Where is a person supposed to park when they arrive to stay at your hotel? The reception told me to drive further and I would “find something on the right side of the road”! I tried to find a parking garage or a parking lot but instead managed to find myself in a labyrinth of one-way streets and construction zones.

Great location near the central station of Wuppertal. The entrance isn't great on the upper 1st. floor. The price of the room was high during the tradeshow. The breakfast wasn't as expected with high price. At least, they should serve scrabbled eggs for breakfast. Only boiled eggs was available.

Nice clean hotel that was very quiet even though it is in a busy area nearby. Comfy bed and a good sized bathroom considering many European bathrooms can be quite small. There is limited parking at the actual hotel but a city-run lot is nearby and easy to get to being under 300m away with reasonable rates.

Good not great.

Quiet and clean, but for a relatively new hotel, a few too many little glitches. Our bathroom door wouldn't latch unless you really forced it. The reading light next to the bed wouldn't turn off, it's supposed to when you pish it back into the recess, but it stayed on all the time. The pull out sofa bed, good for my 7 year old, but I wouldn't recommend an adult sleeping on it. The way the faucet was situated up against the raised sink, it was awkward. Breakfast was OK, adding scrambled eggs and sausage would improve it immensely. On the positive side, its in a great location, walking distance to the train and monorail, there's a mall nearby, lots of shops and places to eat. I would stay there again, but hopefully without as many small problems.

Got to the property and wasted perhaps an hour looking for parking that didn’t require us to no e the car at 6am, which is nonsensical when getting to the hotel at 10:30pm after an almost 7-hour drive from Paris.

Disappointed the TV wasn’t working at all but was way too late to bring the issue to the attention of staff and in the morning, we were checking out by noon anyway.

Seems there was also a bug problem at this property, which seems to be a common thread of continental European hotels. Never had this issue in England or North America.

I must say that breakfast was very efficient and relaxing. Simple foods and no fuss.

Location of the hotel was great. Near the metro and also lots of shopping close by. Breakfast was great. Staff were excellent. We parked in the parking garage across the street. It was only 9 Euro for the night. Make sure you park after midnight or else you will be charged the time prior to midnight as well. Close to the Train Station as well.

The manager is Awesome which reflects wonderfully!

Amazing customer service offered especially by Ms. Maria Alexandri. She dealt with our special requests very kindly and accepted all execpt one of our unusual requests. She explained herself well and was very friendly and helpful. I would like to visit this again and again just because of how understanding and welcoming she was. It made the housekeeping's shortcomings forgiven!

Perfect room, fab hotel

The hotel is central to the town with the train station nearby that has excellent links the whole region. The room was perfect, it had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Modern and clean, beautiful bathroom, a safe, luggage stand, ironing board, iron and hairdrier. Rather than the usual bench style desk it was freestanding with a great chair - this made it easy to place it in a more conveinient postition. Good quality tea, coffee makng facilities and USB charging points. Perfect, a lot of thought had gone into the design of the room and that desk did it for me - how many times do we stay in rooms and the seat/desk is up against the TV! Finally the staff were helpful and very friendly - yes loved this place.

Rude Receptionist

The room itself may have been alright, but the service we received was abysmal. The receptionist working at the front desk was extremely rude.

We had booked a room with 1 queen and 1 sofa bed, but when we arrived, we found that the sofa bed was not set up. When we asked the receptionist to provide some sheets for us to set up the bed ourselves, the receptionist only gave us 1 pillow and duvet. We did not receive any bed sheets for the mattress. When we requested that the receptionist provide the bed sheets for the mattress, he refused and said that he was not housekeeping and that we should wait until the next morning.

Afterwards, the receptionist stormed away and said that he is the only one working at night. We asked to speak to the manager, but the receptionist said that he was manager because he was the only person working there at the time. It was only after over 15 minutes of arguing with the receptionist at 23:00 late at night did he reluctantly give us a duvet cover to cover the sofa bed mattress.

