Great stay except for one issue

It was amazing, we had a great time and the room was beautiful with a great view. We encountered one problem. After using the onsen facilities including the dry sauna, the next day, the rooms were swapped. The women's room became the men's and the men's room became the women's room. The steam room in the men's room was out of order which was disappointing. We went to this hotel for the their onsen (hot springs) facilities, I wish we were told in advance that the steam room was out of order. We did not enjoy all of the facilities especially after paying such a high price for the room.

As a 5 stars hotel entitled with “Intercontinental” and under “IHG Group” they should be thankful to all international staffs who willing to work at this hotel. They had presented hospitality and deserved to be complimented. I was bringing my best hope and expectation to book this hotel. I had much appreciated the check-in staffs who had upgraded a city view room for our stay however the cleanliness was terrible, full of dirty marks on carpet, dirty sheet cover made me and my parents got itchy after seat on bed…the housekeeping after the second day didn’t tidy up and stocked back the room well..
I am so thankful to all international staffs from doormen, concierge and FOH although I can’t pronounce their name properly i was sorry, I do believe they need more training about their service attitude for local staffs if this hotel would love to stay their market customers.
The breakfast they have which is so basic and nothing have to be surprising, I will rather spend these price to local hotel instead but will never recommend or return.

The hotel is expensive but worth it. Our breakfast was amazing, the pool and hot tub spotless, and the room/bathroom/balcony very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a beautiful location on the hill and was a treat to be at for our four nights! Also, it is a good location for some sightseeing such as the seven hells.

The Pinnacle of Private Onsen Resorts

Our stay at this resort was immaculate. Upon arriving at the hotel, staff promptly came out to take our luggage to our room and chauffer our car to a separate parking lot, all included in our stay. I decided to splurge here for me and my girlfriends anniversary and it was worth every single penny! Everything from the impeccable service to the beautiful interior and lobby was spotless and breathtaking.

Instead of checking in and out at a front lobby near the entrance, guests are ushered into a separate lounge provided with refreshments. The staff assigned to us was professional and yet friendly and down-to-earth, assuaging the initial discomfort me and my girlfriend had at being unaccustomed to such high-class service. Soon we were in a pampered and relaxed mood, as expected of such a high class resort combined with Japan's famous hospitality omotenashi. Soon we were brought to our suite, which was absolutely incredible. The interior was spotless, the bathroom spacious and beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were perfect, everything from the surround sound in every part of the room to the dimmable lighting. Last but not least, the view from the balcony overlooking the Beppu coast was a priceless sight we will never forget, especially when combined with our heavenly private onsen bath. I will most certainly be back one day to relive this 5 star experience. Look no further for the pinnacle of private onsen resort relaxation than this hotel!

An amazing and breathtaking onsen stay!

It was a breathtaking onsen spa resort that really relax mind and soul. I love the Mt Tsurumi view from the room that blew my stress away! The private onsen in the room gives me the best of both worlds to enjoy a spectacular scenic view and yet my private enjoyment of onsen! The staff at ANA Intercontinental Beppu Resort&Spa really provided top notch customer experience to make me feel at home and living up to the five stars rating they truly deserved! The Element restaurant delivers authentic Japanese fusion food with local fresh vegetables and local harvest truly enhanced the dining experience and exquisite taste!

高級ホテルにしては使いずらい。何か安らげなかった。部屋は滑り安く転倒したら危ないと感じた。温泉は気持ちよかったが、眺望がみられないため残念だった。浴衣ではなくリゾート寝巻き等がよいと思う。部屋の説明字が小さいので見にくいと思う。改善向上を期待しています。

We visited for two nights and three days to celebrate our daughter’s second birthday.

I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to each and every staff member for their exceptional kindness and hospitality. Thanks to all of you, we were able to create truly special memories for our daughter, who has just turned 24 months old.

Everything—from the cleanliness of our room, the quality of food and beverage outlets, to the pool and onsen—was outstanding. I would gladly give a perfect score for all the facilities and services.

Special thanks to Faye for assisting with our check-in, and to Takamura and Oishi (apologies if I’ve misspelled your names) for helping us make a restaurant reservation in Beppu city. I’m also thankful to the staff who kindly assisted with check-out and valet service around 11 a.m. on the 19th. While I may not remember every name, please know that we truly appreciated everyone’s efforts.

As a five-star hotel, the facilities and services were, of course, excellent—but what made our stay truly unforgettable was the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff. My wife, daughter, and I were able to enjoy a wonderful, happy holiday thanks to all of you.

