The hotel is really cute and the staff friendly. I really enjoyed my stay, the only problem was the no elevator situation specially because my room was four flights of stairs up. They should consider having a window blackout curtain as well and I guess Germany doesn’t really believe in air conditioning but it wasn’t extremely hot so no big deal. Loved the little details, like the pack of gummies named for every time of the day 😃

Very clean hotel. Everything worked well. Comfortable bed, good shower etc. Every day there was fruit, chocolates and a cake in the room together with tea, coffee and bottled water. The area was an industrial one, and slightly run down, but we felt very safe at all times. The staff were all friendly and helpful and couldn’t have done more to make our stay a happy one. Access to public transport was easy, and car parking was off road. The only slight downside was no elevator - fine for us, but less able guests could have found the stairs a problem. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in many countries and this was one of the best for its categories.

We arrived late at night and found the hotel in a dangerous looking neighborhood. There is no 24 hour check in, and we would have slept in our car if a friend hadn't called ahead for special instructions. When we got in the hotel, it was neat, clean, and newly remodeled, but they forgot to add a bed for our son who had to sleep on the floor.

Room was large, clean and well-maintained. Parking was always available on the street right in front of the hotel. A short walk to the S-Bahn and Schwebebahn (worth a trip!). Staff not overly friendly and often not readily available at the front desk. Pillows very uncomfortable. Could have used a fan or two for some air circulation in the room.

The Amicial promises style and sophistication. During my visit it under-delivered on comfort and left me wondering whether the money spent on glass wash basins and padded, buttoned leather bed frames might have been better spent heating the place properly or fixing the water pressure so that the shower doesn't stop completely when the occupant of the next room turns theirs on.

Small hotel hard to find. Great Staff who try hard and easy to work with. Small rooms, in odd shapes. They have a hot pot for tea and coffee but no coffee in the room, odd. Parking on street in front is not a problem. Free internet is a big help.

Das Personal war wirklich sehr nett und höflich. Allerdings wirkt im Zimmer alles etwas spärlich und einfach. Im Bad war das Fenster mit einer Kreuzschraube zugeschraubt, dass man es nicht mehr öffnen soll/kann. Sauber war alles und für eine Nacht ist es vollkommen „ok“

Uns wurden 3 Zimmer vermietet, die diesen Name gar nicht verdienen. Bett, Badezimmer in katastrophalen Zustand, kaum Einrichtung, dreckige Vorhänge und Fußböden. Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Der Zustand der Zimmer ist dem Manager allerdings werden sie trotzdem vermietet. Eine absolute Frechheit

Schnodriger Stv. Hoteldirektor. Bezahlterminal funktioniert nicht. Türschloss funktioniert nicht richtig. WLAN funktioniert nicht richtig. TV verbastelt - funktioniert nicht richtig. Die Bar ist leer. Ich weiss warum. Türen knallen ab 6 Uhr. Aber ich wünsche Ihnen einen schönen Aufenthalt.

Nach 6 Stunden Anreise, gab es Probleme mit dem Check-in, da nicht ersichtlich war, ob nun schon eine Anzahlung an hotels.com erfolgt war oder nicht und was ggf noch an Zahlung offen ist. Als Gast will man sich erst mal frisch machen, aber so dauerte der Check-in gefühlt 30 Minuten.
Ich fühlte mich eher wie ein ertappter Verbrecher, als ein willkommener Gast.
Die Zimmer sind sehr stilvoll und mit Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Ganze im Altbau-Industrie-Charme. Leider kein Fahrstuhl und mein Zimmer war im 4. Stock. Die Fenster waren leider undicht mit der Info das Sie repariert werden. Es stand eine kleine Elektroheizung im Zimmer die hat etwas Abhilfe geschaffen.

Das Hotel war mal gut. Jetzt werden die Zimmer nicht mehr saubergemacht. Ich muss als Kunde selbst saubermachen wegen Corona. Die Katastrophe ist das mal gut gewesene Frühstück. Ich kam und fragte darf ich frühstücken und wieviel kostet es und 5 Minuten nachdem ich angefangen habe hat die Küchendame das Essen aufgeräumt.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Leider hat es im Zimmer gezogen, und an den Fenstern hingen einige Spinnweben. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist okay, das Bett war tatsächlich ganz bequem. Man merkt dem Haus aber an, dass es etwas älter ist.

Insgesamt war das Hotel nicht schlecht. Jedoch alles etwas veraltet. Die Betten waren nicht bequem, und ganz sauber war es auch nicht. Spinnennetze an der Decke und Staub. Außerdem quietsche der Boden und das Bett. Es waren noch Nägeln in der Wand die nicht entfernt worden sind nachdem wahrscheinlich ein Bild etc. abgemacht worden ist.

