Just a wonderful experience. The grounds are lovely and tranquil, and the pool is perfect for lounging after a day of touring Sintra. Breakfast is delicious and was served under a tree filled with flowers. The owners are super nice as well. I want go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Quinte Verde Sintra. Hotel (or Bed and Breakfast?) grounds are wonderful and you can see the Moorish Castle from the pool - breathtaking views!
You do need a car though or Uber (or both if you are not comfortable driving around the Sintra palaces in narrow and busy streets).
Owner was very welcoming and informative on how to enjoy our stay and park our cars, breakfast (optional) was a great way to start the day. Thank you very much, we will be back!

We chose an area slightly remote and it was an oasis at the end of busy days. Very close to stove for food, groceries, sights. Had unusually bad weather and a bout of sickness so didn’t enjoy the vast grounds and pool as much as could have but absolutely would recommend this place to couples and families. Kitchen was great. Came back for a night after Porto and had the room with the upper patio/kitchen (fabulous) but was a family suite (2 rooms)that we didn’t need so much space. Tina always around to be helpful even during her early morning exercise. Andre perfect for communications about anything!! Code for gate great for our late night arrivals. Cleaned our room every day. Motorcycles like to race past on long stretch of road outside Quinta but more funny than disturbing. Lots of parking. Tight area if parking under the cover but keeps out of rain. Can drive to upper rooms to unload/load. Thank you all. Excellent!

Would totally recommend staying here if in the Sintra area. The beds were comfy, very clean, the grounds were beatiful(wish the weather would have been more cooperative to enjoy them). Andre was so kind and sat down with us to tell us about the area and his recommendations. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

This beautiful property & it’s friendly, helpful owners were definitely a highlight of our Portugal trip - wish we could have stayed longer. Owners Andre and Tina gave us valuable information about how to navigate Sintra’s historical sites; everything from timing our trip to the Pena Palace to where to find free parking in Sintra. We had a delicious, reasonably priced supper at one of the restaurants they recommended. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable - we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Quinta Verde Sintra.

Marcelo is a great host! So friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay across the valley from Sintra. You can sit at night by the pool and see the Pena Palace and Moorish Castle lit up at night.

An absolutely beautiful property. A slice of heaven which seems far away but is actually close to many restaurants and only a 15 minute drive to the attractions in Sintra. The host Andre and his manager Marcelo were fabulous. Very helpful in many areas. I wish we had booked this place for longer, we hated to leave.

I always look for properties that have a home feel and Quinta fits that description to the point! The location is excellent, away from the noisy touristy areas and yet close to all the attractions and great restaurants. Parking is abundant, the room was bright, clean and the view is magnificent! We were immersed in nayure with a prime view of Sintra's palaces! Most of all, the way we were treated by staff is something I have only seen in very few places. Everyone was not just helpful and friendly but also very loving and kind. We already have plans to go back.

Great stay at Quinta Verde Sintra! We were welcomed with coffee and pastry upon arrival and our room was ready early. Waited around and napped by the pool area, which is beautiful. Very easy to communicate with Andre and he was more than happy to help with anything we needed including restaurant recommendations and lining up an early morning ride to the airport so we did not have to stress over Ubers.
The area is peaceful yet still close to coastal towns, palaces and Lisbon.

This was a quiet and charming property that acted as our base to experience Sintra, which was a 10-minute drive away. We loved the sweeping view of the valley and the Pena Palace at the top of the hillside. The staff was friendly and helpful, including providing tips on parking and sightseeing. The local restaurants Marcelo recommended were excellent and authentic Portuguese. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to explore the Sintra area without the hustle and bustle of being in-town.

We booked Quinta for the 2nd night of our trip and we loved it so much we cancelled our hotel for the last 2 nights and came back to Quinta. If we ever come back to the sintra area we will be sure to stay here for at least one night!

Very quiet and beautiful place away from the city. It's about 5 to 10 minute drive from Sintra depends on the time you're driving. It is not a hotel. It is a house that is converted into the hotel. So if you are looking for a hotel this is not the place for you. Staff was very helpful very friendly. Nice breakfast.

I really enjoyed our one day stay here wish we would have had more time to spend there. The owners are very nice people. It has nice views. We had to leave early so they made use sandwiches and had them ready for us before breakfast hours. Sintra is a beautiful area and it is easy short trip to Lisbon and other surrounding towns. There are good restaurants around town also. We drove to Lisbon airport and it did not take long at all using toll roads to cut down on traffic. I recommend it.

Peaceful place with wonderful staff. Incredible views of sintra. We had a spacious quiet room. Lovely shower (spa type of shower head) and tv with many English channels. Breakfast was okay for vegetarians (basic breads and pastry), nothing to get excited about but okay. Overall great stay and I would recommend. We spent one night during our sintra visit. Thanks to the lovely team there!

This hotel feels more like you're stepping into a private home with room to roam and several places to relax. We had a small patio with two chairs, there's a large pool with plenty of lounge chairs, a few small sitting areas outside as well as sofas and \"living room\" type areas inside. I would easily recommend this wonderful \"hotel\" as a place to put your feet up after a long day of sight seeing.

