This hotel was fine for checking into before a 2.30am flight the next morning. The lunchtime buffet was fine (approx £20 each). Room was in pretty good condition, but the shower leaked slightly. Could have done with better TV channels. Not much for English travellers. The 11pm shuttle was a bit of a bunfight to get into. Not sure what happened to the people who didn't fit into it! The building causes a lot of shade, so you don't get much sun in the afternoon.

Great location near the airport but it’s not a typical airport hotel. Nice gardens, pool as well. Free shuttle to the airport. Rooms very comfortable and staff very friendly.
Booking includes breakfast which was good.
Iftar (Ramadan) was excellent.

Good easy hotel, you need a car to explore Muscat as it is out of the center. Not possible to open bedroom windows which for us is a big factor, so no fresh air, and aware this can be common for hotels in the region. Staff are very friendly and service orientated. Decent stay for the budget of what the hotel is.

Unpleasant stay at this hotel

Where do I begin? Firstly if you would like to get double charged for a room without your awareness or approval … then this is the place to stay. Myself and my family were left with no money to enjoy our stay for a couple of days as the hotel double charged us for the room without our authorisation. This prevented us from being able to go out and enjoy our holiday for a couple of days.

Further to this, the hotel failed to inform us of upcoming events that would affect our stay… giving us only 1 days notice of said event, had we had known we would have planned to stay at another hotel, as we couldn’t relax during our stay there was a dj that proceeded to play extremely loud music until 3am in the morning, followed by a live band the following day that played loud music for 5 hours the following day… imagine having lack of sleep the previous day, followed by more loud music… not ideal!

Further to this, our room was not cleaned for 3 consecutive days despite us placing a clean my room (service) light on the rooms during our stay.

Lastly, for ease of travel we utilised the hotel taxis for our journeys, and without my approval or permission my number was shared with the driver the following day, and I mentioned this to the hotel, and nothing was done. My privacy was violated.

A very unpleasant stay at this hotel, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The rooms are uncomfortable and you’re unable to open the windows for air, and it’s far from all the attractions in Muscat.

It was close to the elevator and its window show the street and some coconut trees.

The entire team was cheerful and smiling the whole time , the front desk was such a nice gentleman, he made sure that our room is convenient for my mother.

Big thanks to the housekeeping team and the head of department who came and asked us for our feedback , she really deserves big appreciation , such a nice lady !

Asked for room far away from lounge wuth band playing . We asked 3 different times in 3 different ways. We were assured that room would be quiet. Band started loud and strong in early evening and we could hear noise clearly until 100 am!!! We were room 139 which seemed to be directly on top of lounge. Couldn't sleep with the noise. Will not return to this hotel in the future.

The hotel itself was very good, friendly and helpful front desk staff, clean and comfortable rooms, in an excellent location.

Just don't be hungry. Ordered food at 11PM, didn't get it up to 2AM despite 7 follow up calls to room service. Cancelled the order at 2AM (person on the line did not care). Was woken up at 3.30AM by the WRONG food being delivered (despite cancelling the order 1.5 hours earlier). We slept hungry and fasted the next day (Ramadhan).

A great hotel ideally situated close to the airport if you are using it more frequently. Taxi costs 7 OMR (£15 ish). Good food and excellent value buffet service if you choose it. Other alacarte restaurants available also in Hotel. Super friendly staff and extremely helpful. Pool bar/ nice pool and nice garden area. Upstairs sports bar. Tennis court and spa if you fancy it. Within touching distance of the beach, but you need a car or taxi (not walkable). Small mini market not too far (for the little stuff at MUCH cheaper prices!) Surprisingly quiet whilst we were there and not in the Hubble of the town centre and crowds. If it you want that - this is not the place for you as it is quite isolated (what we actually wanted but doesn't suit all).

I had to cancel the booking as I had booked the wrong Crowne Plaza. I then stayed in there sister hotel in al Qurm and paid for it. When I asked Expedia to get a refund they refused. All part of the IHG group and I am supposed to be a gold member. Very poor service.

This is my second trip to this hotel as a part of a larger business visit. I have to say that I was quite disappointed a the hotel and especially their customer service + room services. They have no clue of what it means to be 'Clean' and 'COVID-safe'. We encountered several issues ranging from unnecessary charges to borderline denial of gold status of IHG. I think this hotel needs a serious revamp with major staff change and trainings. I am truly disappointed!

The hotel is fairly good. Polite reception personnel, but very rude personnel in the restaurant/breakfast place. Do not recommend to stay in this hotel if it’s a business trip. It cost 50 omr just to book an meeting room (just the room without any other services). Also make sure to go trough the bill before paying, the restaurant personnel added dinners that we never had. The Omani personnel in the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Normally love this hotel. But so disappointed with the service. Given wrong room, double not twin. There was blood on a towel. There were boxer shorts under the bed.
No pool bar service, even though this service was advertised.
Room service frustratingly had busy tone all of the time.
There seems to be a lack of staff.There was also a terrible constant smell of sewage.
I sent an email about the issues and haven't even had a reply.

Actually it was very bad experience its not the stander of crown plaza group as the room service was provided the food without any quality of the materials, the hotel should improve that to follow the Crown plaza standers. And the management they have to manage calls for because if u need any thing u have to contact the reception and they are busy with new arrives guest so u have to wait till u they response your calls.

The food brought to the room was not fresh until we complained. You need to keep complaining to receive good food quality.
The hospitality personals are not qualified enough to take care of the customers.
For example, the toilet paper rolls ordered to the room were sent as open rolls, indicating that they were prevously used.

Good hotel to stay at for early flights as just 10 mins drive from airport. Bit of a business hotel, but it does have a small pool, and excellent staff, however there are no views or shops restaurants nearby. We chose this for our last two days of our road trip through oman as we had a very early flight to catch and this was perfect for that reason. Would recommend

Staff was incredibly nice.The hotel is new so it's in great condition. A garden view room like mine was really not a garden view unless you look straight down. The location of this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Taxi service is quite expensive. So unless you are going to the convention center nearby by, I would stay elsewhere.

The hotel was really well located to the conference centre and definitely worth staying in if your working there, as it's only a short 10-15 min walk which I really enjoyed the three days I was exhibiting. The room is spacious, very large comfortable bed, I had heard issues about issues with the a/c but didn't experience any myself. I lived in the dressing gown in the evening, so it's nice they offered this! Staff were really friendly and the room service staff were lovely! Food was good in the restrant and for room service but both took a while, order early! Overall good location for conference centre, good quality room, enough in the hotel to keep you entertained but took taxis to other locations for the odd meal!

Modern hotel - located near the convention center

Nice hotel and hospitable staff. The rooms were very clean, modern, and comfortable. I was in town for an event at the convention center, which is just a short walk away, so the location was ideal for me. The only negative aspect for me was that there is nothing else in the area, so you can't walk around to see anything, visit other restaurants, etc. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.
