Where to even start. First and for most the staff. From the reception to the mangers to the gardeners every single person intact with or just pass by was excellent. The place itself - was brilliant - I literally could be here all day pointing out all the great things. It’s a must for everyone. If you do stay here wound deffo recommend hiring a car as you are in the city and there are the most amazing places to visit in Oman in the rural side.

We decided to stay at the Chedi in Muscat and it was one of the best experiences in my life. We were upgraded and the suite was exceptional Ali g with the care the staff showed us. The property was STUNNING, it’s quiet and tranquil what I would expect from a Chedi. The long pool was the perfect temperature and the gym was also fully equipped with great equipment.

Breakfast was great, good options and all super tasty! Very accessible to the sights and shopping malls, taxis are very affordable.

My only minor grumble was the internet it was patchy and this may be due to the heat, but it was irritating.

Had a really good time at The Chedi. Got a free room upgrade upon arrival which was nice. One of the best things about it was the cleanliness of the entire property, room etc. minimal bugs too. The only down side when it came to cleanliness was that I think the pools could be cleaned a bit more regularly as we did sometimes find things in the pool but this is to be expected to some degree as it’s by the seaside too. Breakfast was amazing, top tier and couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast and the staff service was very good. The only other downside was that you have to take the hotel taxi if you want the taxi to pick you up from right outside the front door, this is problematic as the hotel taxis (Marhaba) are at least double the price of the normal Otaxi you can get elsewhere. To get an Otaxi, the taxi drivers must wait outside the hotel premises as they are fined if they enter the main pickup area which means you have to walk out a few minutes to get that taxi which isn’t too much of an issue but not ideal.

It was a wondrful stay , but only issue if you order taxi fron otaxi they will not allow them to come inside you have ti go out side

Had an absolutely pleasant stay at Chedi Muscat , super welcoming staff , great place with so many activities.
The only issue we faced was the transportation, unreasonable prices to be honest you cant book a taxi from outside the hotel or you need to walk all the way to the gate to reach your transportation !

So i highly recommend renting a car before going there .

Lovely peaceful luxury resort by the ocean

The suite was lovely, a good size, and everything was perfect during our stay. Staff were prompt and always helpful to our needs.
The suite hadlight switches/dimmers which is a refreshing change from the useless light solutions most modern hotels have where you can't set the lights how you need.
Would happily come back to this hotel for the experience.

We had a lovely stay at the Chedi in Muscat in early April and found it a very relaxing place to stay with family including teenagers.
The staff were very friendly and courteous.
One suggestion is to improve the atmosphere by arranging some activities and themed nights to engage the guests.

This is a very special hotel where you feel looked after to the highest level. The staff are superb and the pools and gardens stunning. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the club facilities. We ate in all the restaurants in the hotel and all were exceptional.
Some areas of the bedrooms felt a little tired and the beach was not the most picturesque but this would be the only negative I could find and would not warrant awarding less than 5*

Still the best hotel I have stayed in, one year on from writing the same after a previous stay. Great facilities, peaceful, fantastic dining options, but what makes the Chedi special is the staff. They really do care and it’s not about being paid to care. It is not family run, but it might as well be. Everyone from the gardeners to the management actually does want to look after you and make your stay special.

A magical stay in Muscat

A simply wonderful stay at The Chedi, the property is beautiful and the staff are just superb, they cannot do enough for you. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and I would highly recommend the club rooms as the additional extras included are well worth it - limo airport transfers, daily afternoon tea followed by cocktails and canapés plus laundry! The food in the restaurant is of highly quality. Overall, cannot recommend The Chedi Muscat enough!

From the first moment of our arrival we received an excellent service. All the staff was extremely attentive and nice. Especially Husam made us feel very welcome and gave us some insights into the country and the Omani culture. Also Milet and Marvel from the restaurant excelled with their friendliness. Even by the pool we were provided with lots of icy water, our glasses were constantly refilled. We really enjoyed our stay at The Chedi as all our expectations were exceeded. Incredible stay at the Chedi. From check in to check out, the process was all very smooth and the service from all staff was amazing. I would highly recommend staying here and would hope to stay again. Breakfast was very good too and staff attentive and accommodating.

The only downside is there are no lifts to some of the rooms (in line with the theme) but makes it difficult to come up and down. Also no taxis can come for pick up here, have to use hotel taxi.

Beautiful, sprawling property. Food is delicious.
My only comment is that the rooms are a bit dated. There are no USB ports next to the bed. Also the bathroom/shower/sink are completely open to the rest of the room so it is hard to use them without making a lot of noise.

