The headboards on the beds were really disappointing. They looked very dirty and gave the room an unclean feel, which took away from the comfort of the stay. The hotel would really benefit from replacing or properly cleaning the headboards — it would make a huge difference in how the rooms look and feel

Great for transit

We had a 14hour transit so this was perfect. We booked 12 hours and this was perfect. We got a breakfast and lunch voucher and the food was generally good. Not a huge variety at breakfast but we all found something we liked. The room was clean and comfortable, we all got a good sleep.

Knew to stay in transit, got to hotel and one of the new staff told me to go through immigration and I couldn't get back in. Lost the room, money and stayed on the floor of the airport. Abominable. Too risky, don't stay!!!!!

Sink was dirty and had to call to receptionist for toilet paper, no hair dryer.
Television would not work despite many attempts by staff to fix it
Food which was part of the plan was sparse and if unlucky and arrive after a few other people was very sparse and lacked variety.

the hotel located inside the airport and i need valid check in boarding to access and I didn't know about that and about these information, the hotel doesn't mention these informatoon in Expedia, moreover, I have contacted this hotel by phone call and never inform me about these information, the hotel must inform the vodtumers and residents about these onformation pripr to booking because many airport hotel for short stay available outside the airport not inside airport and they don't require valid boarding

When we reached there, the AC and TV were not working in the room allocated. Then, staff decided to change the room. They took us to a room and opened the door to find out it is occupied. This is not safe at all!
Regarding food delivered, it wasn't good at all.

Unfoŕunately we did not stay in hotel. Our luggage was not able to be transferred to our following flight. This meant we had to go through immigration and collect our suitcases and this meant that we could not re enter. We tried various options but due to location in building it was not possible therefore we did not benefit from getting use of hotel. I have re_read the info but for others information to be useful is make sure your luggage can be transfered.

The property offered a multiple facility to use during your stay, unfortunately, all those services facilities are closed and was not available to use.
As I mentioned in my previous review, the reception desk staff member was not welcome and rude to us.

Disgusting: Beyond Belief!

I was taken to two rooms both of which were utterly disgusting. Hairs, dried mucus on the head board as well as stains and marks with hairs on the bed itself. Not even something I could stay in for over 20 mins. Had to leave and I demand a refund in full!

Restful Night - Long Layover

The hotel room was beautiful. Very spacious and modern. The shower area is very nice - glass doors are a lovely touch, again, very modern. The room was clean. The bed very comfortable. The only issue I had was that there was no soap to wash my hands. However, there was shower gel and shampoo there.

I would like to give a special mention to the restaurant situated next door. The young lady in there went out of her way to help me with my food. She even had the chef prepare bread for me specially. So, a big thank you to her. Customer service went above and beyond with this young lady. A very pleasant overnight stay at this hotel.

- Comfortable bed and pillow, quiet, dining options, friendly staff.

Cons:
- Glass doors for the toilet is absolutely inconvenient and not culturally appropriate to Many people.
- Light control could be better designed and placed.
- The room occupants better offered 2 access cards for convenience not only one.

First 'layover' experience and it won't be the last. Been trying to figure out a way of dealing with the tedium of long-haul flights and this turned out to be the perfect way of breaking up the journey, grabbing some shut-eye and starting the 2nd leg refreshed. The Muscat Aerotel was great and exceeded expectations.

Hotel was very clean, comfortable with great staff, however I didn't like the 6 hours booking option. Since the hotel is inside the airport in the transit area, it is useful for people with long layovers. 6 hours generally isn't enough. From that point-of-view, it was quite pricy, however, it is very convenient not have to leave the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place for quick rest.

I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. But they gave me only one double bed with 2 pillows. I had to sleep on the floor and I used my cloths instead of pillow. Their staff didn’t even think that how 4 people should sleep on one bed. I paid for 4 people not two. I really don’t recommend this hotel for parents travelling with children.

For a tourist this hotel is ideally located,
however a tourist needs a reliable, or workable USB
connection.

The guy who came to look at said the whole hotel
system not only not working but has not worked for some time.
The bathroom a complete disaster looks nice but no place
to hang or place items like shaving razors etc.
extremely poor design.

The bed excellent, a d slept well.

