Let’s start with something positive, which is that the restaurant staff is very very kind and they try to do their best to make up for the deficiencies of other departments.
I trace A LOT and sty in many different hotels. This one is 2-stars at best. Housekeeping is minimal and they take less than 5mins for the entire apartment (superficial cleaning). All of the facilities feel very cheap and outdated. Hair dryer wasn’t working and the AC smells like in an old motel. Wifi reception is horrendous, there are no amenities like shower gels etc. The pool area seem neglected and not well taken care of. There also seem to be water damage in some of the hallways, since the paint is peeling off of the walls. Breakfast selection is the same everyday and both fruit and meat selection are everything but appealing (think of pineapple from the can a pink looking rubber that is supposed to be bacon I guess). I feel sorry for the waitresses for saying this but stay away from this place! I would probs lay shut it down fo a year or year and a half, remodel it completely and than start again from scratch. Otherwise, it’s only going to progress to worse

I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this I must say was the worst. I would have walked out but I was so tired from traveling. Food was basic and I’d say it was worse than uni food.
I had 2 nights booked half board and we left after the 1st night. I asked for a refund but they could not offer that, but I will email the manager who was on holiday ……
Booked a lovely hotel on the front for only a little more money which was lovely!
The staff must face complaints all the time. The staff were lovely but the facilities and hotel needs a complete makeover.
Our room was horrid and if it was my hotel I would feel ashamed of the state of the rooms.
Beds you can feel the springs, chair and headboard peeling all over of the fake UPVC, very basic old cheep furniture. Dirty filthy curtains.
This is more like a very cheap hostel for the homeless.
I went to the spa which was deserted and was so old and fairly horrid I did not use it. Steam from no steam.
I would say this hotel needs to close down.
Please don’t waste your money.
Perhaps the manager should stay in the room I had and I’m sure he would feel disgusted

Magnífica relación calidad-precio. Recomendado.

Muy buena relación calidad-precio. El Spa y la piscina es un plus, la piscina extra limpia y al estar cubierta la temperatura del agua está muy bien y dentro de la zona cubierta es muy agradable incluso cuando está nublado. La sauna finlandesa y la turca súper bien, y el jacuzzi también. Estaba limpio, las camas muy cómodas, el aire acondicionado perfecto y la ducha invitava a ducharse. Una terracita coqueta. Está renovado con gusto. Muy bien situado. Los viernes y sábados con música en directo en el bar, súper bien. Hemos podido aparcar en los espacios reservados para el hotel sin coste adicional, imagino que es por ser temporada baja. Lo recomiendo 100%.

I chose this hotel for trhe spa, but the first Sunday 21st september, it wasn't working and when I could finally go, I was told that from 5 Pm I had to pay while payment by hotel guests was not mentioned anywhere. But, all in all, I enjoyed my stay.

Don’t Let the 4 Stars Fool You

Unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Navegadores was disappointing and didn’t live up to its 4-star rating.

Check-in was supposed to be from 4 PM, but our room wasn’t ready until 5:45 PM. Even then, it hadn’t been properly cleaned. We notified the reception, and while they said it would be taken care of, nothing happened until we followed up again around 8 PM. It was nearly 8:30 PM before the room was finally cleaned — more than 4 hours after official check-in time.

The room itself felt quite outdated and in need of refurbishment. There were visible signs of wear and tear, particularly on the bed, which added to the overall feeling that the hotel is not being maintained to a 4-star standard.

The pool area was okay, but overcrowded, and the bar was average — service was slow, but understandable given the number of guests.

Overall, not a great experience. Definitely not deserving of a 4-star rating, and there are better options in town, even at a lower price point.

This review is all you will need if you want to stay here.

Room and condition - 1/10. My room had a very temperamental air con that didn’t manage to cool the room down as much as it should.
The bed is dreadful! If you value comfort, a soft(ish) bed that you can get a good nights sleep in then good luck. You won’t find it here. My back is in a lot of pain from the 5 night stay at this hotel. Let’s all cross our hands and feet and hope my masseuse can fix this. There is a small fridge in the room but it is not self catering by any means. No kettle. No mugs/coffee or tea. The room looked nothing like the pictures used on Expedia, I had a bright white and lime green room, genuinely dreadful to wake up to every morning. The street is SO LOUD! Every night you will hear loud bikes passing the hotel and sounds like there in the bedroom with you. The horse rides up and down the street and the screeching of the chairs on the floor above or next room over. Honestly sickening.

Food - I can’t comment on because I didn’t try it, but the options in the surrounding area are not great, although there is plenty of restaurants many of them were full to the brim at the time you would like to eat and you will be waiting in the boiling sun. Fast food was quite fast so that’s a plus. I had a lot of takeaway as you can imagine.

