We had a lovely stay at this hotel. They were very kind and checked in on our arrival time before we arrived. The breakfast is very good and a must have!! The hotel was very clean and pretty and the rooms are wonderful and spacious. Next time we’re in Verona, we will definitely stay here again!

We loved verona! This property is in the san zemo neighborhood, a short walk and across the river from the busy center of verona. This hotel was lovely. Only 12 rooms that are more like mini suites. This is an historic building that used to be a monastery. Just around the corner from the hotel is a beautiful duomo and fantastic restaurants where we had excellent dinners all 3 nights of our stay. Definitely an area where there are more locals than tourists. Stay here if you want a beautiful spot.

It was a beautiful quiet spot and walkable to the shopping area and local interest spots. We enjoyed the little courtyard outside. Our room was like a little apartment and ample in size. The bathroom was sufficient, although the shower was small. Friendly staff. In general I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The room was large and charming. The bed was so comfortable. No elevator. Very quiet neighborhood. Nice restaurants nearby. 15-20 minute walk to the city center and arena.
On Expedia, it is claimed there is laundry facilities available. That is one of the reasons I choose this hotel. There is not!
Also, we watch a very little television when on vacation, but no English channels and no Wimbledon tennis. Very disappointing. A lot of Russian and Middle Eastern channels.

Good location, within 10 minutes walk in to the old town, safe and quiet with good food only around the corner, and a large supermarket - Conad, would recommend this hotel, but make sure all arrangements are made and understood at check in, as trying to find a member of staff during the day is impossible, and you need to call the emergency number for anything

I had a wonderful stay while attending a conference. The staff were all professional, warm, friendly and attentive. The location was ideal for exploring the city as it was walking distance from many of the sights. The hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable. The facilities were all very modern although the building and decor feel charmingly historic.

A hidden gem, with great location

The perfect stay, in a middle age convent. Spacious and very clean rooms. You have the feel of being transported back to the middle ages, but with all the modern facilities you require.
The staff is wonderfull and welcoming.
Search no further for your Verona accomodation. This is where you want to stay.
This is a converted convent, so there are no lifts, but that's not a problem. If needed the staff will give you a helping hand.
The reception and entrance doors are closed after 9.00 pm, but you're given a key, so there's no problem getting in after a late meal in wonderfull Verona.
The convent is situated a mere 5 mins. walk from the arena. But it is also located outside the \"no-drive\" zone, so it is perfect if you arrive by car. The hotel also provide you with a residence parking allowance, so you're able to park your car as a residendent of Verona. Small fee apply.
Trainstation, Porto Nouva, is 15 min. walking or 3 min by car/taxi.
A brilliant stay for families, couples or friends.
For longer stays, the rooms have kitchenettes which you may use for a small extra fee.
Good aircondition.
The breakfast is excellent, and the coffee they make is superb.
When in Verona, stay here.
We will come back for sure.

It was lovely to find fresh fruit and flowers.

A large room in a beautiful building but you have to pay extra if you want to use the kitchenette in the room. There were no coffee and tea facilities but a kettle was provided when asked.
You look out onto a brick wall on the opposite side of the road which can be quite noisy early in the morning.
The breakfast staff were very attentive and even remembered and prepared delicious fresh scrambled eggs for me which was so considerate and kind.

Nice and friendly hotel about 20min walk from old city center. We got to check in early and they did great job decorating the room as we were on our honeymoon. We felt really welcome and the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and clean, better than the pictures.

Hotel received a lot of great reviews. It was conveniently located, the staff was very helpful, especially Richard, and the morning breakfast was delicious. However, the a/c does not work. We were in one room and it was warm/humid in the room, halfway below ground so the windows were at street level, and the blow dryer was broken. We were moved to another room where the A/C was supposed to work but the room never cooled down below 23 or 24 degrees even though a/c was set at 16. This made sleeping difficult. Had I started in the second room, I may have given a higher rating, but having started in the basement room, this was the best I could muster.

Overall OK stay some small improvements needed

We chose to walk to the place from the station, it was conveniently located and took us about 20 min to walk there. Since we didn't have heavy suitcases it was a nice walk. Please pay attention that this residence has a check in restrictions - as we understood checkin was available until 8pm as per our booking reference. An apartment had a living room with small kitchenette/glassware/crockery/china/food prep stuff), shower/toilet and a bedroom. Disadvantages for us were windows in the ceiling in the living room (2 small windows so it was quite dark), window in the ceiling in a bathroom and a window with blinds in a bedroom. We would find it useful if there were any hangers/hooks near the entrance (if it's raining for instance there is nowhere to hang wet clothes- guests need to enter the space wet and dirty). Also we would find it more comfortable if there was a coffee table in the living room next to the coach- we wanted to sit down and have enjoy a glass of a good Italian wine but had to put it on a chair (there was a dining table in the corner though). When tried to open all windows dust came off right on our heads. This space needs better cleaning that's for sure. And please more hangers in that huge retro wardrobe (there were only a few- 3-4 for 2 people it is not enough). Taxi on the way back was ordered with a help of a receptionist (€29). Overall it was ok to stay in an antique place (we learned it only when asked about it).

Spacious room situated in a quiet part of Verona.