Interessantes Hotelkonzeot. Soweit so schön, Bahnhof fussläufig erreichbar, Parkplätze gegeben. In meinem Fall war das Zimmer nicht gesaugt und die Matratze etwas durch. Ansonsten: absolut ok und für das Geld auch in Ordnung. Würde ich wieder buchen :)

Zu viel Lärm in einem ansonsten gemütlichen Hotel
Das an sich sehr schöne, gemütlich anmutende Zimmer lag zur Straße hin, auf der neben dem üblichen Verkehr leider auch immer wieder jemand mit Fehlzündungen rauf und runter fuhr, was trotz geschlossener Fenster dazu führte, dass man kein Auge zu bekam. Als diese Lärmquelle endlich weg war, schienen andere Hotelgäste - dem andauernden, lautstarken Gepolter nach zu urteilen - ihr Zimmer vollends zu verwüsten, sodass weiterhin nicht an Schlaf zu denken war. Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Amical daher abgebrochen.
Positiv: Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Parkplatzsuche war kein Problem und für ein Standard-Doppelzimmer war dieses sehr schön eingerichtet.
Ich würde dem Hotel sicherlich noch eine Chance geben, sofern das nächste Zimmer keine Lage zur Straße hat.

Ich war nur 1 Nacht in diesem Hotel. Der Check in verlief schnell und problemlos. Die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten im Zimmer haben mich sehr gefreut....Obstteller, Muffin, Betthupferl.
Es war sehr sauber und nett eingerichtet. Das einzige negative war die ZimmerTemperatur. Durch die Hitze draußen war es in dem Zimmer sehr heiß....eine Klimaanlage gab es leider nicht.
Alles in allem würde ich das Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen und ich war mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte mal dort! :)

Bei Ankunft mussten wir einige Minuten warten, bis eine Rezeptionistin erschien um uns einzuchecken. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm, das Hotel liegt mitten in der Stadt, in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Es gab ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze. Die Mitarbeiter waren allesamt sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksangebot war hervorragend, Brot, Brötchen, Aufschnitt, Rührei etc. sehr schmackhaft.Die junge Kellnerin im Frühstückszimmer am Morgen des 8. Juni war äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich! Insgesamt macht dieses Hotel einen sehr positiven Eindruck. Alles ist sehr \"stylisch\" und ansprechend eingerichtet. Ich habe von diesem Hotel einen sehr positiven Eindruck.

Keine warme Dusche
Das Hotel ist in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße in Oberbarmen gelegen. Es ist sehr sauber und ordentlich. Das Zimmer war zwar klein, aber geschmackvoll und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Zu beanstanden gab es nur die Dusche. Es gab nur sporadisch warmes Wasser. Manchmal viel der Wasserdruck im Warmwasser so stark ab, dass kein Tropfen kam.

Auf den zweiten Blick ein tolles Hotel. Die Umgebung ist industriell. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und individuell ausgestattet. Ich hatte warmes Wasser und konnte meine Dusche inklusive Haare waschen genießen. Auch die Fernsehprogrammauswahl war groß, auf Wunsch hätte ich mir sogar einen DVD Player aufs Zimmer bringen lassen können.
Das Frühstück war ein Gedicht... keine Spur von Fertigprodukten oder billig Waren. Der Obstsalat war frisch, nicht aus der Dose oder Eimer. Die Croissants noch warm und mit leckerer Füllung. Das Highlight war der frisch gebrühte Kaffee.

Auf den ersten Blick sieht alles sehr modern und gepflegt aus - auf den zweiten Blick war es aber schlichtweg ein Desaster.
Das Zimmer war sehr laut. Trotz neuer Fenster (Bauschaum noch sichtbar) konnte ich den Straßenlärm sehr gut hören. Mein Zimmer lag im dritten Stock nach vorne hinaus, was dafür sorgte das eine höher gelegte Straße genau auf Zimmerhöhe war. Und leider gibt es auch keine Verdunklungsmöglichkeit, sodass die Scheinwerfer mein Zimmer immer wieder erhellt haben...
Die Matratze war ebenso wie das Kissen bretthart und sehr unbequem. Mit Fernsehen darüber hinwegtrösten war auch nicht, weil neben ZDF info (Weltkriegsdokus) kein anderer deutscher Sender empfangbar war. Immerhin gibt es Gummibärchen zur Begrüßung und es stand ein, vermutlich wochenalter, offener Muffin im Zimmer...
Das Bad mit Dusche war dann ohne Tür im Zimmer. Einen Fön gab es nicht und Shampoo nur fest neben dem Waschbecken, nicht in der Dusche. Nicht so schlimm, wenn es wenigstens mehr als drei Minuten Wasser gegeben hätte. Das ging einfach während des Duschens aus und dann erst 15 Minuten später wieder. Beim Frühstück konnte ich dann hören, dass es nicht nur mir so ergangen war.