Cleanliness of the hotel itself is adequate but I did see dirty areas, the walls need a lick of paint.

Surrounding areas - 0/10, the staff were not welcoming.

A geladeira não funcionava, televisão pequena, colchão e travesseiros muito ruins. Enfim, um local não é aprazível e ainda cobram caro por estacionamento numa área quase pública e sem movimento. Uma péssima experiência!

Wouldn't stay a second time

Very loud traffic noise if staying on front if hotel and foot traffic in above room. All floors are vinyl so you hear every footstep and dropping of things above you, especially when they wear shoes at 7am. Tv is basically a computer monitor, tiny , and wifi kept cutting out, even with basic email. Pool area and breakfast are very nice. No chairs or table on balcony. No shampoo, just liquid soap in shower. There was very loud drilling or grinding one day in room across from mine. After one hour went to front desk and asked to move rooms if they are doing work. She said nothing was taking place in room. I said door to room is open, very loud noise and workers coming in and out. She said no, I was wrong. She made a call and realized oh yeah, there was loud maintenance work going on. She still wouldn't switch me rooms and said it was only going to last a few more hours. Don't tell me I'm imagining things and it isn't hard to switch rooms. Very poor customer service.

For a good price, worth it.

Nice indoor pool, but cold. Good balcony but no furniture, just two cement benches on either side. Noise from front street can be loud, I am on second floor, traffic noise started around 7am. Wifi is VERY slow, even basic tasks like email buffer for awhile. Nice large lobby and very good breakfast buffet. Mattresses are quite hard, no shampoo in shower, just liquid soap. Close to shopping and beach, walkable. Rainfall shower with additional handheld unit, good amount of hot water.

Es la segunda vez que estuve en el hotel con mi pareja. La verdad que esta muy bien y el personal es super agradable la cual intentan solucionar cualquier duda que tienes. Estuvimos en la zona de SPA y nos salimos renovados de alli. Super bien. Maria y Margarida las recepcionistas son muy agradable y amable.en general todos en el hotel .Gracias por todo . Al llegar al hotel hubo q dejar el coche en un parking regulado por pago por horas, que nos obligaba a estar pendientes de pagar cada 3 o 4 horas, lo que nos impidió disfrutar de lo que se hacía en casa momento. El hotel tenía plaza de parking, pero decía que no hacían reserva. Cada día tenías que preguntar por si algún cliente se iba y dejaba una plaza, en ese momento, pero ya había alguien que llegando al hotel en ese mismo momento, estaba esperando en recepción para ocuparla... Al darnos habitación en la última planta, a veces no llegaba el agua caliente, otras veces no había presión del agua fría y no salía agua ni del lavabo ni de la ducha... El buffet muy muy escaso. De hecho, había una mesa del buffet, que estaba sin usar, y otra se usaba a medias o, si estaba completa, era porque se repetían las mismas bandejas de comida. La piscina tenía agua templada, por lo que se agradecía, sobre todo por las tardes. Los camareros del buffet muy serviciales.

I had read some bad reviews about this property but I thought it was excellent! Nice, quiet, comfortable room and bed, great helpful staff and a lovely breakfast each day. Walkable to the beach and amenities in 5-10mins. Easy free parking (I stayed in April/May but from 1st June to 1st September I was told that is when the parking is chargeable).
If you want entertainment and a party destination, go to Albufeira. If you want a relaxed and chilled place, Monte Gordo is great and so is this hotel. :)

I would like to have had a kettle in the room as no facilities to make a drink or to get one especially as I am awake very early in the morning. Other than the that my stay was very pleasing. I extended my stay at this hotel because it was such a pleasure to be there!
Onsite a gym, sauna and swimming pool but very close to the pubs & restaurants and shops.
The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are a glowing representation.
A fantastic breakfast is included too!

The staff are friendly and polite, the hotel is kept very clean and modern.
The breakfast is inclusive if you choose that option and I would certainly recommend that you do, it's a bargain!
I extended my stay x3 times, spent a week there in total.

This hotel is a bit worse than the regular 4* hotels in Portugal. We were a bit disappointed with the room in general, e.g. mattress quality, extra small television and the breakfast is badly organised and it’s hard to know where is everything.

Overall, I wouldn’t be so harsh if it was a 3 star hotel. For a 4 star I am a bit more picky.