Beauitful property, very nice and well-trained staff in every department (from housekeeping to dining waiters, etc). Would love to stay again! Loved the room service food ordered (top notch buger) and the complimentary soft drink beverages and water in the mini bar was perfect. The long pool was amazing and quite possibly the best swim I've ever had. The only thing that really bothered me during my stay was that it was assumed I was a male, so my welcome message on tv was \"Mr.\" and every time I called front desk, housekeeping or room service, I was greeted as \"Mr.\", too. It would be good to just eliminate the salutation all together. My first name is not a male name. And it's not uncommon for women to travel solo and/or make reservations. Otherwise, everything was lovely.

I had high expectations for this hotel, but did not reach them. We arrived at night, our first bad impression was that the hotel lobby, rooms and especially corridors were dimly lit, it was a bother especially for my parents (over sixty years old). The second worst impression we had, was also on the night of our arrival I had booked massages at the Spa for both my parents, it was very difficult to navigate \"the garden maze\" at night with no clear signage anywhere (had to memorize the spa location from map), we ended up reaching the end of the resort premsis, when I happened to reach the gym, asking where the spa was they took us back where we came from, and surprisgly which I have not seen or experienced anywhere else in the world! The spa was up a flight of wet (with water) stairs, which was very tiring for my parents!!! I brought to to relax and unwind they ended up have a strenuous exercise and arriving exhausted... Luckily they enjoyed their therapy. When I complained to the attendant at the spa about no signage and stairs I got the answer that their treatments could have been done in a room somewhere on the premises on the ground level (I kept wondering why didn't she recommend it when I called in advance to book the treatments? I was told upon arrival that the dry nuts were complimentary, upon checkout they notified that no they were chargeable. The daily fruit platter/basket complimentary for the club room was a set of 3 of the same fruit (green apples or pears)

The layout of the property is spectacular. the rooms are extremely well maintained, but maybe in design terms, somewhat dated. the staff are simply amazing. This is the middle east so stay away when it's really hot!
There are sufficient restaurants for a bit of culinary variety. There are three swimming pools - all enormous, and one available to families (the other two are adults only). The hotel is right on the beach. There is a magnificent spa. Journey time from Muscat's spanking new airport to the hotel is less than 30 minutes. Muscat is worth seeing too. Well worth a visit.

Two words.. Exquisite and tranquil. If you're looking to get away for a weekend respite from work, this is the place! It's quiet, pleasant with a beautiful beach front. More importantly, it is a brief drive to souqs and old Muscat if you want to see some sights. I will definitely visit again!

Really amazing hotel. Seriously WOW. Great architecture, service, food (particularly breakfast), pools, gym, prawns, rooms etc. And so convenient from London.

They should consider the F&B prices - it’s not Mayfair or Manhattan.

But it didn’t deter from the experience one bit - after all it has the accolade of LHW which is no mean feat

The service was outstanding. We had special dietary requirements and we were looked after superbly throughout. All of the staff were so helpful and courteous but special mentions to Dorian the head chef, Khaleel, both Deepak the waiter, Deepak the manager and Nitin, the sushi chef. The rooms are excellent and the property is superb - spacious with different pools and cuisines. What impressed us the most was the excellent communication between all the staff. We will definitely want to return!

Excellent hotel but enormously overpriced. The room was well appointed but very small, did not even have a proper bathroom or bath tub. The grounds are immaculate and very clean. The beach is adequate. The personnel are very friendly and service is good. The food at the restaurants is OK, but again extremely overpriced and then they tack on a 17% surcharge for tax as well as an additional charge as “service fee.”

Amazing Hotel one of the best I ever stayed in in my life, the staff are very welcoming and super friendly the hotel itself is amazing and all the three pools are fantastic, they have the longest pool in the middle east which is superb and they should focus on it more through advertising as i did not know till i got there, as we were celebrating our anniversary we were upgraded to Deluxe room and a cake was waiting for us once we arrived, and the nest day they surprised us again with a tray full of roses and macaroons, the room was big and comfy with a balcony, the beach is near to all the pools and they are all quite even though they are not empty but yet quite and relaxing and not to mention the continuous flow of iced water and fruits around the pool all day for everybody, our flight was late on the last day so they allowed late checkout till 3:30 which was very helpful, a small thing is that the breakfast is almost the same everyday but this doesn't mean it was not delicious at all, I am very satisfied with this stay and on the top of every great thing this hotel have from facilities to restaurants to beach, the thing I liked the most are the staff not a single mistake by any one starting from the valet till the manager they all fully understand what hospitality is and how it should be.

Most remarkably, though, was their helpfulness when we left a valuable item behind upon checking out. We called the hotel from the airport, and they sent the item with a taxi to meet us at the airport! So honest, so helpful, so kind.

Nice hide away

We were upgraded upon arrival and offered 20% discount on food and beverage which was a nice geusture. Overall the hotel was splendid

I’ve been to 73 countries and this is hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life. I’ve returned 3 times ever since I discovered it last year. Now if they could just reduce the price of food at this hotel, it would be perfect. Go during summer (June-Aug) to get a good rate.
