City hotel is perfectly located to amenities and public transport. Spacious clean rooms. Tea/coffee/milk/kettle and cold bottled water in fridge was an added bonus. Beds were very comfortable. No noise heard from the street and very peaceful at night. First hotel I've been to where i didn't hear doors banging and noise from other rooms. Breakfast was also very nice and plentiful. Very friendly and helpful at reception too. Would stay here again

Clean, in very good location, quiet and spacious room. The first night there was a cigarette smell coming through from somewhere and in the morning I could not open the window as there were noisy road works in front of the hotel from 7am, but at least the room had excellent sound proofing. Overall a good choice with a couple of snags.

the hotel is central and walkable to the train station and the local tram and buses pass right outside the hotel. The room was clean and reasonably sized and staff were friendly and efficient to interact with.

No complaints. I didn’t like the slope floor in the entrance to the bathroom it took me by surprise because I didn’t notice it (I have bad balance). I’d be a little cautious at night as it is very close to the train station and there were some questionable people there. Otherwise very spacious room, clean, comfortable bed, nice shower.

I will definitely choose City Hotel for my next visit to Luxembourg. It offers everything a solo traveler could want: clean, quiet rooms with ample storage space and a lovely bathroom, plus a comfortable bed and satisfying breakfast. We had a corner room and it was really big, had a king size bed and another areas with sofa and tv. Bed was very comfy and the shower was very powerful.
5 mins from train station and 15 mins walk to the beautiful old town. great location

we used the bad drop facilities and everything was great.

No issues.
Initially it didn't look as fancy as some of our hotels but it was a great surprise.

This hotel was a nice price for what it is. Our car parking was free. But, is not right on sight, which didn’t bother us because we didn’t plan to drive much once we were in Luxembourg city. Its location is not right in the heart of all the sights. But, it is a fifteen minute walk, or, even better, across the street from central station. Super easy to hop on the train and get to the main attractions in about 10 min. The breakfast buffet that came with our room was better than expected. There were so many options. Even having breakfast there 3 mornings we felt like we never tired of it. They did change things up a little each morning. My husband especially loved the fresh squeezed orange juice. The bed was comfortable. Pillow was comfortable. Maybe our only complaint, the first night, was a lot of noise in the night from drunks hanging around the train station. There was also a weird noise in the ceiling (we were on the 3rd floor), that woke us up the first night. So, the next 2 nights there, we just put on some white noise music and put in ear plugs and it was fine. All in all, it was a great hotel for the money, and very convenient to see Luxembourg City and also easy to hop on a bus or train for day trips to other cities. The public transport is free. So, it is a great home base hotel.

Good location for the centre and close to the bus stop which comes straight from the airport (for free). Nearest bars and restaurants 1 minute walk away but not too close to hear any noise from, well not on the 5th floor anyway. Hotel is very smart and clean like the rest of Luxembourg with excellent breakfasts. No complaints at all, very happy with our 2 night stay

It is also nice that ten parking spaces are reserved for hotel guests in a secured underground parking garage (the entrance is situated on Rue Joseph Junck).

This was my first trip to Luxembourg City, and the hotel was perfectly located for me, just 5 minutes walk from the main railway station.

My room (58) was massive and felt more like a furnished suite. The bed was fine, and everything worked as it should.

The LG TV set up was initially clunky, needing two remotes. However once you get it working it was OK. I didn’t spot the fridge initially as it was hidden in the wardrobe rather than visible.

The breakfast room was functional, and the choice at breakfast excellent.

If I was returning to Luxembourg, I’d happily rebook.

City Hotel met our needs completely. Our accommodations were very comfortable, clean and amenities were exactly what we needed. The available breakfast was satisfying - typical European breakfast of cold meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal, along with scrambled eggs, sausage. Perhaps the best appeal of City Hotel is its close proximity to the Central Station. If you are taking a train out of the city, or looking to access the local buses or trams (which are FREE!) it is an easy walk around the corner, with direct access to the airport. There are numerous restaurants, shops, and grocer within the area... City Hotel is definitely worth a visit!

Nice location

Location is great around the corner from Gare Central. We can take the tram directly from airport to Gare Central and walk just a few minutes to hotel. It was very nice to get our room when we got there. Breakfast is very good and the lady who runs the breakfast area was pleasant and efficient in refilling the items. Loves the fresh squeezes orange juice.