Very disappointing. This hotel has very good facilities but there were issues I cannot ignore. Two male staff, in the bar and restaurant, muttered comments or profanities under their breath after I spoke to them. Although I cannot prove exactly what they said it is perfectly clear they were at best, very rude or at worst, highly offensive.
Breakfast was OK but I did not appreciate being served food on tiny side plates one morning - it just made me feel I was being \"rationed\". Dinner was always poor, food tepid and low quality.
My room and room servicing was fine, but the balcony only had two uncomfortable, built-in concrete benches. In addition, on two occasions there was no hot water in the bathroom

Great location to see Monte gordo, the beaches, shopping areas, and night life.
Inclusive breakfast a bonus which allows for a full day of sightseeing.
Car parking a little restrictive but manageable.
Pool and sunbathing areas an obvious attraction.
Better value and better facilities than many of the surrounding hotels, well worth a return visit!!

At check in no parking available at the hotel. Parked out of sight of the hotel to park. Check in was disjointed we had arrived with friends and they had their keys and gone to their room .Went for a swim in the indoor pool and when we asked for pool towels but hotel does not supply them. We had to trek back to the car to get our beach towels. Pool freezing cold, and in desperate need of a good clean. We enquired about the sauna and were told it was only available free to guests between 13:00 and 17:00 so we had missed our free time and were asked to pay 5 euros each which we were not prepared to do. Back to our room which was also in need of a deep clean. 3 plastic coat hangers were available for use well actually only 2 as the 3rd wouldn't hold a spider's web. The floor was disgraceful with a shabby dirty mat. The bed linen was clean but there were no mattress or pillow protectors. The remote for the tv did not work it was a completely different model so we could not get the tv to work. We had a lamp with no where to plug it in! Phone not working so could not contact anyone. After dinner back at the hotel several teenagers had arrived and were milling about on our corridor and the adjoining room. This was after 23:00 the noise became unbearable, complained no action taken this went on till after 02:00 security asked them to be quiet but it started again after 5 minutes. No sleep. Breakfast disgusting, hot food was cold and OJ watered powder! We filled out complaint's book

Desk staff very helpful, check in quick and easy. Rooms clean and seemingly recently refurbished with a/c, small beer fridge.

Breakfast was ok initially, but deteriorated as the week went by, hot food was now just cold upon putting it out. Very basic food on an all you can eat buffet basis. Just bacon, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bread, and cold meats/cheese.

Biggest gripe was picking a hotel with free parking, but no parking bays (all filled by non residents).

A precisar de reforma urgente.

Hotel a precisar de reforma profunda. Hoje não é um 4 estrelas.
Limpeza do quarto sofrível. Mobiliário velho e degradado.
Pequeno almoço fraco. O sumo de laranja é sintético. O café não tem qualidade. Pouca variedade.
Encontrar a sala de refeições é uma “caça ao tesouro”.

Habitación Muy Regular

Hemos ido varias veces a este hotel, pero este año nos ha tocado una habitación bastante Regular.

El suelo del baño no estaba muy limpio,
los amenities eran escasos, en la ducha solo había gel de baño y de calidad regular, nada de shampoo como en otras ocasiones.
Algunas almohadas parecían más una toalla arrugada que una almohada. El colchón un poco duro.
Los bordes inferiores del canapé no daban buena imagen, adjunto fotos ambos lados.
La tv era más pequeña que mi Tablet.
La funda del sillón no invitaba a sentarse.

Decidimos quedarnos así en la habitación porque estábamos cansados y no nos apetecía un cambio, ya que la entrada fue bastante tardía, a las 16:00 hora local.

Esto ha cambiado últimamente porque antes la entrada era a las 14:00 y después a las 15:00.
Ahora es a las 16:00 pero la hora de salida no ha cambiado, sigue siendo a las 12:00. Creo que es por falta de personal, en nuestra planta solo había una camarera de habitaciones, de ahí la deficiencia.
Una sola persona por planta y en un hotel grande, es normal que necesite 4 horas o más para que haya disponibilidad.

Esperamos lo corrijan.

À chegada, por volta das 16h, o quarto não estava disponível, sendo necessário mais 1 a 2 horas para terminar limpeza.
No penúltimo dia chegámos ao quarto por volta das 17h e a limpeza ainda estava por fazer.
No hall faltam placas indicativas para aceder aos elevadores. No geral, todo o edificio necessita de obras de remodelação.

El hotel está bien, aunque lentos y con esperas a la llegada en recepción. Tiene parking, pero el sistema es anticuado y difícil (palanca en el suelo con llave; tuve que volver a recepción)

La estancia y todo muy bien . Lo único malo que la televisión solo tenía dos canales y encima estaba estropeada con rayas y la nevera de la habitación no enfriaba nada se me estropeó lo que llevaba

La entrada check in muy mal, siendo a partir de las 16:00 horas, llegamos y había 2 colas de personas, al final pudimos entrar a las 17:45, y eso porque pusieron una tercera persona para atender las entradas.
