We arrived late in the afternoon and was able to have dinner, the service was good but not great- seemed like their were more important people having dinner which the attention was given to and we had to ask for service.

Breakfast which was included was ok but coffee was awful. Usually in Italy you can count on two things good food and good coffee.
In all of the photos of hotel there is a beautiful pool and hot tub, reality is a cold green hot tub and a cold pool that is dark but I would assume water is dirty like hot tub.
Basically stuck in a quint village in a nice hotel with terrible food and nothing to do and no where to go.
Time is precious don’t waste your time here

I booked this hotel because it had parking, and unfortunately, YOU NEED TO RESERVE A PARKING SPOT. I didn’t know that, and we stayed in 14 hotels in Europe which I made sure had parking included. We had to park the car away from the hotel in private parking which was in a hill. Food (dinner a breakfast) were good, and we enjoyed the pool.

Fabulous hotel in a magnificent setting. The hotel is right next to the lake. It is close to the town and to the ferries. Wonderful pool and garden by the lake. Delicious breakfast each morning. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough.

As usual the car park was full and I was sent to the off site car park. Last time I was told first come first served, this time I was told it depended on the booking. I am assuming booked direct or booked through another site. I was up late and up at dawn and spaces were empty.
The attitude of the manageress on that day was dismissive.
The manager was walking around without a mask on which in this day and age is simply not acceptable.
It seems as if I was under a jacuzzi/balcony were people stayed up until 1am since I was there for a race the next morning starting at 6am i was not the most pleased.
Overall this stay was not a good experience.
Breakfast and Sunday desk staff however were very polite and helpful.
I would suggest that hotels.com you update/check the information about the car park and check adherence to COVID rules.
For such an exclusive and expensive hotel the stay was unacceptable!

A family-run hotel on the lakefront - near Sulzano port for access to the island and other villages on Lake Iseo. Rooms are clean, nicely decorated and a moderate size. Service is friendly. Restaurant has good food and is in a pretty garden with great lake views. There is a small pool - It can get quite busy especially at weekends.

Heated spa an added pleasure after hiking on Monte Isola across the lake. We were excited to learn Sulzano was the site of Christo’s “Floating Piers” art installation in 2016. Would have loved to have experienced that.

The other is the rooms , they have just a few viewing the lake side , the majority are hidden in the back scattered in nearby buildings .
To get to them you have to pass in a small alley behind passing the kitchen and all the garbage containers
The parking facility is very small and difficult to park with a regular car
The front desk staff is arrogant and are not ready to try to help you for a pleasant stay but instead brag of how busy they are year round , in other words we have enough customers don’t need you .
Before staying here make sure to read everything twice so you know what your going to get .

Everything about the Rivalago is perfection. The decor, the lovely family staff, and everything you could want to eat and drink at the ready! The view is the cherry on top. Waking up to a lake view with the birds chirping is the epitome of peace. Even when it was raining, this hotel was perfect.

We stayed here for two nights as part of our honeymoon & absolutely loved it. Beautiful hotel, great breakfast, gorgeous grounds and perfect swimming pool and jacuzzi. Lake front location which is simply idyllic. Highly recommend watching the sunset over the lake from the gardens. Bellissimo!

We had a brilliant time! The views are amazing and the staff could not have been more friendly or obliging. The hotel is so nice that it is easy to spend the entire day there relaxing and the bistro is great for a light lunch or dinner. The local town has everything you need but it is very easy to get around the local area by walking, bikes, boats, trains or buses. The rooms are very comfortable and if you can stretch to a junior suite it is well worth it as the views from your private terrace are lovely and a very romantic place to watch the sun set.

We had booked late, so initially had a room overlooking the car-park. After 2 nights they managed to move us to a beautiful room overlooking the lake, with a roof terrace - and not a huge increase in the cost.

Spent 3 nights at hotel rivalago. Could not fault this hotel at all. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was beautiful and very large, extremely comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Gluten free is also catered for very well :-) Would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a nice comfortable relaxing holiday by the lake. Thanks again hotel rivalago!