The problem we face

Hotel is good but the guy on the reception gave us room for 3 person and we booked the room for 4 persons.. And after sleeping for 2 hours at night the air condition stop working and after calling in reception the guy on reception send Tecnition he switch on and off the ac breaker and told us after 10 min the air-conditioned will work..but after half hour noting happen and there was lack oxygen.and again call reception no one pick the phone then after many tries they pick the phone and change our room to the one we booked for 4 persons..totally irresponsible staff but the hotel was good and there air condition have issues.in connecting flight the main thing we need is good sleep but in this way it's useless to take room in such hotel...

The only thing is in the middle of the night a siren went off due to some kind of maintenance, and then the siren was crackling for about an hour. But other than that really a perfect place

This would be a good hotel to stay in overnight as the facilities provided are ideal for this. However, our 13.5 hour layover was during the day and we had numerous problems with the television connection which when worked only youtube or two arabic channels are offered. The staff did come to the room almost immediately approx three times to fix this. There is no hairdryer, although with the amount of time we had there, this was not a problem. The garden view room is of a garden but you have the windows of other rooms opposite you within close vicinity. The swimming pool was closed too.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel if you had a layover overnight, otherwise it would be best to take a trip around Muscat in the day which would be about the same price.

Information on this airport hotel is misleading. Airport security staff will not allow any passenger before six hours of departure to get inside through security. This hotel is only for international transit passengers who are having connecting flights and not for international to domestic flight passengers.

The experience was absolutely amazing. The hotel is right inside the airport so it's great for people transiting through, especially if you can't or don't want to exit the airport. The buffet was excellent and had lots of options. The only small issue I had was with the the rain shower and tv not working. We had staff come and look at the tv and they got it it working till it stopped working again and I didn't call them again, so that was a little bit on me for not asking. The room was VERY clean and comfortable. If I ever have a layover in Muscat again, I will definitely stay here again.

Lastly, I did have trouble trying to call the hotel to let them know when I will be landing but was not able to connect with anyone. I messaged them through the expedia app after I had a delayed flight to move up my check in and was worried if they would see my message in time. Once I got there, they were very accommodating and there were no issues with a late check in and I was able to stay for a full 12 hours as booked.

Ok hotel. Room was OK for 1 - just. Would be crowded for 2. Obviously just for 12 hour flight connection was fine. Dinner & breakfast was included, but poor choice, but was flying Oman Air as Gold member lounge access (next to hotel) was better and free.

Overall, an excellent place to stay if you have a long transfer between the flights.

Two major drawbacks, though:
1. There is no hair dryer in the room. (But you could get one from the reception.)
2. There are no USB sockets and no international socket adapters. (The hotel staff advised me to buy one in the nearby shopping zone.)

Not sure how the above two things were overlooked and why the hotel designers decided that travellers having a connection flight in Oman must carry their own hair dryer and a single-use socket adapter.

Nonetheless, I was quite happy with everything else. The room was clean and quiet, the food was good, the staff was friendly.

It’s basic but it’s all that’s needed for a long stop over. Hot shower and a nice comfy bed. The staff are friendly and breakfast is decent. Only downs were the television didn’t work and the toilet was wobbly. But otherwise good value for money.

Since we had 13 hours layover in Oman Airport, we had to book a room in this Airport Hotel, the stay was quite convenient as we don't have to squeeze ourselves with thousands of passengers waiting for their next flight in Oman and the fact that it is still during the pandemic. Room is spacious enough, I stayed with my wife and 5 year old kid. Complete amenities, cleanliness is not satisfactory though as we can feel the thick dust on the carpet while we walk, inside the room and the corridors, it won't be much of a problem but too bad both my kid and wife are allergic to dust so they end up having runny nose and sneezing all night due to allergic rhinitis.

On the other hand, I can say that hotel staff are very helpful and attentive to our request.

All in all, I can say that it's not a bad stay after all.

Comfortable but too transactional.

They are quite strict on the timed stay (12 hours). There is no flexibility here even for another hour with extensions chsrgeable at an unreasonable $25 per hour (given 12 hours was only $105).
The room was fine but the tv was very diffucult to operate. There was a software issue that a maintenance man had to keep coming back to fix. Not what you want in a timed 12 hour stay.
