail had an air of superiority and seemed annoyed that we would come down and ask for an omelette. I almost hated to go down for breakfast and see her. I won’t be back. The only highlight was checking out and getting help from the young man at the front desk at 5/6 AM. He’s your star player! Best human there and the spa lady! She’s a gem!

We had a lovely 10 night stay at You and the sea. Apartments are huge! We had an 2 bed and there was loads of space, which was great. All the staff were excellent and tend to every need. We booked surf lessons through the hotel which were great as well. Great facilities for adults and kids. Short work to South Beach which was lovely and generally quiet until late afternoon when the locals came down. Walkable distance into Ericeira, but Uber taxi is cheap alternative. Loads of great beaches a short driver away.

Also our balcony was very small and didn’t catch much sun, would advise asking for a south facing room or a balcony with good sun coverage. TBH these didn’t spoil our trip at all and would stay here again and again.

The hotel building itself is excellent. The rooms are modern and spacious, the facilities are overall very good, and it’s in a great location. But for the money, the staff are woefully inept and undertrained, and this spoilt the whole experience for us. The first day was ruined by the multiple ways in which they messed up the car rental, resulting in two expensive taxi rides, only one of which they offered to pay for. Multiple times I had to point out the Turkish bath timer had turned off. The restaurant staff knew nothing about the menus (neither the food nor the wine), which resulted in confusion and mistakes every time we ate. We were only there for four days, but by the end we were looking for any excuse to get out of the hotel to avoid any more debacles. Thoroughly disappointed with the whole experience. Fixing the issues above would turn it into a real gym, but as it was, we feel ripped off considering how much we spent.

Beautiful upgrade to one bedroom apt- with balcony, thank you! Very comfy, clean, great bed and linens, full kitchen with laundry (!!), garage parking at no cost, excellent breakfast buffet and a la cart, private beach access, great staff. What’s not to love?

We just had an incredible four nights at You and the Sea. The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms far surpassed our expectations. We stayed in two separate two bedroom suites and both were huge, beautifully decorated and equipped with anything you could need.
The breakfast was amazing and we had a great dinner on site as well. The hotel is a 15 min walk along a gorgeous sea wall into town.

Stayed in two-bed, two bathroom sea view apartment. The apartment was huge! Very spacious and the biggest balcony I have ever seen with a lovely sea view.
Modern bathrooms with a nice walk-in shower in the en-suite and full bathroom for the other. Slippers and robes provided for all.
There were nice little welcome touches provided, included complimentary drinks in the bar.
We chose to eat out while on holiday so didn't utilise the kitchen, which was a very good size and appeared fairly well equipped. Plenty of space for dining indoors or out on the balcony.
An indoor pool overlooking the garden and sea was great in February and the hotel has a skate ramp with skateboards and helmets to borrow.
The hotel has an underground garage but we parked for free on the street outside.
Ericeria is a very pretty little town with plenty of places to eat/drink if you wanted to go outside the hotel. We visited in February when the area is much quieter but still sunny and low 20s so great for being outdoors. Would definitely return!

Ericeria is a very pretty little town with plenty of places to eat/drink if you wanted to go outside the hotel. We visited in February when the area is much quieter but still sunny and low 20s so great for being outdoors. Would definitely return!

Our stay with You and the Sea was fantastic. The staff (especially Rodrigo) was super friendly, professional, helpful, accommodating and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The facility offers everything a family need to have a relaxing and carefree vacation. The apartment was VERY spacious and offers all the amenities one needs to feel at home. The view on the balcony was phenomenal to watch the sunset every evening. Breakfast buffet was abundant and delicious. Location is perfect. Walking distance to beach and center. It is in a beautiful location & my one bedroom apartment was enormous. The staff were all very friendly & obliging in letting me cancel my stay. I was visiting family so obviously didn’t want to leave but had to make a decision based on the rapid changing situation. I am still waiting to here that Wotif will refund the last 3 nights as I had to fly out on the last available flight. The hotel is happy to refund but no word from Wotif!