Very nice hotel, beautifully situated on the lake. Parking , however, in the hotel parking lot was a challenge. Parking spaces were very tight, curled on the other sides of pillars and squeezed in. The evidence of many mishaps and cars scraping the posts, walls, etc., were everywhere. For a compact size car (Fiat 500, for example), getting in and out of any available space was a challenge or not doable. The most easily accessible spaces took many backs and forths to squeeze in. Worse than parallel parking in Manhattan during the visit of a Pope! Luckily, parking only cost €8 per night.

Great Hotel with lovely views. Lake Iseo is not as touristy as Como or Maggiore. That is perhaps why we loved it. Even though it was expensive we would stay again and push the boat out for a junior suite. The breakfast selection was extensive.

What a Great Place
This hotel is a real gem. The location is great, situated right on the shore of Lago d'Iseo overlooking Monte Isola, you can sup a weissbeer and watch the boats/ducklings/swimmers float past and just chill. Having a varied and large (if you choose) breakfast in the same garden area is a great start to the day. The hotel Staff were teriffic - very helpful, happy with all the languages being spoken and went out of their way to provide answers, recommendations and bookings - with the manager even volunteering a pair of swim shorts to replace those I'd left at home. Their recommendations for restaurants were spot on - although pricey, both the meals we have were fantastic - and we could have made them cheaper by economising on the wine and appetisers. The hotel is very clean, very quiet and very nicely furnished and while we weren't lucky enough to be given a lake view room (our room had a view of a wall) - it really didn't matter because 30 seconds on the stairs got us out on to that wonderful garden/patio area where we had all the lake we could wish for. The pool was great to come back to after a hot day stamping around the hills and, while drinks were a little pricey, we figured that they were a great deal cheaper than a four start hotel in England would be offering them at. The Hotel earns its four stars. This was the kind of stay that makes us want to come back - soon.

We stayed for four nights in October 2012 and found the overall comfort of the hotel and its position right on the lake very nice. We had a Junior Suite with terrace which had stunning views but probably more useful in warmer months. The room was big and clean but a bit devoid of character and the carpet had quite a few stains. Breakfast was buffet style and OK but nothing out of the ordinary and the musack rather grating. The reception satff were very friedly and helpful in making restaurant recommendations and reservations for dinner as the hotel, surprisingly, has no restaurant for dinner. Overall we found the hotel slightly dated/traditional in terms of decor although that is always very much a personal thing. The lcoation is stunning and I imagine the whole place is much more vibrant and buzzier in the summer months.

Der Ausblick und der direkte Seezugang entschädigte viele negativen Faktoren. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Seeblick (ohne Balkon). Die Sicht war schön, war jedoch direkt beim Treppenaufgang. Der Aufgang ist nicht mit Teppich bezogen, dementsprechend war es früh morgens schon laut, wenn die Gäste mit Flip-Flops langliefen. Die Zimmer waren sauber aber benötigen dringend eine Renovierung. Es gab ein! Haken im gesamten Zimmer. Jacken etc. konnten wir nicht aufhängen, der Schrank war leider etwas muffelig. Die zwei Haken waren im Bad für unsere Pool-Handtücher. Diese werden einmal die Woche gewechselt, ansonsten zahlt man 3 Euro. Macht für mich wenig Sinn, wenn ich die Duschhandtücher jedes mal auf den Boden schmeißen muss, weil kein Platz zum Trocknen da ist. Die Mitarbeiter waren überwiegend nicht sonderlich freundlich. Insbesondere an der Rezeption. Am ersten Abend war des Restaurant ausgebucht. nach 9,5h Std. Fahrt etwas uncool, hätte man gerne bei der Buchung sagen können, dass dort reserviert werden muss. Wir wurden zu dem \"besten Fischrestaurant\" geschickt, es wurde für uns reserviert, wir sollen unbedingt unsere Zimmernr. angeben. Sicherlich gab es Provision. Das Essen war ganz gut aber wir mussten 16 Euro für das Gedeck zahlen. Wir fühlten uns wie in einer Touristenfalle.
Das Essen im Hotel war teuer und nicht sonderlich gut. Der Blick war total schön aber Pizza mit Champions aus der Dose? Covid-Maßnahmen wurden gut eingehalten, wenn auch keine Handschuhe getragen wurden
