Staff were extremely kind and welcoming. We were truly pampered. Top notch. The lodge and grounds were more than we could have hoped for! Our park view room had a superb view! We could hear the elephants exhaling deeply as they were waking up in the morning as if we were having a sleep over! My son loved every moment and didn’t want to leave. Can’t say enough good things. Do not miss this. Best experience on the island in 4 weeks of travel over 2 trips. I would liken the staff service here to staying at Aman resorts - truly pampered.

This place is beautiful. Friendly staff, delicious food. This is a luxury experience, living among elephants. This property has 24 elephants that are well taken care of; each elephant is handled with care, feed well, washed daily, and treated with dignity. From every room, you can see the elephants. Its such a treat; treat yourself to escape to paradise.

We enjoyed our stay here very much! It is TOTALLY worth staying here for a day or two. You get first access to saying good morning to the elephants before all the day-trippers arrive, and it's lovely to walk around the park in the evening. We came in Jan/26, so the park was very quiet guest wise. Breakfast and dinners were great (not included for us) and reasonably priced. As for the treatment of the ellies - they are well taken care of and have a much better life than before their arrival to Mason. Please watch the informative video, and talk to the mahouts. They are knowledgable and happy to answer questions! AS OF JAN 25 there are no more elephant rides - which was fine by us!! Just happy to be around such big beautiful gentle creatures.

The room was kept very clean and tidy, the staff incredibly helpful and kind. The lodge was such special place to be and being able to interact with the elephants was a "Bucket List" experience. Perfect stay. Wonderful room and staff. They even brought us a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to my husband. All the little touches made it memorable. Our stay included washing and bathing woth elephants along with an elephant safari and pick up via elephant for restaurant if you rang reception.

The staff were lovely! Very kind and attentive. No really anything bad to say at all except… if you can’t do hard beds… this is not for you. The beds were stiff. The shower went scalding hot every 10 seconds but other than that it was completely amazing. The elephants were very well cared for which was the MOST important part for me.

We stayed in the park view room for 2 nights. The views were wonderful in the late afternoon when the elephants were brought to rest in front overnight. You can watch them eating and hear them huffing quietly in the night.
The grounds were a pure delight to wander or just sit and enjoy, and feeding the elephants was a lot of fun!
The breakfast at the small restaurant was very disappointing, but it was much better at the larger restaurant overlooking the elephant bathing pool.
Our room had a leaking toilet, a very dirty glass in the bathroom with someones toothpaste spit on it and there was melted chocolate in the fridge. Not what we were expecting for the price paid, but the bed was comfy, service was great and the elephants were well worth it!

I stayed at the Mason Park Lodge and it was exquisite from being picked up from my balcony by an elephant for my first dinner to seeing a white peacock with its tail out and 3 giant tortoises on my last day. Everything was very convenient with a beautiful scene at every turn from lush foliage to beautiful wildlife. I was surprised that the menu at the restaurant seemed ordinary in comparison to the surroundings, however the food was well cooked and presented with as with everything else wonderful smiling service. Of course there were elephants at every turn, truely a memorable stay and experience.

Location and overall staff were nice. However most unpleasand experience in Bali yet.
They keep luxe park view rooms open on their website, and on arrival they claim issues with system and luxe rooms are double booked.

Paid alot for luxe room but as I said we got a worse room and some compensation vouchers way out of proportion and not matching the price we paid.

Elephants were beautiful however mistreated.

Stay away is deeply advised.
Biggest scam in Bali unfortunately.

If you are coming for elephants, you are going to be very happy! There are currently 24 elephants and the opportunities for interaction are excellent. If you are coming for the opportunity to experience the ultimate in luxury, you could be a little disappointed. But you will not be disappointed in the staff! So set your expectations for elephants, and enjoy your stay! The gardening is beautiful, but the air conditioning and dining could be a little bit stronger.

We absolutely loved staying at the Mason Elephant Sanctuary! Everything from the staff to the room to the activities were fantastic! The food was delicious in both the restaurant and the tree top cafe. We loved seeing the Elephants up close and having the opportunity to ride and feed them. The small museum was incredibly informative as well. We would recommend a trip here for sure!

The concept of Mason's is great, but I don't know if it's worth the stay. You can experience everything within one day. We stayed at the lodge for three days. Out of those three days, we stayed one day onsite and took part in the elephant safari and the washing of the elephants. The other days were spent off-site experiencing Bali/ Ubud. I had other friends in Bali around the same time who went to the zoo and could do more than we did at Mason's.

I’ll absolutely be back at Mason elephant lodge. It was the kindest service we’ve ever had. The food is amazing, the spa is amazing, and the elephants are so so happy! If you’re worried, google elephant body language. They are reproducing as well, which is a huge sign they are healthy and happy. Their keepers have been with their elephant for decades. It’s an amazing place. I can’t wait to come back. Special shout out to Oka! He is a doll.

An all round amazing stay!
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was FANTASTIC; comfy large bed, great size balcony and fruit plates!! We had an elephant directly outside our room but could see 5 in the mornings.
The park itself is beyond words; the elephant interactions are next level but the grounds a alaso beautiful, so many different plants and little hidden benches all through the park.
Not sure wgat happened to the buffet breakfast as was advertised on the menu but we were told they only have buffet lunch.. ala carte menu was still great.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MAGICAL EXPERIENCE IF YOU LOVE ELEPHANTS!!!