We are loyal customers of Holiday Inn, but this type of service is wholly unacceptable. This is our third night staying in a Holiday Inn Express in the past week so we are disappointed in the service we received.

We arrived at 3 in the morning and were greeted very friendly. Check in was quick and smooth and all information needed was provided. Breakfast in the morning was till 11am which was great and the breakfast was delicious. Fresh bread, eggs, pancakes etc. The hotel was very clean, the rooms spacious and the staff was super friendly and competent.

Check in wasn't great as they hadn't looked at my request, and I got allocated the one room I didn't want.

The hotel seems fairly new and was in good condition, Aircon worked fine.

Breakfast was missing scrambled eggs, but the quality of the bread was good.

The location of this hotel is perfect for the centre of Wuppertal so restaurants, bars and sights are all within easy walking distance.
The room was decorated and furnished to a high standard with comfortable beds and a choice of pillows. The bathroom was exceptionally clean as were public areas. Plenty of anti bacterial spray units and finger stalls for using the hot drinks machine. Pre packed high quality sandwiches, donuts etc.were offered for breakfast Instead of the usual buffet given the current Covid situation. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is new and clean.
Nly one lift was working. Calling the lift from the underground car park doesn’t seem to work. We tried at least 3 times and the lift always stops at the first floor (reception) and goes back upstairs.
The reception is on the first floor hut the entrance is on the ground flour. From inside the is no sign indicating where the exit is.
The staff consisted of 2 persons when we arrived. One person was working and the other was sitting behind a desk. There were am several waiting to check in.
I can’t pay fir the 4 beers with my credit card.
Although there was several types of beer to choose especially a draft beer, I could only get the one in a small bottle which is disappointing because it was very warm outside.

This place was so nice and so new!!! I even asked them if I could have a room with a view of the Schwebebahn and they gave me the best room with a view! Also, because of Covid 19, they did their breakfast differently. I got a sandwich box, yogurt and donut each day. It was so much food! The staff was so nice and friendly. Everything was clean and I felt very safe there. The location couldn't be better either, just in the middle of the downtown with loads of shopping and restaurants. This is my fave hotel from the last few years! :)

THe hotel is new, thus it is very nice and clean. Breakfast was good and it has a bar. It has a thermostat for heating and air but they had turned the air off at some point and it was not usable. It was very hot thus I had to open the window all night and listen to all the noise outside due to being in the middle of the city. Other than that a really nice hotel for the money. Oh yea it has covered parking too.

A truely great place to stay in Wuppertal

We had nothing to add to the service, nor the food. It was just great. If You are 6foot 7inches, like me, You will probably meet a bed that's not long enough. But otherwise the bed was nice to sleep in. Not too soft, not too hard. Noise from outside everyday life is not worth mentioning. The room had excelent soundreduction materials. Defenately a Hotel to revisite.

Die Zimmer werden nur jeden dritten Tag \"gereinigt\". Das bezog sich in meinem Zimmer auf Wechsel der Handtücher und das Leeren des Abfalls. Nicht mal Toilettenartikel wurden rechtzeitig aufgefüllt. Von Saugen, oder Wischen im Bad ganz zu schweigen. Die Duschtür dichtete nicht richtig ab, dass man das Bad damit unter Wasser setzte. Die Matratze war badseitig instabil und durchgelegen.

Das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Hat die obigen Unzulänglichkeiten zumindest etwas ausgeglichen. Zentrale Lage zum Hbf und ins Zentrum. Zimmer war ruhig, trotz Lage zur Schwebebahn.

You get what you pay for

First off, the lady at the reception really did her best, but did not seem qualified. Checkin took FOREVER and that sucks when you arrive around midnight and just want to sleep.

Second, no free parking spaces and I was referred to a place that was 6 minutes away. By car. Dont list parking available in the ad, if it is not.

Third, breakfast is quite basic.

But worst of all was the clientel. It is near the main train station and that means drinks and what looks like drug users. And that smell seeps into the hotel.
