The room were immaculately cleaned. Breakfast and other meals were excellent. Nikki gave us great advice on activities to do in the area. We chose kayaking to local beaches and enjoying the gardens around the hotel. We had a fantastic stay!

Staff were kind, honest, and super helpful. They always had a warm smile for us. When I accidentally left my bag, it was kept safe and returned.
The trees near the beach are something truly special. Enjoyed the hammocks and tables on the beach.
The food in the restaurant was absolutely excellent!
While the rooms are a bit dated, they are the best in the area, and sufficient.

The hotel was convenient to ferry for early morning booking. Hotel grounds are lovely. The front desk staff spoke very good English. We’re very helpful booking our ferry for us. Unfortunately we did not eat at the restaurant. Staff appeared to be ill. So we ate at another place. They did ask if we wanted breakfast early but we declined due to feeling uncomfortable having kitchen staff prepare any food. Bartender not following hand washing practices. Very ill.
I would recommend this for one night.

We came to celebrate our 25 years wedding anniversary. We got sick with food poisoning on our day of celebrating our anniversary from consuming food or beverages from the restaurant the day before. We spend 3 days getting well and 5 days before full recovery.

We chose to stay here due to its access to the ferry. The staff and grounds were impeccable. We were welcomed with yummy welcome drinks. They even gave one to our two year old, which made her feel incredibly special. We were able to order our breakfast the night before, and it was ready for us at 7am to gobble up and head out to catch the first ferry out. The stay was quiet, relaxing, and great way to end our vacation.

This is a fabulous destination resort on the Nicoya Peninsual though it comes up as Puntarenas. If you take the Naranjo ferry, you can walk to the hotel with light luggae in 10 minutes. The grounds are gorgeous and exclusive, and it has its own beach and pier. There are many birds and iguanas sharing the property. They have many relax areas on the beach, under the trees, and by the pool.

The restaurant serves high quality food with pleasant service. The bar makes great drinks and smoothies. The resort price is very reasonable for what you get.

This resort is best if you have your own car, and if not, you need to plan your shuttle transfers carefully in advance. There are no local taxis or Ubers to use and calling for one starts at $50.

Naranjo is more North, so it would make sense if you tour southern beach towns first and this on the way up to Nicoya, Tamarindo, and Liberia.

Perfect hotel in paradise

I couldn’t think of any other place that I would like to stay. It’s a little far from the airport, but if you take the ferry it makes it a lot better. Once you take the ferry across to naranjo, The ferry is about a 3 minute drive to the hotel. The staff is so kind, food is delicious. The location is incredibly calm and serene, a beautiful get away from the touristy crowds.

I can never say enough warm words of how my family and I enjoyed the beauty and serenity of this absolute magnificent hotel, location, stuff, beach, gem of hotel. This boutique hotel with its lovely gardens, paths, pools, restaurant with fantastic food.
Amazing décor and design in every corner both in the rooms inside and in the public places. Costarica is one of my favorite countries and OPacifico is one of my favorite hotels in costarica.
I highly recommend it!! It’s absolutely wonderful!!

Favorite stay in Costa Rica!

The food at the restaurant was the best we have had in all of Costa Rica! The last at the front desk was so personable and helped bring all our luggage to our room for us so that we could make it to the restaurant before they closed. She was also just very friendly overall letting us know how life was like in that part of Costa Rica. The hotel is extremely peaceful and quiet, so very rejuvenating place to be. Also very romantic for anyone wanting a stay for that reason. Would hands down come back here.

Quiet, luxury waterfront boutique hotel with beautiful gardens and mordern decor and very comfortable bedding. Many shaded lounge chairs around the pool and beach. The beach has nice views but not so good for swimming. There's no TV in room which is a little surprise.

A cut above most boutique offerings in the area. Beautiful grounds and surroundings. Waitstaff was a little surly and borderline unresponsive, but they get a pass due to low occupancy and off-season. But certainly felt like I was imposing in the restaurant. I will return.

4 awesome nights in a little paradise

Gorgeous property - felt very secluded &
peaceful. In the property description, it says they offer bottled water, but they don't - however, there are water cooler dispensers available to use. The only real complaint is lack of hair conditioner... after spending a day in the pool & gulf/beach, a \"conditioning shampoo\" is not enough - we would have preferred to have actual conditioner for our hair (we had to go buy some). With the exception of one excursion (took the ferry to Puntarenas to buy conditioner), we never left the property. Each day, we ate breakfast, lunch, & dinner in the restaurant, and dipped in & out of the water throughout the day... great food (some of the served dishes don't match the menu descriptions, but everything was so tasty it didn't matter) & the excellent staff was super accommodating & friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Great location, a 400m drive away from the Puntarenas ferry dock. On a quiet, well paved road running south to Montezuma & north to the central belt.
Location, cleanliness, breakfast, service & facilities all 5 stars.
Unfortunately I had a couple of hit & meals though which would mark it down slightly. These were highlighted & could be easily corrected with a little more initial chef care.
The SUP’s, kayak & amenities were all very expensive for what they are. It would have been great if they were free.
There was a food menu but also no drinks menu? Bizarre. It’s always good to see the choice as opposed to have them read to you by the waiter.
Good wildlife in the grounds. Lots of iguanas & even a troop of howler monkeys.
Overall though a lovely 4 night stay.