Nice hotel situated approx 20 minute walk from the centre of Verona. The interior is a little tired and in need of updating but kept immaculately clean. The room we were in also had a kitchenette/ dining area as well as double bedroom. I think you would be hard pushed to do much self catering with the equipment that was in the kitchen. Saying that there are plenty of restaurants just around the corner from the hotel. We had some lovely meals at reasonable prices and didn't want to cook! Perfectly suitable for a base to explore beautiful Verona

The Antico San Zena is a lovely small boutique hotel only a 10 minute walk along the river to the centre of Verona. On entering you are immediately impressed by the decor and old antique furnishings. The reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful with advice and information. We had a room/suite on the first floor, with the window looking out towards a deconsecrated church (so no bells in the morning!) The room was large with, in addition to the two single beds, a bed sofa and kitchenette. Breakfast was quite substantial and varied, and taken in the impressive vaulted brick ceiling basement. Friends and family will be visiting the beautiful city of Verona in the future and we will definitely recommend the Antico San Zena.

Wonderful hotel with antiques and marble setting. Excellent value with large room and adjoining basement room. Great breakdast fir 5 euros per person set in a wine cellar. Close enough to walk to main attractions. Local bars and restaurants 2 minutes away. Overall a special experience.

Incredible experience

Stunning property. Our apartment was unbelievably spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is served in the wine cellar/dining room and is so generous and scrumptious. Hospitality was so warm.
We had the most wonderful stay here, in Verona. The price made it a real steal, too. Highly recommend, overall.

From initially checking in to checking out, everything about our stay was faultless. We were offered a choice of room and chose the first one we were shown. It was huge,with a small kitchenette area with fridge which was extremely welcome. Very quiet and comfortable. The bed itself was hard, but this was fine for us and there were additional pillows which we used. Aircon was good, although due to the extreme heat it had its work cut out! it would have been nice to have a shower but we knew we wouldn't have one from the outset. Breakfast was typical continental, however the lady who ran it was extremely helpful and always gave Us good welcome. I would heartedly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to return. Within walking to all major sights.

When we first arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a young gentleman with glasses who was very nice. He made us feel at home in the hotel and taught us the 'tricks of the trade' in Verona. We stayed in a lovely room and sleept well.

À notre arrivée, l’hôtel a voulu nous refaire payer le séjour, nous avions réservé un appart-hôtel avec coin cuisine, 1 lit et 1 canapé-lit, mais comme nous étions 2 adultes, ils ont considéré que nous n’avions besoin que d’un lit et le canapé-lit n’était pas fait. De mauvaise grâce, les responsables ont accepté de nous fournir 2 draps en tant que \"geste commercial\", mais ont refusé de fournir une couverture. Ils ont aussi refusé de nous fournir le matériel de cuisine que nous étions pourtant prêtes à payer, prétextant qu’il était trop tard (l’information n’était indiquée nulle part lors de la réservation ni de la confirmation). Cerise qur le gâteau, le sèche-cheveux ne fonctionnait pas !

L'Apparthotel San Zeno è una struttura davvero piacevole, comodissima al centro di Verona e alla stazione di Verona Porta Nuova. Il personale è molto attento ed accogliente. Le camere ampie, ben arredate e molto pulite, come il bagno provvisto di tutto. La colazione è ricca e varia. Consiglio assolutamente di scegliere presso questa struttura per passare una piacevole vacanza nella splendida città di Verona.

The Hotel is very, very beautiful. Sensational atmosphere and very nice furnitures and rooms. I loved my room and the breakfast. My only point i was wondering was the internet connection. The speed is limited with 2mbit which allows you to surf but for streaming or video call its not enough.

La struttura è risultata nel complesso pulita salvo un terribile odore di fogna nel bagno che si verificava ogni qualvolta veniva tirato lo scarico dal bagno della camera soprastante. Il servizio reception è male organizzato: non vi è stato alcuno scambio di informazioni tra il personale durante il cambio giornaliero ed ogni volta era necessario ripetere le nostre richieste che puntualmente venivano disattese.
In ultimo l'accoglienza è stata pessima non solo per la poca cortesia del tipo che ci ha accolto, ma anche perché lo stesso (nonostante lo avessi chiesto telefonicamente) non ci aveva avvisato che era praticamente molto difficile trovare parcheggio in quella zona, e che l'unico a disposizione era un improvvisato parcheggio a pagamento sul piazzale antistante di proprietà della struttura.
NON consigliato...

No tan cerca del centro y con fallos solucionables

Es un edificio muy bonito y con una decoración también cuidada. Está en zona tranquila pero no en el centro de Verona y a una buena distancia de la estación de tren. Nuestro apartamento era muy grande y de techos altos, con lo cual hacía bastante frío (no supimos o no se podía cambiar el termostato má alla de los 19-20 grados) Se sobreentiende que es un apartamento, tiene cocina, pero no hay microondas ni tetera, ni sartenes, sólo cazos y ollas. El desayuno el primer día estaba todo frío, el personal del comedor muy agradable. Lo que menos me gustó fue el colchón de la cama, verdaderamente incómodo.Las cosas negativas son subsanables, en cualquier caso creo que elegiría otro alojamiento
