Wonderful location with great views of the Naples. Friendly, smiling staff. Clean and very well designed hotel. The rooms are large and convenient. Fantastic dining. Breakfast is also provided a large variety of food and drinks. Bery convenient parking. Transportation can be a bit difficult without a car. Otherwise, great place to stay only half an hour’s drive from Amalfi coast.

The staff were very courteous, accommodating and knowledgeable. The building is outdated but very well maintained. The parking across the highway was inconvenient and the check in parking is inadequate. The hot water was either too hot or too cold and difficult to adjust. It eventually became satisfactory. The building's common areas including the dining room are very attractive. The grounds are exceptional as are the pool and spa.

Nice views and hotel itself

Hotel was OK, but we had bad smell of cigarets in our bathroom, also one towel had some hair on it, so not sure if it was changet at all before us. Reception staff responded to all requests very seriously instantly. View from the room was amazing, breafast was really good, restoran served good food. Not many staff members know english, but we managed to communicate using gestures and having a gool laugh :D outfoor swimming pool was included, rooftop area gives amazing views. Didn't use SPA service, but prices start from 30€pp. parking is free and spacious, area is remote, but not far from Vesuvius and Pompeii. In overall we would defo recommend it for relaxing stop for a day or two.

A good stop in the area with service exceptional!

The staff at this hotel are amazing. From the moment we arrived they could not offer to do enough and it continued throughout our stay. Our room was very large with a great balcony with views to the Bay of Napoli and the mountains in the other direction. The facilities are good. The only recommendation for help needed is the ambiance in the restaurant. It is a beautiful room, but it feels like a sterile hospital cafeteria because the lighting is far too bright (they have softer options available and candles on the tables, although not used or lit) and no background music. The food is good-no problems with the chef. They are always willing to create a plate for you. Although we did not use the pool and spa, they looked fabulous and were available , we just did not have time.

A lovely short stay...in the mountains

My girlfriend and I had a lovely and comfortable stay at the hotel. We stayed for 4 nights with breakfast included which was served until 10am. The beds were comfortable and the pool was refreshing. The italian sun was very strong so it was just what we needed when having a rest day from the activities nearby. There was ample parking with a classy restaurant on the reception floor. The italians were very eager to please and were so pleasant and positive as is usual when we meet italians. Although the driving in Italy is more stressful than in most countries. We had a great view from our room across the pool and mountains. One small criticism is that the air conditioning could have been cooler.

The hotel is located in Pimonte which is 52 min driving from Sorrento and about the same to Positano. If you do not have your car do not book this place as it is truly up in the mountain. For the price you pay there room is big and clean to compare with small places in Europe. The staff except the bar tender are horrible. We were standing for about 10 min to check in and the lady at reception desk just continued ignoring us. When my husband finally said something we were told that none of the 3 people at reception saw us. Breakfast is meh and good enough to have something VERY SMALL till you reach civilization. I am used to European breakfast but the breakfast is below standard here. If you chose to eat there for dinner or lunch which I do not recommend unless you are tried like to drive anywhere, don't be surprised by the service. As soon as you put your fork down the table will be cleaned and you get the bill.
If you are the adventures type that wants to wake up to the beauty of the mountain this is the place to stay at otherwise book something in one of the major touristy areas nearby.

The staff at the reception at the reception have zero customer service, the old gentleman in the hotel with the car park is absolutely friendly along with a young guy who serves breakfast, the hotel itself has stunning views but when mixed with terrible experience at the reception it's just nothing really. the cleaning staff too just don't do their jobs well, the sheets are never changed they turn them inside out and lay them again, towels are not changed regularly.I was there for ten days but just after the third day,I couldnt way to get the hell out of there.I do not recommend that place to anybody.

This place was way off the beaten road, the food was ok, the service was ok, but there was no roomservice. The bed was insanely hard, the bubble bath didn’t function, there was a dog barking in the neigbours garden the whole night and there were tons of trucks driving by and honking from super early in the morning. Worst nights sleep in Italy ever! I wouldn’t recommend this place.

It’s a beautiful hotel - architecturally and decor-wise - with serene grounds tucked away in the mountain village of Pimonte. I doubt you could find a hotel this beautiful in the heart of tourist locations. I would recommend having a car though to get anywhere - we did. All the staff we met were super pleasant and went out of their way to meet all our needs.