We have decided to stay at O’Pacific for our anniversary, and the experience was just amazing!

The staff is incredibly friendly since the moment that you arrive, the rooms are super clean, also you have a lot of options of activities to do, we made a Kayak tour to see the sunset and a Paddle Board tour for the sunrise, I strongly recommend both.

Food on the restaurant is amazing, and there’s different options, we tried the sea food and it was delicious.

We will be definitely coming back, this place is a small piece of paradise in Costa Rica

Totalmente relajante. Muy cerca del Ferry de Naranjo, hotel pequeño, pero zonas verdes y piscina muy amplia. El lugar es para relajarse, tienen un árbol maravilloso que da una sombra y frescura excepcional. No hay tv en los cuartos, señal que buscan que los huéspedes logren conectarse con la serenidad y paz del lugar. Mi única observación es tener un menú más variado.

It is a very nice boutique resort. The location you can say it has a lot of nice details that make it unique. Anything is just such a zen place. A bit too close to road you can hear the cars passing by. The staff is amazingly friendly the food all made in house oganic . The beach is not as good as other place sand is rough bt you have the privacy of a boutique resort.

Really lovely oceanside property. Not many guests. Was almost like private resort. Nice rooms. Very comfy beds and linens. The property grounds is very pretty. There's a great dock that leads out into the ocean. It was very hot when we visited there. There are activities you can do, but you have to book those in advance. I was a bit confused about why they put us in a room really far from the parking when there were much closer rooms that were empty. They also make you put a deposit on your credit card before allowing you to check in. It is atypical and unnecessary. I've never had a hotel place a deposit on my card before checking in. It makes the check out process LONGER as then they have to issue a refund. REALLY poor policy for an upscale hotel. I could not give them all 5 stars because of putting my room far from the parking. I had to drag the suitcases farther. And because of the deposit requirement.

We stayed 2 nights. The guests are a mixture of Costa Rican and European. Staff are definitely happier speaking Spanish. It's not their fault if you don't speak Spanish, so take time to get things understood.
The room was comfortable and we'll equipped. Many of the rooms are set back against the road. There is some traffic noise but nothing significant if you come from the UK. The gardens down to the beach are superb and full of birds. Frigates swoop over the headlands and pelicans form up in squadrons during the day, while little blue herons share the beach with egrets and waders.
The hotel was quiet in the evening . The restaurant service was a bit erratic. Our vegan pizzas turned into vegetarian ones. When we queried the cheese on top we were assured the pizzas were vegan, despite the vegan pizza being listed as no cheese. Breakfast was adequate.
But we came for the beach not for pizza.
The beach is private, with beautiful views. Sand and silt bottom, shallow for some way out, so good for a gentle swim or kids to muck about in. Most preferred the 2 handsome pools set back from the beach.The hotel states that you can snorkel from the beach and there are fish. It would be truer to say that you can swim with a snorkel mask in the hope of seeing a fish. Visibility the first day was zero and on the second day less then a metre. Perhaps we were just unlucky in that respect. We made up for it by visiting the amazing Sylvestre Curu reserve, nearby if you have a car.

Amazing place to stay! Book it!

We booked a room the morning of the day we arrived. Plenty of onsite parking and resort was easy to find. Check in process was a breeze. The room was not ready as we were early and we got to use the amenities and restaurant. Look at my burger for lunch! Pool was very clean and great outdoor area with nice chairs. The service was amazing! Our room was exceptionally clean with a bar fridge, safe, jug of water, shampoo/soap/lotion, insect repellent and hand sanitizer. Very comfy bed and pillows and a lovely terrace. I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. I only wish we had been able to stay longer. The ferry from Playa Naranja is mins away.

This hotel was the highlight of my recent visit

This place is fantastic ! Hop on the ferry in Punta Arenas and you are there in 70 minutes. The hotel is being revamped with new interiors and linens - the works! We had one of the new rooms and it was lovely. And the restaurant is one of the best hotel restaurants I have used in Costa Rica - and I have been many times. I plan to return in June with my other daughter - so you know I liked it.

Very well kept property right by the water. Beautiful setting and great service. The rooms are very nice and all have a patio. The bed was comfortable. The only downside (very minor) is that all rooms are very close to the street. We stayed during rainy season (not much rain). The food was ok (not great but also not bad). Maybe a bit overpriced. Overall a nice place to stay if you are taking the ferry to Punte Arenas.