Best part of Beppu

Resort was amazing with great onsen. We stayed in all through our stay because of snow and it was so nice and cozy. French restaurant within the hotel was also superb. When we were leaving- we had to put on snowchains because of the snow and it was such a hard work and the staff (Takahashi and few other staff were there for us) was so helpful and put them on our tires for us. Also I left my novel in the room and they are shipping it back to me for free and i am very grateful. Thank you so much for the amazing experience.

최근에 지어진 훌륭핰 호텔입니다만
서비스가 전혀 그에 걸맞지 않습니다.
수영장 베드 이용이 50분씩이라는 안내를 했다가 안했다가 하다가 저희가 맥주와 피자를 먹으니 말 못하다기 맥주 줄어들기를 기다리다가 가급적 먹고 빨리 베드를 비워달라 하여 불쾌하였고 조식이 정말 가짓수도 적고 맛도 별로입니다. 같은 음료를 시켜도 작은 물컵에 담아 서빙되는 사람과 큰 음료컵에 서빙되는 사람이 있어 황당했습니다.
이후 후쿠오카 그랜드하얏트 조식 및 서비스와 비교되었습니다. 체크인, 주차, 체크아웃, 룸서비스에서는 진정한 hopitality를 느꼈어요. 다만 레스토랑, 수영장(레스토랑 직원과 동일함) 서비스는 매우 의아하고 불쾌했습니다.

호텔은 현대적이고 깨끗합니다만 언덕위에 떨어져 있는 위치 때문에 차가 없으면 걸어서 갈수 있는 레스토랑이 없으며, 호텔에는 레스토랑이 단 두곳이라 선택의 범위가 적었습니다. 또한 주변에 산책할수 있는 곳이 없습니다. 온천물은 좋았고 시설은 좋습니다

- 바다와 어우러진 멋진 도시풍경을 바라다 볼 수 있는 우아한 호텔로 룸이 넓고 안락한 구조로 구성되어 있음.
- 벳푸시내와 동떨어져 있지만 호텔에서 제공하는 셔틀차가 있어서 예약을 통해 편안하고 유용하게 벳푸시내와 호텔을 오고 갈 수 있음.
- 온천을 즐길 수 있는 사우나가 잘 갖추어져 있음.
- 직원들 모두가 친절함. 특히 한국인 직원(Mr. Choi)이 상주해 있어서 벳푸관광정보와 친절하고 상세한 안내를 받을 수 있었음.
- 호텔룸을 지정받는 것에 따라 차이가 있겠지만 호텔룸에서 사우나로 이동하는 경로가 복잡하고 불편하였음.
- 호텔주변에는 아무런 산책공간이나 시설이 존재하지 않음. 버스로 이동시 하차정류장부터 호텔로 오는 경로는 낮과 밤 모두 위험함. 특히, 어두워지면 아무것도 보이지 않아 대단히 위험하기 때문에 사용하지 않는 것을 추천함.
- 호텔조식식사의 음식이 정결하나 메뉴가 거의 바뀌지 않기 때문에 2박 정도가 적당함.

結婚記念日で利用

結婚記念日として利用しました。クラブラウンジアクセス付きのプランで、チェックイン前の待ち時間・アフタヌーンティー・イブニング・ブレックファーストいずれも利用しました。ドリンクやフードも美味しく、利用する宿泊者も限られていて快適でした。
レストランも予約しましたが、一部アレルギー食材がうまく伝達できていなかったため、途中で部屋に戻ることになりました。いろいろなスタッフにご協力をいただき、無事に結婚記念日を過ごすことができました。

部屋は天気が悪かったので初日はほとんど眺望は見られませんでしたが、翌朝は街並みを見ることができました。ベッドもとても寝心地がよく、清潔感もある部屋でした。ウェルカムスイートもありましたが、満腹だったために手をつけられませんでした。

また、本来であれば温泉やスパなども利用したかったのですが、2人の体調や怪我などの諸事情で全く使わなかったので個人的には満期と言うまでは行きませんでした。

一方で、ホスピタリティだと思っていますが、多少過剰なサービス・ケアも感じてはいました。滞在者によっては、ある程度フリーに過ごせる雰囲気も欲しいかなと思いました。

新涼に　みどりを流す　扇山

山近く、別府湾を眼下にみおろし体の芯からリラックスできました。夕食では、ソムリエの毛利さんからベストチョイスの白ワイン。チェックアウト時では、安さんの何でも吸収しようとの熱意を感じ会話が弾み、素晴らしい笑顔に魅了されました。ルームミラーから見えなくなるまでのお見送りありがとうございました。ただ、フロントを通らずに温泉への案内が分かりやすければと感じました。次回は、ランチとスパも利用したいと計画します。