There is NO GYM at this hotel. Poor service

So we are a bunch of gym freak lads. We booked this hotel using the gym filter. Rocked up and were told there’s only a wellness centre but no gym! So off to a poor start.

However, particularly appalling was the service we received at dinner. There was a wedding taking place and as a result we were given a table in the corner out of the way. Furthermore upon asking for the menu we were told there is no menu and were given 3 food options only (presumably what was served to the wedding guests). However during the meal we noticed both sets of Italian guests seated either side of us were brought out completely different meals to those offered to us! When we pulled them up on this the waiter made out he misunderstood us despite us asking twice for a menu and even making a menu-opening action with our hands. They tried blagging it basically but we made them aware of our discontent in front of all the other guests. However to give credit where it’s due, once we raised this issue with hotels.com & the manager we were given the meal & drinks for free. This was the very least they should have done for how we were treated, but we had to fight our corner.

Overall this hotel is overpriced & overrated with no gym & poor service. I would not recommend it.

Nicely located (away from busy Naples), but you NEED A CAR, otherwise, you will have to rely on infrequent public transport and expensive taxis. Very close to Pompeii, Amalfi coast and Sorrento. The hotel itself clean, well looked after. Our room was good, we had a nice view - Napolitan Bay and Mount Vesuvius. It was being cleaned every day, bed was comfy and I liked the peace and quiet of the Pimonte/Ressico villages. My only complaint is the food- breakfast to be precise. It was very monotonous, bread (some of it very stale), low-quality cold meats, hard boiled eggs, cereal and an abundance of cakes (some stale as well), no fresh fruit (canned peaches, and pineapple I think), no hot food, juice tasted like fruit cordial, and the worst thing was the coffee! It was over-brewed ad tasted like \"feet\" (Friends fans will know what it means) They kept it in the big samovar and just topped it every day, and it was constantly brewing-yuck. We also had a lunch there on our 1 day, it was overpriced (50 euro for 2, portions small- fine dining style) but the food itself contrary to breakfast was nice and fresh. I can't complain about the staff, everybody was nice and quite helpful.

This hotel has fantastic scenery and the views are outstanding however the check in was appalling we were shown to the building where our room was and that was it! Weren't told when breakfast was or where or any information, we missed breakfast that morning due to this.
The rooms are very basic we had a hole in our bathroom ceiling, we found the bed was like sleeping on rock as well.
We booked in for massages in the spa which were lovely but when we went to use the facilities they were locked up for the day so never used them, and we couldn't get in the outside pool due to cleaning the whole time!
This hotel is also very far out and I wouldn't advise going there if you don't have a car due to everything taking so long to get too!

Great hotel, beautiful scenario away from the crowds, however without a car it is difficult to get to local attractions . You may end up spending quite a lot on taxis as buses are infrequent and the hotel strangely doesn't operate a shuttle service.

Lovely hotel high on the Sorrento peninsula. I suspect there are cheaper hotels in the area but the HSA had a great pool, a reasonable restaurant (although breakfast was sufficient but uninspired), stylish decor (faded grandeur) and was close with o Pompeii, Herculaneum and Amalfi (30 to 40 minutes from each).

hotel lovely although not as described on hotels.com. no coffee bar/cafe for afternoon snacks or sandwich. lovely large room with balcony and stunning views, however no table and chairs to sit out and enjoy scenery. air conditioning very poor, shower not good, just dribbles of water. water switched off during one day. lastly house next door had 2 dogs living outside that barked all day and all night so cut our stay short as we had no peace.