If you want an apartment with cooking facilities you need to check when booking that your apartment has these. Apartment was clean, maid service every day, breakfast was good.
We liked the area, Sintra has many attractions if you like to visit Palaces, Forts, Monastery's, Gardens. Sintra is very busy though with lots of traffic in the centre. The coast is within easy reach with some nice beaches and scenery. If you stay around Sintra a trip into Lisbon is easy using the train.

Overall a great experience. We were given a beautiful suite even though we booked a room. The owner, Tina, is very accommodating to her guests. Breakfast is served in a glass enclosed room overlooking the palaces of Sintra. Great place to land if you're planning on staying for a couple of days. A warning, it could be very tricky to find it as the GPS doesn't work there. We got lost and were very fortunate to have a very nice local person guide us to the gate late at night.

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely hotel just outside of Sintra. The owners are charming and very helpful, the room was delightful with a lively terrace and the breakfasts were delicious. I would highly recommend this \"Quinta\" for anyone wanting to stay just outside Sintra! As an avid gardener I really appreciated the very tasteful and lovely planting!

Hard to find at night but great resort-style stay
This hotel is more than just your typical hotel. It is a little bit outside of Sintra's main town so can be a bot hard to find at night but we were greeted very warmly by Tina, the manager. She put us up in a really nice two bedroom family suite. The entire place had a feel of a cottage, each with its own outside sitting area. What I loved about this place is that it didn't have a typical hotel feel but felt like a countryside resort. Breakfast was absolutely excellent in a winter garden right by the pool. Gorgeous views from the breakfast area and super friendly service. We were even served fresh homemade lemonade made from lemons plucked from their own property. Delicious!

nice hotel, quiet location little outside Sintra with a beautiful view over Castle de la Pena; we had to change the room twice, first because of some problems with plumbing, then probably because some problems with their planning, but in the end it was ok; if you want wifi in the room make sure you stay in the main house, the second building lacks wireles connection. another thing about the second building was that our room at the ground floor felt humid, being a split level, so we had to turn on the heat.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. The rooms were very clean, the hotel was located in the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen, and I cannot say enough about the family that runs the hotel. They treated us like family(even drove us to town for dinner one night). They wanted to make sure we had the best time in Sintra and we definitely did! This was an amazing place to stay and I cannot wait to go back someday.

We loved staying at this little Quinta outside of Sintra. Once we got over the challenge of finding this place we did not want to leave. You will need a car to get to this Inn. The owners gave us such personal attention. It was one of the most special and unique experiences that we had in Portugal. The owners were really committed to making our stay positive.
We especially enjoyed the gardens and the pretty grounds, and we loved the homemade breakfast. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We found the B&B easily. Note to others who had difficulty - don't bother trying to use a GPS, except to get close. Then, just carefully follow the excellent instructions provided by the hosts.
Miguel, son of the owners, gave us lots of help and tips, and great restaurant recommendations. He and his parents all speak English, so communication was not a problem.
The room was clean and had plenty of room, the bed comfortable, the nights were quiet and sleep came easily. Excellent bread and pastries at breakfast, as well as fruit, ham, cheese, and lovely jams.

The accommodation was very nice. The location is very idyllic with the view on the Pena palace and Moorish castle. There is a nice pool with all the needed beds and towels available. You have multiple places to sit outside and around the accomodations there is a well maintained garden. A perfect place to relax. In the morning you can have breakfast outside of inside in a nice breakfast area.
The location is not in the mid centre, but easily reachable with the car. If you want, you can travel by uber to the city or sightseeing. You can easily go to Lisbon or Cascais, but we recommend to see all the beautiful places/palaces in and around Sintra. You can easily fill a few days with sightseeings and beautiful parks.

Alleen maar positieve dingen over te zeggen! Veel tips van Marcel gekregen voor dingen om te doen in Sintra/de omgeving, net als aanraders voor restaurants etc van Marcel en André. The property consists of a newly rebuilt and decorated Chalet and the House of Falésia. The decoration is inspired by maritime and nautical motifs, with several decorative pieces harmonized with this theme.
The House of Falésia has common rooms. The navigators' room complements the maritime decoration, with a game table, television and various sofas; and the caravel room is the dining room where breakfast is served.
All stays include a continental breakfast with some sweet treats traditional from Sintra, being served either in the dining area or in the lodgings for greater privacy. A daily cleaning of the rooms is included throughout the stay.
One of the most exuberant common areas is the four-level garden: on level 1 there is a rock garden with native plants from the Sintra area completing the parking lot area; on level 0 there is a waterfall and hot tub with an endless view of the ocean; in level -1, the continuation of the native plants and rock garden, as well as an area of relaxation with chairs towards the outlook of the sea. At level -2 there is a 4-pointed star shaped children's pool.
Through this level of the garden it is possible to have access to the cliff by the sea. The property consists of a large lot overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, making it a local privilege for weekend retreats or even a retreat for deep meditations.
