Outstanding in every way. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel lobby has great free coffee and hot chocolate. The spa is amazing. Great pool, steam, saunas and showers.
The room is large, well furnished and comfortable. The bathroom is wonderful.
The hotel is a five minute walk to the Town Hall Square full of shops and restaurants.

We loved the spa at Lydia Hotel. And bravo to the management for making this relatively small space adults only. In the same week we stayed at the Radisson Collection in Tallinn, where children were allowed to run around and yell. It was bad experience.

Wonderful hotel in a great location

My wife and I stayed at the Lydia hotel (classic double room) for one night in July 2024. We absolutely loved this Michelin star hotel! The hotel and the room were very clean, modern, and had everything we needed. Our room faced the park, so it was very quiet, and we slept like babies in the very, very comfortable bed. The location is fantastic, right across the street from the old town’s main square. There was no room in their parking garage as I hadn’t pre-booked parking, so bear this in mind. I parked in an underground garage a ten-minute walk from the hotel, and it was very reasonable (€10/day). The breakfast was extraordinary, lots of choices but also so well prepared, from the fluffy scrambled eggs to the honey produced in their own apiary on the roof of the hotel. We were sorry we didn’t eat at the restaurant the night before when we saw how great their breakfast was. Perhaps best of all was the lovely staff. They were all so friendly and helpful, in stark contrast to what we experienced the previous two days in Tallinn. You won’t go wrong with this delightful hotel, and we would absolutely stay there again.

Outstanding hotel. The room itself was big, everything was new and updated, with a nice shower and several thoughtful little amenities.

It is in the best place any hotel could be - right next to the quaint Downtown area - Raekoja Plaza and university - and there is an option to walk to Toomemagi or riverbank for a morning exercise.

To top it off, the hotel has a Michelin awarded restaurant that deserves its fame. I did not use the pool or fitness center but they have one.

Overall, one of the best hotels I have stayed in.

Probably one of the best hotels in Tartu

The room (5th floor) was very spacious and comfy. Being a big coffee fiend I enjoyed the coffee-maker in the room. Beautiful views of Pirogov Park. Breakfast was tasty. Really enjoyed the small spa with its two saunas - great way to unwind in the evening or start your day.

Perfect Place to Stay in Tartu

Excellent property. Beautiful, modern rooms. On-site parking in the heated garage was perfect for our rental car. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good and had a beautiful view of the park. The property is located about 15 steps from Town Hall Square and the Christmas festivities. Lovely place in a great location, definitely recommend

Stayed at this wonderful gem of a city center hotel ofr two nights in August. Excellent location, friendly staff and well worth the **** rating.

Small but well equipped spa has three different saunas, swimming pool and hydro massaging. Very good breakfast, quality ingredients.

Highly recommeneded and will stay again.

This is the place to stay!

The comfort level was worth leaving the comfort of my home for. The pillows are the best and the beds were very comfy too. The whole place is super clean and well thought out.
The best spa with two saunas and a steam room. One sauna is a Finnish sauna. The pool is pristine and the perfect temperature.
The staff were so nice, welcoming and accommodating. The thoughtfulness was so obvious from reception lounge to room. Lime water in the reception and a package of organic berry snacks on the pillows. The best robes and slippers provided. I even bought a robe to take home!
The location is ideal, on a park and walking distance to all the restaurants and cafes. €4 Taxi to the Elron Train Station and the bus station is even closer.
This is my new favourite hotel and I’ve stayed in about 26 different hotels last year and 4 already this month.

Great modern hotel in a quiet but central location

This is a clean, modern hotel in the centre of Tartu,very close to the town square - only a minute's walk. The room was excellent, with a large comfortable bed and a pleasant sitting area. There is a small exercise room with a few free weights, a Concept 2 rower, a cross trainer and a running machine. Nothing special, but better than nothing. Only 1 bench, though, which is not enough. There is a Spa with sauna etc., which I did not use, but looked to be well maintained. The restaurant is supposed to be one of the best in the Nordic region. It was perfectly nice and the food was well presented (small portions), but I it didn't quite make it for me. My room was at the side of the hotel looking over the base of the Toome hill and, despite being close to the road, was very quiet. A very pleasant hotel and I would definitely stay again.

Modern boutique hotel close to everything

Lydia is a small, modern boutique hotel in the middle of Tartu close to all the attractions of this great little city. Room was well furnished with all the comforts and amenities of any 5 star hotel. Hotel restaurant is first class and patronized by the locals, so advance reservations recommended. Hotel is across the street from the city center plaza and close to the university. Highly recommend this hotel.

Yhden yön stay cation

Ihana yhden yön staycation. Laadukas ravintola, rauhallinen aikuiseen makuun. Aamiainen oli monipuolinen ja spa ihana ja siisti. Ainoa mikä harmitti oli se, että jotkut vieraat toivat lapsensa riehumaan spa-tiloihin klo 21 jälkeen tai antoivat näiden mellastaa aamiaisella. Tämä ei kuitenkaan ole hotellin vika.