The hotel is good, it has the basic amenities required, food, shower and a bed. The staff are helpful, particularly the night staff. The main issue is that it is very remote and you need to hire a car . But if like me your not an experienced driver you may find it daunting. You will need to hire a taxi and pay a high price to do just that. If you are looking to rest and stay away from the touristic side of Italy then I recommend it. If you want a place close to all the tourist sites Amalfi, Sorrento then it is a little too far away for that. The menu at the hotel could be improved to offer more variety and breakfast could be a bit less starchy.

a well located nice hotel with great views

Our stay at Sant'Angelo Resort & Spa was very pleasant. We are a family of 5, and although we ordered a single quadruple room with an extra bed, the hotel was kind enough to give us 2 rooms for the entire duration, which was much more convenient.
The rooms were nice and clean, with a beautiful view from the balconies. The hotel itself, and especially the gardens, look very nice and well maintained. The kids just loved the swimming pool. The hotel is very well located for touring the area (we paid visits to Mt. Vesuvius, Pompei, Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri)
The reception stuff were helpful and gave us good tips for our Capri visit. The only disadvantage I can think of is that the hotel is located in Piemonte which is a little village a few kilometers uphill from the main roads, meaning that without a rented car it is very difficult to get in and out of the hotel, and even with a car it takes ~20 minutes to get to the starting point of most tours.

We actually paid extra to have a \"Superior Double Room\" On being given our key and taking one look at the room which had paint flaking both in the bedroom and bathroom area, a mirror actually being held in place by sticky tape, no tea or coffee making facilities but a fridge was available. The so called double bed was actually just two single beds pushed together with a large sheet over. It was painfully obvious that this was NO superior room, on asking about 4 different members of staff if it was which they all said yes to, a phone call was made to Expedia who got us moved to a different room but was not a lot better, just on the other side of the hotel with a distant sea view.

Although there was a average size terrace off the room there were no table or chairs provided to actually sit out there......on request they provided facilities for one.

2 plastic glasses were provided (but never changed during the whole 10 night stay). No shower gel was provided for the entire stay, only one shower cap (booked for 2).

Not a single picture in the rooms but wall hooks where they obviously should have been. Not a single bit of information about the hotel, ie no list of meal times and absolutely no tourist information on the area to be found in the entire hotel which was very strange. Even a Gideons Bible would have been something!

Food - The breakfast menu did not change in the entire 10 days, bread, ham and cheese with a few bit of fruit, no toaster to toast the bread.

Inspiring views of Vesuvius

We stayed 2 nights visiting Pompei and the Amalfi coast. The Sant Angelo hotel and spa is perfecty placed to visit both, with the hotel situated 30 minutes by car from each. The room we had was a good size for a family of 4 with amazing direct views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. It was quiet and restful, with swimming pool and good aircon to help escape the heat. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay memorable and made a very good recommendation for a place to eat out on our last night.

Only stay here if you are renting a car. Otherwise you are basically stranded in the middle of nowhere as Pimonte is a dying town. The public buses are so unreliable and never turn up or are hours late that every day we walked over an hour to Agerolla as the walks from here along the coast are good and the buses actually run here because people actually want to visit this town.
The breakfast was really rubbish.
The WiFi was really good and the room was big and the bathroom was nice with a big bath and separate shower. These are the only good points. The staff were unhelpful, and we spoke Italian well and they are still unhelpful

Nice hotel, a bit out of the way but quiet & clean

Our stay was very pleasant, we only used the hotel as a base to go to other areas. It was clean and relatively comfortable although the bed was a little too hard. If you are thinking about staying here a hire car would be a good idea. Even though there are quite good bus links going to various places that stop outside the hotel, a lot of our time was taken up by travelling on public transport. If you are going to use public transport you must buy a ticket from reception before you attempt to board.
The hotel has one feature above all else that was much appreciated and that was a man named Antonio. He works for the hotel and on a number of occasions came quite out of the way to pick us up when we had missed the last buses/trains.

Les extérieurs de l’hôtel sont très bien entretenus. Les chambres sont un peu plus dans une déco ancienne, mais très propres. En revanche, le petit déjeuner n’est pas très diversifié et le service laisse à désirer. Nous n’avions même pas fini de prendre le petit déjeuner que toutes les 2 minutes, il venait à notre table pour débarrasser.

Trovandomi in provincia di Napoli per lavoro con un caldo torrido, ho deciso di andare in una zona collinare al fresco pertanto, sono stato in questo hotel seguendo le recensioni e l'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Tutto è stato come volevo, ma in una struttura a 4**** mi aspetto di trovare in camera, la cassaforte per poter andare in tranquillità alla SPA oppure a fare un bagno in piscina. E a proposito della piscina: troppi schiamazzi di ragazzini che giocavano a palla in acqua e facevano ripetutamente tuffi. (non è di certo un relax) - a presto..!!!