We had such a great time here. The people in the hotel are so lovely. we stayed with our 17 month year old daughter and they could not have done enough for us.

Location is perfect just outside the main town but an easy 5/10 minute walk into town.

This hotel is great. It is not hotel rooms, but apartments. Our apt was spacious and really clean - bonus was having a washer in the unit. The restaurant was great also - we enjoy a pizza each afternoon while sitting on the lawn outside the indoor pool.
It is a 10 minute walk from Ericeira - really easy walk along the water front. It was nice to walk home after a big meal.

The pictures in the website does not give the room I got any justice. Building is not even a year old and everything still new. I mean wow. I had a 3 bedroom sea view and the balcony space wraps around the building. Living space is huge and maids clean the apartment each day like if someone new was entering the flat that day, they cleanup everything including our dirty dishes which was a shocker. The best bit was using the electric shutters each morning to unveil from your bed this fantastic sea view. I was pleasantly surprised at the value for money. With Turkish bath and sauna. Heated indoor pool. A gym and kids play room. A message parlour at a reasonable cost. It has a restaurant and bar. The beach is beautiful and peaceful. Small walk down to the bottom. I would highly recommend the apartment I stayed in 3 rooms in building 1. It has everything close by. The floor below is the restaurant and pool etc. I hope to go back soon but hearing most people have same experience and returning soon as very good value. I have 4 kids and holidays are usually expensive but a budget flight and a stay here has turned it to the most cheapest vacation for me, but very enjoyable.

The accommodation was fantastic, very spacious and modern, with beautiful sea views. However, there was some noise disturbance from the restaurant/bar downstairs which woke us up at times. Strangely, the music was very loud in the mornings (6:30 am)? Don’t know if that was when cleaning was going on or what? The staff were very friendly and nice and the food was good. However, there seems to be a little disorganisation with regards to the running of the bar/restaurant; one night we ordered a night cap to bring back to our room (at about 10/10:30), when it hadn’t been served and showed no signs of being made we presumed they’d forgotten and we just left. The next evening we were approached and told we hadn’t settled our bill for the drinks, there wasn’t a fus or anything when we explained we never got them. When checking out we were given another bill for food and drinks charged to our room. We hadn’t charged anything to our room over the stay so we told them it wasn’t ours again and surely it would have had to be signed for?? But they didn’t seem to operate that system. It’s just not nice to have people thinking that you owe them when you don’t!! The area of Ericeira is beautiful, lots of coast line with huge waves. Not very good for children but brilliant for teenagers.

Very impressive new hotel. Only downsides was a slight miscommunication around the surf lessons (be sure to clarify the arrangements when you book) and the balconies are North facing, so get no sun in October. Other than that, recommended.

This brand new property looks more like a designer home than a hotel. The accommodations are thoughtfully decorated and the staff are extremely friendly. We booked a one bedroom and were upgraded to a 3 bedroom at no additional cost. The apartment and balcony could have easily accommodated 8 guests. Plenty of amenities to cook your own meals, but make sure you try the outstanding pizza and cocktails in their restaurant. Highly recommend.

360 degrees of happiness is what we got from this gorgeous property. Every day that we got back from the beach, town, or day excursion, we came to a place that felt as comfortable as home. It was clean, quiet, spacious, warm, and inviting. The amenities were plentiful; the spa offers great treatments (I got an herbs stamp massage.); the restaurant’s offerings were delicious—still swooning over the ceviche and the refreshing, house special Jangada tea; the cute, sea green personalized hotel beach towels and beach bag you can use while out; the amazing views of the beach and mountains; the location; always friendly staff; and more. I’m looking forward to our next stay in Portugal, and will definitely book here again. It’s a wow property.

The House of Falésia has common rooms. The navigators' room complements the maritime decoration, with a game table, television and various sofas; and the caravel room is the dining room where breakfast is served.
All stays include a continental breakfast with some sweet treats traditional from Sintra, being served either in the dining area or in the lodgings for greater privacy. A daily cleaning of the rooms is included throughout the stay.
