Lifetime experience in Portugal

My favorite hotel in Portugal on a 2100 km self drive experience. On the ocean. Super pool and outstanding customer service. A true life dream of a hotel. Every hotel I stayed at in Portugal - I showed the staff that Arribas Sintra pool and view and said they should all holiday there. Absolutely AMAZING!!!

This is just simply a magnificent hotel, situated right on the beach. The views of the ocean are wonderful with the waves crashing into the side of the incredible salt water pool. The service was excellent as was the food. It was worth every penny of the nightly fee.

Frond desk staff is very attentive and friendly. Breakfast is also very very good with many different type of breads, fruits, cheeses and pastries. Sea water pool is very nice and clean, it is a massive!

Overall amazing experience staying at this hotel. I wish we had similar hotel right on the beach on the east coast in the USA. I highly recommend this place for wholesome family experience!

A stay at this Colares hotel is not to be missed!

We are so glad that we inserted a night at the coast, into our busy vacation. Arribas Sintra Hotel has a modern vibe, an incredible pool with a back drop of the ocean. Seeing Cabo da Roca in the near distance and a beautiful sunset was wonderful. The staff was helpful, rooms were large and clean. There was a gym, as well. We will stay at this hotel next time in Sintra.

Fabulous location and pool is outstanding. My initial room had a strong damp odour, which was unable to be remedied. I was moved me to a better quality room the next day, which was greatly appreciated and not expected… thank you.
Buffet breakfast is very extensive and the bar food and beverage selection also good. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it, especially if you like lazing by a pool.

The hotel is truly as you see it in the images! The pool is massive and the beach is wonderful. We stayed with our 11&14year olds and they thought the location was awesome, and loved the breakfast. The room we had was spacious and perfect for all of us! You can easily pop to restaurants and the grocery store (we had a car), and the views from every space are gorgeous!

Our stay at the hotel was amazing! We booked the family suite, which had beautiful views of both the ocean and the pool. The room was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh options. The hotel also offers convenient on-site parking. Another highlight is the location—you can easily walk to some great nearby restaurants, like Nortada. Highly recommended!

A decent oceanfront hotel that's hard to reach

You can't beat the view, and the staff of the restaurants were mostly excellent. The night shift man with the glasses was very rude and condescending. The shower drain flowed too slowly, even after we complained of a clog. Other than the lack of evening hospitality and one instance at breakfast of a rude attendant, it was a nice stay.

Being a solo traveler on this trip, this was a perfect location for rest and relaxation. I loved that the property is right along the shore/on the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to open my balcony door and listen to/see the waves. The standard, first floor room was a good size with a comfortable bed and nice shower heads in the bathroom with hot water (hot showers are important to me). The complimentary bottle of wine and breakfast buffet included with my room rate were very nice touches. As well, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Mariana was a lifeline as she assisted me in getting around by looking up bus and train schedules and suggesting apps for me like Bolt, Omio and Moovit in addition to answering any other questions that I had for her. Sofia was willing and available to help when I needed also. I got a great value for the service and amenities that I received, and I would definitely return to Arribas Sintra without hesitation.

I really enjoyed this place. The rooms overlook the ocean which is rough and wild. They are more than good, but not the superb needed for five stars. The staff was nice, especially Beatriz who welcomed me. Parking is easy and I never saw a 100 m pool before.

It is an isolated area with no walk-restaurants and I was not in love with the hotel restaurant for dinner. I lived their breakfast.

I would come back happily.

The children room is without window.
I found dark spot on on child’s beadhead (vomit, coffee?) as well as dark spot in the toilet.
The front door was dirty (as from pictures)
We booked for 5, only got 4 towels, thankfully we had personal ones.
The parents’ room had separate beds.
Our room was located near a machine (outside the room) which kept working the whole night and did not let us sleep. The children refuse to sleep in their own beds as they were scared by the noise.
In addition, the fridge is not closed in a cupboard so it kept doing noises the whole night.
The ventilation in the bathroom brought in bas smells.
The whole room was outdates, very motel style, not at all a 4 stars standards.
The dinner as well the breakfast was average, breakfast products quite industrial.
We raised the complaints to the management the very next morning after our first night as we realised most of the issue after 10pm.
we asked for a partial reimboursement (3 nights over 5) but the manager refused. we decided to leave the hotel in any case as the hotel was horrible

Arribas Sintra Hotel is on a gorgeous strip of the Atlantic coast with scenic cliffs and crashing waves full of surfers. The view is made more dramatic by the 100 mg salt water pool that makes this property one of a kind. In addition to the glamorous views, service here is top notch, with excellent on-site food options and attentive staff.

The pool really is as big as it looks!

Fantastic hotel - clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast and evening meals, and a truly amazing pool - it really is as big as it looks - 100m long! The hotel is located on a lovely clean beach which is great for surfing, and is not far from Sintra - easy car drive, or a bus stops close to the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

When we asked to check in 1 hour early the staff was RUDE. The restaurant breakfast was awful. The pool was under construction and the parking sucked. Do not recommend - the location is t worth it. Great place to eat right up the hill - get a VRBO

Family visiting the area

We had a lovely time at Arribas Sintra Hotel. The location was perfect for us. We just wished we got to experience the pool. It was under construction and we didn't know about it.

Place was very nice Rooms were clean. Good food on property. Sad thing was the their HUGE outdoor pool (100 meters) was not filled with water. And checkin time took some time as there was one service servicing our group. Would recommended this place to friends. Right next to beach!

Unfortunately the listing of the property was not accurate. When we got there, they upsold us for another 30euro because the bed configuration wasn’t available even though I emailed them and confirmed it. Then, we get to the room, and there is no climate control for temperature in the room. The room was very hot, there is no air conditioning because the hotel had few guests. Just got air blowing very disappointing that the description was not accurate on hotels.com. Very nice and well kept property. But very disappointing

All the rooms faced the Atlantic and the waves were fantastic! The breakfast was amazing, the rooms were clean and the service was unparalleled! The woman at the front desk was helpful, giving insights for our stay. Even when she saw us in the hallway, she would stop and talk to make sure our stay was pleasant. We will definitely come here again—highly recommend!

Beautiful location with constant Roar of Waves

Just completed a 5 night stay … very central to Cascais & Sintra but most importantly on the ocean. Tremendous service from the moment we entered to the end of our visit. Breakfast buffet the best ever. Very comfortable room with balcony overlooking the large waves … constant roar of the ocean … simply amazing!

The property consists of a newly rebuilt and decorated Chalet and the House of Falésia. The decoration is inspired by maritime and nautical motifs, with several decorative pieces harmonized with this theme.

The House of Falésia has common rooms. The navigators' room complements the maritime decoration, with a game table, television and various sofas; and the caravel room is the dining room where breakfast is served.

All stays include a continental breakfast with some sweet treats traditional from Sintra, being served either in the dining area or in the lodgings for greater privacy. A daily cleaning of the rooms is included throughout the stay.