Beautiful facilities and grounds. The attention to detail in every corner of the rooms and resort is impeccable. The staff are so extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We found elephant lodge at the last minute and while we normally dont go to animal parks this seemed different so we tried - we had the park view room overlooking the elephants area , sitting on our big balcony was a treat the children were so excited. And then the elephants pick you up from the room to go to dinner! Once in a lifetime amazing experience- super top quality resort , very nicely organised . Well done to the whole team there and thanks for a wonderful experience.

Please do your research on the Jungle noise! I was not aware of the cicadas and OMG the noise drove me crazy! We stayed one night and it was more than enough! Staff is friendly and accommodating. I asked to switch the room d/t loud noise of cicadas. They upgraded our room and added a dinner ride by elephants which was exciting. There is nothing around the area. Pool was very small and not clean.
It was very sad to see that elephants are staying on the chains around their legs at the park and not moving freely. The elephants are forced to perform for the tourists. It is a magnificent animal but I was sad to see the condition they live in. The park was a bit old and needed some updating and more engagement.
The only 5 starts experience is the dinner: omg that chef was amazing! The most delicious meal we had in a while and we went to Koral under water restaurant thought we couldn’t be surprised anymore, but we were!

Pillows were solid but soft. all amenities were provided in the room. There a few cafe bar And restaurant options. We enjoyed all the experiences. They also offered Experiences such as helicopter rides to the volcano And white water rafting. It is a fair trip from any other activities but we booked a driver for the day and got to experience rice patties, lewak coffee and we also went to the monkey Forest. Ubud Was only about half an hour drive away. X

If you want to stay away from the busy Ubud center and explore the north and east areas of Bali, this is a awesome location tucked away in a remote forest. Beautiful property with an elephant park. The facilities were excellent. A little on the expensive side but well worth it. Residents get elephant rides to dinner everyday. With kids this was usually the highlight of the day. A lot of adventure activities close by and Mason lodge offers their own adventure packages. One thing I though lacking was the menu options for the restaurant. Since the resort is away from Ubud, it would have been better to have more food options, the same limited menu for multiple days got boring pretty soon!!!
Overall, an excellent place to stay if you want to stay away from the busy tourist areas and spent some time in a peaceful tranquil resort with elephants!!

A Must See Park in Bali

What a great experience! We totally recommend you stay at the lodge rather than just visiting the park for the day. Two nights is perfect and staying at the lodge offers benefits like a free elephant taxi ride to dinner that you would not get with a day visit. Staying at Mason Elephant Lodge was such a magical experience! It was so nice to just hang with the elephants, feed them and just experience their beauty. The park is clean, the staff were all lovely and were obviously there because of their love for the elephants.
Our room was really nice. They delivered a plate of fruit to our room after we were settled in. A really nice touch! We arranged to go on the sunset safari with dinner. The elephant picked us up at our room, we rode him through a forest area and arrived at our outdoor dining area for a wonderful gourmet dinner. The elephants were eating their dinner just on the other side of the fence where we sat for dinner. Honestly what more could we ask for! The lodge has a lovely pool and a couple of dining options. I expected food to cost a lot more, and found their prices to be reasonable. It really was an amazing experience!

This property is located above UBUD at TARO. Since it is secluded and dense forest you need to have your own vehicle because Gojek & Grab are not easily avilable. We had an smooth check - in & the staff was cooperative and spoke fluent English. Our room was Standard but had all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Later the receptionist informed us that they are offering complimentary elephant ride to their restaurant for Ala carte dinner. We really loved it as the experience was amazing & new for us. We really enjoyed the ride. Next day was our check out so we asked the receptionist to arrange elephant ride at 9 a.m & they oblige. We enjoyed our ride & the elephant was very friendly & calm.

My conclusion for this elephant park is that one should visit this park for an different experience and if you want to have close touch with elephants.

This property is a terrible place. We arrived after booking the 'Luxury Suite' to all be thrown into communal accommodation, one big room for our family. We had to sit in the dark from 7pm whilst our young children slept. It was supposed to be a working holiday, we were unable to work that evening. We stayed 1 night as the children were tired after the 3 hour drive. We saw the elephant trainers using excessive force on the elephants (metal spikes) which they say they do not do on the website. The elephants are also chained up for the majority of the day. The hotel agreed to refund us the 5 night balance upon checkout, and we found alternate accommodation. Now, they are saying that they told us on the day that we would not be receiving a refund. We are now trying to retrieve the agreed refund through Expedia. We are deeply disappointed and in disbelief. I would not recommend this accommodation to anybody. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The elephants were amazing, the grounds immaculate and beautifully landscaped. All of the staff members were very friendly and welcoming. My only concern was the mustiness in our room. The air conditioning cooled sufficiently, but there was still too much moisture, making it difficult to sleep well. I would rather have had a room with operable windows and a mosquito net for the bed.

Room felt old and dated. Workers are always trying to get tips. Would not recommend. Elephants are well treated overall but this is not an experience that we really enjoyed. Overrated

What could be better than seeing elephants throughout your stay? And the fact that you get transported for dinner to the restaurant via elephant is mind blowing!
The hotel room itself was beautiful, well appointed and extremely clean.