Un agréable séjour malgré quelques inconvénients

Nous avons passés un agréable moment d'une façon générale. Par contre quelques ajustements sont nécessaires : l'isolation sonore est inexistante, nous pouvions entendre les conversations de nos voisins de chambre, les portes qui claquent jusqu'à 3h du matin ( peut être penser à mettre des systèmes de freins de porte ou de tampons pour amortir). Le matin du départ, aucun membre du staff à la réception à 6h du matin pour le check out. Nous avons aimés le buffet le matin , la gentillesse du staff. Idéal pour un court séjour. Le rapport qualité prix reste correct.

Kamer was niet echt proper. Ik er lagen dode beesten op de vloer enzo. Bedden waren niet aangenaam om op te slapen. Personeel was wel vriendelijk. Ontbijt was maar matig, met de dag was er minder keuze. Je ligt er wel rustig. Er is ook voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Vergeet ook geen badmuts als je toegang tot het zwembad wilt hebben.

Nice rooms with balcony - the hotel seems new and a lot of the staff act as if they has just startet.
Pool was very dirty and the spa bath in the room seems to have a eletricity malfunction when you try to turn light on. Eggs on the breakfast table is terrible if you eat after nine in the morning

albergo carino, camera spaziosa e pulita, purtroppo data la stagione non era fruibile l'area piscina (anche se almeno qualche lettino avrebbero potuto lasciarlo). Buona la prima colazione, anche le cene presso la struttura sono state buone e variate. Unico neo, l'impossibilità di spostarsi a piedi, la strada è troppo pericolosa, quindi l'auto è indispensabile anche per piccoli spostamenti.

Inte värt!

Snyggt hotell på utsidan, värdelös insida. Tråkiga gamla rum med klumpiga mörka tunga mörbler och väldigt lyhört, man hör grannarna som om dom vore i ens egna rum. Frukosten liten men ok, hittade dock svarta hårstrån i min äggröra 2 dar på raken. Viss personal är trevliga och viss personal verkar handlingsförlamad.

Skønt hotel i bjergene mellem Napoli og Amalfi

Skønt værelse med stor altan og udsigt til Napolibugten. Rent og pænt sted med serviceminded personale. Hyggelige omgivelser både inde og ude. Eneste minus var larm fra vejen og naboens hund og hane.

Nice mountain hotel with great food

We got a room towards the road which has a lot of traffic, but apart from that everything was very nice. Their restaurants could use a bit of “mood” or “charisma” as they Seem a bit “sterile” and quiet but the food is great - especially their bread. Beware if you are driving yourself that the mountain roads are very narrow. The hotel has exellent parking fascillities. We had a very Nice stay and would definetely recommend Saint Angelo to others.

FUI ROUBADO NO HOTEL E O HOTEL NÃO ESTA NEM AÍ.

Eu estou tao indignado com o hotel que se pudesse avaliaria -10 , nao pela estrutura mas porque eu fui roubado no hotel, esqueci meu chinelo e minha namorada algumas roupas e eles se quer enviaram algum email relatando sobre isso. Tenho certeza porque minha namorada deixou algumas roupas porque a mala dela estava muito pesada e ela ja nao queria mais algumas roupas e deixou no quarto e eu nao, meu chinelo eu esqueci no banheiro pois eu havia lavado para trazer para o brasil, meu chinelo foi muito caro. Enviei diversos emails para o hotel, não obtive nenhuma resposta. Coloquei credito no skype para falar com o hotel os funcionários da recepção totalmente despreparados para o trabalho me pediram para que eu não ligasse mais no hotel, que meu chinelo não foi encontrado e ponto final, não me atendem e não me respondem. Deixo aqui minha indignação, provavelmente o proprietário do hotel não deve saber disso. Solicitei conversar com o gerente e ele não estava como sempre. Muita falta de respeito.

Fint men behöver ett lyft i restaurangen.

Fint hotell med trevlig personal. Dock var restaurangen inte så trevlig, stel, upplyst matsal... Skulle hellre sett en bistro i anslutning till trädgården. Mer avslappnat.
Hårda sängar som alltid imedelhavsländerna.
